Hilda Bush died Tuesday, April 11, 2000, in a local hospital.
Arrangements will be announced by Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.

Aakeem Cagkler
Aakeem Dewayne Cagkler died Monday, April 10, 2000, at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. He was 10.
Arrangements will be announced by Taylor Funeral Home.

Ben Chang
Ben Burt Chang, a native of Saigon, Vietnam, died Tuesday, April 11, 2000, in a local hospital. He was 48.
The funeral will be today at 11:30 a.m. at the Chapel of Devotion at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with pastor Leong Guan Lee officiating.
Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Leland Cowan
Leland Francis Cowan died Tuesday, April 11, 2000, at his home. He was 79.
The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with the Rev. Mike Nolan officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road.

Dr. Roberto Dominguez
Dr. Roberto Felix Dominguez of Hixson died Thursday, April 13, 2000, in a local hospital. He was 80.
A native of Camaguey, Cuba, Dr. Dominguez was a retired medical doctor who had worked at Moccasin Bend Hospital. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Isaberlta Marquez Dominguez; son, Roberto A. Dominguez; brothers, Louis and George Dominguez; sisters, Merrella, Megdalea, and Memerba Dominguez, all of Miami.
A prayer service will be today at 7 p.m. at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Hofstetter and the Rev. John O'Neal officiating.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Florence Drakeford
Florence S. Drakeford died Tuesday, April 11, 2000, at her home. She was 80.
The funeral will be held today at 12:30 p.m. at East Ridge Baptist Church with Dr. Ronnie Mitchell and the Rev. C. Henry Preston officiating.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

William Dunn
William B. "Buddy" Dunn, a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, died Tuesday, April 11, 2000, at his home. He was 76.
The funeral will be today at 3 p.m. at the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Cape officiating.
Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Eugene Fairbanks
Eugene H. "Bud" Fairbanks of Ooltewah died Wednesday, April 12, 2000, in a local hospital. He was 79.
The funeral will be today at 11:30 a.m. at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Roberts and the Rev. James Vaughn officiating.
Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.

Sue Gardner
Sue Gardner died Monday, April 10, 2000, in a local hospital. She was 64.
She was a member of Stephen Temple Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was retired from Seaboard Farms.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Novella McCrary Sr.; two brothers, Willie C. and Jimmy McCrary.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond and Larry Brown; two daughters, Daphne Brown and Barbara Davidson, all of Chattanooga; two brothers, John L. McCrary, Chattanooga, and Richard McCrary, Huntsville, Ala.; five sisters, Dilcie Stallworth, Barbara Tucker, and Frances Graves, all of Atlanta, and Constance Pope and Linda McCrary, both of Huntsville; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Stephen Temple Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Ernest Jefferson officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
The body will be at Taylor Funeral Home after noon today and at the church one hour prior to the service.

L.C. Green
L.C. Green died Monday, April 10, 2000, in a local hospital. He was 70.
The funeral will be today at 1 p.m. at St. Elmo Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Church and other ministers officiating.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Irrie Kinard
Irrie Mae Kinard of Soddy-Daisy died Thursday, April 13, 2000, in a local hospital. She was 67.
She was a licensed practical nurse in earlier years, a member of Daisy United Methodist Church and a member of Eastern Star Chapter of Tomball, Texas.
She was the widow of Douglas Kinard.
Survivors include a daughter, Dianne Cosper, Soddy-Daisy; son, James Paul Kinard, Houston; two granddaughters, and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Clark officiating.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lovie Luster
Lovie C. Luster died Friday, April 7, 2000, in an area health care facility. She was 84.
The funeral will be today at 11:30 a.m. at Mount Zion Monumental Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas Jones and other ministers officiating.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Herschel W. Owens of Ooltewah died Wednesday, April 12, 2000, in a local hospital. He was 55.
The funeral will be today at 3 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road, with minister Jim Wood officiating.
Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
Visitation will be from noon until the time of service at the funeral home.

William Schmits Jr.
William H. Schmits Jr. of Hixson died Thursday, April 13, 2000, in a local hospital. He was 46.

Manker Smedley
Manker B. Smedley of Apison, Tenn., died Thursday, April 13, 2000, at his home. He was 79.
Mr. Smedley retired from Erlanger Medical Center as assistant director of plant operations and was formerly employed with Cavalier Furniture for 20 years. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of Apison Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Poe Smedley; son, John Smedley, Apison; daughter, Gloria Green, Chattanooga; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road with the Rev. Richard Blaylock officiating.
Burial will be in Plowman Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Odessa Stevenson
Odessa Stevenson died Tuesday, April 11, 2000, in a local hospital.
Formerly of Detroit, she retired from the Detroit public school system after 14 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Octavia and George Summerow.
Survivors include her husband, Otto Stevenson; son, Ronald M. Stevenson; sister, Eddie Lou Pierce; stepmother, Ellis Summerow; stepbrother, George Summerow Jr.; step grandson; nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Saturday at Beulah Baptist Church with the Rev. Gipson officiating.
Burial will be Sunday in Shadowlawn Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceville, Ga.
Visitation will be after noon today at the Avondale Chapel of Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.
