Annie Elizabeth Bacon died Thursday, May 25, 2000. She was 79.
Arrangements will be announced by Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.

Bryan Barnes
Bryan Eugene Barnes' remains were found March 18, 2000, after missing for 11 years. He was 23 at the time of his disappearance.
Survivors include his mother, Patricia Ann Mance, St. Petersburg, Fla.; father and stepmother, Alfred and Donna Barnes, Roanoke, Va.; sister, Victoria Barnes Hawley, Vancouver, Wash.; and stepbrothers, Brian Hinton, Ringgold, and Christopher Bryant, Hattiesburg, Miss.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road, with Dr. James Macomber officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Johnny Blackwell
Johnny Lee Blackwell died Sunday, May 21, 2000, in a Tampa, Fla., hospital. He was 63.
The funeral will be today at noon at Prospect Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Jay P. Tremble officiating.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the Avondale Chapel of Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.

Catherine Brown
Catherine Brown died Sunday, May 21, 2000, in a local hospital. She was 76.
She was a native of Meridian, Miss., and a member of the Early Church of God in Christ Zion, where she served as president of the Mothers Board.
Survivors include a son, Walter R. Brown, Portland, Ore; two sisters, pastor Rebecca Scott and evangelist Annie M. Hand; one granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Avondale Chapel of Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home with elder Rufus Bryant officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be after noon today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Early Church of God in Christ Zion Church, 2005 hardy St., Chattanooga, TN 37406.

Louise Clark
Louise Derrick Clark died Sunday, May 21, 2000, in a local hospital. She was 78.
The funeral will be today at 11:30 a.m. at Tucker Baptist Church with the Rev. M.T. Billingsley officiating.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Mollie F. Crowder of Ooltewah died Tuesday, May 23, 2000, in a local hospital. She was 85.
The funeral will be today at 11:30 a.m. at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. James Elkins and the Rev. Fred Russell officiating.
Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.

Bennette Davis
Bennette H. Davis died Wednesday, May 24, 2000, at home.
Arrangements will be announced by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Mildred Dwyer
A memorial Mass for Mildred Roberts Dwyer will be said Saturday at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
Mrs. Dwyer died Wednesday, May 17, 2000, in San Antonio. She was 92.
Arrangements are by the Dodds Avenue Chapel of Turner Funeral Home.

Ethel Foltz
Ethel Odell Foltz of East Ridge and a native of McMinnville, Tenn., died Thursday, May 25, 2000, in a local hospital. She was 88.
She was the widow of Erwin Foltz, a member of Woodland Park Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star in Salem, Ore.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Leah Mantooth, Fortuna, Calif; sister, Elsie L. Grant, Chattanooga; one niece; and two nephews.
Graveside services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Rick Shepherd officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Timothy Goss
Timothy Goss died Saturday, May 20, 2000, in a local hospital. He was 44.
The funeral will be today at 1 p.m. at Community Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Bud Ballard officiating.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The body will be at the church one hour before the service.
Arrangements are by Taylor Funeral Home.

Donald Gould
Donald P. Gould died April 7, 2000, in New Orleans.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Gould,; two stepchildren, Donnie Lee Nunley and Christi Zahn, both of Manchester; and two stepgrandchildren.
The body has been cremated. There will be no service.
Arrangements are by Cumberland Funeral Home, Monteagle, Tenn.

Robert Hernendez
Robert Alexander Hernendez of Red Bank died Friday, May 19, 2000, at his home. He was 17.
The funeral will be today at 5 p.m. at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral home.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
His remains will be sent to Guerra-Gutierrez Funeral Home in Los Angeles for further services and burial.

Andreana Hill
Andreana Renee Hill, infant daughter of Gloria Hill and Anthony Michael Crowder, died Sunday, May 21, 2000, at her home.
Graveside services will be today at 10 a.m. at Lakewood Memorial Gardens, East.
Visitation will be today after 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.

Roy Hudlow
Roy Edwin Hudlow of East Ridge and a native of Dalton, Ga., died Tuesday, May 23, 2000, in a local hospital. He was 86.
The funeral will be today at 11:30 a.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Dr. William D. Slawter and the Rev. Fred Manning officiating.
Burial will be in Hamilton Memory Gardens.

Virginia Hudson
Virginia Hatfield Hudson of East Ridge died Wednesday, May 24, 2000, in a local health care facility. She was 80.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Chattanooga and the north Georgia areas, a graduate of Central High School and a longtime member of St. Gerard Catholic Church. She had worked as a sales clerk for several department stores.
She was preceded in death by two sons, William M. and Thomas R. Hudson.
Survivors include a brother, Chester Hatfield; three grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.
The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with the Rev. John Howren officiating.
Burial will be in Chickamauga City Cemetery.

John Hunkapiller
John Pierce "Buster" Hunkapiller died Wednesday, May 24, 2000, at his home. He was 58.
He was a Baptist, a son of the late Floyd Bostic and Verda Wilson Hunkapiller.
Survivors include three sons, Robby H. White, Red Bank, Scott Brady Hunkapiller, Suck Creek, Tenn., and Jeremy Edward Pierce "Chip" Hunkapiller, Chattanooga; daughter, Kala M. Hunkapiller, Chattanooga; four sisters, Mary Roberts, Jonesboro, Ga., Betty Jo Poindexter, St. Helena Island, S.C., Marie Clark, Hixson, and Carol Cagle, Birmingham; two brothers, Roy Edward Hunkapiller, Suck Creek, Tenn., and Chester Dwight Hunkapiller, Ringgold, Ga.; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at noon at the home of Roy E. Hunkapiller, 2713 Suck Creek Lane.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Alexander Jones
Alexander Thomas Jones, infant son of Kent and Dana Jones, died Wednesday, May 24, 2000.
A private graveside service will be held.

Nellie Kizzar
Nellie Brown Kizzar died Tuesday, May 23, 2000, in Soddy-Daisy Healthcare Center. She was 97.
The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Pikeville, Tenn.
Burial will be in Brayton Cemetery.

Evlyn Lindberg
Evlyn M. Lindberg of Collegedale died Thursday, May 25, 2000, in a local health care center. She was 92.
Ms. Lindberg was a native of Kansas but had spent much of her life in the Collegedale area.
She was a retired English professor from Southern Adventist University, having taught for 18 years at the college. She received a masters of arts degree and was a member of Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Survivors include several cousins, nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road with elder Dwight Herod and elder Paul Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Collegedale Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Evlyn Lindberg Scholarship Endowment Fund at Southern Adventist University.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Roy McKenzie III
Roy E. "Bud" McKenzie III, president and chief executive officer of McKenzie College here from 1982-90, died Monday, May 22, 2000, at his East Brainerd home. He was 56.
The funeral will be today at 1 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road, with Dr. Bill Owens and the Rev. Gary Roop officiating.
Entombment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.

She was a graduate of Howard High School, a member of First Baptist Church and had retired from the Chattanooga city school system after 37 years of service.
Survivors include her husband, Otis Odell Moore; daughter, Edna T. Morgan; grandson; nieces; and nephews.
The funeral will be Saturday at noon at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Adam Mckee and the Rev. Barton Thigpen officiating.
Visitation will be today at 6 p.m. at the church.

Edna Porter
Edna Holt Porter died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, in Texas City, Texas, where she had gone to visit with her son.
Mrs. Porter was a graduate of Rhea County High School in Dayton, Tenn., and had retired from Cutter Laboratory.
She was the widow of Charles William Porter.
Survivors include a son, William Douglas Wampler, Texas City; several grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Wesley Memorial Methodist Church.
Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Siskin Foundation.

Survivors include a brother, David P. Henley, Summerville; nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in Summerville Cemetery.

Antonious D. Smith died Monday, May 22, 2000, in Nashville. He was 20.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Agnes Abernathy, and a brother, Sergio Smith.

Abernathy; grandparents, Theodore Abernathy, Chattanooga, and Precious Cox, Cleveland; brother, Joseph Smith, Atlanta; three sisters, Janesha Smith, Jacqueline Lee and Jameka Smith, all of Chattanooga; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
