Services for Clark Wilkinson Burns, 81, of Troup will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Cottle Funeral Home Chapel in Troup. The Rev. James Cheatham will officiate.
Burial with Masonic graveside rites will be conducted by Dixie Masonic Lodge No. 272, and will be at Pinecrest Cemetery in Troup, under direction of the funeral home.
Mr. Burns died Sunday at a Troup nursing home. He was the only son of O. D. and Lessie Wilkinson Burns, who preceded him in death.
He graduated high school in the Salem community near Troup. He served 22 years as a machinist for the Corpus Christi Naval Air Station. He also was a 50 year member of Masons.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Priscilla Knapp.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marie Wilson Burns; a daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Douglas Jones of Houston; a sister and brother-in-law, Martha Jane and Jack Jones of Amarillo; two grandsons, Donald Peter Jones and Brian Campbell of Houston; a niece and two nephews.
Pallbearers will be Douglas Jones, Peter Jones, Brian Jones, W. D. Wilkinson, Bill Crites, Leon Smith, Joe Starnes and Leroy Streck.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Floyd Stafford Jr.
Services for Floyd Stafford Jr., 87, of New Summerfield will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pine Hill Christian Church. Freddy Spencer will officiate.
Burial will be at Union Hill Cemetery under the direction of Mercy/McGowan Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
Mr. Stafford died Wednesday at a Marlin hospital.
He was born July 27, 1923, in Cherokee County. He attended Pine Hill and New Summerfield schools and was a musician.
He was a member of Pine Hill Christian Church and served as a deacon, worked on the building fund and played the piano. He also served in the U.S. Navy for four years.
Mr. Stafford was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his stepbrother, Billy Cleaver.
Pallbearers will be family members and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Pine Hill Christian Church.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Services for Leslie Kay Ragsdale Trotter, 34, of Denison, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Parkside Baptist Church in Denison with Dr. Chet Haney and the Revs. Mel Bishara and Mike Efird and Mike Wagnor officiating.
Burial will be at 6 p.m. Monday in Earle’s Chapel Cemetery in Jacksonville under the direction of Bratcher Funeral Home in Denison.
Mrs. Trotter died Friday in Texoma Medical Center. She was born Feb. 9, 1967, in Corsicana to Stanton and Joan Singleton Ragsdale. She was a member of Parkside Baptist Church. Mrs. Trotter graduated from Kerens High School and from Navarro Junior College. She also graduated from Texas A&M. Mrs. Trotter taught in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD for 10 years. She was a member of the Texas Classroom Teachers Association. She was married to Chris Trotter on March 14, 1992, in Kerens.
Survivors include husband, Chris Trotter of Denison; daughter, Kaylee Trotter of Denison; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stanton Ragsdale of Kerens; sisters and brothers-in-laws, Robbie and Jack Lamkin of Allen and Sherry and Jack Kent of Keller; and nephews, Matthew, Jeffrey and Tyler Lamkin of Allen and Phillip Kent of Keller.
Pallbearers will be Jack Lamkin, Jack Kent, Dave Friedell, John Ragsdale, Brian Ruby, Graig Alford, Kelly Coon and Randy Ragsdale.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m. today at the Bratcher Funeral Home.

Services for Mary Jane Minton, 92, of Jacksonville will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Renfro Memorial Chapel at Boren-Conner Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip Warren.
Burial will follow in the Conner Cemetery under the direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
Mrs. Minton died Thursday in Jacksonville. She was born July 7, 1908, in Tadmor. She lived in Jacksonville for 25 years. Mrs. Minton was a retired cashier with the American National Insurance Company.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She taught Sunday school for 20 years at Helmers Street Baptist Church and 14 years at Calvary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Minton was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Minton and grandson, Joe McKay.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Eloise and Charles McKay of Jacksonville; sister, Virginia Weaver of Crockett; sister-in-law, Edna Allen of Athens; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Lange, Cliff McKay, Jennifer McKay, Shawn Wedgeworth, Casey Wedgeworth and Jared Lange.

Services for Annie Lee McNeal Devereaux, 80, of Salina, Kan., will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Geisendorf-Rush Smith Funeral Home in Salina.
Mrs. Devereaux died Monday. She was born July 20, 1921, in Smith County.
She was a retired nurse, serving hospitals in Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Devereaux.
She is survived by her daughter, Ruby Newman; sister, Maybee McNeil, both of Salina, Kan.; five grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Geisendorf-Rush Smith Funeral Home, located at 401 West Iron, Salina, Kan.

Mrs. Osgood died Tuesday at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler.
She was born April 20, 1905, in Cherokee County.
She lived in the Jacksonville area since 1973, having lived in Houston the previous 40 years.
A member of First United Methodist Church of Jacksonville, she was also a member of the Pearl Malloy Sunday School Class and Adams-Brooks Circle, and a housewife.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Osgood and parents, William and Willie Turney.
She is survived by a sister, Margie Clark of Jacksonville; niece, Eva Lovett of Dallas; and nephew, Joe Turney of Yantis.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of East Texas, Tyler.

Services for Robert Lee “Bob” Radford, 90, of Oakwood, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Bailey & Foster Chapel in Palestine. The Revs. Doug Stevens and Jim Nedbalek will officiate.
Burial will follow at Oakwood City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey and Foster Funeral Home in Palestine.
Mr. Radford died Friday at the V. A. Hospital in Temple. He was born Jan. 19, 1911, in Red Branch Community, to the late James Obediah Radford and Lula Belle Henson Radford. Mr. Radford was a roughneck and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was the last surviving member of the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church.
Mr. Radford was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Callie Radford, Marie Russell and Myrtie Crouch; and four brothers, Everett Radford, Harvey Radford, Cecil Radford and Leonard Radford.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Faye Radford of Oakwood; four daughters, Robbie Marie Scheel of Bay City, Lula Belle Rhyne of Buffalo, Connie Radford of Houston and Carolyn Smith of Tyler; a son, Joe Lyndon Radford of Tennessee Colony; a sister, Noble Morgan of Oakwood; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons: Raymond Scheel, Richard Scheel, David Scheel, Mark Scheel, Jody Radford, William Nestor, Robert Rhyne and Eric Smith.
Honorary pallbearer will be James Hendley Eldridge.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Services for Lottie J. Henderson, 67, of Abilene, and formerly of Covington, were at 1 p.m. today in Thompson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. David Wells officiated.
Burial was at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Frankston.
Mrs. Henderson died Monday at an Abilene hospital. She was born Aug. 24, 1934, in Rusk County.
A housewife, she was a member of Redeeming Love Faith Fellowship in Abilene.
She is survived by her husband, H.K. Henderson Sr., of Abilene; sons, Kenneth Henderson of Covington and Rueben Henderson of Lamesa; daughters, Karrie Johnson of Bedford and Kathy Blay of Abilene; sister, Lois Marie Redding of Garland; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers included Jason Henderson, Brad Henderson, Kelly Blay, Joe Hardt, Joe Redding and Jeffrey Redding.

Mrs. Osgood died Tuesday at a Tyler Hospice. She was born April 20, 1905, in Cherokee County.
A lifelong resident of the area, she was a member of First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville, and a member of the church’s Pearl Malloy Sunday School Class, and the Adams-Brooks Circle. She was also a housewife.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Osgood, and parents, William and Willie Turney.
She is survived by a niece, Eva Lovett of Dallas; a nephew, Joe Turney of Yantis; and a sister, Margie Clark of Jacksonville.

Connie Lee Wilcox Key, 96, a resident of the Bullard area for most of the past 76 years, passed away in Tyler on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001, following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Earl Kay, in 1973, and is survived by son, Julius William Key and his wife Wanda; daughter, Martha Jane Travis and her husband, Bob; son, James Alfred Key and his wife, Nona; 14 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Key was born near Morris in Jefferson County, Ala., on July 17, 1905 to Joseph William and Lillie Gillespie Wilcox. She spent her youth in Alabama and was living in Parrish, Ala. when she met and married Cecil Earl Key of Bullard. The couple moved to the Oak Grove community east of Bullard in 1925 where they farmed and raised their three children. While raising a family was her primary occupation, she also worked in the Bullard School cafeteria.
Later in life, her days were spent crocheting and visiting with friends and her large family.
Connie was a supportive wife, a wonderful mother, a caring grandmother and a generous friend. Many, many people - family and friends alike - actively sought her out for advice, wisdom and comfort throughout the years. In fact, if one was not careful, advice might be given even if it was not sought.
This strong, Christian woman was a Baptist and for many years, a member of the First Baptist Church of Bullard.
Pallbearers are Malcolm Key, Randy Key, Stevan Shipp, Shannon Shipp, Brian Key and Lowell Kay. Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Key, Phillip Shipp, David Key, Kyle Key, Adam Key, Aubrey Hendrick, Brewster Lynch and Jimmy Cantrell.
Visitation will be at Thompson Funeral Home in Jacksonville on Tuesday evening between 6 and 8 p.m.
The funeral service will be held at Oak Grove Bible Church on Wednesday at 10 a.m. The Rev. Bill Rambo will officiate.

Services for Violet “MawMaw” Gaylor, 79, of Jacksonville will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville. The Revs. James Blaylock and Leon Ross will officiate.
Burial will be at Jarratt Cemetery in Jacksonville.
Mrs. Gaylor died Saturday at East Texas Medical Center in Jacksonville. She was born April 25, 1922 in Rowlett.
She was a homemaker and affiliated with Craft Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Gaylor and a brother, J.A. Everett.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Leon Gaylor Sr. of Jacksonville; a son and daughter-in-law, Leon “Lonnie” and Myra Gaylor Jr.; a daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Paul Galyean of Jacksonville; and four grandchildren, Allyson Gaylor, Brent Gaylor, Chad Galyean and Leigh Galyean.
Pallbearers include Terry Morgan, Weldon Lightsey, Melvin Alexander, J.C. Thomas, Brent Gaylor and Chad Galyean.
Honorary pallbearers include all men from Craft Baptist Church and Dr. James Low.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m today at the funeral home.

Services for James A. Kelly, 86, of Rusk will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Renfro Memorial Chapel at Boren-Conner Funeral Home. Nathan Lawson will officiate.
Burial will be at Williams Cemetery in Arp under the direction of the funeral home.
Mr. Kelly died Saturday at a Jacksonville hospital. He was born Nov. 26, 1915, in Hamilton.
He was a resident of the Jacksonville and Rusk area for 38 years.
A Seventh Day Adventist, he was also a retired mechanic, previously employed by Houston Shell and Concrete.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Fannie Rosabelle Kelly.
He is survived by a son, Herman Ray Kelly of Houston; a daughter, Doris Bemis of Rusk; a sister, Lois Gray of Midland; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers include Herman Kelly Jr., J.W. Hammons, Kelly A. Hammons, Dennis Brooks, Adam K. Bemis and Leroy Weesner.
Honorary pallbearer is Juan Perez Jr.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Visitation for Richard D. Dennis, 77, of Bullard and formerly of Waco and Brownwood, were Saturday at 10 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
The family also received friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Dennis died Thursday at a Tyler hospital. He was born Sept. 24, 1924, in Waco.
He was a retired manufacturing representative for TWT Molding in Brownwood. He also served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant.
He graduated from Texas A&M in 1949.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Dennis of Temple; daughters, Deborah Ann Younts of Dallas, Judith K. Linder of Reklaw and Janet R. Dennis of Tyler; brother, Robert E. Dennis of Brownwood; five grandchildren; and two nieces.

Mrs. Forman died Saturday. She was born Dec. 16, 1910, in Schulenburg.
She was a resident of Atoy 23 years and a member of Atoy Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by son, Thaddeaus Kimbrough.
She is survived by husband, W.S. “Bill” Forman of Atoy; sons and daughters-in-law, Calvin Kimbrough of Nacogdoches, Marion and Annette Kimbrough of Nacogdoches, Jimmie and Debbie Spies of Douglass and Billy and Sherrill Spies of Spring; sister and brother-in-law, Julie and R.B. Neal of Center; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in Jacksonville City Cemetery under the direction of Williams Funeral Home.
Mr. Wilson died Wednesday. He was born Aug. 5, 1905, in Cuney. He was an active member of Rising Star Baptist Church and had retired from Dublin Grocery and Abel’s Pharmacy. He served as chairman of the deacon board, president of the usher board, a Sunday school superintendent and as trustee of the Palestine Bowen District Association.
Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents and son, Vernon Wilson. Survivors include his wife, Josephine Wilson of Jacksonville; sons and daughter-in-law, Derwood and Rita Wilson of Tacoma, Wash., and Robert and Marvin Wilson, both of Jacksonville; daughters and sons-in-law, Victoria and Willie Story of Corona, Calif., Debra and Gary McClelland of Jacksonville and Margie Phillips of Houston; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three god-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Raymond Scott, Paul Burdett, Robert Johnson, Billie Berry, Charles Bagley and Robert McClelland. Honorary pallbearers include deacons, James Lacy, Lowell Battle, Jesse Thompson, J.V. Hightower, Nathaniel Knowlton, Aaron Session and Gary McClelland.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
