Services for Violet “MawMaw” Gaylor, 79, of Jacksonville, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Blaylock and the Rev. Leon Ross officiating.
Burial will be held at Jarratt Cemetery in Jacksonville.
Mrs. Gaylor died Saturday at East Texas Medical Center in Jacksonville. She was born April 25, 1922, in Rowlett. Mrs. Gaylor was a homemaker. She was a member of Craft Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Gaylor and brother, J.A. Everett.
Survivors include husband, the Rev. Leon Gaylor Sr. of Jacksonville; son and daughter-in-law, Leon “Lonnie” and Myra Gaylor of Waxahachie; daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Paul Galyean of Jacksonville; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Services for Minnie Mae McCullough of Jacksonville will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Rising Star Baptist Church. The Revs. James Peoples, K.B. Clater and Daniel Brown will officiate.
Burial will be at Jacksonville Cemetery under the direction of Williams Funeral Home.
Mrs. McCullough died Thursday at Twin Oaks nursing home. She was born May 13, 1923, in Grapeland.
She attended Fred Douglass High School in Jacksonville.
She was a member of Rising Star Baptist Church, where she had served in the senior choir and the usher board; as vice-president of the Missionary Society; and taught the intermediate Sunday Bible class.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry McCullough and two stepsons.
Survivors include a sister, Ruby Lowell Battle, Jacksonville; stepdaughter, Betty Bennett of Dallas; stepsons, H.C. McCullough of California and John J. McCullough of Dallas; daughter-in-law, Minnie J. McCullough of Athens; aunt and uncle who reared her, Melvina and Albert Herod; sisters-in-law, Helena Herod and Johnnie McCullough of Jacksonville; and numerous other relatives.
Pallbearers include Lorenze McCullough, Corey Session, Tony Franklin, Carlos Battles, Jeramil Harris, Ladaron Session and Tedrick Willis.
Honorary pallbearers are deacons of Rising Star Baptist Church and Bradis Browning.

Graveside services for Patsy Janet Warrington, 58, of Fredericksburg and formerly of Frankston, will be at 3 p.m. today. Oles Pinson will officiate.
Services are under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home in Frankston.
Mrs. Warrington died Thursday in Fredericksburg. She was born Feb. 28, 1943, in Jacksonville.
She was an accountant for Fredericksburg Enterprises and affiliated with Frankston Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lucille Cook.
Survivors include her sons, Brandon Warrington of Fredericksburg and Steven Warrington of New York; brother, Barry Cook of Frankston; and grandchildren, Madison and Mackensie Warrington.
Honorary pallbearers are Mike Cook, David Coker, Steve Mascorro, Allen Warrington, James Keith Warrington, Jeffrey Warrington, David Warrington, Bobby Johnson, Mike Reece, Chuck Reece and Randy Reece.

The Rev. Grady Higgs will officiate.
Services are under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Jacksonville.
Mrs. Middleton died Friday at a local hospital.
She was born May 17, 1912, in Jacksonville.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville.
Survivors include her daughters, Pat Seale of Houston and Mary Ann Newburn of Tyler; brother, Wilson Clark of Orange; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services for Fred W. Lunsford, 84, of Rusk will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church. The Revs. Virgil Matthews and David Porterfield will officiate.
Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk.
Mr. Lunsford died Friday at East Texas Medical Center in Jacksonville. He was born March 22, 1917, in Rusk.
He attended Rusk High School, a vocational school and military flying schools.
He lived all but four years in Rusk.
A member of First United Methodist Church, he was retired from Rusk Post Office as postmaster.
He was a member of Rusk Euclid Masonic Lodge No. 45 for 50 years, a former veterans service officer and former board member of Rusk City Council.
He served as a first lieutenant in the Air Force during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Lunsford; a brother, John Robert Lunsford; and two sisters, Louise Houston and Gertrude Lunsford.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Bessie Lunsford of Rusk; son, Frederic Lunsford of Rusk; sister and brother-in-law, Berniece and Jim Roach of Rusk; three grandchildren; and great-grandson.
Pallbearers include John Hunter, Joe Weaver, Glenn Miller, Jamie Oliver, Lewis Byers and Steve Herring.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Johnson died Sunday at East Texas Medical Center in Jacksonville. He was born March 2, 1918, in Rusk County. He had been a member of West Holly Spring Church of the Living God. He served in the U.S. Navy for two years and was a veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his brothers, Wright Johnson of Jacksonville and James Johnson of Rusk; sisters, Bobby and Vivian Johnson, both of Jacksonville; nephews; and friends of the family.

A San Antonio service is also scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday at Hardy’s Mortuary Chapel in San Antonio. Elder C.W. Steward will officiate.
Burial will be at Ragsdale Cemetery in Jacksonville.
Mrs. Cawthon died Monday.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Lessie Riden of Jacksonville; niece, Eula Dennis of Jacksonville; and nephews, Early Polk of Tyler and Ernest Polk of Sacramento, Calif.

Graveside services for Lorene Longmire Norris, 88, of Whitehouse were held at 4 p.m. Saturday in Meador Cemetery under the direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
Mrs. Norris died Friday in Whitehouse. She was born Sept. 26, 1913, in Jacksonville. She was a lifelong resident of the Tyler/Jacksonville area. Mrs. Norris was a retired medical secretary. She was also a Baptist.
Mrs. Norris was preceded in death by her husband, George Cleveland Norris; and sisters, Lucille and Naomi Longmire.
Survivors include her sister, Jessie Cain of Whitehouse; nephews, Anthony and Victor Cain of Tyler; and great nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Services for the Rev. Clifton Otto Eubanks, 73, of Palestine, formerly of Jacksonville and Frankston, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Thompson Funeral Home in Frankston with the Rev. Mitchell McRight officiating.
Burial will be at Garden Oaks Memorial Park in Berryville under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.
Mr. Eubanks died Friday in Tyler.
He was born Aug. 26, 1928, in Athens, Ala. He worked at Conoco Oil for 15 years in Dallas.
He was owner of Eubanks Exxon Station on Crockett Road in Palestine from 1985-1993.
Mr. Eubanks was minister at West Side Baptist Church in Jacksonville from 1990 until 1995 and was a Sunday school teacher at Lakeside Baptist Church in Lake Palestine.
He was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church.
Mr. Eubanks was preceded in death by his father and mother, Calvin and Odell Eubanks.
Survivors include his wife, Charlene Eubanks of Palestine; step sons, Donnie Ray Overall of Neches and Rickie Lynn Overall of Frankston; three daughters, brother, Eugene Eubanks of Athens, Ala.; sister, Wilma Tribble of Athens, Ala.; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Williams died Monday at a Jacksonville hospital.
She was born March 1, 1914, in the Pine Grove community. She attended Jacksonville schools and was a member of the Pennell Chapel C.M.E. Church. She was also a housewife.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband; son, Earnest; and daughter, Patricia Cuba.
Survivors include sons, Richard Williams Jr. and Kenneth Williams, both of Jacksonville and Ernest Williams of Houston; daughters, Bertha McCuin of Flint, Lillie Pearl Miles of Bullard, Wanda Sue Williams of Bullard, Johnnie Faye McCuin, Erma Jean Williams, Barbara Ann Williams, all of Jacksonville; brother, the Rev. Rogers Hunter of Jacksonville; sisters, Henretta Williams of Tuson, Ariz., Diotha Mosley and Nova Franklin, both of Jacksonville, Helen Hobbs of Cleveland, Ohio and Francis Wroe of Fort Worth; 32 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David McCuin, Jeffrey McCuin, Tony McCuin, Corey McCuin, Raymond McCuin, Matthew McCuin and Melvin McCuin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Royce McCuin, Ralph Bowens, Randy Hunter and Roger Hunter Jr.

Services for James Donald Thompson, 74, of Atoka, Okla., will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Brown’s Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dee Justus officiating.
Burial will be at Darwin Cemetery in Atoka.
Mr. Thompson died Thursday.
He was born Jan. 28, 1928, in Daisy, Okla. He attended schools at Goss and Daisy.
Mr. Thompson worked a number of years as a highliner for R.S. Goodman Pole Line Construction and worked on the Carr Ranch for over 20 years.
He was married to Billie Frances Parmley of Feb. 6, 1959.
He was a member of the Church of God.
Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his parents, sons, Pete Durant and Stacy Thompson; brothers, Robert Thompson and infant Owen Thompson; and brothers-in-law, Robert Briggs and Jim Logue.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony and Sandy Thompson, Maurice and Scarlett Thompson, Alan and Sue Durant, all of Akota, and Zane and Josette Thompson of Jacksonville; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Allen of Deborah and Donnie Kenyon of, both of Akota, Rhonda and Mike Loudermilk of Coalgate; and Tracy and Marty Ford of Stigler; brothers and sisters-in-law, Floyd Wayne and Louise Thompson of Anchorage, Ala., Freeman and Regina Thompson of Atoka and Raymond Harold Thompson of Atoka; sisters and brothers-in-law, Zelpha Briggs of Hayward, Calif., Nora and Royce Parson of Aurora, Colo.; Irene Logue of Atoka and Joyce and Bill Doane of Atoka; 28 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.

Mrs. Tullos died Friday in Palestine. She was born April 25, 1920, in Gallatin. She worked at Children Clothing Manufacturer in Groveton. She was also a member of Gallatin Church of Christ.
Mrs. Tullos was preceded in death her husband, McAdoo Tullos; sons, Lanier Tullos and Richard Roland; brother, Letcher Clifton; and sisters, Ruby Carnes and Jessie Cotton.
Survivors include daughter, Mary Maxine Reynolds of Tennessee Colony; and sister, Wanda Conway of Gallatin.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Services for Lois Fletcher Vickery, 83, of Palestine will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at United Pentecostal Church in Palestine with the Rev. W.E. Shiflet and the Rev. George Alvarado officiating.
Burial will be at Fields Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home.
Mrs. Vickery died Thursday at a Tyler hospital. She was born June 27, 1918, in Anderson County and was a lifelong area resident. She was a member of United Pentecostal Church. Mrs. Vickery and her first husband, Jack Fletcher, ran Fletcher Grocery Store in Palestine for 42 years.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Fletcher in 1972, and son, Clavin Fletcher in 1970.
Survivors include daughter, Minnie Louise Jones of Palestine; stepdaughters, Pearl Coslett of Palestine, Josie Croft of Palestine and Nora Christian of Weatherford; brothers, Curtis Langston of New Caney and Frances “Tuck” Langston of Maydelle; sisters, Callie Fletcher of Oakland, Dora B. Lusk of Maydelle, Birtie Bowman of Elkhart, Mary Weaver of Flo and Allie Croft of Elkhart; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Billy Fletcher, Ricky Frazier, Joe Roy Fletcher, Todd Langston, J.R. Lusk, James Bowman, Bruce Bowman and Wayne Langston.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jones died Tuesday at a Jacksonville nursing home.
She was born Oct. 23, 1914, to the Rev. Frank Wright and Martha Smith of Slocum. She was a retired machinist for Hughes Tool Co. She was also a member of First Baptist Church in Jacksonville.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Henry D. Jones.
Survivors include sister-in-law, Eula Mae Jones Kennon of Houston and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services for Margie M. Snell Junghans Jent, 74, of Jacksonville will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Crystal Springs Church in Anacoco, La.
Officiating will be Brother Ken McEachern of Beall Chapel Baptist Church in Jacksonville.
Burial will be at Mitchell Cemetery in Anacoco, La. Services are under the direction of Hixon Funeral Home, Leesville, La.
Mrs. Jent died Tuesday in Jacksonville, just six hours short of her 75th birthday.
She was born Feb. 13, 1927, in Anacoco, La. She was a member of Beall Chapel Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mason and Ruby Snell; brothers, Jimmy Snell and H.R. Snell; first husband and father of her three children, Harlow Paul Junghans; and her second husband, Homer (Chuck) Jent.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Kello and Brenda Jenkins, both of Jacksonville; son and daughter-in-law, Dale Mason and Susan Junghans of Navasota; stepchildren, Connie Gragg, David Jent and Andy Jent; 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and sister, Hilda Snell Fuller of Shreveport, La.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Alan Junghans, William Kello, Jonathan Burgess, Lance and James Morman and nephew Randy Fuller.
Honorary pallbearers will be nephews, Paul and Karl Mason Fuller and son-in-law, Danny Tarlton.
Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home

Services for Ernest “Pete” Dennis, 67, of the Pine Grove Community near Jacksonville, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pennel Chapel C.M.E. Church. The Revs. Charles Hill and Roger Hunter will officiate.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery under the direction of Williams Funeral Home.
Mr. Dennis died Saturday at his residence. He was born Nov. 5, 1934, in Jacksonville.
He attended Pine Public School and Fred Douglass High School in Jacksonville, and was a lifelong resident of Cherokee County.
He was a logger and farmer.
He was preceded in death by a daughter; son; parents; and two brothers.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Ernest Ray and Anna Dennis and Ronnie and Vanita Dennis, all of Tyler; two sisters-in-law, Janie Dennis and Eula Dennis, both of Jacksonville; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers include Travis Porter, Jimmy Mosley, Tyree Wells, Roy Mosley, Lester Dennis, Gerald Wayne Porter and Glen Dennis.

Mr. Houston died Tuesday at his residence.
He was born Oct. 7, 1954, in Pasadena.
He had lived most of his life in Rusk.
Mr. Houston was a Baptist. He was a truck driver and served in the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Drannon Eugene Houston Jr. and Wanda King Houston.
Survivors include a daughter, Stephanie Houston of Dallas; brother, Kenneth Houston of Rusk; sister, Sharon Hunt of Nacogdoches; nephews, Chris Hunt of Germany and Matt Hunt of Rusk; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Mr. Fields died Wednesday at a Tyler hospital.
He was born Feb. 2, 1923, in Troup. He was a lifelong resident of Troup and was a retired farmer.
Mr. Fields was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Sr. and Leta Fields and his sister, Maureen McMichael.
Survivors include his brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Alice Fields and Morgan and Cathy Miller, all of Troup; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tommy McMichael, Robert McMichael, Randy Fields, Scott Fields, Michael Bender and Morgan Bender.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Services for Lloyd Stafford Jr., 87, of New Summerfield will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pine Hill Christian Church. Freddy Spencer will officiate.
Burial will be at Union Hill Cemetery under the direction of Mercy/McGowan Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
Mr. Stafford died Wednesday at a Marlin hospital.
He was born July 27, 1923, in Cherokee County. He attended Pine Hill and New Summerfield schools and was a musician.
He was a member of Pine Hill Christian Church and served as a deacon, worked on the building fund and played the piano. He also served in the U.S. Navy for four years.
Mr. Stafford was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his stepbrother, Billy Cleaver.
Pallbearers will be family members and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Pine Hill Christian Church.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
