Anna Bonanno
Anna (Beatrice) Bonanno, 92, died Saturday afternoon, May 17, 2003 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA Mrs. Bonanno was a life long resident of Malden and a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. She was a member of the Malden Moose Club along with her late husband. Anna was a active member of the Malden Y.W.C.A. and loved cooking for her whole family. Anna and her husband Frank were married in Revere, on September 18, 1929 and they spent 52 years together until his passing on April 5, 1981.
She is survived by her daughters Josephine G. Bille of Quincy and Frances A. Driscoll of Malden and her son Frank A. Bonanno of Topsfield and her sevengrandchildrenand twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank A. Bonanno Sr., her father Domenic Beatrice, her mother Carmela Saracino, her sisters Jenny Lepore and Mary Grella, her brothers, Carl, Louis, George, Albert Beatrice.
She was born March 6, 1911 in Lynn, MA the daughter of the late Domenic and Carmela (Saracino) Beatrice.
Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden on Monday, from 4-8 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at 9:00 A.M. in St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem St., Malden. The Rev. William J. Minigan, Pastor of St. Josephs Church will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.

Edna Borjeson
Edna (Burnett) Borjeson, 91, died Friday, January 30, 2004 at the Mc Fadden Memorial Manor in Malden, MA. Edna was born and educated in Everett and after completing high school she went to work for Chevron-Texaco of Boston. She was employed there for over forty years as an office administrator retiring in the late sixty’s. When she retired she became an area representative for Amway Products which she enjoyed doing for over twenty years. She was an active member of the First Lutheran Church of Malden, a long time member of the Malden Council of Churches, Church Women United of Malden, a member of the Tri-City Mental Health where she served on the Board of Director and was active in numerous volunteer activities throughout the city. Mrs. Borjeson lived in Malden, MA for the past fifty-five years and was previously from Everett.
She is survived by a niece and nephews and many grand nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Borjeson of Malden and her brother, Robert Burnett of Wakefield.
She was born November 11, 1912 in Everett, Massachusetts the daughter of the late Robert and Eva (Lantz) Burnett.
Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, MA on Tuesday from 9-9:30 AM

Janet Elizabeth Bouleau
Janet E. Bouleau, 64, died Monday, February 7, 2005 at the Lynn Union Hospital in Lynn, MAShe was born on November 22, 1940 in Woburn, Massachusetts, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (DeLoriea) Bouleau.Janet was raised and educated in Andover. She was a graduate of Andover High School with the class of 1958. After high school, Janet attended a secretCourier school in Boston and would go on to work for IBM Corporation in Boston for the next twenty-seven years as a Executive Planner for IBM at the time of her retirement in 1988. Janet had a fond love for collecting all different kinds of antiques, especially antique dolls and teddy bears. Janet was a Lynn resident, for the past 12 years.
She is survived by her brother Paul J. and his wife, Roberta Bouleau of Saginaw, Michigan, her brother David Bouleau of Burlington, VT, and her friends Anthony Dickinson of Malden and Jackie Courtney of Lynn.

Alfreda Mary Bourgea
Alfreda M. Bourgea, 71, a housewife, died Tuesday, November 13, 2001 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA after a long illness.
Alfreda was born in Rumford, ME, she was educated in the Rumford school system and graduated from the Stevens High School in Rumford, Class of 1948. Alfreda had lived in Maine until 1955 before coming to Malden.
Alfreda and her husband Roland were married on September 2, 1951 in St. John's Church in Rumford and they later moved in 1955 to Malden and had resided here for the last 46 years.
On September 2, 2001 Alfreda & Roland celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary. Alfreda was a longtime communicant of Sacred Hearts Church in Malden.
She is survived by her husband Roland J. Bourgea of Malden, her daughter, AnneM. Good of Somerville, her sons, Paul R. Bourgea of Holbrook and John J. Bourgea of Malden. Her sisters, Theresa Vaillancourt of Maine, Rita Morton of CT, Bertha Theriault of Maine, Pauline Roberge of NH and her brothers Jeff Theriault of Maine, Norman Theriault of Maine. Also survived by six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Alfreda was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Theriault formerly of Peabody.
She was born June 12, 1930 in Rumford, Maine the daughter of the late Alfred and Gertrude (Poirier) Theriault.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Alfreda's memory maybe made to the American Diabetes Association / Mass Chapter, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
Friends and relatives are invited to a memorial mass that will be celebrated on Saturday, November 17, 2001 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main St., Malden. The Rev. Francis E. Sullivan of Sacred Hearts Church will be the celebrant.

Gloria Rosemarie Bourgoin
Gloria Rosemarie (Crook) Bourgoin, 76, died suddenly Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at her home in Malden, MA. Gloria was born and educated in Campbellton, Nova Scotia, Canada. When she completed college she worked as a bookkeeper then enlisted in the Canada Army serving during W.W. II. Upon her discharge she married and came to the United States residing in Fort Kent, Maine before settling in Malden over thirty-two years ago. She was a member of Sacred Hearts Parish in Malden.
She is survived by her daughter, Cristina L. MacDonald of NH, her son, James G. Bourgoin of East Wareham, her brothers; Charles, Raymond and Robert Crook all of Canada, and her sisters; Patricia Manduca of ME, Alice Riley of Canada, and four grandchildren.
She was born March 5, 1928 in Cambellton, New Brunswick, Canada the daughter of the late Thomas and Nelida (Bourgoin) Crook.

Dorothy Jean Bowdren
Dorothy Jean( MacBride) Bowdren, 94, a homemaker, died Monday, January 27, 2003 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA Dorothy was born and educated in Melrose and settled in Malden in 1929. She was a life member of the Ladies Aid Association of the Malden Hospital.
She is survived by her daughter Dorothy J. Gordimer, and her son-in-law George Gordimer of NJ.
She was preceded in death by her husband Vincent R. Bowdren, her father William MacBride, and her mother Charlotte Perry.
She was born August 11, 1908 in Melrose, MAthe daughter of the late William and Charlotte (Perry) MacBride.
Visiting hours have been omitted. Contributions in her memory maybe made to the charity of ones choice.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 1, 2003 at 10:00 A.M. at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home. 144 Salem St. Malden. Rev. Randall P. Ferrara of The First Church in Malden Congregation will be officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.

George William BowdridgeJr.
George W. Bowdridge Jr., 53, an activities director, died Sunday, December 9, 2001 at Wingate at Reading in Reading, MA, after a long illness. Mr. Bowdridge had been a life long resident ofMalden and was the activities director for the Davenport Memorial Home in Malden, for the last 5 years until has passing. George was a graduate of Malden High School Class of 1967. After high school he became a graduate of Northern Essex Agricultural School. He enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard in May 1969 and served in Vietnam. When he was discharged he continued his education and received his associate's degree at Fisher College and continued his studies at Salem State & Northeastern University.
George was a longtime member and former chairman of Deacons at the First Baptist Church, in Malden. He served as the former chaplain of the Boston Regional Hospital in Stoneham and was on the Board of Directors with the Habitat for Humanity/ North Shore. He also received his certification as an EMT and was the Supervisor of the Chair Cars for Cataldo Ambulance Service in Melrose. In his youth he was active with the Boy Scouts in Malden and with St. Paul's Episcopal Church. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge # 201 Everett and the Demolay in Malden. George loved to visit lighthouses and was even assigned to the Chatham Lighthouse when he was with the Coast Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Susan J. (Taylor) Bowdridge, his sons Todd M. and Josh W. Bowdridge both of Malden, his daughter Kimberley J. McHale and her husband John of Missouri. His mother Esther F. (Matthews) Lennick of Malden, and his sister Lorraine Vasquez of New York, his grandchildren Amber J. and Sean M. McHale both of Missouri. His sister-in-law Anita Taylor of Maine and his cousin Hilton Bowdridge of Brockton and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father George W. Bowdridge Sr., and his brother-in-law Calvin G. Taylor.
George was born May 27, 1948 in Malden, MA He served with the U.S. Coast Guard from May 1969 to May 1973. He received the Vietnam Service Medal, the First Coast Guard Good Service Medal and the National Defense Medal. He later served with the Coast Guard Reserve.
Visitation will be held at the Weir- MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden on Wednesday, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2001 at 11AM at the First Baptist Church, 493 Main St., Malden. The Rev. Martha A. Dominy of First Baptist Church will be officiating. Cremation will follow in Woodlawn Crematory in Everett. Interment in Forest Dale Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested contributions in George's memory be made to the First Baptist Church, Tower Fund, C/O the above named church or the Habitat for Humanity/ North Shore, 215 Maple St. Lynn, MA 01905.

Khristina Joanne Boyce
Khristina Joanne Boyce, 24, died suddenly, Sunday, November 4, 2001 as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident on Route 1 in Saugus, MA. Khris was born and educated in Malden and while in high school she was a member of the Girl's Softball and Gymnastic Teams and a member of the Cheerleader Squad. She graduated Malden High School with the "Class of 1995". When she completed high school she went to work for the IGA Insurance Company of Boston as a clerk. She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Malden and assisted in the coaching of the Pop Warner Football Cheerleaders “B” Squad and was an avid dancer. Miss Boyce was a lifelong resident of Malden, MA.
She is survived by her father and mother Donald W. Jr. and Linda A. (Medugno) Boyce of Malden, her brother, Donald W. Boyce III of Malden, her sister, Linda A. Boyce of Malden, her paternal grandparents, Donald W. & Joan A. (Mac Cuish) Boyce of Malden, and her maternal grandmother Jeanette (Perilli) Medugno) of Malden.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Thomas Medugno of Malden.
She was born July 13, 1977 in Malden, Massachusetts the daughter of Donald W. and Linda (Medugno) Boyce, Jr..

William Allen Boyd
William Allen Boyd, 45, died Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, after a brief battle with cancer. William was a life long resident of Malden. He was a graduate of Northeast Regional Voke School in Wakefield, with the class of 1976. After high school he worked for the Maplewood Meat Market as a butcher and later for Hilltop Steak House as a butcher. He worked for the Avis Auto Agency in Boston as a bus driver & limo driver. He later was employed with the City of Boston as a school bus driver for 18 years until a disability from an accident he was involved in forced his early retirement. Bill was involved with the bus drivers union, the Steelworkers of America Local #8751, where he served as the Shop Steward, and as Picket Captain. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed all Boston sports teams, and he also loved collecting die cast cars.
He is survived by his wife Genevieve (Hickey) of Malden, MA, his mother Claire L. (Rancourt) Boyd, his children, David , Joseph, and Genevieve. His brothers , John J. of Oregon, DennisJ. of Malden, Stephen M. of Exeter, NH, and Debra E. Bennett of Malden, Diane L. Lanouette of Malden, his grandchildren Noami and Max, his mother and father-in-Law, Mr. and Mrs. James P. Hickey, his sister-in-laws Cheryl Fleming of NH, Elizabeth Milano of NH, his brother-in-law James Hickey of Malden, as well as 30 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father John Boyd.
Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Thursday, April 15th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
Funeral services will be held Friday, at First Baptist Church, 493 Main Street, Malden, at 10 AM.Interment will be private.

Helen Avjian Bradbury
Helen A. (Avjian) Bradbury, 99, died Tuesday evening, June 4, 2002 at the Dexter House Nursing Home in Malden, MA. Helen was a graduate of Malden High School and was a longtime member of St. Paul's Episcopal Parish in Malden. Helen was active member of St. Agnes Guild of St. Paul's Parish & St. Paul's Alter Guild. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid Association of the Malden Hospital and a member of Malden Old and New. Helen was a payroll supervisor for the Converse Rubber Co., in Malden were she had worked for 32 years until her retirement.. Helen was a longtime resident of Malden and had lived in Saugus at one time.
She is survived by many of her loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph H. Bradbury, her father James Avjian, her mother Margaret (Marshall) Avjian, her brothers Albert Avjian, Henry Avjian, James "Mike" Avjian all formerly of Malden and John Avjian formerly of Fort Meyers, FL.
She was born December 4, 1902 in Malden, MA the daughter of the late James and Margaret (Marshall) Avjian.

Kathe Margaret Breiter
Kathe Margaret (Rosenberg) Breiter, 87, died Sunday, September 22, 2002 at the Bear Hill Nursing Center in Wakefield, MA after a short illness. Mrs. Breiter had resided in Malden for the last twenty-five years and was previously from Weehawken, NJ where she had lived for sixteen years. She was a retired personnel assistant for Sears, Roebucks Co, in Union City, NJ were she worked for 25 years and retired in 1977. After her retirement, Kathe and her husband Gustav moved to Malden. Kathe was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Malden and Women's Club of the Heritage. Mrs. Breiter and her husband loved to take long walks and travel with the senior group's at the Heritage on different outings. Some of her favorite pastimes were bowling, knitting, needlework as well as crocheting. She enjoyed making Christmas decoration and gifts for her family and friends. She spend a lot of time with her grandchildren and loved baby sitting them when they were younger.
She is survived by her daughters, Margaret E. Drees and her husband Brian of Malden, Helen R. Fardy and her husband Francis of Reading. Her grandchildren Jessica, Joanna and Kimberly Fardy, Emily and Jeffrey Drees.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gustav H. Breiter, her father Carl Rosenberg, and her mother Bertha Patjens.
She was born July 23, 1915 in Cuxhaven, Germany, the daughter of the late Carl and Bertha (Patjens) Rosenberg.

Anyone wishing to attend should meet the family in the Woodlawn Cemetery Chapel parking lot prior to the service. The Rev. James W. Knowles of First Lutheran Church of Malden will be officiating. Following the graveside service there will be a Memorial Service held at the First Lutheran Church, 62 Church St. Malden at 10:30AM.

Jean Catherine Brennan
Jean Catherine Brennan, 70, homemaker, died Sunday, September 23, 2001 at UMASS Memorial Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts. Jean was born in Malden, and then raised and educated in Somerville. She grew up as a member of St. Ann's Church in Somerville.After high school, she worked in various jobs, including waitressing, and working at the Schrafts Candy Co, in Charlestown. After marrying her husband David L. Brennan in 1956, she settled down to raise her family. They eventually moved to Malden from Somerville in 1973. She shared 27 years with David until his passing in 1983.She had recently moved to Francis Gardens, a retirement community in Shrewsbury, so she could be near her daughter. Mrs. Brennan lived in Shrewsbury, for the past 9 Months and was previously from Malden and Somerville.
She is survived by sons David J. Brennan of Michigan and Gary F. Brennan of Somerville, daughter Jean P. Gearty of Shrewsbury, sister Marie DiPirro of Melrose, brothers Eugene O'Brien of Leicester, and William O'Brien of Somerville, sister Patricia Jones of Florida, brother Daniel O'Brien of Everett, and sister Virginia Caruso of Belmont. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband David, her daughter Jane M. Brennan, her brother Harold O'brien, her sister Helen Mitrano, her sister Frances Pelham, and her sister Edith Nardonne.

Katherine “Kaye” Brennan
Katherine “Kaye” Brennan, 74, died Thursday, January 27, 2005 at the Courtyard Nursing Care Center in Medford, MA. Kaye was born in Boston, raised and educated in Malden graduating from Malden High School with "The Class of 1949" When she completed school she went to work for the New England Telephone Co in Malden and Harrison Avenue in Boston. She was employed for the telephone company for over forty five years and at her retirement in 1995 she was a line supervisor. She was a member of Sacred Hearts Church in Malden and Kaye enjoyed swimming at the "Y" , loved animal and enjoyed her early morning walks with her dog. She was also a person her enjoyed telling stories and would entertain her co-workers and friend for hours with her tales. Miss Brennan was a lifelong resident of Malden.

Robert Ammon Bressler
Robert Ammon Bressler, 76, died Friday, April 2, 2004 at the Epoch Senior Care of Melrose in Melrose, MA. Robert was born and educated in Tower City, PA and when W.W. II broke out he enlisted in the U.S. Navy at the age of seventeen. He saw service in the Asiatic and Pacific Campaigns and was discharged in Boston from the USS PCE 894 in 1949. He and his wife, Helen, then moved to Everett where Bob completed his schooling, graduating from Everett High School with the Class of 1950.. He and his wife then moved to Malden where he was employed for several dry cleaning companies in the area as a cleaner spotter. In 1970 he became a custodian at the Malden High School where he was employed until his retirement 1in 1993. He was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Malden and the American Legion of Boston. He was also an avid square dancer. Mr. Bressler lived in Malden, Massachusetts for the past fifty four years.
He is survived by his wife, Helen E. (Bello) Bressler of Malden, MA his sister, Ruth Zimmerman of PA and several nieces and nephews..
He was born January 3, 1928 in Tower City, Pennsylvania the son of the late Harvey and Eva (Kuntzleman) Bressler.

Paul E. “Neddy” Brewer
Paul E. “Neddy” Brewer, 61, died Saturday, March 30, 2002 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA after a brief illness. 'Neddy" was born and educated in Malden graduating Malden High School with the Class of 1958. When he completed school he enlisted in the United States Air Force serving in Japan and Hawaii. When he was discharged he returned to Malden and married his wife Karlene G. Schumann. He was employed as a bartender at Tiny's Cafe in Everett for several years. He then became a custodian for the City of Medford School Dept. and when he retired in 1977 he was assigned to the high school. Mr. Brewer was a lifelong resident of Malden.
He is survived by his wife, Karlene G. (Schumann) Brewer of Malden, his daughters, Kim E. Carucci of Haverhill, Karlene G. Quigley-Dos Santos of Malden, his sisters, Linda Fusco of Lynnfield, Judith Keefe of Reading and his grandsons, Robert Paul Quigley of Malden and Craig Edward Carucci of Haverhill.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pauline L. Brewer, formerly of Malden
He was born December 7, 1940 in Malden, MA the son of the late Paul S. and Elizabeth L. (Ives) Brewer.
Private Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Cremation will be in the Woodlawn Crematory in Everett.

Linda Jane Brisson
Linda Jane Brisson, 54, died Thursday, April 18, 2002 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA after a brief illness. Linda was born and educated in Malden and after completing high school she went to work for Mass Stat of Wakefield as a computer operator. She then became a supervisor for Cross Country Motor Club of Medford. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church of Malden where she had previously worked as a volunteer in the rectory office. Miss Brisson was a life long resident of Malden, MA
She is survived by her cousins Kristine M. Gould of Bradford, Ronald B. & Darlene Luke of Malden, and Mary Doyle of Malden and many other cousins. She was also the Godmother of Patricia Doyle-Starr of Malden.
She was preceded in death by her father Ronaldo A. Brisson, and her mother Mary (Mac Kenzie) Brisson.
She was born March 12, 1948 in Malden, MA. the daughter of the late Ronaldo A. and Mary (Mac Kenzie) Brisson.

Irene Frances Brown
Irene F. (Pavluk) Brown of Saugus, MA, died suddenly at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, she was 85. Born on May 28, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Ditkowska) Pavluk. Irene grew up in Woburn and was a graduate of Woburn High School with the Class of 1937. She married her sweetheart John J. Brown shortly after her completion of high school and the couple settled in Malden. They spent many years together until John’s passing in 1985. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, she worked as a receptionist for the Elizabeth Arden Co. in Boston. Later on, Irene worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Sanchez, DDS in East Boston. She was an avid reader and was constantly following current world events on the radio. Irene lived in Saugus for the past 10 years and was previously from Malden and Woburn.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly and her husband, Carmine Caporale of Saugus, her granddaughter, Tanya Pellecchia of Lynn, her daughter-in-law, Pamela Brown of Wrentham, her sister, Elizabeth Iannacci of Stoneham, and her very close niece and nephew, Marcia Ledbury of FL and Peter Rudenko of Boxboro as well as many other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son John J. Brown, Jr., her brother George Rudenko, and her sister Anna Palmer.

Myron Allen Bruce
Myron Allen Bruce, 72, a retired postal carrier for Malden Post Office, where he worked for 25 years, died Thursday, September 20 at Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett. Myron was born in Medford, and raised and educated in Malden. Immediately after High School, he enlisted in the Army, and served during WWII, as well as in the Korean Conflict. Upon returning from military duty, he started to work for the Malden Post Office. He began as a Temp., but soon became a full time Mail Carrier in Malden. He worked there for about 15 years, before taking a leave of absence. He returned to the postal service and worked another 10 years at S. Postal in Boston. Later in life, after the death of his wife Pauline, he worked part time for Woodlawn Cemetery.
He is survived by his sisters Ruth LeDrew of Saugus and Louise MacDonald of Melrose, and, brother Robert Bruce of Stoneham, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Pauline, his father Myron Bruce Sr., and his mother Marie Heughlin.

Richard Augustine Brunco Sr.
Richard A. Brunco Sr., 69, died Saturday morning, April 30, 2005 at his home in Malden. Richard was born and educated in East Boston. After his schooling Richard starting working for General Dynamics Ship Builders in Quincy, as a pipe fitter and later as the shop steward with Local # 5, he worked there for thirty years until its closing in 1985. Richard was a twenty year member of the Fore River Long Service Club of Rockland.
He married Catherine M. Sheehan on June 25, 1960 in the Immaculate Conception Church, Malden and the couple moved to Somerville and later settled in Malden, were they raised their three children and resided for the next forty-one years. Richard worked as the parking lot Supervisor for the Wonderland Race Track for twenty years until his illness. He was an avid Boston sports fan.
He is survived by his wife Catherine M. Brunco, his daughter, MaryE. Brunco of N. Reading, his son’s Richard A. Brunco Jr. of Marstons Mills and Christopher Brunco of Centerville, his sister’s Gloria Black of Swampscott, Thelma Montouri of Lynn. His cherished grandchildren, Marc Brunco, Josef Brunco, Benjamin Brunco and his granddaughter Jennifer Brunco.
He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Brunco, his mother Esther Rivers, his brother Anthony Brunco, his brother William Brunco, his sister Angelina Berg, his sister Dorothy Francis, his sister Violet Brunco, and his brother Joseph Brunco.

Dorothy D. Buchanan
Dorothy D. Buchanan, 97, a housewife and mother, died Tuesday, March 2nd at the Courtyard Nursing Care Center in Medford. Dorothy was born and raised in Springfield, MA, and graduated from Springfield High Shcool. After high school, she continued her education by learning the craft of typesetting. Once marrying her sweetheart Frank E. Buchanan, she became primarily a housewife and mother. She was a longtime active member of the First Baptist Church of Malden. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star, a member of Rebecca's Lodge, and a member of the Grange. She loved arts and crafts, and would often work at the Church with senior citizens creating crafts.
She is survived by her sons Frank E. Buchanan Jr. of Virginia, William H. Buchanan of NY, her daughter Beverly N. Sandberg of Melrose, as well as 18 grandchildren, 27 greatgrandchildren, and 9 great-greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank E.,and her parents, Charles J. and Jenna C. (Little) Dix, and her brother Charles J. Dix Jr. of VT.

Victor Emmanuel Buonopane
Victor Emmanuel Buonopane, 91, a retired caulker & chipper for Charlestown Navy Yard, where he worked for many years, died suddenly Sunday morning, November 18, 2001 at Mass General Hospital in Boston, MAMr. Buonopane had lived in Malden, for the past 42 years and was previously from Jamaica Plain section of Boston.
Victor was an avid sportsman and a auto and motorcycle enthusiast. Victor loved to ride motorcycles and owned a few in his days. He also loved to watch a good football game. Victor and Daisy were married in 1959, in the Medford Congregational Church and have shared 41 years together.
He is survived by his wife, Daisy M. Emeneau of Malden, his sisters Evelyn Fisher of Everett, Anna Glennon of Jamaica Plain, Alice Cogliano ofNH, Louise Bacon of Cape Cod. Victor was also survived by many nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister Josephine Lane, his brothers Arthur Buonpane, George Buonopane and Lenny Buonopane.
He was born November 25, 1909 in Boston, MA the son of late Anthony and Mary (Todisco) Buonopane.

Willis R. “Ray” Burk
Willis Raymond Burk, 88, died Friday, January 28, 2005 at the Pilgrim Rehabilitation Center in Peabody, Massachusetts. Ray was born May 7,1916 in East Boston to the late William and Sophia (Simons) Burk. He is the last of their fifteen children.
After a period of time working at the General Electric Foundry, Ray went to work for the Jet Engine Division of General Electric in Lynn and Everett as a sheet metal worker. He retired in 1981 after forty years in that position. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Malden. He lived in Malden for the past forty-nine years. Ray was a devoted family man and enjoyed traveling with his wife.
He is survived by his wife Virginia F. (McDowell) Burk of Malden, hi sons, William R. Burk of Arizona, Robert L. Burk of Wakefield, David R. Burk of Burlington, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Eugene Milton “Gene” Burnett, 91, died Saturday, December 20, 2003 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford, MA after a brief illness. Gene was born and educated in Malden. When he completed high school he became a milkman for H.P. Hood Co of Malden delivering milk to local homes after which he became a estimator for Redemix Concrete Co. of Wilmington. He then became the custodian for the Malden Public Library where he was employed for over twenty years until his retirement in 1987. He also worked at the Malden Jewelry and Kay Jewelry as a salesman and during WWII was an Auxiliary Police Officer for the City of Malden. He was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Malden, Malden Chapter #105 Knight’s of Columbus the Mass Audubon Society of Topsfield and a member of the Breakfast Club of the Day Break Cafe of Topsfield. Mr. Burnett was a life long resident of Malden.
He is survived by his son, Richard W. and his wife Barbara Burnett of CA, his daughter Barbara J. and her husband Kenneth Daugherty of Malden, his son, Bruce and his wife Cathi Burnett of Andover, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren

Warehouse in Somerville for seven years and later she worked for the Novelty Co in Malden for six years. Mrs. Burns was educated in Malden school systems and had lived in Malden for the last 78 years. Mabel and her husband Charles were married on June 18, 1942 in Revere, MA. Mabel loved to walk to Malden Square with her dear friend, the late Ruth DeFazio who passed away in November of 2002. She loved to play the lottery game every day.
She is survived by her sister Elizabeth Durgin of Malden, her nephews Daniel Durgin of Waltham, David Durgin of Medford, Dale Blake, Edward Blake and her niece Jane Blake of Malden her grandnieces Jennifer Blake, Catherine Blake, Patricia Blake and her grandnephew Richard Blake.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Burns , her father Leroy Burns and her mother Beatrice (Phelps) Blake, her brothers Leroy Blake, George Blake, Raymond Blake, and her nephew Alfred Blake.

William Wallace Burns
William Wallace Burns, 88, a retired punch press operator for Market Forge, where he worked for 21 years, died Monday, February 18, 2002 at Sunbridge of Wilmington in Wilmington, Massachusetts. He was born April 02, 1913 in Malden, the son of John and Barbara (Clark) Burns. William was raised and educated in Malden, attending the Malden school system. He left school a year early to help sustain his family during the depression.In the early 30's, he enlisted in the Civilian Conservation Corps. He assisted in the construction of trails and cabins throughout NH and Vermont during his two tours with the corps, serving with Company 131 in East Burke, VT and with Company 101 in North Woodstock, NH.Mr. Burns lived in Malden for almost his entire life, and had only recently moved to Wilmington
In 1951, he married his wife Vera L. ( Gott ) with whom he shared the next 37 years. During that time, he worked for both National Radial, and General Electric, before moving to Market Forge in Everett. After his retirement, to keep himself busy, he worked for Cerretani's in Melrose.
He was a past member of the French Club in Malden, and an avid Red Sox fan.
He is the last of 7 Children, preceded in death by siblings Grace Curran, David Burns, Walter Burns, and Step Siblings Robert Burns, John Burns, and Ruth Burns.
He is survived by his son, William W. Burns Jr. of Melrose, son, Robert B. Burns of Tewksbury, and daughter Barbara E. Neagle of Farmington, ME. He is also survived by 5 Grandchildren, Candice, George III, & Shane Neagle of Maine, and Robert Jr. & Michael Burns of Tewsbury.

Vincenzo “Jimmy” Buscanera
Vincenzo Buscanera, 82, a shipper, died Saturday, November 24, 2001 at the Annemark Nursing Home in North Revere, MA. Jimmy was born and educated in Boston and after graduating high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army during WW II serving with Battery D of the Harbor Defense of Boston. When he was discharged he went to work for a division of Warner Lambert of Chelsea which made Cool Ray Sunglasses and was their head shipper for over twenty years retiring in 1980. Jimmy had been a resident of East Boston most of his life until moving to Malden twenty-one years ago.
He is survived by his daughters, Linda R. Pellecchia of Malden, and Janet R. Hunter of Winthrop, his brother Frank Buscanera of E. Boston, his sister, Mary De Leo of Somerville and two grandsons Robert and Jason Pellecchia.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jennie (Falzone) Buscanera and his brother Michael Buscanera.
He was born December 29, 1918 in Boston, Massachusetts the son of the late Gregorio and Calogera (Indelicato) Buscanera.
He served in the Army during World War II having attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. Enlisting on November 19, 1939 at Boston, MA discharged on November 24, 1945 at Camp Edwards, MA

Phyllis Marion Bushway
Phyllis Marion Bushway, 76, a longtime resident of Malden, died Thursday, December 2, 2004 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford, MA. Phyllis was born in Somerville in 1928, and at an early age she moved to Malden where she was raised and educated. She graduated from Malden High School with the class of 1946. Soon after high school, Phyillis took employment with the Schraffs Candy Co. in Charlestown. In 1951, she married her sweetheart, Stanley Bushway, and the two would share many years together until his passing in 1995. In the early 80’s, she began what she found to be her most rewarding employment, as a substitute teacher for the City of Malden. She worked for Malden until her retirement in 1996. She was a past member of the Malden Ski Club, enjoyed spending her summers in Bridgton, Maine. She also enjoyed taking car rides, cruises, and dancing.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah L. Bushway of Medford, and one grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Bushway, her parents, Cecil C. and Hazel (Gurney) Adams, and her son, Richard Bushway.

Minnie Etta (Woodbury) Butler, 99, died Wednesday, January 02, 2002 at her home in Londonderry, NH. Minnie was born and raised in Torbrook, Nova Scotia. After completing her education, she moved to Malden, where she met her husband, Albert J. Butler.She left the Malden area after her husband's death in 1958, she moved to Danvers and Littleton, and then Westford. This past year she spent in Londonderry, NH.
Minnie was quite fond of card games, including solitaire. She also was an active participant in the churches she attended, always willing to knit for their fairs and participated in their social events.
She is survived by her son Edward Butler of Andover, her daughter in law Bernedette Butler of Londonderry, NH, and her brother George Woodbury of Windham, ME. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great great granddaughters, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Albert, her parents, Frank and Bertha (Spoddard) Woodbury, and her son Albert Butler.

Muriel Butt, 79, died Monday, May 17, 2004 at the Sunbridge Care & Rehab Colonial Heights, Lawrence, MA.Miss Butt lived in Lawrence, MA for twenty-five years and was previously from Malden.

Richard Paul Byrne
Richard Paul Byrne, 71, longtime resident of Malden, died Saturday, June 19, 2004 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. Richard was born and raised in Melrose. After high school, he enlisted in the US Air Force where he served from 1951 to 1955, and was transferred to the Air Force Reserve at that time in order to be home for Christmas. discharge. He has been a resident of Malden since 1970. He was a long time member and 6 term President of the 557 Club, he was also an active member of the DAV in Malden and in Florida.

James Edward Casey, Sr.
James Edward Casey, 70, died suddenly, Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at the Noble Hospital in Westfield, MA after being stricken with a heart attack at his home in Westfield. Jim was born and educated in Boston and when he completed high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army serving with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers in Germany during the Korean Conflict. When he was discharged he resided in Malden with his family until moving to Everett in 1968 where he resided until moving to Westfield eight years ago. He was employed as a printer for Daniel's Printing Co. of Everett and Ames Safety Envelope Co. of Somerville for over twenty-five years until his retirement in 1994. It was then that he moved to Westfield where he opened Mighty Casey's Sports Card Shop, which sold all types of sports memorabilia. Jim was a very active member of the Malden Chapter # 1910 Loyal Order of the Moose. He enrolled in the Malden Moose in 1960, a Legionnaire in 1962, Fellowship in 1967 and a Pilgrim Brother in 1980 which is the highest Order given by the Loyal Order of Moose. He served as Governor of the Malden Lodge for two terms one from 1970-1971 and again from 1983- 1984. He was also a member of the Ritual Team for which he received National awards for his work. Mr. Casey lived in Westfield, MA. for the past eight years and was previously from Everett and Malden.
He is survived by his wife Mabel (Callahan) Casey of Malden, his very dear friend Ann Reed of Westfield, his mother Christina E. (Becker) Casey of Everett, his sons, James E. Casey, Jr. of Everett, William J. Casey, Sr. of Everett, Patrick M. Casey of Melrose, Edward J. Casey of Lynn, his daughter, Deborah A. Casey of Melrose, his brother, Edward J. Casey of Malden and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father , John Casey formerly of Everett and his brother John Casey formerly of Braintree.
He was born November 22, 1931 in Boston, MA the son Christina (Becker) Casey of Everett and the late John Casey and. He served in the Army during Korean Conflict having attained the rank of Sgt. enlisted on March 26, 1951 at Boston, MA discharged on March 5, 1954 at Ft. Devens, MA
Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Monday, April 1st from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM
Contributions in Jim’s memory may be made to the Shriners Burns Hospital, 51 Blossom St. Boston, MA 02114.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 2, 2002 at 9:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem St., Malden with the Rev. John A. Daley, Pastor of St. Joseph's Church officiating. Burial will be in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
