Edith Ivery
Edith Ivery (Goodman), 63, of Everett, formerly of Malden, died Friday, December 10, 2004 at Mass General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Edith was born in Boston, one of nine children. She graduated from Brighton High School with the class of 1956. In 1958, she married her sweetheart Willie J. Ivery, and the two would settle in Malden raising their family.
Edith began working as a switchboard operator for what was then the Bell Telephone Company, working with the old PBX boards. She later worked as an operator for a private firm, until her retirement in the mid 90's. She was an active supporter of the the VFW, but in life was a private person who enjoyed her quiet time. Edith has lived in Everett for the past four years.
She is survived by her son Nicholas M. Ivery of Everett, her daughter Michelle C. Ivery of Dorchester, her daughter Cynthia Ivery of S.C., her son Christopher J. Ivery of CA, her sisters, Rosalind L. Wilson of NC, Gloria Wing of Framingham, Phyllis Goodman of Boston, Molly Murray of Brockton, MA, and Bernice Penn of NC, her brother Murray Goodman of AZ, and her grandson Nicholas M. Jr.
She was preceded in death by her husband Willie, her father Irwin Goodwin, her mother Mary Levine, and her Arleen and Annette Goodman.
She was born September 06, 1941 in Boston, Massachusetts the daughter of Irwin and Mary (Levine) Goodwin.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 14, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in 175 Broadway, Malden.

Helen Irene Jakobsen
Helen I. (Torgersen) Jakobsen, 87, died Thursday evening, April 7, 2005 at Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading. Helen was born and educated in Malden, graduating with the Class of 1936. After high school Helen was employed with the Merchants National Bank in Boston as a bookkeeper for thirteen years. She would meet and later marry her sweet heart, Jon Jakobsen in 1945. The couple settled in Malden and raised their three daughters. Helen was a longtime active member of the Christ United Methodist Church and past president of the Women’s Group. She had a love for sewing, baking breads and was a good cook. This talent involved her in the buying and preparation for church suppers and other church socials. Helen was always actively involved with the church fund raising events. Mrs. Jakobsen had been a resident of Malden for over seventy-five years and had lived in Stoneham, for the last twelve years.
She is survived by her husband Jon Jakobsen, her three daughters, Irene H. Maggio and husband Peter of Methuen, Janice K. Ronzio and husband Peter of Medford and Nancy J. Hanson and husband Paul of Melrose, her brother Norman Torgersen of NC and her sister Mildred Christie of Lynn. She was the cherished grandmother of Matthew and Nicholas Maggio, Jonathan Ronzio, Christie Ronzio, Erika Hanson, Kyle Hanson, Karina Hanson.
She was preceded in death by her father Alex Torgersen, and her mother Astrid Jensen.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden, on Sunday, April 10th. from 4-8 PM

Urmah Ruth Jamerson
Urmah Ruth Jamerson, 81, of Malden, formerly of Everett, died Thursday, December 23, 2004 at Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett, Massachusetts. Urmah was born in Revere, and had moved to Everett by the age of 16. She graduated from Everett H.S. with the class of 1941. In 1943, she married her husband James R. Jamerson, while he was stationed in Boston during WWII. The two settled in Everett, and raised their childen in the very home that Urmah was raised in.
After the children had grown, Urmah took employment with the J. Lester McLaughlin Plumbing Co, as a means to keep herself busy. She worked as a secretary in their Everett office for about ten years until her retirement.
Urmah was an active member of the Centre United Methodist Church in Malden, and was a member of Robinsons Circle, the women’s guild within the church. She was a loving dedicted mother and grandmother to her children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren. Mrs. Jamerson lived in Malden, Massachusetts for 1 1/2 year and was previously from Everett.
She is survived by her huusband, James R. Jamerson of Malden, MA, her daughters, Charlene Allen of Ohio, and Jean M. Oxford of Melrose, her sons, James R. Jamerson Jr. of Wilmington, William C. Jamerson of Indiana, John C. Jamerson of Wilmington, Thomas P. Jamerson of Georgetown, her brothers Charles Murray of Royalston, and Richard Murray of Niagra Falls, NY, as well 15 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary (Lavery) Murray, and her brother Robert Murray.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden. Rev. Ruth R. Oduor of Christ United Methodist Church of Malden will be officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Visitation will be held at funeral home on Tuesday from 9:00 - 10-:00 AM.

Anne M. Jewell
Anne M. Jewell, 96, died Sunday, October 30, 2005 at Kindred Hospital, Peabody, after a long illness. Mrs. Jewell was the daughter of the late Harry & Kathleen (Powers) Ball.
Mrs. Jewell was born in Middletown, CT and came to Malden at an early age. She was a graduate of the Cheverus School and after completing her education she worked at different retail shops in the area later working for The Thomas Long Jewelers in Boston for twenty-five years as a buyer, later retiring in 1974. She was involved with the Ladies Aid of Malden, YWCA of Malden and the Old New Glass Class of Malden. She was longtime member of the Forestdale Community Church. Her passion was her love for her grandchildren & great-grandchildren and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.
She is survived by her daughter Barbara E. Brown and her husband Francis K. Brown of Malden, grandmother of Karen A. Brown of Lynn, Dana F. Brown and his wife Marie of Malden, Janice E. Milley and her husband Steven of Sudbury, Barbara J. MacQuarrie and her husband Stephen of NY, Francis K. Brown II and his wife Theresa of Malden., great-grandmother of Steven, Scott, Ashley Milley, Dana-Marie and Jacqueline Brown, Francis Brown III, Andrew, Robert, Leah Brown, Meghan, Daniel and Joseph MacQuarrie and many nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dana L."Lockie" Jewell, her father Harry Ball, her mother Kathleen (Powers) Ball, her sister’s Gladys Derba, and Harriet Ross.
Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden on Wednesday, Nov. 2nd from 4-8 PM.

Dorothy Priscilla Jewell
Dorothy " Dot" Jewell, 92, died Sunday, June 6, 2004 at Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett, MA. Dorothy was born and educated in Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School Class of 1929. She continued her education at Burdett College taking business courses and later worked as a bookkeeper and payroll agent for a Boston firm. She later married and moved to Melrose with her family. Dot worked as a nurses aid for the former Malden Nursing Home, on Clifton St., Malden for many years and retired in 1976. Dot moved to the Heritage House in Malden and was a resident for twenty-eight years.
She was an active resident that loved to attend different coffee hours, shows and holiday dinners and function at the Heritage. She was a very independent women and was well liked at the complex. She loved crocheting, reading and watching old movies. Dot was fond of Elvis Presley and his spiritual music.
She is survived by her daughters, Dolores D. McAuliffe of Malden and Donna M. Martell of Manchester, NH and her sons, Robert W. Jewell of Malden and Richard C. Jewell of St. Johnsbury, VT. She was the cherished grandmother of twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father Albert Clisbee, her mother Effie Shute, and her brother Calvin W. Clisbee.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden, on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9.

David Paul Johns
David Paul Johns, 52, a retired technician for New England Telephone, Co., where he worked for 32 years, died Wednesday, April 11, 2001 at his home in Saugus, MA He was born and educated in Malden graduating from Malden High School. He then went to work for the New England Telephone as a technician and was employed there for 32 years until his retirement five years ago. He then went to work for the Bellevue Country Club of Melrose as a maintenance technician and was still employed there at the time of his death. He was a member of the New England Telephone Pioneer's Club and Parent's Without Partners of Billerica. and was an avid dancer. Mr. Johns lived in Saugus, MA for 5 Years and was previously from Melrose.
He is survived by his daughter Lauren S. Johns of Melrose, and his mother Harriet B. Johns-Talbot of Malden and his sister Geraldine Rooney-Vance Loudon, NH.
He was preceded in death by his late father Curtis Johns, his brothers Curtis "Woody" Johns, and Russell W. Johns.
He was born September 11, 1948 in Brookline, MA the son of Curtis and Harriet (Fowler) Johns-Talbot.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home 144 Salem St., Malden on Monday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at 11:00 A.M. at the Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home with the Rev. Martha A. Dominy of First Baptist Church, will be officiating. Burial will be in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.

Agnes L. Johnson
Agnes L. (Blanchard) Johnson, 70, died Monday, June 28, 2004 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, Melrose, MA after a long illness. Mrs. Johnson had been a resident of Malden for the last sixteen years and was previously from Medford and South Boston. Agnes was born and educated in Boston and after completing her education, she later married Richard B. Johnson Sr. in July of 1952. She worked for the Bristol Linen of Boston for over twenty years and when she moved to Malden she worked for A.R.L. Company for six years. Agnes loved playing bingo at the different halls in the Malden area and also loved her trips to Foxwoods and Atlantic City with her husband. She spend her spare time crocheting and caring for her dog Sabrina that she loved dearly.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda M. Csiti, and her husband John of Hooksett, NH Cheryl L. Johnson-Ellen, and her husband Dwayne of Haverhill, her son, Richard B. Johnson Jr. of Malden and her sisters, Marie Connell of Randolph, Irene Guirdara of Beverly, her thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard B. Johnson Sr., her father Adolph Blanchard, and her mother Alice L. Southworth and her brother Julius Pierson.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 1st. from 4-8 PM.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 2, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. in the Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. Malden. Fr. Richard Bakker of St. Josephs Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.

Elin Dorothea Johnson
Elin Dorothea (Friberg)Johnson, 98, died suddenly, Sunday, January 27, 2002 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA Elin was born in Goteborg, Sweden and came to the United States at the age of nine with her family. Her parents settled in Malden where she was educated and has resided for the past eighty nine years. Elin was a devoted homemaker and she was the oldest living member of the Christ United Methodist Church of Malden and a member of the United Methodist Women's Club. She was also an active gardener, seamstress and knitter and enjoyed reading. Mrs. Johnson lived in Malden, MA for 89 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Claire B. Chalmers of Malden, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur E. Johnson of Malden and her son Arthur Johnson, Jr. of Stoneham and is the last of seven siblings.
She was born March 11, 1903 in Goteborg, Sweden the daughter of the late Robert and Klara (Nilsson) Friberg.

Ethel Viola Johnson
Ethel Viola (Jensen) Johnson, 79, a retired head cashier for Sears Roebuck & Co., Department Store in Saugus, MA died, Tuesday April 10, 2001 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA. Mrs. Johnson was a life long resident of Malden and a graduate of Malden High School Class of 1940.
Ethel retired from Sears on August 7, 1992 after 31 years of service. Mrs. Johnson was a life long member of the Christ United Methodist Church, in Malden. Ethel loved to sing and many years ago was the choir teacher at the church were she taught many students to sing. Ethel's home was her life, she loved to work in her flower garden in her front yard and sit on her porch and talk to neighbors. She was known to ruled the street and was considered by her neighbors to be the Mayor of Fairview Ave. directing people as to what to do and where to park. She loved summer cookouts at Bob and Kathie's home in Burlington.
She is survived by her son's Edward P. Johnson & his wife, Diane of AZ, Robert D. Johnson & his wife Kathleen of Burlington, MA. Her brother, Walter Jensen of Sparta, NJ Also survived by 8 grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Johnson, who died in October of 1985, her father Axel R. Jensen, and her mother Anna S. Falkingren.
She was born April 1, 1922 in Malden, MA the daughter of late Axel and Anna (Falkingren) Jensen

Frank B. “Swede” Johnson
Frank B. “Swede” Johnson Jr., 77, a longtime resident of Malden who had recently moved to Nashua, NH, passed away Monday, after a valiant battle with cancer, November 21, 2005 at Community Hospice House in Merrimack, New Hampshire. Frank was born in Melrose and then raised in Malden. Like many of his time, he left High School early to help fight in WWII. He served in the Coast Guard during World War II having attained the rank of Radarman 3rd Class. He enlisted on October 9, 1945 in Atlantic City, NJ, and discharged on March 17, 1948 at Boston, MA. He was recently awarded his high school diploma by the city in recognition of his sacrifice. He returned to Malden after his discharge in 1948, and began his career as a machinist at Lawson Machine & Tool on Mountain Avenue in Malden. In 1955, he married his sweetheart, Dawn E. Hibbard, and the two shared over 50 years together raising their family. Frank worked at Lawson until its closing, and then worked for Kytron Circuits in Wakefield until his retirement it the early 1980's.
Frank was also an umpire for ASA Softball for many years. He was an avid bowler where he served as the secretary of his bowling league. Frank also enjoyed working around his yard, and was quite proud of his garden.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn E. (Hibbard) Johnson, his children, Glenn Johnson and wife Marsha of Holbrook, Priscilla Cruikshank and husband John of Malden, Elaine Fitzpatrick and husband James of Marshfield, Kenneth Johnson and wife Sue Ann of Litchfield, NH, and Audrey Trickett and husband Chris of Auburn, NH., as well as 15 grandchildren, Andrew, Robert, Kristen Johnson, Colin, Trevor, John and Kimberly Cruikshank, Anne and Erin Fitzpatrick, Jeremy, Jared, and Justin Johnson, and Leah, Benjamin, and Jessica Trickett.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank B. Sr. and Ellen (Pearson) Johnson.
Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, on Wednesday, Nov. 23, from 4-8 PM.
Funeral Services will be private.

Margaret Johnson
Margaret Johnson, 84, died Wednesday evening, March 17, 2004 at the New England Medical Center in Boston after a long illness. Mrs. Johnson had lived in Everett for the last sixty years and was previously from East Boston. Margaret worked as department manager with the Sears & Roebucks Store in Saugus for many years and in later years she cared for her grandchildren and other family members. She loved cooking and caring for her entire family and cherished playing cards and games with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Margaret was married to James F. Johnson and the couple spent forty-eight years together until his passing in March of 1990.
She is survived by her daughter Carol E. Costa of Everett, her sister, Marion Amato of Malden, her grandchildren, Kelly Costa of Everett, Denise Iacoviello of Lynnfield, Mark & Brian Johnson both of NH, and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband James F. Johnson, her father John Misiano, her mother Mary Barbanti, her son, James P. Johnson, her brothers Anthony & Dominic Misiano, her sister, Josie Venuto.
She was born August 13, 1919 in Boston, MA the daughter of the late John and Mary (Barbanti) Misiano.
Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. Malden, on Sunday from 4-7PM.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 487 Broadway, Everett, on Monday, March 22nd at 10AM. Fr. Gerald Osterman will be the celebrant. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.

Mary Cunningham Johnson
Mary Cunningham Johnson, 89, died Saturday, June 9, 2001 at the Harborside Healthcare Northshore in Saugus, MA. Mary was born in Boston and educated in Somerville schools graduating from Somerville High School with the Class of 1928. When her mother passed away in 1930, when she was only nineteen, she took over raising her three siblings. In 1941 she went to work for the John Hancock Insurance Co. in Boston as a Group Underwriter and was employed there for thirty-one years retiring in 1973. She was a long time active member of the Christ United Methodist Church of Malden serving on various boards and committees. She was also a member of the Quarter Century Club of the John Hancock Insurance Co. Mrs. Johnson had lived in Malden for over sixty-eight years prior to moving to Harborside in Saugus, MA in 1998.
She is survived by her step-daughter, Doris M. Keer of Malden and her sister, Jean C. Moore of Saugus.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry W. Johnson of Malden, her brother William M. Ireland, Jr. who was killed in WW II US Army, and her sister Isabelle C. Martin of PA.
She was born October 13, 1911 in Boston, MA the daughter of the late William M. and Catherine (Cunningham) Ireland, Sr.

Charles Melvin Johnston
Charles Melvin Johnston, 88, died Monday, October 6, 2003 at the Franklin Regional Hospital in Franklin, NH. Charles was born and educated in Haverhill, MA. When he completed school he was drafted into the U.S. Army during W.W. II serving in the European Theatre. When he was discharged he married and settled in Malden. He was employed as a truck driver for Teamsters Local # 25 driving for National Cylinder retiring in 1977. Mr. Johnston lived in Pembroke, New Hampshire for the past twenty-two years was previously from Malden, MA where he had resided for thirty-two years. Charles was a life member of the VFW Post #28, in Suncook NH.
He is survived by sons; Richard F. Johnston of NH, Ronald S. Johnston of NH, Thomas C. Johnston of Saugus, his daughters; Arlene Mc Kinnon of Salem, Mildred V. Johnston of Malden, his brother, Raymond Johnston of FL, his sisters; Florence Joyal of AZ, Dorothy Flemming of NH and ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Julia, Ann (Haddad) Johnston.
He was born January 15, 1915 in Haverhill, Massachusetts the son of the late Charles and Mildred (Johnson) Johnston.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, MA on Wednesday from 4-8 PM.

Alice M. "Dolly" Jones
Alice M. Jones, a housewife and mother, died Friday, March 05, 2004 at New England Medical Center in Boston. Alice was born in Chelsea, and at an early age she moved to Malden where she was raised and educated. After completing high school, she married her sweetheart, Edward H. Jones, and the two would share almost 50 years together until his passing in 1999. She was an avid shopper but her greatest passion was her family.
She is survived by her daughters Linda Biancuccci and her husband Billy of Malden, Jacqueline Jones of Malden, her son Edward Jones, Jr. and his wife Linda J. of Malden, and Barbara Ventola of Malden who was like a daughter, her mother Dorothy ( MacNeil) Richardson of Malden, her brother Frederick Richardson Jr. of Middleton, her sister Dorothy "Chickie" Deering of FL, and she was grandmother of Kristine, Jaimie, Courtney, Amanda, and Christopher, and great grandmother of Anamarie and Kayla.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward H. Jones Sr., and her father Frederick Richardson Sr.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Monday from 6-9 PM.

Gerard Edward Jones
Gerard E. “Jerry” Jones, 62, died Monday, January 10th., 2004, after a long illness in Melrose -Wakefield Hospital, Melrose, MA Jerry was born in Boston and was raised and educated in Milton. He attended St. Agatha’s School and St. Sebastian High School and went on to college at St. Anslems College in New Hampshire.
He joined the U.S. Air Force and completed his training at the Amarillo Air Force Base, in Texas and served the next six years in the U.S. Air Force National Guard. Jerry worked the next thirty years for the John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Co., in Boston as an pension analyst, later retiring in 1999. Jerry and his wife Mary Jane later took a trip to Ireland for their 35th. wedding anniversary, a trip they both enjoyed. Jerry was formerly from Milton and resided in Malden for over twenty years and in Saugus for the past sixteen years. The couple married on October 16, 1965 in St. Agatha’s Church in Milton and spent thirty-nine years together.
Jerry was an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed following the Bruins, Red Sox, and the Boston College teams. He also loved watching his own three sons playing hockey, baseball and football as they grew up. He was a longtime member of the American Legion Post # 69 Malden as well as a Past Commander for the 1998, 2001, 2004 terms.
He is survived by his wife Mary Jane Jones, his sons Brian M. Jones and wife Shelia of Salem, NH, Matthew G. Jones and wife Jennifer of Saugus, Christopher R. Jones and wife Pamela of Saugus, his brothers John Jones of Milton, William Jones of Braintree, Richard Jones of Brockton, Robert Jones of Weymouth, Christopher Jones of Abington, and his sister Mary Landberg of Wells, ME. His cherished grandchildren Devin Jones, Lia Jones, Michael Jones, Christopher Jones and Kyra Jones, and his niece Amy Gallagher of Saugus.
He was preceded in death by his father Gerard Jones, and his mother Mary Sullivan.
He was born August 12, 1942 in Boston, MA the son of the late Gerard V. and Mary B. (Sullivan) Jones.
Visitation will be held at Weir - Mac Cuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. Malden, on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9.

Funeral from the Weir-Mac Cuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden, on Friday January 14th. at 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church, 770 Salem St., Malden at 11:30 AM. Fr. Richard Bakker of St. Josephs Church will be the celebrant. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.

Steven M. Jones
Steven M. Jones, a longtime resident of Malden, passed away Tuesday, at the Beverly Hospital, he was 36. Steven was born in Lynn, and raised in Malden. Steven was a carpenter who worked both independently and with the Superior Aluminum & Gutter Company. He was a dedicated worker until an accident left physically disabled.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy M. (O'Brien) Jones of Malden, his brother Eric V. and his wife Karen A. Jones of Everett, his sister Kimberly E. and her husband Ronald Tobey Sr. of Saugus, his aunts of Ann Davis and Brenda Adkins, both of NC, and Jean O'Brien of CA, his nieces, Caitlyn Jones and Aja Toby, and his nephews, Cody Jones and Ronald Toby Jr.
Steven was preceded in death by his father, Dewey V. Jones, and his grandparents, William & Lillian Jones, and Dewey and Agnes Jones.
Funeral Services will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, on Friday, at 11 AM, with interment following in Forest Dale Cemetery
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, from 5 - 8 PM.

Gertrude Albertina Jonsson
Gertrude A. (Youngdale) Jonsson, 91, a deburrer for Lawson Tool & Manufacturing Co. formerly of Malden, where she had worked for 8 years, died Thursday, October 19, 2000 at Wentworth Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, in Lowell, MA
Gertrude was born in Salem, MA and raised and educated in Melrose. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Malden, and was active in the Woman's Guild there. Her favorite pastime was knitting. Mrs. Jonsson had been a resident of Malden since 1940.
She is survived by Harry E. Jonsson (Son), Grace Brandt (Sister), 3 Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harry E. Jonsson, her father, Knute Youngdale, and her mother, Gertrude (Anderson), Herbert Youngdale (Brother).
She was born November 29, 1908 in Salem, MA.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home on Sunday October 22nd from 5-8 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at the funeral home at 11:30 A.M. Rev. Neil Halvorson-Taylor will be officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.

Arthur Allen Joy
Arthur Allen Joy, 77, a retired production manager for New England Metal Spinning of Malden, where he worked for 25 years, died Friday, September 22, 2000 at Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett, Massachusetts. Arthur was born and educated in Portsmouth NH. After high school, he enlisted in the merchant marines for 2 years. Upon his leaving the Merchant Marines, he immedialely enlisted in the Navy. He served for over 3 years and fought in WWII. After the war, he moved to the Boston area, eventually settling in Malden with his wife Dorothy. He remained in Malden for the next 42 years. He was an accomplished woodworker, and had an affection for animals, especially birds and cats, but truly the most important thing in his life was his family.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy, his son George A. Joy of Ft. Myers, FL,son Arthur A. Joy Jr. of Altamont Springs, FL, daughter Eunice M. Pimental of Malden, son, Robert C. Joy of Milford, NH, and daughter Susan V. Joy-Nowicki of Duxbury, MA. He is also survived by 11 Grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Haven L. Joy, and his mother, Bernice Ellison, and sister, Marion Cottrell.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 25, 2000 at 10:00 A.M. at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.

Dorothy Frances Joy
Dorothy F. (Leather) Joy died Friday, October 21, 2005 at the Harborside Healthcare Nursing Home in Milford, NH, she was 84. Born in Malden on July 20, 1921, she was the oldest of 7 children and the daughter of the late Edward and Ellen (Doherty) Leather. In 1944, she married her sweetheart, Arthur A. Joy, while he was on leave from the Navy during WWII. The two shared the next 56 years together until Arthur’s passing in 2000. Dorothy was an avid Red Sox fan and also enjoyed stitching but her children and grandchildren were the most important part of her life. Mrs. Joy had lived in Malden since 1957, but had lived in Milford, NH for the past 5 years. She was baptized and was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Malden
She is survived by her children, George A. Joy of Ft. Myers, FL, Arthur A. Joy, Jr. of Altamont Springs, FL, Eunice M. and her husband, Michael Newton of Malden, Robert C. Joy and his wife, Barbara of Milford, NH, and Susan Joy-Nowicki and her husband, Thomas of Duxbury, MA, her sisters, Eunice Murray of Malden and Ellen Magro of Woburn, and her cousin, Susan Mansfield of Melrose, as well as 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her brothers George Leather, Edward Leather, and Roger Leather and her sister Evelyn Smith.
Visitation will be held at the Weir~MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home 144 Salem St. Malden on Tuesday, October 25, 2005 from 8:30 to 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church 770 Salem St. Malden at 10 AM. Fr. William B. Minigan, Pastor of St. Joseph’s Church will be celebrating the Mass. Burial will be immediately follow in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.

Julaine Jules
Julaine Jules, 26, died suddenly, Sunday, September 19, 2004 in Cambridge, MA. Julaine was born in Cambridge. Her primary education was at St. John's School of Somerville and she graduated from St. Clements’s High School in Somerville. She then went on to Emmanuel College in Boston where she received her BA Degree in Communications. She and her family resided in the Allston, Brighton area until moving to Malden two and a half years ago. She was employed as a receptionist for Circle's of Boston a marketing and advertising company.
She is survived by her parents, Julce and Germaine (Pierre) Vincent of Malden her two brothers, Chener Vincent and Guerson Vincent of Malden and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was born June 21, 1978 in Cambridge, MA. the daughter of Julce and Germaine (Pierre) Vincent.
Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Friday Fri Oct 1st from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
Funeral from the funeral home, on Sat. Oct. 2nd at 8:15 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, 45 Alewife Brook Pkwy, Cambridge at 10:00 AM. Rev. George Roy of the Immaculate Conception Church Cambridge will be officiating. Interment to follow in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.

Frederick Francis Juliano
Frederick Francis Juliano, 75, a printer for NE Envelope in Boston, and Royal Printing in Maplewood Square, where he worked for years, died Wednesday, January 10, 2001 at Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett, Massachusetts.He was born May 05, 1925 in Charlestown, Massachusetts the son of Michael and Mary (Kratz) Juliano Fred was raised and educated in Charlestown. Shortly after high school, he was drafted into the Marines, where he fought in the Korean Conflict. He returned to Charlestown to be with his wife Kathleen.
In 1965, Fred moved to Malden, where he became a very active member of the community. He has been a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Chapter 1505, where he had reached the level of Pilgrim, and was the current Governor. He was also the Past President and Secretary for the Organization of Clubs. He was also a member of the Irish American, The VFW Post 639, The Italian American Citizens Club, and the American Legion. Fred was also on the Board of Directors for the Malden Housing Authority. He also volunteered for many years at the Malden Hospital.
He is survived by Daughters Kathleen T Juliano of E. Boston, Jean M. Hill of Chelsea, Donna M. Duncan of Everett, Debbie A. Scolaro of Malden, Laura J. Clough of Malden, and Gail E. Dorazio of Malden, Charles Roche of Hyde Park.
He was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen, his father Michael Juliano, and his mother Mary Kratz.
He served in the Marines during Korean Conflict having attained the rank of CPL. enlisted on January 16, 1948 at Boston, MA discharged on January 26, 1952 at San Diego, CA.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home on Friday from 4-9 PM.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 13, 2001 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Church. Rev. John A. Daley, Pastor of St. Joseph's Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
