Alice Jane Paige
Alice Jane (Harmon) Paige, 85, died Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose. Mrs. Paige was born and educated in Medford attending the Medford school system and was a graduate of Medford High School Class of 1939. Mrs. Paige had been a member of the Christian Science Church in Boston since 1955. Alice and her husband John were married at the Hillside Universalist Church in Medford on April 3, 1955 and settled in Medford were they resided for twenty-five years, later moving to Framingham for fifteen years and Malden for seven years. Alice and John were living at the Longwood Place in Reading for the last three years. Mrs. Paige was a file clerk for the Massachusetts Bonding & Insurance Co. located in Post Office Sq. section of downtown Boston for ten years later working for the Christian Science Center in the Back Bay of Boston for twenty-eight years later retiring in 1990. Alice was a member of the Resolute Rebekah Lodge of Cambridge and the Order of the Eastern Star of Saugus and Framingham. Mrs. Paige wrote to the confidential chat section of the Boston Globe, her pen name was Precious Memories & Wright's Ponds Daughter. During World War II Mrs. Paige was a member of the Civil Air Patrol on the Northshore of Massachusetts.
She is survived by her husband John M. Paige of Reading, her brothers Donald Harmon of Michigan, Kenneth Harmon of Lo Jolla, CA Roy Harmon of Newburyport and her sister Frances J. Wickoff of Quincy. She was the aunt of Shirley DiGiammarino of Malden, George Harmon of Melrose and Sandra Woodward of Dunedin, FL and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was born August 8, 1918 in Medford, MA the daughter of the late George H. and Isabelle (Wallace) Harmon.
Visitation has been omitted at the request of the family.
Contributions in Alice's memory may be made to the charity of ones choice.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 8th., at 11AM in the Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden.

George Samuel Palmer
George Samuel Palmer, 90, died Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at the Concord Health Care Center in Concord, MA. George was born on April 21, 1915, the son of the late Clinton and Mildred Palmer. He was educated in Malden and graduated from Malden High School with the Class of 1933. George married Ida M. Benson, his wife of 64 years, on November 12, 1937. George enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1943 during WW II and served as a Staff Sergeant until his discharge in 1946. When returned home to Malden, George went to work for the MBTA. In 1977, after 34 years of service he retired as a starter. George was a communicant of St. Paul's Episcopal Parish of Malden.
He is survived his daughters, Ruth A. Maloof of Concord, MA and Sandra M. Daum of Cortland, NY, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Ida M. (Benson) Palmer in January 2002.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Paul's Episcopal Parish, 26 Washington St. Malden on Friday, May 27th at 10 AM. Fr. John R. Clarke will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in the Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home 144 Salem St., MALDEN on Thursday, May 26th from 4 to 7 PM.
Contributions may be made in George's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 36 Cameron Ave. Cambridge, MA 02140.

Ida May Palmer
Ida May Palmer, 87, died Friday, January 25, 2002 at the Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA. Ida was born and educated in Malden and after completing school married and raised her children in Malden. She was married to her husband, George , for sixty four years and a life long resident of Malden. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Malden and the Ladies Guild of St. Paul's Church. Mrs. Palmer had also been employed at Transitron of Melrose as a assembler for a number of years.
She is survived by her husband George S. Palmer of Malden, her daughters, Ruth A. Maloof of Concord and Sandra M. Daum of NY, her, brother, Carl E. Benson of Malden, her sister, Evelyn Smith of Malden, her brother William Benson of Malden five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. .
She was preceded in death by her father Carl Benson, her mother Ida (Prescott)Benson and her sister Helen Davidson.
She was born July 17, 1914 in Malden, Massachusetts the daughter of the late Carl and Ida (Prescott) Benson.

Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Monday, January 28th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 26 Washington Street, Malden with the Rev. J.C. Woods Rector of St. Paul's Church officiating. Cremation will follow at Woodlawn Crematory in Everett.

George Arthur Paris
George Arthur Paris, 91, a treasurer for Bakery and Confectionary International, where he worked for years, died Thursday, September 12th, at the Dexter House Nursing Home in Malden, Massachusetts. George was born in Cambridge. He was educated in St. Rose's School in Chelsea. After completing his education, he took employment with Tuck and Block Furniture Company, of Chelsea, Hyde Shoe Co. of Cambridge, and also National Biscuit of Cambridge. When WWII broke out, he enlisted in the US Navy, serving with the "Seabees". He served in the Navy during World War II having attained the rank of Baker 2nd Class. He enlisted on November 16, 1943 at Cambridge, MA discharged on December 11, 1945 at Boston, MA After his discharge, he returned to the National Biscuit Company, where he became treasurer of the Local #348 of the Bakery and Confectioner's Union. He retired after 34 years with the company.
George was a communicant of St. Josephs Church, a member of the Malden Moose, a member of the Malden Lions Club, a member of the American Legion Post #69 in Malden. He was also Past National Vice Commander of the 40 & 8, and he was an official "Joey" of the Ringling Bro's Circus. He was known locally as the Balloon man. Mr. Paris lived in Malden, MA.
He is survived by his daughter, Carol Ann Paris of Newton, his sons Donald Paris , and George A. Paris Jr. of Newton, and granddaughter, Stacey A. Walsh - Lessard of Malden, and great-grandchildren, Gina and Edward.
He was preceded in death by his wife Viola, his parents, George and Josephine (Anderson) Paris.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home on Monday from 9-11 AM. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 16, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home. Rev. William J. Minnigan, Pastor of St. Joseph's Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Mausoleum in Malden.

Gladys A. Parsons
Gladys A. Parsons, 87, a long time resident of Malden , MA died peacefully at her home on Thursday, April 10, 2003 . Mrs. Parsons was born and educated in Spaniards Bay, Newfoundland, Canada and after her marriage to her husband John C. Parsons moved to Malden where John and Gladys's brother, George formed the Vokey & Parsons Construction Co. building homes on the North Shore and Southern New Hampshire.
Mrs. Parsons was a lifelong member of the Centre United Methodist Church of Malden. She served her church well, fund raising for the annual fall tea, opening her home to the many dignitaries that visited there and hosting her famous Christmas Choir parties and Tandem Club parties. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Malden Old and New and she and her husband, John served as secretaries for the Tandem Club. Glady's and her husband also enjoyed their summers at their second home in York Beach, Maine and annual trips to Newfoundland and was proud to be an American.
Mrs. Parsons was preceded in 2000 by her husband of sixty years John C. Parsons. She was a devoted and loving mother to her daughter, Kathryn D. and her husband Alan J. Walker, her daughter Deborah L. and her husband John W. Edney. Grandmother of Jonathan J. Walker and Emma Kate and her husband Jean C. Paris. She had the most special love for her great-grandson John Henry 'Jack' Paris all of Kingston, NH. She is also survived by her sister Mabel Peddle and her family of Spaniards Bay, Newfoundland and many other relatives in Canada and the United States.
She was born September 14, 1915 in Spaniards Bay, Newfoundland, Canada the daughter of the late Solomon and Edith (Ross) Vokey.

Private Funeral Services were held on Monday, April 14, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at the Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, with Chaplain Nancy Zaya of the VNA of Middlesex East officiating. Burial followed in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.

Patroni, Francis J. "Frank"
Francis J. 'Frank' Petroni, age 80, of Malden, formerly of Medford, died Wednesday in his home, after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Concetta (Gallo) Morretti Petroni & the late Mary (Pestana) Petroni, and the son of the late Vincenzo & Addolarata (Archidiagani) Petroni. Born in Amesbury, he was raised in Medford, and has lived many years in Malden. He was a US Army veteran of World War II. He worked as a Life Insurance representative for Metropolitan Life Insurance for 25 years. He was a member of Valladolid Council #70 , Knights of Columbus, Lynn and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1910, Malden.
Besides his wife Concetta of 23 years, he is survived by a daughter, Linda Davis of Seabrook, NH, a son Vincent Petroni of Canton, a sister Ann Petroni Tortorici of Sanford, FL, 2 brothers, Vincent Petroni of Woburn & Michael Petroni of Medford; 4 step daughters, Concetta Hayes of Swampscott, Madeline Romano of Swampscott & Catherine Anderson of Rowley & Monica Morretti of Manchester, NH, a step son Nunzio Morretti, 14 grandchildren & many nieces & nephews. He was the brother of the late Josephine Colford and Lydia Morgan.

Wayne Paxton
Wayne Paxton, 67, a retired registered nurse ,died Wednesday, November 13, 2002 at Elihu White Nursing & Rehab Center in Braintree. Wayne was born and raised in Marysville, Kansas, one of 18 Children. He spent some time in Nebraska in his early years, and worked for the railroad for a short time prior being called to the Priesthood. He was a Catholic priest for over twenty years. After he left the priesthood he worked a few years as an auto mechanic before becoming a registered nurse. He worked as an RN for over 15 years.
He is survived by his friend, Wayne Cook, his Brothers James R, Francis, and Terry, and his sisters, Virginia,, Ellen, Ledina, Lynn, Glenndean, Helen, Janet and Nancy, all of Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his father Leon Paxton, and his mother Evelyn McCarty.

Lynda Michelle Peracchi
Lynda Michelle Peracchi, 53, a housewife, died Saturday, March 23, 2002 at the New England Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Mrs. Peracchi had lived in Malden, MA for the last 29 years and was previously from Arlington, MA.
Lynda was a graduate of Arlington High School Class of 1968.
She is survived by her husband Thomas J. Peracchi of Malden, her son Thomas A. Peracchi of Malden. Her mother Ruth C. (Powers) Vallier of Billerica. Her sister Susan DiVenuti and her husband Kevin. Lynda was the aunt of Kevin DiVenuti of Billerica.
Lynda was preceded in death by her sons, Gregory A. & Christofer A. both formerly of Malden and her father Alfred Vallier, formerly of Billerica.
She was born February 28, 1949 in Arlington, MA the daughter of Ruth (Powers) Vallier and the late Alfred Vallier.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden on Wednesday, March 27th. at 9:00 A.M. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.

Gregory Alex Peracchi
Gregory Alex Peracchi, 29, a sales clerk for Home Depot of Quincy, where he worked the past year and a half, died Wednesday, at his home in Quincy. Greg was born and raised in Malden. He was educated in the Malden School Systems, and graduated with the Class of 89 from Malden High School. He was raised as a member of St. Peters Church in the Edgeworth section of Malden. Mr. Peracchi lived in Quincy, for 4 months and was previously from Winthrop and Malden.
He is survived by his parents, Lynda (Vallier) and Thomas J. Peracchi of Malden, brother Thomas Peracchi of Malden, grandmother Ruth Vallier of Billerica, Uncle Kevin DiVenti, aunt Susan DiVenti, and cousin Kevin DiVenti, all of Billerica. He was preceded in death by his brother Christopher Peracchi.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home on Sunday from 7-9 PM, And on Monday, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home at 8:00 AM, Tuesday, September 11, 2001 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Church, Malden. Father Richard J. Mehm Pastor of Immaculate Conception Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.

Mildred Janet Perin
Mildred Jeannette Perin, 72, a retired upholstery stitcher from Lowell, MA died Tuesday, May 22, 2001 at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell. Mrs. Perin had lived in Lowell, MA for 30 years and was previously from Medford . Mrs. Perin was born and educated in Medford, later moving to Lowell. She retired from the furniture upholstery industry in 1990. Mrs. Perin's favorite pastime was crocheting. She was fondly called "Memere" by her grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Gerald "Jerry" Walker of Malden, her daughter Linda D. Gonyea of Lowell, her son Elwood "Tenney" Perin of Tewksbury, her son George D. Perin of Florida, and her brother Walter Rocheville of Medford. Also survived by 14 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband George D. Perin, and her father Theodore Rocheville, and her mother Eva M. Bernard.
She was born June 5, 1928 in Medford, MA the daughter of the late Theodore and Eva (Bernard) Rocheville.
At the request of Mrs. Perin cremation will take place on Friday. Visiting hours have been omitted.

Alba Perrone
Alba (Pinciaro) Perrone, 80, died suddenly, Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA. Alba was born and educated in Revere and after completing school she became a stitcher for the Murray Shoe Company of Cambridge for several years. When she married she and her husband resided in Everett and Revere before settling in Malden over fifty years ago. She was a member of Sacred Hearts Parish in Malden.
She is survived by her husband Joseph D. Perrone of Malden, her sons; Guy Perrone of New Mexico, and Joseph Perrone, Jr. of Malden, her daughter, Loretta Rogodzzinski of Malden , her brother, Fusibo Pinciaro of Stoneham, her sisters; Ida Conti of Malden and Viola Santella of Malden and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sisters; Efisia Venti, and Olimpia Perrone both formerly of Malden.
She was born April 22, 1924 in Revere, MA. the daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Perrotta) Pinciaro.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street Malden on Thursday September 23rd from 4-8 PM.
Funeral from the funeral home on Friday, September 24, 2004 at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church. at 10:00 A.M. with Fr. Daniel J. Hickey, Pastor of Sacred Hearts Church officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in 175 Broadway.

Frederick Thomas Person Jr.
Frederick Thomas Person Jr., 74, died Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA after being stricken with a heart attack at home. Frederick had lived in Malden, for over 30 years and was previously from Chelsea. Fred was a retired fabric layer for Malden Mills, where he worked for many years until the company moved to Lowell. Prior to working there he worked for five years with the Converse Rubber Co. in Malden. Fred attended St. Rose School in Chelsea.
He is survived by Lillian Duffy (sister) of Malden, MA, Edith Fish (sister) of Malden, Mary Foley (sister) of E. Boston, and Kenneth Person (brother) of Malden, Gertrude Sinclair (sister) of SC.
He was preceded in death by his father Frederick Person Sr., his mother Minnie Lambert, his brother Albert Person, his brother Edward Person, his brother George Person, his brother Herbert Person, and his brother Warren Person.
He was born January 8, 1928 in Chelsea, MA the son of the late Frederick and Minnie (Lambert) Person Sr.
Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home on Sunday, July 7th. from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 8, 2002 at 9:00 A.M. in the Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main St., Malden. The Rev. Francis E. Sullivan of Sacred Hearts Church will be the celebrant. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.

Kenneth Thomas Person Sr.
Kenneth Thomas Person, 63, of Malden, died Friday, December 13, 2002 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose. Ken was born in Cambridge, and raised in Jamaica Plain. In his early 20's, he moved to the Malden area and took employment with the Friend's Beans Co, in Malden, where he worked for many years. He had also enlisted with the National Guard, and served with them for eight years. He went on to become a machinist, and worked in many metal shops over the years, until a disabilily forced his early retirement. He remained very handy, and was adept to working with his hands and was also a skilled mechanic. He also enjoyed collecting toy and model cars, as well as sports cards. Mr. Person lived in Malden, Massachusetts for over 40 years.
He is survived by his wife Jacqueline M. (Boyer) of Malden, His daughters, Donna M. Neal of Halifax, Katherine A. Neal of Malden, & Marie L. Person of Malden, and his sons Kenneth T. Person Jr. of Malden, and James M. Person of FL, and his sister, Eidth Fish of Malden, Lillian Duffy of Malden, Mary Foley of E. Boston, MA, and Gertrude Sinclair of SC.
He was preceded in death by his father Frederick Person Sr., his mother Minnie (Lambert) Person, his son Joseph C. Neal , and his brothers Frederick Person, Albert Person, Edward Person, Herbert Person, Warren Person, and George Person.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, MA on Monday from 5 - 9 PM.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2002 at 9:00 A.M. at Sacred Hearts Church., 297 Main Street, Malden. Fr. Daniel J. Hickey of Sacred Hearts Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.

Italia Petto
Italia 'Tillie' Petto, 92, died Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at the Courtyard Nursing Care Center in Medford, MA. Tillie was born in Boston and was raised and educated in Everett, later moving to Malden where she lived most of her life. Tillie was a retired seamstress working for different tailor shops in the Boston area. She was a longtime member of the Amalgamated Clothing Worker Union of Boston and enjoyed going to Boston and spending time with her coworkers for lunch.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Petto, her father Vito Di Blasio, her mother Anna Della Piana, her sister Elda Pasche, her brother Peter Di Blasio, her sister Mary DiCillo, her sister Eleanora DiVidio, her sister Edith Johnson, her sister Anne Simonelli, her brother Americo Di Blasio, and her brother Frank Di Blasio.
She was born March 3, 1912 in Boston, MA the daughter of the late Vito and Anna (Della Piana) Di Blasio.
Visitation will be held at the Weir -MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden, on Friday from 8 - 9 AM one hour prior to the Funeral Mass.
Funeral was held from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., MALDEN, on Friday, Nov. 12th. at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 9 AM. Anne Marie Phillips
Anne M. (Warman) Phillips, 89, died Saturday, February 5, 2005 at the Town & Country Nursing Home in Lowell, MA Anne was born in Glasgow, N. S. Canada and came to the US in 1927. She lived in the Saugus area for a few years, moved to Malden, and eventually settled in Wilmington in 1947. In 1966 she started work at the Diamond Crystal Company as a machine operator for twelve years, retiring in 1978. She returned to Malden and spent twenty-seven years enjoying her retirement. Her greatest pleasures in life were caring for her children and grandchildren and keeping a neat home.
She is survived by her children, Robert E. Phillips of Marblehead, Patricia A. Hamilton of Pepperell, Judith A. Days and Arlene F. Rivers both of Dracut and Wendall E. Phillips of FL. She was the loving sister of James A. Warman and his wife Helen of Melrose and her cherished, six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father John Warman, and her mother Anne Carter and six siblings
She was born August 29, 1915 in Nova Scotia Canada, the daughter of the late John and Anne (Carter) Warman.
Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden on Monday from 4-8 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Anne's memory may be made to the Activities Department of the Town & Country Nursing Home, 259 Baldwin St., Lowell, MA 01851.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2005 in the Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home at 11 AM, with the Rev. Paul C. Mc Pheeters of the Forestdale Community Couch officiating. Interment in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden at a later date.
