Anthony J. Luposello - Former Croton Resident
Anthony J. Luposello, a former Croton resident died Saturday at his home in Yonkers.
He was 41.
He was born February 3, 1962 to Anthony and Sarah Sebastiano Luposello in Croton.
He graduated from Croton-Harmon High School in 1980, from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania in 1984, and from Pace University School of Law in 1988. He passed the Connecticut Bar Exam in 1989.
Mr. Luposello worked at United Health Care until April 2002. Prior to that, he worked the Editorial Page of The Wall Street Journal.
He is survived by his mother, Sarah, of Croton; his two children, John Anthony and Sarah Elizabeth Luposello of Katonah; one sister, ToniAnne Luposello of Croton; six aunts; five uncles; and 11 cousins.
Funeral arrangements and services were handled by Edward F. Carter Funeral Home in Croton.

Laura Discipio - Yorktown Resident
Laura Discipio, a resident of Yorktown, dies suddenly April 4 at Northern Westchester hospital in Mount Kisco.
She was 87.
She was born January 15, 1916 in Mamaroneck to Americo and Marietta Discipio.
She was educated in Peekskill and graduated from St. Joseph's in 1933. She was a former employee of Selectro in Mamaroneck before retiring in 1981.
She lived in Yorktown Heights for the pas 17 years. Prior to that, she lived in Mamaroneck for 55 years. She taught CCD at St. Vito's in Mamaroneck and was very active in the church. Most recently, she was a member of Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Shrub Oak.
She is survived by niece Patricia Berkowitz; grandniece Kimberly Gallello; grandnephews Peter Gallello, Gregg Gallello and John O'Connell; and four great-nieces and nephews.

Nicholas L. Raimondo - Yorktown resident
Nicholas L. Raimondo, a resident of Yorktown, died April 5 at the NYS Veterans Home in Montrose.
He was 84.
He worked at Con Edison as a technician for many years before his retirement in 1981.
He was born May 23, 1918 in White Plains to Nicholas and Imaculata (Gagliardi) Raimondo. He served in the Army from 1941 to 1945. He served in the 1002nd Medical Battalion in the South Pacific, earning a Bronze Star.
He belonged to the VFW of Yorktown and was one of the original founders of the Mohansic Boys and Girls Club. He was also an active member of the Yorktown Recreation Department.
He married Elvera (Kye) Stancari in November 10, 1946.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Raimondo is survived by son Dennis; two daughters, Dale Flynn (Robert) and Diane Raimondo; two grandchildren; one sister, Frances Raimondo; and one brother; Monsignor Joseph Raimondo.
Funeral arrangements and services were handled by Clark Funeral Home in Yorktown.

Ethel M. Anderson - Shrub Oak resident
Ethel M. Anderson, a resident of Shrub Oak, died April 2 at Hudson Valley Hospital Center in Cortlandt.
She was 90.
She worked as a teacher for Yorktown School District. She was with the district for 41 years before retiring in 1977. She was a New York State Teachers Union member.
She was born March 28, 1913 in Brooklyn to John and Hally Petterson Anderson.
She was educated in Shrub Oak and graduated from Shrub Oak High School in the first graduating class in 1932.
She earned a B.A. degree in Education from N.Y.U. She also took graduate studies at University of Chicago.
She lived in Shrub Oak for the past 75 years.
She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church.
She is survived by several cousins in Sweden.
Funeral arrangements and services were handled by Clark Funeral Home in Yorktown.

Irene Rohrig - former Shrub Oak resident
Irene Rohrig, a former Shrub Oak resident, died March 30, 2003.
She was born in Gary, Indiana.
She is survived by her husband, Robert W. Rohrig; four children, Robert Rohrig, Karen Rohrig, Sharon Rohrig, and Renee Quirk; two brothers, Eddie Kazlauski and Willie Kazlauski; one sister, Ann Witter; and four grandchildren, Rob Rohrig, Jason Rohrig, Billy Quirk, and Danny Quirk.
She lived at her current residence in Millbrook for 15 years. She had lived in Shrub for 26 years and was a housewife.
Funeral arrangements and services were handled by Heritage Funeral Home in Putnam Valley.

Patricia Kinney - Lake Peekskill resident
Patricia Elizabeth Kinney of Lake Peekskill, died April 4 at Westchester Medical Center.
She was 55.
She was the beloved wife of John Kinney and the cherished mother of Joseph Kinney, Cindy Zinser, Lonnie Zinser, Judy Fisher, Debbie Cole and John Kinney; and devoted grandmother of Cheryl Ann, Robert, Cheyanne, Billy, John, Kyle and Alissa.
Funeral arrangements and services were handled by Heritage Funeral home in Putnam Valley.

Madeline Spock - Peekskill resident
Madeline Spock, a longtime resident of Peekskill, died March 27.
She was 88.
She was born March 9, 1915 in Peekskill to Samuel and Bella Cafferty Spock.
She attended Assumption Grammer School and Peekskill High School. A production line worker in the yeast department at Fleischmann’s, Ms. Spock retired in the early 1980’s after many years of faithful service.
She was a communicant at Assumption Church.
She is survived by her loving goddaughter, Eileen Falina, and Eileen’s son Mark, both of Poughkeepsie.
She was predeceased by her sister, Marie Spock.
Funeral arrangements and services were handled by Dorsey-Carlone Funeral Home in Peekskill.

Janet Franzoso - former Ossining resident
Janet Franzoso, a former Ossining resident, died April 1 after a short illness.
She retired from the Ossining School System in 1989 and was predeceased by her husband, Dominic, in 1996.
She will be remembered for her trusting nature, fierce independence, her generosity, vivid imagination, wonderful sense of humor, her devotion to her loved ones, and her love of animals.
Survivors include her son, Nick, his wife Mary, of Massachusetts; son, Nick, his wife Ellen, and grandson Nick, of Ossining; and daughter, Teresa, of Florida.
Funeral arrangements and services were handled by Dorsey Funeral Home in Ossining.

Vincent DeCicco Jr. - Peekskill resident
Vincent DeCicco Jr., a lifelong Peekskill resident, died March 24, 2003.
He was 38.
He was born July 13, 1964 in Cold Spring, New York to Vincent and Ethel Crookston DeCicco.
He is survived by his sister, June Foster of Narrowsburgh, New York; one brother, Angelo DeCicco of Mohegan Lake; two nieces; and one nephew.
Funeral arrangements and services were handled by E.O. Curry Funeral Home in Peekskill.

Johnnie Mae Britt - Ossining resident
Johnnie Mae Britt, a resident of Ossining, died April 5 at Northern Westchester Hospital Center in Mount Kisco.
She was 63.
She was born March 7, 1940 in Rhine, Georgia to John Henry and Rosalie (Chaney) Webb.
She was a teacher's assistant with the Ossining School System.
Her husband Fred and her loving family and many friends survive her.
Funeral arrangements and services were handled by Dorsey Funeral Home in Ossining.

Edna E. Fielding - Yorktown resident
Edna E. Fielding (nee Lawton), a resident of Yorktown, died peacefully April 12, 2003 at Bethel Nursing Home in Croton.
She was 98.
She worked as a loom operator for Alexander Smith Carpet Factory in Yonkers. She was with the company for many years. She also worked for Precision Valve in Yonkers until her retirement.
She was a member of the Rebecca Lodge in Yonkers for most of her life.
She was born January 13, 1905 in Yonkers to Phineas and Agnes Lawton.
On April 26, 1930, she married Norman Fielding Sr. in Yonkers.
Mrs. Fielding lived in Bethel Nursing Home in Croton for the past four years. Before that she lived in Yorktown Heights for many years.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Yorktown and belonged to the Yorktown Senior Citizen Center.
She will be remembered for her love of her family.
She is survived by her sons, Norman (Arlene) Fielding Jr. of Yorktown Heights, and Edgar D. (Diane) Fielding of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; two sisters, Ethel Dee of Deerfield Beach, Florida and Winifred Conklin of Cuba, New York; six
grandchildren; and nine great- grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Norman Sr. on July 31, 1968.
Others who died earlier were four sisters, Elizabeth Lorenz, Ruth Spink, Maude Naumann and Henrietta Van Heems, and her brother Charles Lawton.
Funeral arrangements and services were handled by Clark Funeral Home in Yorktown Heights.

Rose L. Bennett - Peekskill resident
Rose L. Bennett, a resident of Peekskill, April 13, 2003.
She was 53.
She was born November 3, 1949 in Washington D.C. to Dennis and Barbara (Adams) Moore.
She was a graduate of Marymount College in Tarrytown and had been employed in the Human Resources Department of Neiman Marcus in White Plains for several years.
Mrs. Bennett lived in Elmsford for many years and has resided in Peekskill since 1997. She was a member of the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, where she served as an Administrative Assistant.
She was also a member of the Work Force Initiative through Westchester Community College.
She is survived by her husband, Donald (Don) Bennett, Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, 1st Lt. Damon and Althea Bennett of Ft. Lewis, Washington; granddaughter, Michaela Bennett; mother, Barbara Moore of Laurel, Maryland; two brothers, Dana and Reginald Moore; and one sister, Denise Moore.
Funeral arrangements and services were handled by E.O. Curry Funeral Home in Peekskill.

Sanford “Sandy” Deutsch - Yorktown resident
Sanford “Sandy” Deutsch, a 45-year resident of Yorktown, died April 13, 2003 at Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco.
He was 80.
He was born July 18, 1922 in Washington D.C. to Charles and Rose (Aaron) Deutsch.
He was a U.S. Army photographer during WWII. He worked as a marketing researcher for Daniel Yankelobitch in New York City for 30 years, retiring in 1986.
He was an avid collector of antique radios and was a ham radio operator.
He is survived by his wife Betty and son, Steven of the home address in Yorktown.
Funeral arrangements and services were handled by E.O. Curry Funeral Home in Peekskill.
