MR. RAYMOND VAN SENSING JR.
Mr. Raymond Van Sensing Jr., 53, of Newnan died Dec. 28, 1996 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.
Born Dec. 16, 1943 in Louisiana, Mr. Sensing was the son of the late Raymond Van Sensing and Florence (Tomley) Sensing. He was the owner of Newnan Racquetball and Health Club and California Concepts.
Funeral services were held Dec. 30 at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Skeeter Thompson officiating.
Interment followed at Oak Hill Cemetery with David Frank, Jerry Dixon, Carl Williams, Richard Medaly, Robert Brown, Corky Jordan, Jeff Camp and Pat Broussard serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were George Dorsey and Bobby Sanders.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma (Bolch) Sensing of Newnan; sons, Troy (Georgia) Sensing of Pennsylvania, Tim (Nancy) Sensing of Newnan, Todd (Crissie) Sensing of Stone Mountain; three grandchildren; brothers and sisters.

Born Feb. 12, 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. deBock was the daughter of the late John and Katherine (Quint) Antel. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church.
Funeral services were held Dec. 27 at McKoon Funeral Home with Deacon Ben Gross officiating.

Mrs. Joy Rainwater McKoy, 32, of Luthersville died Dec. 22, 1996 at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange.
Born April 30, 1964, Mrs. Rainwater lived in Coweta and Meriwether counties for most of her life and was a member of White Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Graveside services were held Dec. 23 at White Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Norton, the Rev. L.O. Thompson and the Rev. Willard Dean officiating.
Survivors include her daughter, Jeannie Ruth Rainwater; son, Bobby Allen McKoy; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Rainwater, all of Luthersville.

Mr. Donald L. Moon, 42, of Hogansville died Dec. 25, 1996 at Rockdale Hospital in Conyers.
Born April 27, 1954 in Atlanta, Mr. Moon lived in Conyers most of his life. He was a shipping supervisor and a member of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services were held Dec. 27 at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Jimmy Brown officiating. Interment followed at Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville with Don Kelly, Peanut Kelly, Jack Henslee, Stanley Wilson, Mark Watkins and Mike Pearson serving as pallbearers.

Miss Joy Shirey, 49, of Hogansville died Dec. 23, 1996 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
Born Feb. 13, 1947 in Hogansville, Miss Shirey was the daughter of the late Fred and Helen (Whitten) Shirey. A lifelong resident of Hogansville, she was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was employed by Duracell of LaGrange for more than 20 years.
Funeral services were held Dec. 26 at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Marty Few and the Rev. R.C. Prescott officiating. Interment followed at Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.

Mr. Horace Stepp of Grantville passed away Dec. 18, 1996 at Peachtree Regional Hospital in Newnan.
Born Feb. 14, 1915 in Meriwether County, Mr. Stepp was a member of Greater Jehovah Baptist Church in Grantville and Grantville Lodge #264.
Funeral services were held Dec. 23 at Greater Jehovah Baptist Church with the Rev. Oliver Wells officiating, assisted by other ministers. Interment followed at Grantville Cemetery with member of Grantville Lodge # 264 serving as pallbearers.

Funeral services were held Dec. 24 at McKoon Funeral Home with Dr. Gene Tyre officiating, assisted by the Rev. Don Helms. Interment followed at Oak Hill Cemetery with Kenneth Kee, Kirby Kee, Kerry Kee, Micah Kee, Jarred Kee and Kevin Kee serving as pallbearers. The Love Sunday School Class served as an honorary escort.

Funeral services were held Dec. 23 at Hightower Funeral Home in Bremen with Dr. Bob Helton and elder Homer Benefield officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Zion Church Cemetery with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Survivors include her daughters, Willia Sue White of Rome, Wilma Ann Kennedy of Newnan; son, William Wright of Petersburg, Va.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Born Aug. 16, 1925 in Georgia, Mrs. Craven was the daughter of the late Louis and Mattie (Gladden) Sanders and the widow of Howard Craven. She was a cafeteria worker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

MR. MAYO HARTMAN ROYAL SR.
Mr. Mayo Hartman Royal Sr., 80, of Newnan died Dec. 21, 1996 at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange.
Born Dec. 17, 1916 in Dooley County, Mr. Royal was the son of the late James M. and Katie (Butler) Royal. He was a retired vice president of sales for Royal Molded Products in Newnan.
A member and deacon of First Baptist Church, Mr. Royal was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran, reaching the rank of lieutenant and serving in World War II. He was a member of the Newnan-Coweta Airport Authority, the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce, the Newnan Civitan Club, the Newnan-Coweta Art Association and the Coweta County Republican Party.
Funeral services were held Dec. 23 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Gene Tyre officiating, assisted by Dr. Robert T. Baggott Jr. Interment followed at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Robert Brass, Max Bass, Doug Cantrell, Rusty Bullard, Billy Stephenson, Charles Beams, John Keeble and Bud Freeburg. Honorary pallbearers were deacons of First Baptist Church, members of the David Stripling Sunday School Class and the Newnan-Coweta Airport Authority.

Born Feb. 1, 1909 in Newnan, Mrs. Wortham was the daughter of the late Thomas and Minnie Lee (Luckie) Harp and the widow of Roy Wortham. She was a retired educator, having taught at Atkinson and Elm Street schools, and a member of First Baptist Church in Newnan.
Mrs. Wortham attended Newnan High School and graduated from Georgia State University. She was a member of the Retired Teaches Association, the American Cancer Society and taught Sunday School at First Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Dec. 22, 1996 at McKoon Funeral Home with Dr. Gene Tyre officiating, assisted by the Rev. Gerald Troutman. Interment followed at Forest Law Memorial Park with Steven Troutman, Lee Troutman, Hugh Farmer, Al Abraham, George Barron, Hugh Beavers, Cofield Widner, Steve Harris and James Luckie serving as pallbearers.
