MR. SOL GOMEZ
Mr. Sol Gomez, 71, of Newnan and formerly of New York died Oct. 29, 1996 at Newnan Hospital.
Born July 8, 1925 in New York City, Mr. Gomez was retired from international trade and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Glen Oaks, N.Y.
Funeral services were held Oct. 30 at Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home with Dr. Alton McEachern officiating. Interment followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Gomez of Newnan; son, Steven Gomez of Charlotte, N.C.; daughter, Susan Todd of Newnan; grandson, Michael Todd of Newnan; and sister, Violet Vila of New York.

JESSIE FRANCES McLAMB
Mrs. Jessie Frances McLamb, 75, of Carrollton died Oct. 29, 1996
Mrs. McLamb was born Oct. 24, 1921 in Columbus. She was the widow of Ernest McLamb Sr.
Memorial services were held Oct. 31 at Martin and Hightower West Center Street Chapel in Carrollton with the Rev. Doug Bingham officiating. Funeral services were conducted later in the day at Morrison Funeral Home in Pembroke, Ga.
Survivors include four sons, three daughters, five sisters, four brothers, 27 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

MR. MALCOLM MUSICK
Mr. Malcolm Musick, 83, of Grantville died Oct. 29, 1996 at Newnan Hospital.
Born Aug. 14, 1913 in Carroll County, Mr. Musick was the son of the late Frank and Drusilla Cavender Musick. He had lived in Grantville for 50 years and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Grantville.
Mr. Musick was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was a retired payroll courier for West Point Pepperell Grantville Mills.
Funeral services were held Oct. 31 at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Kara Stalcup and the Rev. Ellis Freeman officiating. Interment followed at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan.
Serving as pallbearers were Bobby Ward, Harold Ward, Albert Faulkner, Jacob Story, Bill Wood and Lamar Musick.
Survivors include his wife, Lorene Musick of Grantville; step-sons, Jimmy Griffies and Max Griffies, both of Newnan; 17 step-grandchildren, 18 step-great-grandchildren and two step-great-great-grandchildren.

MRS. MARTHA JEAN RAINEY
Mrs. Martha Jean Rainey, 61, of Wynn Street in Newnan died Oct. 30, 1996 in Newnan.
Born June 2, 1935 in Newnan, Mrs. Rainey was the daughter of the late Cliff and Hattie Mae (Drake) Smith. she was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith. She was the widow of Roy Rainey.
Funeral services were held Nov. 1 at McKoon Funeral Home with the Rev. Travis Eidson officiating. Interment followed at the Elim Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughters, Elaine Holley, Elizabeth Ann Stevenson, both of Newnan; son, Lamar Rainey of Newnan; sisters, Dorothy Langley, Dollie Hudson, Katherine Phillips, all of Newnan; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

MS. ANNIE R. CARMICHAEL
Ms. Annie R. Carmichael of Atlanta passed away Oct. 25, 1996 at South Fulton Hospital in East Point.
Family members may be contacted at the home of her sister, Mrs. Betty Dennis on Gordon Road in Senoia. Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Roscoe Jenkins Funeral Home in Newnan.

MRS. LUCILLE HARVEY DARDEN
Mrs. Lucille Harvey Darden, a retired Hogansville educator, died Oct. 26, 1996 at Southwest Christian Hospice in Union City.
Born in El Paso, Texas, Mrs. Darden was the daughter of the late Dr. Claude Harvey and Iva Anderson Harvey. She lived in Hogansville most of her life and was the widow of E.M. (Knox) Darden, who died in 1957.
Mrs. Darden was a graduate of Hogansville High School and Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville, now Georgia College. She also attended Duke University, LaGrange College, Auburn University and the University of Georgia.
Mrs. Darden taught school at R.E. Lee Institute in Thomaston and at Hogansville Primary School in Hogansville until her retirement in 1976 after 30 years of service. She was a member of Hogansville First United Methodist Church, where she was active in Sunday School, the United Methodist Women and the choir.
Mrs. Darden was a member of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange and at Newnan Hospital. She was a member of Green Bough Garden Club in Hogansville, Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority and the Hogansville Pilot Club.
Funeral services were held Oct. 29 at Hogansville First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Ritter, the Rev. Marion Shivers and the Rev. Comer Brownlow officiating. Interment followed at Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.
Serving as pallbearers were Jim Southard, Joe Conine. Richard Arnold, Scott Barksdale, Ken Hammock, Hubert Nall III, Fred Redmond and Claude Burden III. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Askew, Elizabeth Askew, Ralph Harris, Wayne Jones, William Smith and Hubert Nall Jr.
Survivors include a her son and daughter-in-law, Harvey and Paula Darden of Newnan and a grandson, Paul Madison Darden of Newnan.
Contributions can be made to Hogansville First United Methodist Church.

DR. B. LISA FRIDDELL
Dr. B. Lisa Friddell, 29, of Albany died Oct. 27 from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
Originally from Newnan, Dr. Friddell was a member of First Baptist Church in Newnan and was in practice with Albany Affinity Health Group. She was a graduate of Emory at Oxford and received a bachelor's degree from Emory University and a medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1992.
Dr. Friddell served her intern residency at Vanderbilt University and was a member of the Dougherty County Medical Association, the Georgia Medical Association and the American medical Association. She was a volunteer with the American Heart association and other health organizations.
Funeral services were held Oct. 29 at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Home in Albany with the Rev. Tim Steffen and the Rev. Tucker Lewis officiating. Interment services were held Oct. 30 (today) at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan with Dr. Gene Tyre and the Rev. L.C. Lane officiating.
Survivors include her mother, Barbara North Rawlins of Newnan; father, Tom H. Friddell of Sasser, Ga.; sisters, Lynn Friddell Chavez of Tallahassee, Fla., Brandi Morrell Friddell of Sasser; brother, Jesse Clayton Rawlins of Newnan; grandmother, Raye Y. North of Newnan; step-mother, Lawana S. Friddell; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Sherrill of Albany.
Contributions can be made to the American Heart Association of the B. Lisa Friddell Scholarship Fund at Oxford College, Oxford, Ga., 30267.

MR. WILLIE ROBERT "BUDDY" HUTCHINSON
Mr. Willie Robert "Buddy" Hutchinson, 49, of Dayton, Ohio and formerly of Newnan, passed away Oct. 20, 1996 in Dayton.
Born Nov. 28, 1946, Mr. Hutchinson was the son of the late Robert Hutchinson. He was educated in Coweta County and joined Mt. Vernon First Baptist Church at an early age.
Mr. Hutchinson was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam and spent most of his adult life in Dayton.
Funeral services were held Oct. 26 at Mt. Vernon First Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip K. Carr officiating, assisted by the Rev. Johnny T. Coleman. Interment followed at Eastview with cousins serving as pallbearers.
Survivors include his mother, Sarah Hutchinson; son, Dexter Harden of Newnan; daughters, Trina Hutchinson, Cathy Hutchinson, LaRonda Hutchinson; a grandson; sisters, Emma Jean Daniel, Kathy Bernice Hutchinson; brother, Stanley Lee Hutchinson; grandfather, Addie F. Hutchinson; aunts; uncles; nieces and nephews.

MR. LETSON D. JUSTISS
Mr. Letson D. Justiss, 89, of Grantville died Oct. 24, 1996 at Persona Care of Clayton County in Lake City.
Born Oct. 22, 1907 in Coweta County, Mr. Justiss was the son of the late John and Annie Speer Justiss. He was retired from Grantville Mills and was a member and deacon of Happy Valley Baptist Church in Newnan.
Funeral services were held Oct. 26 at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Calhoun officiating. Interment followed at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan.
Serving as pallbearers were Dale Porter, Ray Hopper, George Kramer, Joey Kramer, Christopher Porter and Michael Brown.
Survivors include his daughter, Glenda Brown of Grantville; brother, Haygood Justiss of Newnan; grandchildren, Mike Brown of Newnan, Kim Kramer of Fayetteville, Suzanne Porter of McDonough, Donna Hopper of Stockbridge and seven great-grandchildren.

MR. JAMES (HUMP) WHITE SR.
Mr. James (Hump) White Sr., 65, of Hill Street in Newnan passed away Oct. 21, 1996 at Newnan Hospital.
Born Aug. 9, 1931 in Fulton County Mr. White was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lee White. He joined Ebeneezer Baptist Church at an early age.
Mr. White was married to the Georgia Mae Bailey. He was preceded in death by a son.
Funeral services were held Oct. 25 from the R.W.S. Memorial Chapel at Sellers-Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Rufus Smith officiating, assisted by the Rev. R.W. Sutton, the Rev. Joie Johnson and other ministers.
Interment followed at Eastview Cemetery with Jackie Porter, Hubert Smith, Ervin Parks, Kenneth Lake, Gary Smith and Donald Barber serving as pallbearers.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Pearl White, sons, the Rev. and Mrs. James White Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lee White, Anthony White Michael White; daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Ray (Debra) Stegall Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery (Cynthia) Render, Mr. and Mrs. Daryl Burks, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Burks; daughter-in-law, Willene White; brother, Henry White; sisters, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie C. (Tommie) Rowe, Lena Smith; mother-in-law, Alma Barber; 34 grandchildren; six grandchildren; brothers and sisters in law; nieces and nephews.

MRS. LEONA MAYES CAMMON
Mrs. Leona Mayes Cammon, 76, of Newnan passed away Oct. 20, 1996 at Starcrest Nursing Home.
Born Nov. 30, 1919 in Meriwether County she was the daughter of the late Lillie Mayes. She was the widow of the Rev. William Cammon of Dayton, Ohio and was preceded in death by a sister, Mattie M. Calhoun.
Funeral services were held Oct. 23 from R.W.S. Memorial Chapel at Sellers-Smith Funeral home with the Rev. G.B. Vaughn officiating, assisted by the Rev. J.W. Russell Sr. and evangelist Gloristein Arnold.
Survivors include her daughters, Mattie Pearl Cook, Shelly C, Vaughn; grandsons, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony (Cynthia) Calhoun, Donnie J. Clark, Ronnie J. Clark, all of Newnan, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis E. Maddox of New Jersey, Bryant Cammon, D.E. Anredre Cammon; granddaughter, Lashoc Vaughn of Newnan; six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.

MRS. NOMIE CHEEVES
Mrs. Nomie Cheeves, 78, of Poplar Road in Newnan died Oct. 19, 1996 at Newnan Hospital.
Born July 8, 1918 in Carrollton, Mrs. Cheeves was retired from Playtex Apparel and was a member of Community Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Oct. 21 at Hillcrest Chapel Funeral home with the Rev. Jerry Cole officiating. Interment followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan.
Serving as pallbearers were Kelvin Brown, Jason Cheeves, Robert Bland, Ned Coleman, Bobby Brown and Marc Jones.
Survivors include her children, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd (Sally) Cheeves of Griffin, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley (Linda) Brown of Newnan, Mr. Donnie Cheeves of Newnan, Mr. and Mrs. Leon (Patricia) Wilson of Stockbridge; sister, Bertie Hay of Douglasville; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

MRS. LILLIAN NOLES DAVIS
Mrs. Lillian Noles Davis, 73, of Maple Street in Grantville died Oct. 22, 1996 at her home.
Born April 16, 1923 in Meriwether County, Mrs. Davis was a retired shipping worker from William L Bonnell Company and was a member of Victory Tabernacle. She was preceded in death by husbands, Willie Noles and Lee Davis.
Funeral services were held Oct. 25 at Hillcrest Chapel Funeral home with Pastor Bruce Gossett officiating, assisted by the Rev. Milton Winslett. Interment followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Joseph Williamson, Tim Langford, Bobby Phillips, George Buchanan, Matt Williamson and Cranford Addison serving as pallbearers.
Survivors include her children, Henry Thomas (Linda) Noles of Grantville, Anthony (Shirley) Noles of Chatsworth, Earnest (Betty) Noles of Grantville, Ed (Martha) Casey of Riverdale; sister, Martha Louise Smith of Molena; sister-in-law, Lorene Sellars of Carrollton; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
