Richard Dale Dillard, 66, of Channelview, passed away July 23, 2005 after a long illness. Mr. Dillard was born April 16, 1939 in Harlingen, Texas to Jack J. & Doris M. Dillard. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1960. He made a living as a residential air conditioning technician. He is preceded in death by his parents and is lovingly survived by his wife of 45 years, Winnie Louise (Stillwell) Dillard of Channelview; by sons, Richard Lee Dillard & wife Deneice of Baytown; and Jerry Lynn Dillard & wife Sheryl also of Baytown; by brother, Alan Dillard of Victoria, Texas and sister Darlene Dillard of Channelview; as well as by his grandchildren, Amanda Dillard, Dwaine Dillard, Kayla Dillard, Brian Dillard, Shelby Dillard and Matthew Dillard.
Services celebrating his life were held Wednesday July 27, 2005 at Carter Funearl Chapel with family friend and brother in Christ, Ross Land officiating. He was laid to rest in San Jacinto Memorial Park with military honors by the American Legion Post 521, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Reyna Isabel Rodriguez
Reyna Isabel Rodriguez, 43, of Jacinto City, passed away July 23, 2005 after a long battle with breast cancer. Reyna was born June 30, 1962 in San Miguel, El Salvador to Julio Nobles Mejia and Ana Julia Umana. She is lovingly survived by mother, Julia Benites of El Salvador; husband, Conrad Rodriguez, Jr. of Buffalo, Texas; sons, Jorge Nobles & wife Eva of Houston and Herberth Nobles also of Houston; by daughter, Karen Nobles & husband Juan of Houston; as well as by sisters, Betty Fuentes and Lourdes Rubio of Houston; Mila Benites and Gladys Nabarrete of El Salvador; and one granddaughter, Stephanie Andrade of Houston. Rosary services were held July 25, 2005 at Carter Funeral Chapel with Funeral Services Tuesday evening at Templo Cristiano Haziel with Pastor Roberto Santos officiating. Mrs. Rodriguez was laid to rest in her home land of San Miguel, El Salvador. Local arrangements by Carter Funeral Home.

Annie Josephine Jordan
Annie Josephine Jordan, 94, of Baytown, formerly of Houston, went to be with her Lord, July 22, 2005. She was born July 15, 1911 in Bay City, Texas to James Fred Reeves & Martha Josephine Rother Reeves. She was preceded in death by her parents, by husband, Orvel Jordan, by son, Clarence Lee Shipp and brothers, William F. Reeves and Earnest F. Reeves. She is survived by son, Clifford W. Jordan of Hixon, Tennessee; daughter, Dorothy L. Webb of Moss Hill, Texas; brother, Henry Scott Reeves of Cleveland, Texas; grandchildren, Deborah Durbin & husband Danny; Kirk Webb & wife Melody; Jeanenne Perkins, Kendra Steffenauer, Clifford Jordan, Jr.; and Carrie Jordan. Great-grandchildren, Reese Webb, Meagan Webb, Blake Steffenauer and Alex Steffenauer.
Services celebrating Mrs. Jordan 's life were Monday, July 25, at 10:00 a.m. in Carter's Funeral Chapel. She was laid to rest beside her late husband in Houston National Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Joseph W. Sullivan
Joseph W. Sullivan, 66, of Houston, passed away July 16, 2005. Mr. Sullivan was born September 12, 1937 in Jersey City, New Jersey. He made a living as an airplane mechanic in the Houston area. He is survived by half-brothers, Gary J. Julewicz of Wayne, New Jersey and Robert Julewicz of Totowa, New Jersey and by niece, Laury Parker of Littlerock, California. Memorial services are pending. Arrangements by Carter Funeral Home.

Lillian Mary Perran
Lillian Mary (Potter) Perran, 55, of Highlands, Texas, passed away July 15, 2005. She was born January 11, 1950 in New Zealand to Stanley Abraham Potter and Gwendaleen Marion (Rutter) Potter. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.A. "Buddy" Perran in December 2003 and is lovingly survived by step-daughters Pamela Gosnell & husband Hank; Kimberly Ogden and husband Joe and Cynthia Williams all of Houston; sisters, Maureen Thomson, Joan Finley, Diane Oliver and brother Barry Potter all of New Zealand; special friend, Terry Paige and her children, D.J. & Anna; grandchildren, Bobby Gunner, Shannon Gosnell, Jennifer Ogden, Ashlee Ogden and Kendra Williams; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Mayer and husband Ben; Barbara Shannon and husband Bobby; brothers-in-law, Arthur Perran & wife Dorothy and James Perran and wife Patsy.
Services celebrating her life were held, Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at Carter Funeral Chapel with Pastor J. T. Griggs officiating. She was laid to rest next to her beloved husband in San Jacinto Memorial Park under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Herbert Tilden Archer
Herbert Tilden Archer, 74, of Houston, passed away July 8, 2005. He was born March 3, 1931 in Norfolk, Virginia to George Addison Archer and Alice Virginia ( Davis ) Archer. He was a Merchant Seaman for 45 years. He is preceded in death by parents and several siblings. He is survived by daughter, Annette Rene Parker and husband Bill of Corpus Christi, TX along with grandchildren, Bridget Whipkey of Dallas, TX; April Fleming of San Angelo, TX; Kristin Harrelson, Jennifer Christian, Ashley Harrelson and Matthew Parker all of Corpus Christi, TX; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Randolph Archer of Norfolk, Virginia and James Archer and wife Shirley of Gatesville, North Carolina; numerous nieces, nephews and special friends who called him Archie--Sally, Bunny, Dee, Randy, Tammy, Bobbie, and Dana. Private Memorial Services are pending. His cremains will be scattered at sea according to his wishes. Arrangements with Carter Funeral Home, Houston, Texas.

Betty Epps Gross
Betty Epps Gross, 75, of Houston, went home to be with her Lord, July 7, 2005. She was born July 16, 1929 in Galveston, Texas to Irby C. & Valentine Epps. She was a 1947 graduate of Lamar High School and graduated from SMU in 1952. She was married to Charles W. Gross Jr. on December 20, 1952. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was active in her early years with Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and was active in the Northshore Rotary with her husband Dub. She is preceded in death by her parents and well as by one daughter, Valerie Jo Gross and is survived by her husband of 52 years, Charles W. "Dub" Gross, Jr. of Houston; son, C.W. "Dubby" Gross, III of Houston; grandson, Chad Gross of Houston and sister-in-law, Betty Jo Harrison of Port Orange, Florida. Services were 11:00 am Saturday at Carter Funeral Chapel.

Robert James Mosley
Robert James Mosley, 58, of Houston, passed away suddenly July 4, 2005. He was born September 18, 1946 in Mobile, Alabama to Benjamin & Hattie Mosley. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War with service in the U.S. Army and worked as an electrician for Powell Electric for several years. He is preceded in death by parents and by brothers, Frank Mosley and Charles Mosley. He is survived by son, Richard "Rick" Mosley & wife Ginger of Humble; daughters, Heather Arrington of Humble; and Jennifer Mosley & husband Daniel Swords of South Houston; sister, Carolyn Ann Wasden of Alatamonte Springs, Florida; and brothers, Bennie Mosley and Philip Mosely both of Pasadena; as well as by grandchildren, Amber Mosley, Randell Mosley, Darwin Brown, Andrew Arrington and Destiny Arrington.
Services were held Friday, July 8, 2005 in the Chapel in Houston National Cemetery where he was laid to rest with full military honors by the VFW District 4 Memorial Team, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Myrtle Lois Damuth
Myrtle Lois Damuth, 73, of Galena Park ( Houston ), passed away July 4, 2005 after a long illness. Myrtle was born December 3, 1931 in Houston, Texas to Lewis & Robbie West. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved the beach and going camping and traveling. Mrs. Damuth is survived by her husband of 55 years, Bruce Damuth; children,Robert Bruce Damuth Jr. & wife, Jane, Lowell Stanley Damuth, and Barbara Damuth all of Houston; and Melody Wells & husband Mark of Crosby; by sister, Joyce Barnett of Somerville; brothers, Bobby West & wife Betty; of Channelview; and Larry West & wife Martha of Kosse, Texas; and by 4 grandchildren Ricky Damuth, Donald Damuth, Karen Wells and Andrew Wells and great-grandchild, Reagan Damuth; as well as by sister-in-laws, Virginia Jones, Nettie Mae McCaskill; and Joyce Slovak; special niece Gail Jones and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services were 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 8 at Channelview Church of Christ and she was laid to rest in Oaklawn Cemetery in Somerville, Texas under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Larry Craig Coons
Larry Craig Coons, 62, of Channelview, passed away July 1, 2005. He was born October 1, 1942 in Port Arthur, Texas to Roston Coons & Eloise Kimball Coons. He is preceded in death by his father and lovingly survived by mother, Eloise Coons of Austin, Texas; son, Craig Coons and daughter, Tressia Brackin, both of Sevierville, Tennessee; brother, Mark Coons of Austin, Texas; and special friend and partner, Sharon Cramer of Channelview. Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements with Carter Funeral Home.

Annie Belle Cochran
Annie Belle Cochran, 76, of South Houston, passed away August 31, 2005. She was born December 12, 1928 in Dallas, Texas to Landon Hayes Malone and Lena Mae Oliver Malone. She was preceded in death by her parents, by husband William L. Cochran in 1967 and daughter, Lisa Hurley in 1982. She is lovingly survived by daughter, Barbara Mason & husband James of Tomball, Texas; and sons, William "Bill" Cochran & wife Katherine of South Houston; and Robert Murray & wife Diana of Houston; as well as by sister, Connie Nelson of Houston and nine grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Services celebrating her life were held Saturday, September 3, 2005 at Carter Funeral Chapel with Pastor Steve Woody officiating. She was laid to rest in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Ronald Joseph Konarik
Ronald Joseph Konarik, 60, of Houston, passed away August 28, 2005. He was born July 25, 1945 in Halletsville, Texas to Frank Konarik and Mary Zeman Konarik. He worked as a warehouseman in the flooring industry. He was preceded in death by parents and by brother Harvey Konarik. He is survived by brother and sister-in-law, Victor & Patrice Konarik of Boliver; sisters & brothers-in-law, Marjorie & Leo Hromadka of Houston; Mildred & Earl Cobden of Humble; and Shirley & Steve Westbrook of Sugarland, Texas; as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Memorial services will be held at a later date and he will be laid to rest in Halletsville, Texas with his parents and brother Harvey. Arrangements with Carter Funeral Home, Inc.

Frances Janice Wilson
Frances Janice Wilson, known affectionately as Jigger, 68, of Houston, went home to be with her Lord & Savior August 28, 2005. She was born June 8, 1937 in Fort Worth, Texas to Paul Rayburn Jones and Frances Lorraine Rich Jones. She worked for 19 years for the Capital Bank in Jacinto City, retiring in 1995. She was preceded in death by her loving parents and by her husband, Walter R. Wilson in 1989. She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Lori McGee & husband Tillery of Houston; son, Wayne Wilson and wife Betty Jean of Crosby; brother, Charles Jones & wife, Margie of Houston; as well as by grandchildren Paula, Brandon, Libby, Eric, Amy, Rachael, Amanda, Dustin and Penny; and by 9 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services celebrating her life were held Wednesday August 31, 2005 at Woodforest Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Brady and Rev. John Brady officiating. Heaven practice was led by Rev. Rob Morris and by Mrs. Lisa Brady. She was a loving precious daughter, sister, mother and grandmother that will be deeply missed by all. Arrangements were through Carter Funeral Home.

James "Porter" Garrett
James "Porter" Garrett, 90, of Jacinto City, went to be with his Lord on August 28, 2005. Mr. Garrett was born April 18, 1915 in Victoria, Texas to William Bias Garrett & Malana Hammond Garrett. He was a long time member of First Baptist of Jacinto City and retired from Crown Central Petroleum in Pasadena after 33 years. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as by brothers, George Garrett, Charles Garrett and Marvin Garrett and sister, Mitola Lackey.
He is lovingly survived by wife of 68 years, Marie Emma Garrett; and by daughter, Carolyn Jean Tarris & husband Steven of Cheyenne, Wyoming; sons, James V. Garrett & wife Lisa of Cypress, Tx. and Donald Lee Garrett & wife Kay of Lovettsville, Virginia; sister, Lenora W. Vaughn of Wimberly, TX as well as by grandchildren, Cindy Silliman, Kimberley Renner & husband Richard; Curtis W. Johnson Jr.; Christopher M. Johnson; Angela M. Garrett; Bonnie J. Garrett; and Alexander C. Garrett and numerous other great-grandchildren and long-time friends.
Services celebrating his life were held Thursday, September 1, 2005 at Carter Funeral Chapel with Pastor Rick Blount officiating. He was laid to rest in Forest Park Lawndale under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Douglas Jackson Coughenour
Douglas Jackson Coughenour, 52, of Houston, passed away August 28, 2005. He was born May 2, 1953 in Lorain, Ohio to Lloyd Jackson Coughenour and Agnes Louise Coughenour. He worked as a repairman in the refrigeration industry and served his country during Vietnam in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by brother, Raymond Coughenour and good friend Ann Brewer and many other friends and acquaintances. Mr. Coughenour was laid to rest in Houston National Cemetery Friday September 2, 2005 under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Duane D. Trainer
Duane D. Trainer, 76, of Houston, passed away August 24, 2005. He was born June 6, 1929 in San Angelo, Texas to George J. Trainer, Jr. and Cillia Norwood Trainer. Mr. Trainer was a veteran of World War II with service in the U.S. Marines. He was preceded in death by parents and by son, Harley Trainer and brother, Laddie Trainer. He is survived by devoted friend and wife, Delia Stecker of Houston; son, Douglas Trainer of Houston; sister, Eddie Grace King of Houston and grandson, Buddy Trainer also of Houston. Mr. Trainer's cremated remains will be laid to rest in Houston National Cemetery Friday, September 2, 2005.

Terry Lynn Harper
Terry Lynn Harper, 50, of Channelview, passed away suddenly Sunday, August 21, 2005 in Cleveland, Texas. Terry was born May 12, 1955 in Baytown, Texas to Roscoe Earl Harper and Peggy Jean Fincher Harper. Terry is a 1973 graduate of Channelview High School. He had retired as a pipefitter after 25 years and had continued working in his later years in commercial real estate. He is preceded in death by his parents and is lovingly survived by wife of five years, Gay Lynn (Stokes) Harper of Channelview; brothers, Tony Harper of Kingwood, Tx and Stacy Harper & wife Merissa of ColdSprings, Tx; grandchildren, Jordan Kitterlin, Michael Smith, and Blayne Kitterlin; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services celebrating Terry's life were held Thursday, August 25, 2005 in Carter's Chapel with Mr. Donnie Carnathan officiating. He was laid to rest in Rosewood Cemetery in Humble under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Jane Hubbard
Jane Hubbard, 78, of Houston, passed away at her home August 17, 2005. She was born January 17, 1927 in Biscoe, Arkansas to Claude Leslie Shook & Rosie Matilda Hammon Shook. She had retired from Pasadena Bayshore Medical Center in 1992 where she worked for many years as an OB Tech. She had been a resident of the North Channel area since 1992. She was preceded in death by her parents and by brothers, Robert Shook and Donald Shook and sister Claudine Thomas.
She is lovingly survived by daughter, Betty Jane Jones of Splendora, Texas; sons, Jerry Wayne Hubbard of Houston and Larry Martin Hubbard also of Houston; by sister, Betty Daniels of Houston; as well as by grandchildren, Bruce McKinzie, Belinda Melder, Brian Mladenka, Kim Coffelt, Mike Hubbard and Jeannie Robertson and nine great-grandchildren.
Services celebrating her life were held Saturday, August 20, 2005 at Carter Funeral Chapel with friend Curtis Grumbles officiating.

Chasity Kervin
Chasity R. Kervin, 23, of Houston, passed away suddenly August 14, 2005. She was born November 10, 1981 in Houston, to Glenn Allen Kervin & Karen Marie Kolbe Kervin. She was preceded in death by her father and is lovingly survived by her son, Jeremy Kervin of Houston ; mother, Karen Redd of Houston ; brotherShawn Kervin of Houston; grandmother, Delores Denmon of Houston ; along with aunts Susan Messina, Christi Kervin and Donna Kervin; uncle Tony; cousins Barak, Christopher and Louis Jr. and many friends.
Services celebrating Chasity's short life were held Thursday August 18, 2005 at Carter's Funeral Chapel with Rev. Donnie Simpson officiating. She was laid to rest in San Jacinto Memorial Park under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Dallas Morris
Dallas Morris, Jr., 62, of Houston, passed away August 13, 2005. Mr. Morris was born June 4, 1943 in Marion County, Texas to Dallas Morris, Sr. & Ruby Sharp Morris. He worked as a heavy crane operator all over the country. He settled in Houston and resided there for the past 15 years. Dallas will be remembered for his funny stories and wild sense of humor.
He is preceded in death by his parents and is lovingly survived by his wife of 32 years, Gail Grigsby Morris of Houston; son, Dallas Morris, III of Rowlett, Texas; sisters, Bobbie Simmons & husband J.C. of Longview, Texas; Charlene Creamer & husband Lloyd of Denton, TX; and Norma Rich & husband Buddy of Jefferson, Texas; Gail's children, James McCarty & wife Cindy, Diana Simmons & husband David; Kevin Kaufman & wife Mary of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; along with 8 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 16, 2005 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home in Longview. Graveside Service is set for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2005 in Smyrna Cemetery in Harleton, Texas.

Timothy Joe Pool
Timothy Joe Pool, 51, of Channelview, passed away August 8, 2005. He was born October 10, 1953 in Houston to Chester & Bernice Pool. He grew up and attended Galena Park High School where he graduated in 1972. He was preceded in death by parents, Chester & Bernice Pool. He is survived by his three brothers, Deavell "Dee" Pool & wife Carolyn of Chattanooga, Tennessee ; Hiram Pool & wife Beverly of Galena Park; and Jerry Pool & wife Sandra of Seabrook, Tx. Memorial services were held Wednesday 6:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Chapel.
