LuVina I. Iverson
LuVina Iverson, 92, of 6420 Council Street NE, Cedar Rapids; formerly of Waterloo, died on Wednesday, February 23, 2005, at Nortbrook Manor Care Center of natural causes. She was born on June 20, 1912, in Williams, Iowa, the daughter of Jacob and Eliza Yanney. She married Clarence Iverson on February 15, 1939, in Des Moines, Iowa. He died on September 25, 1998.
LuVina was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Waterloo.
She is survived by her two sons, James Iverson and his wife Shirley of Cedar Rapids, Stephen Iverson and his wife MaryAnn of Naples, FL: four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Wanda Jacobsen of Webster City.
LuVina was preceded in death by her parents; husband, four sisters; and one brother.

W. D. "Don" Jensen
W. D. "Don" Jensen, 80, was born November 27, 1923 in Voorhies, Iowa, son of Carl and Mina (Whannel) Jensen. He graduated from Reinbeck High School and went on to serve with the US Navy during WWII.
Don married Gloria Thompson on December 11, 1947 in Waterloo. Gloria died on August 3, 1997. Don was a self-employed truck driver-Jensen Brothers Trucking, hauling sand and gravel- retiring in 1987. Don was an honorable man, well liked and respected. He was a devoted grandfather and great grandfather, loved his children and their families. The last four years, while living with Charles, even the neighborhood children knew him as grandpa.
He is survived by six sons- Larry (Susan), of Dysart; Terry (Kathy), of Lino Lakes, MN; William of Iowa City, Charles (Chris) of Cedar Falls, Mark of Evansdale, and Michael (Nancy) of Cedar Rapids. Twelve grandchildren, Kristen (Dave) Redlinger, Allison (Joe) Carlson, Libby, Jennifer, Luke, Kara, Laura, Katie and Andrew Jensen, Mark Bond, and Jackie and Jessica Jensen. Four great-granddaughters, Makenzie, Makayla, Madison, and Maren. His brothers Dale of Elk Run and Richard (Barb) of Gilbertville. Sisters Jean (Bernie) Jensen, Hudson and Maxine Beck, Hudson.
He was preceded by his wife and two brothers James Jensen and Max Jensen.

Donald A. Johnson
Donald A. Johnson, 73, of 3523 Monticello Ave., passed away Friday, Dec 26 at Allen Memorial Hospital due to complications from a fall.
Don was born Nov. 15, 1930 in Des Moines, Iowa, son of Karl Alvar and Esther Johansen Johnson. He married Doris Elings in 1952. They had four children, Craig, Rhonda, Paula and Susan. After divorce, he married Wilma Hennick on July 23, 1977.
Don graduated from Des Moines East High School in 1949. He served his country in the Navy during the Korean War. He retired after working at U.S. West for almost 40 years.
Don lived his faith through his selfless service to his community, to his church and especially to his family. He was Dad, Grandpa, and good friend to so many and his untimely death is a profound loss to everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his wife and best friend, Wilma, and by his blended family: Craig Johnson of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Rhonda and Mike Sayles of Swansea, Massachusetts, Paula and Steve Hagenson of Finchford, Iowa, Sue Johnson of Ft. Myers, Florida, Denise and Bob Dunn of Waterloo, Mark Hennick of Waterloo, and Mike and Denise Hennick of Des Moines, by his loving sister’s families of Sandra and Don Hancock, and Mary and Max Lieurance, and by twenty grandchildren and eight great grandchildren who adored him.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Einar Johnson and his sister, Eleanor Vandehaar.

Kathleen M. Karkosh
Kathleen M. (Kathy) Karkosh, 54, of Hudson, IA, died Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at Covenant Medical Center from complications of a lengthy illness. Kathy was born November 7, 1949 in Independence, Iowa, daughter of Robert and Miriam (Orth) Frush. She married Joseph Karkosh Jr. on April 12, 1980 at the American Lutheran Church in Jesup, Iowa.
Kathy graduated from Jesup Community High School in 1968 and later from Wartburg College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art and Music.
She worked as an Assistant at the Grand Junction Recording Studio in Waterloo, IA and was also an organist and Choir Director at St. Timothy's Lutheran Church in Hudson, IA. Kathy was a member of St. Timothy's Lutheran Church and a board member of the Hudson Music Boosters.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Joe; three sons, David, Michael and Steven of Hudson, Iowa; mother, Miriam of Jesup, Iowa; and brother, Randy Frush of Jesup, Iowa.
She is preceded in death by her father and infant brother, Devere.

Doug Kemp
James "Doug" Kemp, 51 of Waterloo, died Friday, December 26, 2003 at Allen Hospital. He was born February 14, 1952, in Troy, Ohio, son of John and Stella (Feger) Kemp. He graduated from Hawkeye Community Colllege.
He married Debbie Bowser in Waterloo on May 13, 1994. Doug worked for John Deere as a skilled tradesman for 23 years as a pattern maker.
He is surivived by hi wife: Debbie Kemp of Waterloo. Two pet companions: Sandy and Jin. Three sisters: Marsha and her husband Earl Ruetter of Akron, OH; Irene and her husband Chuck Glanville of Akron, OH; and Joyce Russell of Boulder, CO. Three brothers: John and his wife Linda Kemp of Brooklyn, NY.; Marvin Kemp of Boulder, CO. and David Kemp of Akron, OH.
Doug is preceded in death by his parents.

Verna Kennedy
Verna Kennedy, 87, of Rosewood Estates died Friday, October 17, 2003 at her home. Verna was born March 28, 1916 in York Township, Fillmore County, Minnesota the daughter of John Joseph and Bertha Christine (Iverson) Kennedy.
Verna attended the Liberty Country School, Graduated from Spring Valley High School, and Graduated from Gates Business College in Waterloo. She worked in what was the Business Office at Iowa State Teacher's College, now the Office of the Controller of the University of Northern Iowa. She retired in 1986 after 45 years of employment.
Verna was a life member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in Cedar Falls. She is survived by many cousins.

Edgar W. Kersenbrock
Edgar W. Kersenbrock, 88, of Waterloo died Wednesday August 4, 2004 at Allen Memorial Hospital. Ed was born March 11, 1916 in Crete Nebraska, the son of August W. And Florence (Campbell) Kersenbrock.
Ed married Mary Catherine (Kay) Kersenbrock January 7, 1943 at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Victor, Iowa. Ed graduated from South High School in Omaha in 1933 and received both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He actively served in the United States Navy during WW II and the Korean Conflict retiring as a Commander in the Naval Reserves in 1972.
Ed is the name sake of Kersenbrock Auditorium at Waterloo West High School where he was Vice Principal from 1954 to 1985. He was also a member of St. Edward Catholic Church.
He was devoted to his family. Respect, education, and honesty were all very important to Ed. He was active in athletics including being named Athlete of the year in 1939 while attending college. He was also the recipient of a gold medal at the Iowa Games for bowling.
Ed is survived by three daughters Sharon Kersenbrock, Sue Schuman, and Sara Kersenbrock all of Waterloo, a sister Carol Keenan of Omaha, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Kay in 2002, his beloved son Stephen Michael in 1996, his parents and his sister Gertrude.

Willard C. (Bill) Kline
Willard C. “Bill” Kline, 88, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at Allen Memorial Hospital. Bill was born November 25, 1916 in Buchanan County, Iowa, the son of William Carl and Helen (Rachuy) Kline. He grew up in Waterloo, attended school here, and graduated from West High School in Waterloo in 1936.
Bill married Suzanne Loesch on March 25, 1946 in Des Moines, after returning from serving in the United States Army in Europe during WWII. Bill learned to be an optician right after high school. He continued as an optician, received additional training, and followed troops close behind the front line in a mobile optical unit while in the army. When he returned to Waterloo, he co-founded Porter and Kline Optical in 1947, which became Kline Optical in 1968. Bill’s three sons followed him in his career choice. He was named Master of Optician by the American Board of Opticianry.
Bill is survived by his wife, Suzanne; three sons, Richard J. Kline of Ashuelot, New Hampshire; Steven G. Kline of Cedar Falls; and William C. Kline and his wife Cindy of Waterloo; seven grandchildren: Carrie (Joel) Snell, Kevin Kline, Rebecca Kline, David (Amanda) Kline, Kristin Kline, Alex Kline and Corbin Wilson of Austin, Texas; and two great-grandchildren, Tristan Snell and Chase Kline.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; and four sisters, Harriett Kline, Lillian Kline, Alice Kline and Dorothy Pichelmann.

Robert W. Klingaman
Robert W. “Bob” Klingaman, 88, of Waterloo died Sunday, August 1, 2004 at Covenant Medical Center. Mr. Klingaman was born April 18, 1916 in Orange Township, Iowa the son of William W. and Mary Ellen (Miller) Klingaman.
Mr. Klingaman graduated from Orange High School in 1934. He attended Iowa State University. Mr. Klingaman married Agnes M. Myers February 8, 1939 in Emmetsburg, Iowa. She died October 4, 1973.
Mr. Klingaman worked as a civilian employee of the Army Corps of Engineers on the ALCAN Highway in Prince Rupert, Canada prior to his enlistment in the United States Marine Corps. He served in the Pacific Theater and participated in the occupation of Sasebo, Japan from September 26, 1945 to November 2, 1945. He later worked as a salesman for Cargill, Inc before retiring in 1970.
Mr. Klingaman is survived by a son Robert W. (Patricia) Klingaman Jr., of Fort Collins, CO; a daughter Mary (Stephen) Deardorff of Lenexa, KS; a daughter Linda Sandoval of Waterloo; a daughter Susan (Larry) Jensen of Dysart; a son John Klingaman of Waterloo; and a son Michael (Marjorie) Klingaman of Tulsa, OK. He is also survived by 14 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, his beloved companion Azella Smith of Waterloo and a sister Marlene Sheronick of Hudson.
Mr. Klingaman is preceded in death by 5 brothers: Carl, Guy, Harold, Charles, and Verl; a sister Doris Bush; a daughter Carol Ann Mokosak, a grandson Chad Sandoval, and son in law Michael Sandoval.

Verna Mae Klink
Verna Mae Klink, 88, a 56 year resident of Hudson, formerly of Marshalltown, died Monday, October 27, 2003 at the Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center of Natural Causes. Verna was born November 10, 1914 in Grinnell, Iowa the daughter of Grant and Elsie (Breiting) Radcliff. She married Robert W. Klink November 9, 1952 in Hudson.
Verna owned "Paintin' Place" in Hudson for many years where she taught many friends to do ceramics and doll making. She received awards at the Mid-West Ceramics Show for her porcelain and ceramic painting. Verna had an extensive collection of antiques and antique dolls. Very social, she was in the Hudson American Legion and Hudson AMVETS Auxiliaries and a member of the Hudson Flower Club. Verna enjoyed camping and fishing at Lake Pepin. She loved being with her two dogs- and she loved life in general.
Verna is survived by her husband Robert, 2 sons Walter Hey and wife Lori of Green Bay, WI; Darrell Hey and wife Norma of Red Wing, MN; a daughter Darlene Stark and husband Duane of Washburn; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Also by 2 brothers Joe Radcliff and wife Betty of Marshalltown and Jim Radcliff and wife Helen of San Diego, CA; 2 sisters: Roberta Allen and special friend Bill of Marshalltown, and Ethel Replogle of Waverly. As well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters Mary and Lois, a brother Max and his wife Winnie.

Darlene F. Klinker
Darlene F. Klinker, 72, of Waterloo, died Thursday, January 15, 2004 at her residence. She was born April 13, 1931 in Waterloo, Iowa, daughter of Christ and Marie Lindberg Pedersen. She graduated as Salutatorian from West High School.
She married Edward E. Klinker on October 11, 1952. He died April 21, 1994. Darlene was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church where she was involved in helping in the kitchen and the quilting circle. She always enjoyed volunteering at Adults Inc..
Darlene is survived by her two sons: Frank and his wife Frances of Wilder, Idaho; Earl and his wife Lynn of Des Moines. Two daughters: Elaine and her husband Bill Hollis of Scott City, MO; Frances and her husband Carl Roberts of Peyton, CO. Five grandchildren: Alicia, Jessica Sara David and Brianna. One great grandson: Raven.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son: Robert Klinker. Brother: Russell Pedersen and sister, Lillian Gordon.

Evelyn B. Klipping
Evelyn B. Klipping, 91, of Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center, died Friday, July 16, 2004 at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes. She was born July 2, 1913 in Forest City, Iowa, the daughter of George and Bertha (Charlson) Kliping.
Evelyn graduated from University of Iowa School of Nursing in 1937 and was a registered nurse at various hospitals. She retired in 1974.
Evelyn is survived by her nephew, Harvey Larson of Milford, IA; nephew, Alfred Klipping of Buffalo Center, IA; niece, Ardith Bredeson of Rake, IA; niece, Mary Hove of Forest City, IA; niece, Ruth Smith of Forest City, IA; nephew, Tom Gorton of Waterloo, IA; niece, Cheryl Dutcher of Rosburg, WA; nephew, Paul Gorton of Eau Claire, WI; nephew, Robert Gorton of Marion, IA; niece, Joan Butler of Omaha, NE; and several great and grea-great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Beatrice Klipping, Pauline Gorton and Genevieve Larson; and two brothers, Paul Klipping and George Klipping Jr.

Katherine E. Knode
Katherine Eugenia Knode, 87, of 3018 Violet Drive died Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at Harlingen Medical Center, Harlingen, Texas from heart failure. Katherine was born October 9, 1916 in Manitoba, Canada the daughter of George and Vivian (Haslem) Frohardt.
Katherine married Lloyd E. Knode June 22, 1941 in Lancaster, Missouri. She grew up in Atkinson, Nebraska, graduated from high school there, and received her RN degree in Omaha in 1938. She worked at Allen Memorial Hospital from 1938 until leaving in 1964 when she was head nurse of the nursery. She then worked at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines from 1964 to 1969. Lloyd and Katherine then owned drive in theaters in several towns. They lived in Corydon and owned the 2 and 65 Drive In in Humiston, they owned the Frontier Drive in Bethany, Missouri, and the Town and Country Drive In in Centerville until retiring in 1994. Since then, they lived in Waterloo and spent winters in the south.
Katherine is survived by her husband; 3 daughters: Sharree Trout and her husband Marlyn of Ash Grove, MO; Joyce Warren and her husband Ron of Waterloo; Paula Mills and her husband Don of Adel, Iowa; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren: Pamela Stufflebeem of Des Moines and her son Dennis; Darla Trout of Merrit Island, FL; Jeffrey (Maria) Mills of Des Moines and their children Drae and Jacqueline; Lynn (Dane) Roaseau of Ash Grove, MO and their daughters Elizabeth and Kymberly; Lisa (Adam) Boege of Reinbeck and their daughter Katelyn; and a sister Eileen Vasicek of Puyallup, Washington. She is preceded in death by her parents and a twin brother Kenneth Frohardt of Connecticut.

Lloyd E. Knode
Lloyd. E. Knode, 85, of Waterloo, Iowa died Tuesday, June 8, 2004 at Rosewood Estates in Waterloo. He was born July 18, 1918 in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Clifford L. and Winefred Mae (Hedgecock) Knode. Lloyd married Katherine Frohardt June 22, 1941 in Lancaster, Missouri. She died February 3, 2004.
Lloyd graduated from Waterloo's West High School in 1937. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and also in the US Navy during the Korean War. Lloyd and Kay returned to Waterloo with two daughters, Sharree and Joyce who were born in Texas in 1943 and 1945. Paula was born in 1947 while the family lived in Evansdale. The family lived in Waterloo until 1964 when he and Kay moved to Des Moines. During Lloyd's life in Waterloo, he worked for the Railway Express and managed the Sky View Drive-In Theater. While in Des Moines, he managed the SE14th Drive-In Theater, moving to Corydon, IA in 1969 where they owned the 2 and 65 Drive-In Theater, then moving in 1972 to Bethany, MO where they owned the Frontier Drive -In Theater. Relocating in 1974 to Centerville, IA they owned the Town and Country Drive-In Theater. In 1994 they moved back to Waterloo, Iowa and spent their winters in the south. He was a member of AmVets, Masonic Lodge, Shrine, and Black Hawk County Sheriff's Reserve. Lloyd's passion was traveling, especially to Mexico and visiting family throughout the country.
Lloyd is survived by 3 daughters: Sharree Trout and her husband Marlyn of Ash Grove, MO; Joyce Warren and her husband Ron of Waterloo; Paula Mills and her husband Don of Adel, Iowa; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren: Pamela Stufflebeem of Des Moines and her son Dennis; Darla Trout of Merrit Island, FL; Jeffrey (Maria) Mills of Des Moines and their children Drae and Jacqueline; Lynn (Dane) Roaseau of Ash Grove, MO and their daughters Elizabeth and Kymberly; Lisa (Adam) Boege of Reinbeck and their daughter Katelyn.
Lloyd is preceded in death by his wife, parents and sister, Dorothy Bemisdarfer.

Howard W. Koger
Howard W. Koger, 68, of Denver, IA; formerly of Waterloo, died on Sunday, February 20, 2005, at the VA Hospital in Iowa City. He was born on June 24, 1936, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of James G. and Margaret (Bennett) Koger. He married Barbara Otterman in 1960, in Waterloo. They were later divorced. He married Sharon Amundson in 1974, in Waterloo. They were later divorced.
Howard worked for the Illinois Central and Chicago Central Railroads, retiring in 1988. He served in the United States Army.
He is survived by a son, James (Cindy) Koger of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Teresa (John) Lundak of Waterloo; a son, Steven James (Kendra) Koger of Waterloo; a son, Cory Allen Koger of Cedar Falls; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Kenneth Koger of Arizona.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gerald and Richard; sister, Mildred B. Koger; and special friend, Evelyn Klenski.

Jeanette F. Kolthoff
Jeanette F. Kolthoff, 84, of Waterloo died Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at her home of cancer. Jeanette was born May 7, 1919 in Grundy County, Iowa the daughter of Hans and Nellie (Fredeciksen) Lehman.
Jeanette married Paul J. Kolthoff August 24, 1939 in Fredsville, Iowa. He died September 24, 2994. She worked as a staff member in the control center with the YWCA in Waterloo for 17 years retiring in 1985.
In her free time Jeanette enjoyed swimming and taking water aerobics classes at the YWCA. She also enjoyed walking with her best friend. Jeanette was also known for her sense of humor and her watch dog that didn't have to go outside or beg for food.
Jeanette is survived by a son Shawn of Waterloo; a grandson Jon; and a sister Myrna White of Cedar Falls. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother Virgil Lehman.

Karen Kay Kono
Karen Kono, 64, of 140 Prospect Blvd., died Wednesday, December 3, 2003, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home.
Karen was born March 10, 1939, in Des Moines, Iowa, daughter of Carl and Irene O. (Ehrich) Sawyer. She graduated from West High School and worked for 14 years at John Deere in production/parts scheduler. Karen married William Kono and they were later divorced.
Karen was a caring and loving person. She loved animals, had shown horses, cared for greyhounds, and loved her pets.
Karen is survived by her step son Timothy Kono of Waterloo; step daughter Raquel Mann of Osceola, step daughter Michelle Rottinghause of Waterloo, seven step grandchildren, and step sister Patti Galesky of Knoxville, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents..

Cathy L. (Lockey) Kresser
Cathy L. (Lockey) Kresser, 56, of Peoria, Arizona, formerly of Waterloo, Iowa, died Monday, July 12, 2004 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home from pancreatic cancer. She was born on April 12, 1948 in Iowa City, IA, the daughter of Lawton G. and Madeline (Hoofnagle) Lockey.
Cathy attended West High School in Waterloo and graduated from there in 1966. She married Craig Kresser in 1998. They were later divorced.
Cathy is survived by her parents, Lawton and Madeline Lockey of Waterloo; brother, Douglas Lockey and his wife Molly, of Rochester, MN; and two nieces, Megan Mikkalson and her husband Matthew, of Mankato, MN, and Brie Anna Wiltsie and her husband Ben, of Minneapolis, MN.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Earl and Esther Lockey and Ella and Lloyd Hoofnagle.

William J. Krizek
William J. "Bill" Krizek, 55, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at Covenant Medical Center. Bill was born August 20, 1947 in Toledo, Iowa the son of Laverne and Albina (Yuska) Krizek. He graduated from West Waterloo High School in 1965 and Gates Business College in 1967.
Bill married Vicki Freeland in 1966. They were later divorced. He married Barb Martin November 28, 1975 in Waterloo. He owned Krizek and Krizek, where he worked as an accountant with his father for 35 years. He was a member of Main Street Waterloo and the Waterloo Exchange Club.
Bill was a devoted family man. He had a love for the outdoors, whether it be fishing, bird watching, feeding squirrels, growing flowers or boating on the Mississippi. Bill also purchased in bulk, because you would never know when extras would come in handy. He enjoyed home improvement projects, including the recently completed kitchen remodel.
Bill is survived by his wife; a daughter Kim Krizek of Cedar Falls; a son
Chris Krizek and his wife Katie of Topeka, Kansas; a daughter Wendy Joseph and her husband Kelly of Sicily, Italy; a son William Krizek Jr. and his wife Shannon of Brunswick, Maine; his parents; a sister Bonnie Hertges and her husband Mike of Waterloo, and a brother John Krizek of Waterloo.

Edythe J. Langdale
Edythe J. Langdale, 83, of 225 W. Ridgeway, died Saturday, August 14, 2004 at Allen Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 26, 1921 in Amburg, Wisconsin, the daughter of Charles and Emma (Adler) Foss. She was raised by the family of Albert and Anna Diers.
Edythe married Melvin Langdale on October 11, 1940 in Missouri. He died in 1975. Edythe worked for Chamberlain Manufacturing from 1952, until retiring in 1983. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church for over fifteen years. Her hobbies included composing poetry and quilting.
Edythe is survived by her four daughters, Carol Reise of Winlock, WA: Melva Eddington and her husband Brian, of Castle Rock, CO: Karen Heineman and her husband Ron, of Brighton, IA: and Patty McDowell and her husband Randy, of Fairfield, IA; sixteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Buster Hesseltine of Washington, IA.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Doris Glasscock; sister, Eva Hesseltine; and brothers, Marvin Foss and Earl Foss.
Friends who wish may direct memorials to the church or to the Allen Memorial Heart Care Center.

Donna M. Lauterbach
Donna M. Lauterbach, 78, of 1925 Westchester Rd. #202, died on Sunday, February 20, 2005, at Allen Memorial Hospital from cancer. She was born on March 19, 1926, in Grundy Center, Iowa, the daughter of Elza and Julia Marie (Himschoot) Boren. Donna moved to Waterloo with her family in 1942 and graduated from East High School in 1944.
Donna married Russell E. Lauterbach on May 26, 1944 in Reinbeck, Iowa.
Family was an important part of her life. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild enjoyed the special love, warmth and support only Donna could express. For many years she and Russ hosted extended family gatherings in their home and memories of those events will always be cherished. Donna and Russ's frequent travels took them to all 50 states and several foreign countries and often included family travel companions and visits to see loved ones.
Donna's generous nature was apparent in the many organizations she was involved with throughout the years. She was active in Chapter BT of TTT, a member of the Waterloo Women's Club, and an active member of the First Congregational Church of Waterloo where she participated in a variety of service and outreach activities.
Donna is survived by her husband, Russell; a daughter, Karen Williams and her husband John of Evanston, Illinois; a son, Gordon Lauterbach and his wife Beth of Waterloo; four granddaughters, Anissa Jordan and her husband Will of Macon, Georgia; Emily Williams of Farmingdale, New York; Sarah Lauterbach of Waterloo; Erinn Lauterbach of Waterloo; one great-grandson, Evan Jordan; and a sister, Frances Pates of Rosemount, Minnesota.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Gerald Boren, Laverne Boren, and Wayland Boren; and two sisters, Vivian Clark and Geraldine Hargis.
