Serafin "Pete" Pita
Of Armer Road, Rock City Falls, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2007 at his home. Born in La Piedra, La Coruna, Spain, March 2, 1921, he was the son of the late Philip and Carmen Pita. Mr. Pita came to the United States in 1928. He later chose to settle in Rock City Falls, because La Piedra means “The Rock” in Spanish. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corp, which built state parks and campgrounds in the late 30’s and early 40’s. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was an active member and served in many offices of UE and IUE Local 301. Mr. Pita was a family man and enjoyed reading and history. His greatest joy was being behind the wheel of his car taking rides, whether they be long or short.
He was predeceased by his wife Caroline Pita. He is survived by his 3 sons Philip Pita and his wife Allison of Rock City Falls, Joseph Pita of Rock City Falls and Charlie and his wife Michelle Pita of Middle Grove;
3 granddaughters Diana, Layla and Sarah Pita; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10am Wednesday at Armer Funeral Home, Inc, 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. Burial will follow in Rock City Falls Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Milton Eagles, PO Box 25, Rock City Falls, NY 12863.

Timothy A. Wojtowecz
Formerly of Ballston Spa, passed away August 5, 2007 in Woodbine, Georgia. Born October 6, 1960 in Ballston Spa, he was the son of Reita and the late Walter Wojtowecz. Tim grew up in Ballston and attended Ballston Spa High School. He worked as a union laborer and later joined the IUOE Local 106 operators union. He went on to work for John Carlo Construction in Jacksonville, FL.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his three children, Jessica, Shane and Kayla Wojtowecz of Charlton; Three sisters, Carol Buckley of Zellwood, FL, Bonnie and her husband Wil Cornelius of Canastota, NY and Jeanne and her husband Ken Honadel of Woodbine, GA; three brothers, Gary and his wife Laura Wojtowecz of Ballston Spa, NY, W. Michael and his wife Daphne Wojtowecz of Ballston Spa, NY and Ronald and his wife Lisa Wojtowecz of Rock City Falls, NY.
A graveside service will be held 11am Saturday, August 11, 2007 at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ballston Spa. There will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to Ron & Lisa’s home, 1281 Armer Road, Rock City Falls, immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to defray funeral expenses. Any additional contributions will be donated in memory of Timothy Wojtowecz to Hospice.

Douglas S. Brown
Of Park Avenue, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at Glens Falls Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, December 27, 1955, he was the son of Malcolm and Florence Brown. Douglas was an artist and worked with stained glass and oil paints. He also was a musician and wrote poetry. He enjoyed carpentry.
He is survived by his parents Malcolm and Florence Brown of Hadley; brother Timothy Brown of Wilmington, North Carolina; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A graveside service will be held 2pm Wednesday, August 8, at Briggs Cemetery, Brookline Road, Ballston Spa. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church of Lake Luzerne, Lake Luzerne, NY 12846.

Mary J. Bond
Of Rock City Road, passed away Monday, July 30, 2007 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Schenectady, August 13, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Mary Robare Williams. Mary worked for CHP in Schenectady for several years. She enjoyed camping and bowling. Her greatest joy was weekend cookouts with her family.
She was predeceased by 2 brothers Carl and Johnny Williams. She is survived by her husband of 47 years Raymond B. Bond; 2 daughters Sharon Winner of Mariaville and Marsha Dunn of Schenectady; 4 sons Raymond J. Bond of Ballston Spa, Michael (Peggy) Bond of Schenectady, Robert (Linda) Blake of Ballston Spa and Kenneth Bond of Ballston Spa; 22 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10am Thursday at Armer Funeral Home, Inc, 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. Burial will follow at the Gerald B H Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Road, Town of Saratoga. A calling hour will precede the service from 9-10am Thursday at the funeral home. David D. Simmons
Of Old State Road, passed away Friday, July 27, 2007 at Saratoga Hospital. Born in Schenectady, April 3, 1939, he was the son of Helen Miller and the late Donald B. Simmons, Sr. David served in the Air National Guard for 30 years, retiring as Master Sergeant in 1994. After retiring, he was a courier for Royal Care and Apple Pharmacy in Malta. He was a member of the American Legion and Eagles Arerie 2586. He enjoyed baseball and golf and was a member of the Old Timers Softball League.
He is survived by his loving companion Gail Cooper; 4 children Kimberly Jurcsak, Michael Simmons, Corey Simmons and Stacey Simmons all of Ballston Spa; his mother Helen Miller of Florida; brother Donald Simmons Jr of St Petersburg, Florida; sister Donna Proper of Port Charlotte, Florida; 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 7pm, Friday, August 3 at Armer Funeral Home, Inc, 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Road, Loudonville, NY 12211.

Kelly Smaldone
On Monday, July 16, 2007 the angels called Kelly home, at the age of 39, after a courageous battle with cancer. Kelly resided in South Carolina with her longtime companion Allen DeBose.
Kelly is survived by her mother Beverley (Frank) Flinton, her father Robert (Roberta) Smaldone, daughter Jessica (Lester) McNair all of Ballston Spa; brother Robert Smaldone of Stockton, California; sister Kandee Jones and her companion Mack Lane; two nephews Scott and Dylan Jones all of Galway. Kelly is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Lawrence R. Hall
Of Hawkeye Drive, Ballston Spa, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2007 at Saratoga Hospital. Born in Eagle Bridge, October 18, 1922, he was the son of the late Adelbert and Anna Hall. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He worked for the West Virginia Pulp and Paper in Mechancville for many years. He later moved to Ballston Spa and was a corrections officer for Saratoga County. Larry was a member and past commander of VFW Post 358 in Ballston Spa. He was a musician and enjoyed western music. He played and sang in many bands. He loved to square dance.
He was predeceased by his wife Jennie Hall. He is survived by 3 stepchildren Donald Saunders of Latham, Beecher Saunders of Saratoga Springs and Audrey O’Connor of Greenfield; and his companion Frances Croyle of Hoosick Falls.
Funeral services will be held 10am Thursday at Armer Funeral Home, Inc, 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. Burial with full military honors will follow at the Gerald B H Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Road, Town of Saratoga. Mary D. Beckwith
Formerly of Ballston Spa, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2007 in Arizona. Born in Bidderford, Maine, March 8, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Germaine Armstrong. She lived in Ballston Spa for many years and moved to Yuma, Arizona in 1988. Mary worked for General Electric Co in Schenectady for 20 years, retiring in 1986. She enjoyed playing BINGO and crocheting.
She was predeceased by her husband John Beckwith and her son John Beckwith. She is survived by her children Germaine (Ted) Woltman of Yuma, Arizona, Douglas (Eileen) Beckwith of Ballston Spa and Janice (Bob) Nolan of Ballston Spa; daughter in law Janet Beckwith of Long Island; brother Albert (Laura) Armstrong of Ballston Spa; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Mary M. Desadora
Of Saratoga Avenue, Ballston Spa, passed away Friday, July 20, 2007. Born in Saratoga Springs, October 7, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Gertrude Dominick and a lifelong resident of Ballston Spa. Mary was a homemaker and for many years enjoyed helping at her son’s restaurant, Leo’s Diner. She was member of St Mary’s Catholic Church in Ballston Spa.
She was predeceased by her husband William Desadora; her son Leo Desadora; her grandson Harry (Bosey) Peartree III and her great grandson Tommy Sharp, Jr. She is survived by her daughters Mena Ravena (John) of Mount Laurel, NJ; Gertrude DeChants of Ballston Spa; Clara Peartree (Harry) of Ballston Spa; Rosemarie Quade of Latham; Joan Desadora of Saratoga Springs and Gloria Polacko of Amsterdam. She is also survived by her daughter in law Nancy Desadora of Ballston Spa, 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren.

Mary F. Armer
A lifelong resident of Saratoga Springs, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2007 in Kingston. Born in Fort Edward, February 6, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Flanagan. She was a graduate of Saratoga Springs High School. Mary worked for Espey Manufacturing in Saratoga Springs for many years. She was also office manager for Burns Apartments. She was a member and past president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Saratoga Springs. She was the area coordinator for the Fresh Air Fund and hosted children for many years. She loved to read and enjoyed being by the ocean. Mary was the biggest fan at her grandchildren’s soccer, football and lacrosse games, recitals and school plays.
She was predeceased by her husband Charles Armer, 2 sisters Constance Brown and Margaret Eicher; 3 brothers Frank, Joseph and John Flanagan and her beloved grandson Christopher Boulanger. She is survived by her children Charlynn (Cliff) Tryon of Charlton, Terri DeSorbo (Chris Lasher) of Ridgewood, NJ, Christopher (Kelly) Armer of Ballston Spa and Leonard Armer of Saratoga Springs; 5 grandchildren Karah Vickers, Brienne DeSorbo, Jeff, Jacob and Kaitlyn Armer; 3 step grandchildren Jennifer Tinsmon, Matthew and Chris Tryon; great grandchildren Asher, Isabella and Naomi Tinsmon and Carter Tryon; cousin and friend Margaret Powers; close friend Myrtle Palmer; and many nieces and nephews.

Emma Jane Burgess "Mimi"
Of Rock City Falls, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at her home. Born in Rock City Falls, October 9, 1916, she was the daughter of the late George and Alice Hickok Hudson. Emma worked for many years as a seamstress at the Van Raalte Co Mill in Saratoga Springs. She was a member of the American Legion Post #70 in Saratoga Springs. She enjoyed embroidery and word search puzzles.
She was predeceased by 2 brothers John and Willard Hudson, sister Hazel Corlew, son George B Burgess, Jr and granddaughter Tammy Lynne Priest. Survivors include her daughter Sonja “Skip” Priest of Rock City Falls; 5 grandsons; 2 granddaughters; 11 great granddaughters; 3 great grandsons; 1 great great grandson; 1 great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10am Friday, July 6, at Armer Funeral Home, Inc, 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. Burial will follow in Rock City Falls Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the service from 9-10am Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Emma’s name to the charity of one’s choice.

Tony T. Allen
Of Wilton, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2007 at his home. Born October 12, 1938 in Conklingville, NY, he was the son of the late Orson and Francis Allen. He worked as a courier for Allstar Motors in Saratoga Springs, retiring in 2000. Tony was a member of the Saratoga Springs Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses. He was an outdoors man who loved to fish and hunt, he also enjoyed carpentry, wood working, listening to music and playing his guitar.
He is predeceased by two sisters and three brothers. Survivors include his wife Carole Allen; children, Tony Allen Jr. and his wife Lisa of North Carolina, Kim Hughes and her husband Gary of Ballston Spa, Randy Allen and his wife Elvia of Oklahoma, Christopher Allen of Connecticut, Todd Allen and his wife Lori of Galway and Scott Allen of Meridian, Idaho; Stepchildren, Philip Padgett of Wilton, William “Billy” Little and his companion Sebrina of Ballston Spa and Robert “Bobby” Little and his wife Sandy of Providence; 17 Grandchildren, Sister, Goldie Varney of Sugar Grove, Illinois; and with several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 7pm Friday at the Saratoga Springs Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses, 4299 Route 50, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be in memory of Tony to the Saratoga Springs Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses.

Natale C. Tramontano
Of Ballston Spa, passed away June 30, 2007 at Wesley Health Care Center. Born March 23, 1918 in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late Francis and Salletta Tramontano. Natale served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He later went on to work in maintenance for Grumman Aircraft in Long Island, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the Malta Senior Citizens. He enjoyed bowling and playing card games, especially poker.
He is predeceased by his wife Anna Tramontano. Survivors include his daughter, Annette Stanley and her husband Allen of Ballston Spa; two sons, Thomas Tramontano and his wife Janice of Massachusetts, Francis Tramontano and his wife Ginny of Long Island; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 12noon Saturday at Armer Funeral Home, Inc, 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. Burial will follow in Dunning Street Cemetery in Malta. Calling hours will precede the funeral service from 10am - 12noon at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Natale’s memory to that of one’s choice.

Marion E. Curtis
Formerly of Leahy Lane, Ballston Spa, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2007 at Maplewood Manor. Bornin the Town of Ballston, January 8, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Eva Waite. Marion enjoyed being a homemaker and making crafts. She was an active member of the Ballston Center Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church and loved to cook for church functions. She was also a member of the Ballston Area Seniors.
She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer Curtis and sister, Dorothy Brown. Survivors include her son Bernard Curtis and his wife Deborah of Bardonia; two granddaughters Jennifer Sheret and her husband Jeremiah of Rochester and Heather Russell and her husband Paul of Rochester; a brother, Donald Waite and his wife Janet; a sister Mabel Murtlow and her husband Emerson of Monroe, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11am Monday, July 2 at the Ballston Center Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 58 Charlton Road, Ballston Spa. Burial will follow in Sweetman Cemetery, Charlton. A calling hour will precede the service from 10am to 11am at the church. William R. Cobart
Of Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2007 at Saratoga Hospital. Born in Saratoga Springs, September 26, 1936, he was the son of the late Edward and Ethel Cobart. Bill served in the US Air Force and worked at Maplewood Manor in Ballston Spa.
Survivors include his sister Arlene Delaney of Ballston Spa; brother Earl Cobart of California and several nieces and nephews.

Douglas Fletcher
Passed away, Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at Saratoga Hospital. Born in New Rochelle, he was the son of the late LeRoy and Lydia Fletcher. He worked for NY Telephone and AT&T for 30 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Ballston Spa, and the Saratoga Camp of Gideons International. He was a member and Chaplain of many firematic organizations.
He is survived by his wife, sister, sister in law and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10:30am Monday, at Armer Funeral Home, Inc 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. Burial with full military honors will follow at the Gerald B H Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Road, Town of Saratoga. Carl M. Gooley
Of Thistle Drive, Malta, passed away peacefully, Monday, June 18, 2007 at his home, surrounded by his family, after a long illness. Born in Plattsburgh, January 8, 1938, he was the son of the late Peter and Blanche Gooley. Valedictorian of his high school class at St John’s Academy in Plattsburgh, he received a bachelor’s degree from Clarkson University and a master’s degree from Union College. After serving in the Army, Carl was an environmental engineer for General Electric Co for 38 years, retiring in 1994.
Carl was a member of Corpus Christi Church and sang in their choir. He enjoyed camping and boating in the Adirondacks, especially on Lake George. He was a member of Toastmasters and taught at Fulton Montgomery Community College. He was an avid writer and a published author in his field. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Kathy Crumb; 4 sons Peter (Melissa) Gooley of Hopkinton, MA, Chris (Kathy)Gooley of Hopkinton, MA, Dana Gooley of Providence, RI and Terence (Brenda) Gooley of Bristol, VT; 2 stepdaughters Sandi (George) Kirshe of Saratoga Springs and Robyn Crumb of Ballston Spa; 11 grandchildren Carina, Jessica, Courtney, Patrick, Rachel, George, Henry, Dylan, Schuyler, Kyle and Amanda; brother Ronald (Anna) Gooley of Champlain and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Judy Gooley, brother Claude Gooley and sister Betty Anderson.
Funeral services will be held 9am Friday at Corpus Christi Church, Route 9 at Ushers Road, Round Lake, where a mass of christian burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in the Gerald B H Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Road, Ballston Spa. Thomas W. Adjutant, Sr
Of Route 50, Ballston Spa, lost his battle with cancer on Sunday, June 17, 2007 at his home. Born in North Conway, NH, October 26, 1946, he was the son of the late Edwin and Geneva Adjutant. He was a 1966 graduate of Maple Hill High School in Castleton. He was an army veteran of the Vietnam War. He later served in the Army National Guard for many years. Tom worked at Racemark International for 16 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was proud of his Native American heritage and his Indian name was Tom Two Feathers.
He is survived by his son Thomas W. Adjutant, Jr and his wife Ariel of Longmont, CO; and his daughter Alanya Littlefield and her husband Don of Coxsackie; 3 grandchildren Donovan, Arrianna and Davin Littlefield of Coxsackie; his ex wife and best friend Pinky Adjutant of Ballston Spa; sister Jean Benedict and her husband Vern of Castleton; brother Edwin Adjutant and his wife Frieda of Puerto Rico and many nieces and nephews.

Karen A. Johnson
Formerly of Ballston Spa, passed away Friday, June 15, 2007 in Pawling, NY. Born in Niskayuna, March 21, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Lillian Johnson. Karen worked for the Ballston Journal for many years. She enjoyed crafts and attending craft fairs and flea markets.
She is survived by her son Michael DeFreest; sister Judy Winner of Virginia and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be private. There are no calling hours.

John E. "Jack" Wooton
Of Covered Wagon Court, Ballston Spa, passed away, Thursday, June 14, 2007 at Saratoga Hospital. Born in Schenectady, March 22, 1917, he was the son of the late John and Agnes Geraldine O’Connor Wooton.
Jack graduated from St Columba’s High School in Schenectady. He joined the Schenectady Police Department in 1943. He served in the United States Army where he retained the rank of Sergeant serving on Guadalcanal, the Philippines and Japan with the 221st Military Police. He was honorably discharged in 1946, and returned to duty with the Police Department. He retired as a Sergeant in 1968. He was a member of the NYS Retired Police Association and was a mutual clerk at the Saratoga Equine Sports Center for several years.
He is survived by his wife Irena Denton Wooton; daughter Joan (Joseph) W. Connelly of Salem, SC; Grandson Joseph F. Connelly IV of Burlington, VT; granddaughter Erin (Tim) E. Beynon of Atlanta, GA; 2 great grandsons Shane Danner Beynon and Nathan Joseph Beynon; and a niece Anna M. Baznik of Orlando, FL .

Karen Charbonneau
Of Saratoga Ave, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2007 at Albany Medical Center. Born November 1, 1946 in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Rita Burgess. Karen worked for First Niagara Bank for many years as a bank teller. She loved birds, flowers and gardening, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frances Charbonneau. Survivors include her children, Brian Charbonneau of Ballston Spa, Renee Charbonneau of Galway, Jason Charbonneau of Stillwater, Aaron Charbonneau of Ballston Spa, and Joshua Charbonneau of Ballston Spa; Grandson, Nathan Charbonneau of Ballston Spa; a brother Peter Burgess of Stillwater; two sisters Paula Burgess of Malta, Michele Homicz and her husband Bruce of South Glens Falls; niece Meagan Marshall of Glens Falls; two nephews, Noah Charbonneau of Queensbury and Seth Charbonneau of Saratoga Springs and very special friends Karole Ferguson and Jane Taylor.
A memorial service will be held 11am Tuesday, June 19 at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Rd, Town of Saratoga. Relatives and friends are invited to meet at the cemetery at 10:45am. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions in Karen’s memory be made to Polycystic Kidney Foundation, 9221 Ward Parkway, Suite 400, Kansas City, MO 64114 or American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd, Loudonville, NY 12211.

Betty M. Galusha
Of Galway Road, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Schenectady, January 16, 1939, she was the daughter of Floyd Merrihew and Alice Peters. She was a quality control inspector at the Kesselring Site in West Milton retiring in 1997. Betty took great comfort in her faith in the Lord and enjoyed attending church. She always gave more to life then she took. She enjoyed natures beauty, birds, flowers and camping. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and taking vacations to Hawaii.
She was predeceased by her mother Alice Peters. Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years, Earl Galusha; son Theodore Galusha and his wife Robin of Warrensburg and daughter Theresa Griffen and her husband Shawn of Ballston Spa; 4 grandchildren, Crystal Wilson of Maryland, Cynthia Jones of Ballston Spa, William Hart, Jr. of Ballston Spa, Sarah Galusha of Saratoga Springs; and 21 Great Grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 7pm Friday, June 15 at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. A calling hour will precede the service from 6-7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty’s memory to The Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. Betty’s family would like to thank the friends and staff of Community Hospice of Saratoga for all of the loving support they have provided her.

Robert C. Warren, Jr
Of South Street, Ballston Spa, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2007 at his home. Born in Bristol, Connecticut, May 31, 1942, he was the son of the late Robert C. Warren, Sr and Jane DePalo. Bob worked for CD&L in Albany for many years, retiring in 2005.
He was predeceased by Mike DePalo. He is survived by his wife Justina Warren; 4 children Jeffrey Warren of Virginia, Alana Cooley of Massachusetts, Eric (Stacie) Leng of Louisiana and Scott (Tonya) Leng of Ballston Spa; 2 brothers David Warren of Maine and Jody Warren of Ballston Spa; 3 sisters Patty Warren of Connecticut, Linda Warren of Connecticut and Robin Warren of West Virginia; stepsister Barbara DePalo of Connecticut and stepbrother Thomas (Jan) DePalo of Connecticut; 15 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association 440 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205.

George R. Nowhitney
Of Edinburg and Belleview, Florida, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2007 at Saratoga Hospital. Born October 8, 1935, he was the son of the late Albert and Verna Nowhitney. He was a 1955 graduate of Ballston Spa High School . He served in the United States Army from 1956-61.George worked for General Electric in Schenectady for many years, retiring in 1991. He spent the winter months in Belleview, Florida.
He was predeceased by Trudy Englemier and several nephews. His is survived by his children Terry (Serena) Nowhitney of Ballston Spa and Vicki (Bob) Davis of East Nassau; 3 grandchildren Chelsea, Ashley and Carly; brother Albert “Sonny” (Joan) Nowhitney, Jr of Ballston Spa; 3 sisters Mary Pastore of Ballston Spa, Verna (Marshall) Heritage of Ballston Spa and Ruth (Bob) Barss of Greenfield; his sweetheart of 24 years Ginger Jenkins and her children Carrie Jenkins of Corinth, Dan (Donna) Jenkins of Maine, Keith (Crystal) Jenkins of Mayfield and Penny (Luis) Torres of Texas and grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10am Friday at Armer Funeral Home, Inc 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Gerald B H Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 4-8pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Center at Saratoga Hospital c/o Saratoga Care Foundation 211 Church Street Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. The family would like to thank the staff at Saratoga Hospital for their care and compassion.
