Robert E. Sorenson
Funeral services for Robert E. Sorenson (Bob), 73, Blaine, took place March 13 at Gearhart Coon Rapids Funeral Chapel. Pastor Howard Skulstad officiated.
Garrick died March 10 in Coon Rapids. He was born September 1, 1926, in Colman, SD, to Hans C. Sorensen and Dora B. Dyce. He was married to Bonnie L. Crichton, and was a truck driver.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Bonnie; daughters and son-in-law, Cheryl and Greg and Gail; son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Glenns; grandchildren, Jessica, Jeremy, Michelle, Mitchell, Matthew, Melissa, Brianna and Jennifer; and many other friends and relatives.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were made by Gearhart Coon Rapids Funeral Chapel.

James C. White
Funeral services for James C. White, 86, Anoka, took place March 16 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Chapel, Anoka. Rev. Tim Roehl officiated.
White died March 12 at Park River Estates Care Center, Coon Rapids. He was born July 7, 1913, in Dallas, TX, to Arvin and Sarah White. He was married to Dorothy Mae Hopkins. James was a retired meat cutter for grocery stores.
He is survived by his daughter, Joanne Sullivan of Coon Rapids, two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, and son, Robert.
Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were made by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Steve Milakovich
Memorial services for Steve Milakovich, 84, of Coon Rapids, formerly of Duluth, took place Sept. 11 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids.
Milakovich died Sept. 4 at Mercy Hospital. He was born July 8, 1914 in Ironwood, Mich. He was a retired machinist from the Diamond Tool and Horseshoe Company in Duluth. He was a member of the Epiphany Knights of Columbus, Epiphany Pines Resident Club, and AARP.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth of Coon Rapids; daughters, Judy and husband David Winans, Linda and husband Roger Thorsvik, both of Coon Rapids; grandchildren, Kim Marie and husband Arthur Pranschke of Minneapolis, Kelly Jo and husband William Hurley of Mounds View, Tina Marie Busam and Justin Roger Thorsvik, both of Coon Rapids; sister, Ann Sikich of Ashland, Wis.; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary, Katie, Rosie, Jennie; and brother, George.
Interment was at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements were by Dougherty Funeral Home, Duluth.

Roger D. Bechhold
Funeral services for Roger D. Bechhold, 58, of Browns Valley, formerly of Anoka, took place Sept. 9 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Michael Paquet officiated.
Bechhold died Sept. 4 in Independence. He was born Feb. 2, 1940 in Haymarsh, N.D., to Leo J. Bechhold and Lorena E. Boucher. He was the owner/operator of RD and V Builders, Inc.
He is survived by his wife, Violet; children, Joann Bouley and husband Marty, Brenda Davis, Julie Lorge and husband Jeff; grandchildren, Eric, Kyle, Andy, Ashley, Kendra and expected grandchild; brother, Richard; and sisters, Linda Holter and Vicki Hart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Lorena; and brother, Gary.
Pallbearers were Marty Bouley, Jeff Lorge, Roger Johnson, Jerry Holter, Richard Bechhold, and Maynard Hoffman.
Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Robert C.S. Wilhelm
Funeral services for Robert C.S. Wilhelm, 60, of Coon Rapids, took place Sept. 11 at Faith Lutheran Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. John Kerr officiated.
Wilhelm died Sept. 7 in Coon Rapids. He was born June 26, 1938 in St. Paul to Henry Wilhelm and Lyla Stargohr. He was a factory supervisor at Honeywell.
He is survived by his wife, Lydia; daughters, Barbara Hayes and husband Keith of East Bethel; son, Jeffrey Wilhelm of Cincinatti, Ohio; and grandson, Andrew Hayes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lyla.
Interment was at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Princeton. Arrangements were by Gearhart Coon Rapids Funeral Chapel.

Helen Newman
Funeral services for Helen Newman, 68, of Columbia Heights, took place Sept. 21 at Olive Branch Lutheran Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Richard Lindeman officiated.
Newman died Sept. 9 in Fridley. She was born Feb. 27, 1930 in Minnesota City. She was a bookkeeper for a chemical company.
She is survived by her brother, George Sanstede and wife Ceil; sisters, Esther Erpelding and husband Gerald, Lorraine Gustafson and husband Erwin, Betty Sulla and husband Emil, Kathy Cutinella and husband Robert, Alice Sanstede; nieces and nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Collin; and brother, John Sanstede.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

Betty M. Bauers
Funeral services for Betty M. Bauers (Elizabeth Patterson), 84, of Anoka, took place Sept. 12 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Dayton. Rev. James H. Remmerswaal officiated.
Bauers died Sept. 8 in Coon Rapids. She was born Oct. 13, 1913 in Lamoure, N.D.
She is survived by her son, Charles Luke and wife Jan; daughter, Donna Bachman and husband Richard; sister, Marvelyn; six step-daughters; three stepsons; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many friends, including dear friend, Josephine “Jo” Dolphin.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Luke and Frank Bauers; son, James Luke; grandson, Timothy Bearl; a brother; and a sister.
Interment was at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

Guido J. Lauterbach
Funeral services for Guido James Lauterbach, 71, of Shell Lake, Wis., took place on Sept. 15 at the Dahl Funeral Home in Spooner, Wis.
Lauterbach died Sept. 11 at his residence. He was born July 21, 1927 in Trego, Wis., to Guido and Hazel Anderson Lauterbach.
He is survived by his children, Robert of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., John of Fridley, and Barbara Johnson of Maple Grove; brother, Richard of Spooner, Wis.; sisters, Shirley Frye of Spooner, Wis., Mary Frye of Mesa, Ariz., Bonnie Pinkerton of Rick Lake, Wis.; fiancee, Irene Helgeson of Shell Lake, Wis.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys; three brothers; and two sisters.
Pallbearers were Danny Brown, Allan Knoepke, Dan Means, Richard Penn, Kevin Pinkerton, Pete Stafford, and Steven Thompson.
Interment was at the Earl Cemetery. Arrangements were by Dahl Funeral Home.

Katherine F. Amar
Funeral services for Katherine F. Amar, 81, of Columbia Heights, took place Sept. 16 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. Bernard Reiser officiated.
Amar died Sept. 11 in St. Anthony. She was born Aug. 16, 1917 in St. Cloud.
She is survived by her stepdaughter, Marilyn Peet and husband Don; grandchildren, Kelly Urista, Jill Saponaro, Donald Peet Jr., Jeanine Arnopoulos; and great-grandchildren, Dane, Jade, Storm, and Jett.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Shafeek.
Interment was at Hillside Cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.

Francis L. Bouley
Funeral services for Francis Lawrence Bouley, 53, of Anoka, took place Sept. 14 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Allan Bouley officiated.
Bouley died Sept. 10 at his residence. He was born July 15, 1945 in Anoka to Richard Bouley and Agnes Payette. He was an auto technician.
He is survived by his sons, William and James; grandson, Nicholas; sisters, Marilyn and husband Leonard Hudak, Sharon and husband Abe Hernandez, Karen and husband Ted Kaden; brothers, Allan Bouley, Charles and wife Pearl Bouley; and many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Gearhart Anoka Funeral Chapel.

Phyllis E. Ranney
Funeral services for Phyllis Eleanor Ranney, 75, of Ramsey, took place Sept 16 at Dare’s Funeral Home, Elk River. Rev. Gene Rick officiated.
Ranney died Sept. 13 at Twin Rivers Care Center, Anoka. She was born May 23, 1923 in Hutchinson to Arthur R. and Vera E. Day Brandt. She was a nurse at Anoka State Hospital.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Folley Sr. of Ramsey, Ernest Folley of Wisconsin, Edward Folley of Anoka; daughters, Ella Mae Folley of Paynesville, Helen Shellito of St. Joseph, Violet Mourk Schwalbe of Glencoe; sisters, Dorothy Lindeman of Glencoe, Helen Moland of Burlingaine, Calif; and brother, Vernon Brandt of Hutchinson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Irving C. Ranney; and Scotty Folley and April Shellito.
Pallbearers were Robert Folley Jr., Melvin and Danny Folley, Charlie Shellito, Shawn Moser, and Kevin Reid.
Interment was at Vernon Cemetery, Elk River. Arrangements were by Dare’s Funeral Home.

Robert E. Hoover
Funeral services for Robert E. Hoover, 67, of Alexandria, formerly of Anoka and Coon Rapids, took place Sept. 15 at Gearhart Anoka Funeral Chapel. Rev. Norm Berg officiated.
Hoover died Sept. 12 at Mercy Hospital. He was born Aug. 30, 1931 in Koskiosco County to Guy Hoover and Pauline Wagman. He was a retired teacher and hydraulic lab manager, and past president of Fluid Power of Minnesota.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; sons and daughters, James E. and wife Joan, Pamela S. Larson and husband Dale, Debra A. Rehbein and husband Steven, Robert A. and wife Jacqueline; grandchildren, Shawn, Jarred D., Eric, Jennifer, Erin, Nicole, Ashley, Phillip, Makayla, Angela, Anneta, Tracy J. (Tanya), Tim, Kari, Tracy, Jared; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Logan; and brothers, John D. and Steven D. Hoover.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Pauline Hoover.
Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Gearhart Anoka Funeral Chapel.

Sharon A. Zaviska
Graveside services for Sharon A. Zaviska, 57, of Coon Rapids, took place Sept. 17 at Morningside Memorial Gardens.
Zaviska died Sept. 12 in Coon Rapids. She was born Jan. 26, 1941 in Glenwood. She worked in electronic assembly.
She is survived by her children, Denise Urbine and husband Steve, Debra and husband Matt, Dale and wife Diane, Lynn Hager, Marla Crowe and husband Duey, Tim; grandchildren, Jamie, Joelle, LeeAnne, Curtis, Cody, Mathew, Stephanie, David, Bradee, Austin; loving friend, Bill Sowden; and sisters, Kady Kuka, Lorraine Skeslien and Betty Atchison.

She is survived by her husband, Randy Thoreson; children, Joshua, Cody and Chelsea; father, Art Brock; mother, Jannie Brock and stepfather Wayne Blesi Jr.; sister, Lorelei Brock; grandparents, Doris and Norman Bernard, Florence Jung; and nephew, Thomas Michael Brock.

She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Boschowitzki.
