Frank R Gubert - (Died February 13, 1999)
FRANKLINTON - Frank R Gubert, 59, died yesterday at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington.
Gubert was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Franklinton He was owner and operator of Louisiana Soil Company in Covington for many years.
Gubert is survived by his wife, Peggy Meyer Gubert of Franklinton; one son, David Gubert of Franklinton; three daughters, Dawn Mizell of Franklinton, Amy Gubert of Jackson, MS, Holly Mohr of Plano, TX; two brothers, Val Gubert, Norbert Gubert both of New Orleans; one sister, Sandra Martin of New Orleans; and seven grandchildren.
There will be no visitation held.
A funeral mass will be held at 10 a m Thursday at the Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Bill Blank officiating.
Burial will be in the Corkern Cemetery.

Eva Blanchard Mulla - (Died February 15, 1999)
BOGALUSA - Eva Blanchard Mulla, 83, died Monday at Bogalusa Community Medical Center.
She was a member of the Annunciation Catholic Church of Bogalusa.
She is survived by a sister, Hazel Rayburn; Husband, B B "60" Rayburn both of Bogalusa; step- daughter, Helen Kerry of Athens, AL; two nieces, Tommie Jean Rayburn, Betty Ann Bedwell both of Bogalusa; nephew, Benny Rayburn of Bogalusa; step-granddaughter, Michelle Beggs of Athens; step-great-granddaughter, Lauren Beggs of Athens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A Charles Mulla.
Visitation was held in the Chapel of Brown McGehee Funeral Home yesterday from 6 p m until 9 p m followed by Virgil Funeral Service and Rosary held at 7 p m.
Funeral mass will be held today at 10 a m at Annunciation Catholic Church in Bogalusa.
Entombment will be in Lakelawn Park Mausoleum today at 1:30 p m.
Father Kevin Clark O S B and Deacon Chuck Hartman will conduct services.

Loyd C Taylor - (Died February 15, 1999)
BOGALUSA - Loyd C Taylor, 85, died Monday at Bogalusa Community Medical Center.
Taylor was a native of Fields, LA and a resident of Bogalusa for 14 years, he was a veteran of World War II and a member of Berry's Creek Pentecostal Church.
Taylor is survived by his wife, Mavis D Williams Taylor; three daughters, Bobbie Lynn Steele of Mandeville, Linda G (Jerry) Singletary of Bogalusa, Jackie R (Charles) Eady of Kinston, NC; three grandchildren, Teresa Lynn Steele, Loyd Dewayne (Barbara) Steele, Larry Dale Steele; one great-granddaughter, Alexis Steele; two brothers, Roy Vernon Taylor of Vidor, TX, Junior Taylor of Houston, TX; one sister, Hazel Taylor Stanley of Kirbyville, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today from 5 p m until 10 p m.
Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home tomorrow at 2 p m with Rev. Willie Pierce officiating, assisted by Rev. Terry Tucker.
Pallbearers will be Emmett L Warner, Blake Warner, Jerry Singletary, Charles Eady, Lamar Byrd, Freddie Rogers, Larry Steele, and Dewayne Steele.
Interment will follow in William Terrell Williams Cemetery at Isabel.

Frank Johnson Thomas - (Died February 16, 1999)
CLIFTON - Frank Johnson Thomas, 86, died yesterday at his residence.
Thomas was a retired carpenter and a member of the Clifton Baptist Church.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bessie Louise Graves Thomas of Clifton; one daughter, Marguerite T Lipani of Clifton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Franklin W (Linda) Thomas of Aliceville AL, Sherman L (Yvonne) Thomas of Clifton; four grandchildren, Lisa L.
Solnik, Tony Kee Thomas, John Lipani, Chris Thomas; one brother, Odis Thomas of Tylertown; five sisters, Bertha Stayner of McComb, MS, Ozzie Hobyard of Tylertown, Elmer Blackwell of Tylertown, Virgie Davis of Sandy Hook, and Lois Thomas of Thomas.
Visitation will be today from 5 p m until 9 p m and tomorrow from 2 until 3:30 p m at Capps Funeral Home in Tylertown, with funeral services to follow and burial at the Tylertown Cemetery Rev. Ed Griffin and Rev. Spiller Milton will be officiating.

Betty Joyce Alford Moak
(Died February 12, 1999)
ORT WALTON BEACH, FLA - Betty Joyce Alford Moak, age 65, died February 12, 1999 She was born and raised in Bogalusa After a military career, she and her husband of 50 years, retired Master Sgt Richard Berwick Moak, bought a home in Mossy Head, FLA, where they lived for the past 13 years.
She is survived by her husband, Richard; her son, Rick, and daughter-in-law, Lynda; her daughter, Dana E Icenhour, and her husband, John "Ike" Icehour ; her daughter, Lisa C Moody; and her grandchildren, Justin Keith, Kevin Jeremy and Megan Melynda Moak She is also survived by her sister, Lennie Mayor of Hammond and Sidney Alford of Lafayette She leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter D and Ruth Alford; sister, Ella Rose Lloyd; brothers, Walter D "Pete" Alford and Stanley Alford; and her beloved grandmother, Rosa Patton.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 11 a m at Emerald Coast Funeral Home Burial service was at Beal Memorial Cemetery in Fort Walton Beach immediately following the services.

Arthur Sharp
(Died February 16, 1999)
COVINGTON - Arthur Sharp, age 83, of Bush, died Tuesday He was a native and life resident of St Tammany.
He is survived by daughters, Maxine S Goings, Alice Pauline Latino, and Christine S.
Youngblood; siblings Delton Sharp, Lela S Jenkins, and Otha Sharp; grandchildren, Ruth T.
Pellegrin, Kenneth Taylor, Lisa T Cook, Jeff and Scott Daniels, and Brent Goings; twelve great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Becky Stogner Sharp; sibling, Eluie S Jenkins; and grandson Gerald Taylor.
Visitation will be held today from 6 p m to 10 p m Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services tomorrow at 11 a m from the chapel of E J Fielding Funeral Home in Covington Interment will be in Sharp Cemetery.

Minnie Abram
(Died February 16, 1999)
ANGIE - Minnie Abram, 80, died Tuesday at Bogalusa Community Medical Center.
Abram is survived by three daughters, Carrie Abram-Thomas, Mildred Davis, Mrs. Le Bertha Abram all of Angie; three sisters, Carrie Sheridan Lewis, Lillia (Early) Morris, Jesse Mae Sheridan-Anderson, all of Varnado; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, four great, great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Abram was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be held at Cook-Richmond Funeral Home, today from 2 p m until 5 p m Wake service will be at Live Oak United Methodist Church from 7 p m until 9 p m.
Funeral service is tomorrow at 11 a m at the church Rev. Bruce Brown Sr will be officiating.
Burial will be at Live Oak Cemetery in Angie.

Allen L Bernard
(Died February 17, 1999)
BUSH - Allen L Bernard, 59, a native of Hammond and a life resident of Bush, died Wednesday.
Bernard is survived by his wife, Bernice Blackburn Bernard; two stepchildren, Steven Seal, Leslie Nicholson; mother, Lillie Thompson Bernard; three step grandchildren.
Bernard was preceded in death by his father, James Bernard.
Visitation will be held tomorrow from 9 a m until service time.
Memorial services will be tomorrow following visitation at 11 a m from the chapel of E J.
Fielding Funeral Home in Covington.

Laveda Bush
(Died February 16, 1999)
ISABEL - Laveda Bush, 66, died Tuesday at Bogalusa Medical Center.
Bush was a former member of Isabel Baptist Church.
Bush is survived by one son, Arron Bush of Oklahoma City, OK; four brothers, Charles Lott, Marion Lott both of Sun, Gerald Lott of Isabel, David Graves of Rio; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at the Reveire Cemetery in Isabel tomorrow at 11 a m Rev. Ed Jenkins and Butch Reveire will be officiating

Winnie Norred Ebey
(Died February 18, 1999)
HOLDEN, LA - Winnie Norred Ebey, age 58, a resident of Bogalusa, died today.
She is survived by her daughters, Margaret (Barry) Perrin of Ponchatoula, Tonya (Allen) LeBlanc of Bogalusa, Wendy (Bill) Nielsen of Bogalusa and Dana (Joe) Accardo of Tickfaw; brothers, Bruce Norred of Holden; grandchildren, Ashley and Brooke Perrin of Ponchatoula, Allie LeBlanc of Bogalusa, Sarah and Sadie Nielsen of Bogalusa, and Samuel and Caleb Accardo of Tickfaw; and great-grandchild Abigail Grayson Allen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Doris Norred of Holden and brother, Delmas Norred of Holden.
Visitation will be held at Harry McNeely Funeral Home in Hammond The funeral services will be held at James Chapel in Holden Burial will be at James Chapel Cemetery.

Winnie Norred Ebey
(Died February 18, 1999)
BOGALUSA - Winnie Norred Ebey, 58, died yesterday.
Ebey is survived by four daughters, Margaret (Barry) Perrin of Ponchatoula, Tonya (Allen) LeBlanc, Wendy (Bill) Nielson both of Bogalusa, Dana (Joe) Accardo of Tickfaw; one brother, Bruce Norred of Holden; seven grandchildren, Ashley & Brooke Perrin both of Ponchatoula, Allie LeBlanc, Sarah & Sadie all of Bogalusa, Samuel & Caleb Accordo both of Tickfaw; one great-grandchild, Abigail Grayson Allen.
Ebey is preceded in death by his parents David & Doris Norred; one brother, Dlemas Norred all of Holden.
Visitation will be held at Harry McNeely Funeral Home in Hammond, today from 6 p m until 10 p m and tomorrow from 8 a m until 11 a m.
Funeral services will be held at James Chapel in Holden, tomorrow at 11:30 a m.
Burial will be at James Chapel Cemetery.

Merle Polk
(Died April 9, 1999)
SHERIDAN - Merle Polk, 63, died last Friday at Slidell Memorial Hospital.
Polk was the owner and manager of Polk's Grocery in Stateline.
Polk is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Gaddy of Franklinton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Kathy Polk of Franklinton and Chris and Torri Polk of Franklinton; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Violet Burr of Pearl River, Mitzi and Phil Hoover of Slidell, Dawn and Carvin Johnston of Franklinton; three sisters, Eloise Knight of Bogalusa, Vera Hughes of Bogalusa and Laverne Hernandez of New Orleans; fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Polk was preceded in death by his parents, R C and Myrtle Polk; two brothers, Robert "Bo" Polk and Earl Polk and one grandchild, Jennie Marie Polk.
Visitation was April 10 from 5 p m to 10 p m and after 8 a m Sunday.
Funeral service was conducted from the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home April 11 at 4 p m with Elder Glynn Erwin, Elder Brent King and Dr Wayne Cook officiating.
Pall bearers were Christopher Knight, Lonnie Williams, Morris Blanco, Ian Burke, Jerod Seals and Dusty McKenzie.
Honorary pall bearers were, Jake Magee, Rastus "Rat" Kennedy, Todd Ledet, Mark Corkern and Eric Pierce.
Interment was in Mt Sinai Church Cemetery in Sheridan.

Adrena Tate
(Died April 10, 1999)
BOGALUSA - Adrena Tate, 77, died Saturday at LSU Washington St Tammany Regional Medical Center in Bogalusa.
Tate was a lifelong resident of Bogalusa and a retired seamstress from Berenson's Department Store Upon her retirement, she continued being a seamstress.
Tate is the daughter of the late Ellis Tate and Mary Conerly Tate She is survived by five children, James (Deborah) Tate of St Louis, MO, Arthur (Ramona) Washington, Jr of Lafayette, Samuel L (Eloise) Tate of Leesville, Mary Ann Doughty of Bogalusa and Susie Mae (Fred) Quillen of Houston, TX; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren; three half sisters, Janice Ladner, Rose Rogers and Sybil Tate; a very special aunt, Mrs. Rosia Tate and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday from 2 p m until 8 p m at Cook Richmond Funeral Home Funeral service will be Saturday at Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church at 11 a m with the Rev.
Raymond Mims officiating.
Interment will be held in Bogalusa Cemetery.

Ruth Way
(Died April 11, 1999)
SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Ruth Way, 80, a former resident of Tylertown, MS, died Sunday.
Way is the daughter of the late Sam A McKenzie and Autimeese Forbes McKenzie She was born on July 30, 1918 in Tylertown She was one of fifteen children Way is survived by her daughter, Ruth Elaine Sorg of Santa Barbara, CA; one son-in-law, Norman E Sorg; five sisters, Ruby Kennedy of Varnado, Waver Nuschler of Thomas, Maxine Martin and Louisa Branch of Tylertown, MS and Lois Skeeters of Santa Maria, CA; three grandchildren, Linda Sorg Hankinson of East Lansing, MI, Robin Sorg of Santa Barbara and Mary Sorg of Lompoc, CA; and two great-grandchildren, Amanda Sorg Rubio and Alexander Leon Belle of Lompoc, CA.
Way was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Way; one son, Harrel Rester; six sisters and three brothers, Mattie Alford, Willie Moore, Minnie Lou Hughes, and Jessie McKenzie of Bogalusa, Hattie Kennedy of State Line, Mecie Kennedy of Flagstaff, AZ, Lillie Mae Sandifer and R J McKenzie of Tylertown, MS and Wilbur McKenzie of Black Creek Canyon, AZ.
Services will be held today in Scottsdale, Arizona.
