FERDINAND, Ind. — Bernadette E. Fromme, 62, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at Scenic Hills Care Center of respiratory failure.
She was a member of the Ferdinand Homemakers Club, American Legion Post 124 Ladies Auxiliary and was a eucharistic minister at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband, Hugo; two daughters, Elaine Robertson of Owensboro, Ky., and Linda Meadows of Columbus, Ohio; four sons, Rick of Dale, Randy of St. Anthony and Jeff and Pat, both of Ferdinand; a sister, Marie Hedinger of Ferdinand; and 16 grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 pm. today at Becher Funeral Home, with a parish prayer service at 6 pm. followed by memorial services.

Jaclyn Donaldson
VINCENNES, Ind. — Jaclyn G. (Kohlhouse) Donaldson, 20, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at the Greene County Hospital of injuries suffered in an automobile accident near Linton.
She was the manager of Dixie Bee Cafe in Vincennes and a member of the Community United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Richard D.; her mother, Barbara Kohlhouse of Vincennes; and three brothers, Garry Jr. and Richard Kohlhouse, both of Vincennes, and Jerry Kohlhouse of Monroe City.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. EST Saturday at Goodwin Funeral Home, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ruth McCormick
DALE, Ind. — Ruth Alta McCormick, 88, formerly of Dale, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at Ohio Pythian Sisters home in Medina, Ohio.
She had been a nurse’s aide and was Protestant.
Surviving are three daughters, Marlene S. Baker of Medina, Nancy A. Hunter of Bradenton, Fla., and Karen L. Nagle of Pensacola, Fla.; a son, Gordon L. of Las Vegas; a sister, Doris Hill of Fulton; 19 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Griffith-Cline Funeral Home in Bradenton, Fla., is handling arrangements.

Lloyd Potter
WASHINGTON, Ind. — Lloyd Ellis Potter, 89, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at Washington Nursing Center.
He retired as a mechanic in the roadhouse at the B&O Railroad shops and he was a member of the WACO Church of Christ.
Surviving are two sons, Richard of Swayzee, Ind., and Lionel of Washington; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Katherine Darlene Adams, and a son, Randall Potter.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. EST today in the New Veale Creek Cemetery.
There will be no visitation at Gill Funeral Home.

Dorothy Wildman
WASHINGTON, Ind. — Dorothy G. Wildman, 90, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at Washington Nursing Center.
She retired as a cook at the Veale Elementary School and was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Taylor of Indianapolis; three sons, Doyle W. and Donald E., both of Washington, and John W. of Pearland, Texas; a sister, Hazel McClellan of Washington; 13 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Richard Harold “Red,” died in 1988.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. EST Saturday at Gill Funeral Home, with burial in Bethel Cemetery.

Othmar Heeke
JASPER, Ind. — Othmar A. Heeke, 82, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
He had been an assistant manager at the Knights of Columbus in Jasper.
He was a World War II veteran, serving in the European Theatre, and fought at the Battle of the Bulge.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 673, American Legion Post 147 and Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are two daughters, Jan Cloyd of Greenwood and Alana Jennings of McAlester, Okla.; a son, Verl of Houston; two brothers, Robert of Aurora and Ralph of Connersville; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandhildren.
His wife, Marie, and a son, Randy, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. EST Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, with military rites.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Becher & Kluesner Downtown Chapel, with prayer service at 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church or St. Vincent DePaul Food Bank.

Etta Johnson
HENDERSON, Ky. — Etta M. Woolfolk Johnson, 64, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, at Methodist Hospital of heart failure.
She was a graduate of Douglas High School and a member of the Corydon Church of God in Christ.
Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Roy; a son, Bruce of Manhattan, N.Y.; a sister, Ida Woolfolk Thomas of Henderson; five brothers, James A. Woolfolk of Louisville, Early Otis Woolfolk of Chicago, Elder Prince W. Woolfolk of Henderson, David Woolfolk of Decatur, Ga., and Bobby A. Woolfolk of Irvin, Texas; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Sheepshed Christian Fellowship Center in Corydon, with burial in Fernwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Mason Bros. Audubon Chapel and from 1 p.m. to service time at the church.

George Everly
HENDERSON, Ky. — George W. Everly, 75, of Niagara, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville of heart failure.
He retired as a welder from Banner Truck and Trailer and was a World War II Army veteran.
He was a member of the Niagara Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Nadine; a daughter, Lena Clement of Henderson; a son, David of Georgetown, Ky.; brother, Darrell of Central City; three grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; a great-grandchild; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home, with burial in Fairmont Cemetery.

Terry Loney
HENDERSON, Ky. — Terry Beth “Kizzy” Loney, 42, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at her home. Cause of death is pending autopsy results.
She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.
Surviving are her son, William David Murchison of Henderson; her parents, Rex and Linda Loney of Henderson; two sisters, Rexanne Loney Fraizer of Kevil and Candy Sue Loney of Louisville; five brothers, Rocky Joe Loney of Greenville, Ill., Edward Wayne and James Chester Loney, both of Louisville, Christopher Brian Loney of Kevil and Phillip Loney of Versailles; her grandmother, Lena Loney; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, with burial in St. Louis Cemetery.

James Girten
MORGANFIELD, Ky. — James D. “J.D.” Girten, 80, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at his home.
He was a school bus driver for 37 years and a member of St. Ann Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife, Elanor; two daughters, Carolyn Ann Phillips and Pamela Faye Hensen, both of St. Louis; a son, Larry of Henderson; three sisters, Evelyn Buckman and Pauline Moore, both of Morganfield, and Lucille Walker of Henderson; grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., and from 8 a.m. to service time at time at Whitsell Funeral Home.

Byrd Deering
SEBREE, Ky. — Byrd Oglesby Deering, 91, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at Colonial Terrace Nursing Home.
She was a member of Shady Grove General Baptist Church in Poole and the Eastern Star.
Surviving are nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Kenneth C. Kemp Deering, died in 1983.
Arrangements were handled by Tompkins Funeral Home Sebree-Poole Chapel, burial was in Springdale Cemetery.

George Hodge
MARION, Ky. — George L. Hodge, 70, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at Crittenden County Hospital of heart failure.
He was a member of the St. William Catholic Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Ann Hodge of Marion; three sons, Morris, Howard and Michael, all of Marion; two brothers, Don and Sam, both of Marion; a sister, Mary Wicker of Marion; and nine grandchildren.
His wife, Alice, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at St. William Catholic Church, with burial in the church Cemetery.

Helen Hurt
henderson — Helen Jane Parker Hurt, 51, of Henderson, died Wednesday Feb. 23, 2000, at her home.
She was a member of the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband, Tom; two daughters, Jennifer and Jamie Parker, both of Henderson; a sister, Mary Anne Williams of Henderson; six brothers, J.D., Robert, Billy Joe and Birdie Vowels, all of Henderson, Marty Vowels of North Chelmsford, Mass., and David Vowels of Owensboro; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 pm. Saturday at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Ruby Harrison
CALHOUN, Ky. — Ruby Jane Harrison, 73, formerly of Calhoun, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at the Bedford Medical Center.
She retired as a nurse’s aide from Westview Manor Health Care Center.
She attended the Calhoun United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son, Johnny Duncan of Bedford, Ind.; three sisters, Dorothy Claypool of Louisville, Dorothy Lindsey of Spottsville and Linda Ryan of Grandview, Ind.; two brothers, Weldon Mauzy of Owensboro and Nathaniel Mauzy of Washington, D.C.; a grandchild; and five great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Lonzo, died in 1952.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Muster Funeral Home Calhoun Chapel, with burial in Free Union Cemetery in Sacramento.

Bryon Egbert
PRINCETON, Ky. — Bryon, Durwood Egbert, 58, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, at Western Baptist Hospital.
He was a salesman for the Cole Lumber Co.
Surviving are a daughter, Sussann Lovett of Murray; his mother, Mary Wheeler Egbert of Princeton; three brothers, Don of Dawson Springs, Jim of Murray and Ralph of Lexington; and his fiancee, Emma Payne.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Morgan’s Funeral Home, with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

William McCally
HENDERSON, Ky. — William E. McCally, 77, of Henderson, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Louisville of heart failure.
He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and was a prisoner of war for two years in Stalag 17. He participated in the Berlin Airlift, was a Vietnam War veteran and the recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross, Purple Heart and six Oak Leaf Cluster.
Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Patsy; a daughter, Kimberly McCally of Tucson, Ariz.; a stepson, Stephen Brown of New York; a brother, Tom of Toledo, Ohio; and a grandson, Marshall Brown.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the St. Anthony’s Hospice.

Edward Mendyk
MADISONVILLE, Ky. — Edward Andrew Mendyk, 84, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at his home.
He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and a member of the Hopkins County Republican Party.
Surviving are a son, Lowell of Madisonville; three sisters, Henrietta Spotti of Mesa, Ariz., Anastasia Napier of Lindsey, Ill., and Alice Carson of La Junta, Colo.; and two grandchildren, Chris and Alisa Mendyk.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home, with burial pending. There will be no visitation.

Lillian Cheatam
SEBREE, Ky. — Lillian Cheatam, 86, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at Colonial Terrace Nursing Home.
She retired as a nurse’s aide and was a member of the First Christian Church in Henderson.
Surviving are nieces and nephews including Shirley Cheatam of Beech Grove, who cared for her.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Fernwood Cemetery in Henderson. Muster Funeral Home Calhoun Chapel is handling arrangements.

Roy Schurr
CISNE, Ill. — Roy L. Schurr, 92, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.
He had owned Schurr’s Machine Shop at Enterprise and was a member of the First Christian Church in Flora.
Surviving are a daughter, Joan Barnes of Cisne; a brother, Jack of Whiting, Ind.; and two grandchildren, Lee Ann and Vincent Samford.
Services will be at 3 p.m., Saturday at Hosselton Funeral Home, with burial in Cisne Cemetery.

Beulah Lamb
FLAT ROCK, Ill. — Beulah F. Lamb, 78, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at Crawford County Convalescent Center.
She had worked at L.S. Heath in Robinson and was a member of the Royal Neighbors.
Surviving are a son, Jerry of Flat Rock; four sisters, Lois Dix of Hutsonville, Norma Melton of Marshall, Dorothy Wesner and Betty Enlow, both of Flat Rock; three grandchildren, Brian Lamb, Beth Dart and Janet Meeks; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A son, Clarence Lamb, and a daughter, Francine Lamb, preceded her in death.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at Jones Cemetery.

Naomi Johnson
CARMI, Ill. — Naomi Johnson, 98, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at Wabash Christian Retirement Center.
She had been a seamstress for the Ainsbrooke Corp.
She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and the oldest member of the Emanuel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a sister, Wilma Walker of Carmi; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Damon, and a son, William C., preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cook Funeral Chapel, with burial in Maple Ridge Cemetery.

Dale Guyer
HUTSONVILLE, Ill. — Dale Elbert Guyer, 68, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at Skilled Care Unit of Crawford Memorial Hospital of brain cancer.
He owned and operated Guyer Electric Service since 1968, retiring in 1998.
He was a member of Pleasant Grove Friends Meeting, president of Western Yearly Meeting from 1988 through 1994 and the recipient of the Christian Camping International Award in 1982.
He had worked in missions in Kenya and Belize City, Belize.
Surviving are a daughter, Cynthia Fox of Terre Haute, Ind.; two sons, Larry of Syracuse, Ind., and Harold of Robinson; seven grandchildren, Amber Herboso, Andrew, Stephanie, Alex and Christopher Guyer and Jeremy and Daniel Fox; a great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
His wife, Marilyn E., and an infant daughter, Susan Jane Guyer, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m Saturday at Pleasant Grove Friends Meeting in rural Annapolis, with burial in Hutsonville Cemetery.

Robert Campbell
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ill. — Robert E. Campbell, 64, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital.
He had been a farmer.
Surviving are his wife, Maudette (Berg); a daughter, Roberta Campbell of rural Lawrenceville; and two brothers, William O. of rural Lawrenceville and John of Decatur.
A son, Daniel Robert, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Emmons-Macy & Steffey Funeral Home, with burial in lawrenceville City Cemetery.

Harold Jones
ROBINSON, Ill. — Harold E. Jones, 54, died Wednesday Feb. 23, 2000, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis of leukemia.
He retired in 1999 after 20 years with the Marathon Oil Co. in mobile equipment maintenance.
He was a Mason and member of the First Baptist Church.
He was a member of a car club, The Crawford County Collectibles.
Surviving are his wife, Vivian; three daughters, Teresa K. Dix and Tracey Jones, both of Robinson, and Michele Littlejohn of Oblong; a son, Scott of Washington, D.C.; his mother and stepfather, L. Twila and Don Perkins of Robinson; two brothers, his twin, Jerald E., and Russell, both of Robinson; four grandchildren, Branden and Cory Littlejohn and Tyler and Caleb Dix; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Pulliam Funeral Home, with burial in West Lawn Memorial Park in Newton.

Harold Maxey
CROSSVILLE, Ill. — Harold E. “Bunky” Maxey, 72, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, at Wabash Christian Retirement Center.
He was an electrician and lineman for Terrell Electric Co. and a member of the St. Polycarp Catholic Church.
Surviving are five daughters, Mary E. Woolsey of Crossville, Eileen Mundy of Port Charlotte, Fla., Judy M. Davis of New Harmony, Ind., Janet L. Cunningham of Grayville and Rebecca A. Clark of Carmi; three sons, Gregory E. of Appleton, Wis., Richard T. of Carmi and Joseph A. of Geff; his mother, Zola Maxey of Shiloh; two sisters, Ilene Morris of Dupo and Enid Tolin of O’Fallon; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
His wife, Patricia Marion (Callahan) died Feb. 15.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Campbell Funeral Home, with burial in St. Polycarp Cemetery.

Dorothy Stoll
NEW HAVEN, Ill. — Dorothy Stoll, 79, of Lorain, Ohio, formerly of New Haven, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at Grace Hospital in Ohio.
She had managed the Chris Cafe in Lorain.
Surviving are her husband, Jack; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Cox & Son Funeral Home in New Haven, with burial in Union Ridge Cemetery.
