JENNINGS, BERNICE E., 80, of Maryville died at 9:32 p.m. Sunday, July 12, at the family home.
She was a member of Maryville Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie B. Jennings; brothers, Frank, Tillman and J. B. Holman; sisters, Bessie Medley, Lois Brazier, Lela Shockley.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, E. Ray and Fran Jennings of Maryville; grandchildren, Roger and Jerry Jennings of Maryville; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Mike Brumley officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.

McCLURE, EMMA E., 82, of Louisville, died Sunday, July 12, at The University of Tennessee Medical Center.
She was a charter member of Beech Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard McClure; daughter, Beth Hughes; grandson, William Andrew Effler.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Wilma and Herb Effler of Alcoa; Sue and J. L. Gatlin of Knoxville; grandchildren, Jimmy and wife Sandi Hughes, Lisa Hughes, Patrick and wife Melonie Effler, Brent Gatlin; great-grandchildren, Matthew Hughes, Adam Hughes, Callie Effler.
Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. today in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with the Rev. Robert McCullough, the Rev. Kenny Armstrong, and the Rev. Ronnie Reagan officiating. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

MYERS, VIOLA, 97, of Townsend, died Monday morning, July 13, at the family home.
She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Townsend and was born in Cades Cove.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Golman Myers; parents, John H. and Tennessee Tipton Burchfield; sons, Theodore Myers, Wayne Myers, Clee Myers.
Survivors include daughter, Bonnie S. Myers of Townsend; son and daughter-in-law, Bernard and Joan Myers of Townsend; daughter-in-law, Juanita Myers of Townsend; grandsons, Glenn, Joe, Roger, Ronald, Jerry, John, Dale and Danny Myers; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Vernie Burchfield of Maryville; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. today at Miller Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Homer Burns and the Rev. Darren Wigington officiating. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bethel Cemetery in Townsend.

RUTHERFORD, CHARLES, 82, of Maryville died at 6:14 p.m. Sunday, July 12, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
He retired from ALCOA and was a member of the 25-Year Club. He served in the CCC's at Tellico Plains Camp and in the Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church and was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of New Providence Lodge No. 128 F&AM.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Bessie Rutherford of Knoxville; brothers, Robert, Darrell, Guy and Escoe Rutherford; sister, Juanita Rutherford, all of Knoxville.
Survivors include wife, Lorenia Rutherford; son, James D. Rutherford of Maryville; grandson, David M. Rutherford of California; sister, Kathleen Rutherford; sister-in-law, Christine Rutherford of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews; special friends and neighbors, Linda Cupp, Charlotte Glass, Carl Cooper, all of Maryville.
Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. today in the East Chapel of Smith Mortuary with the Rev. Glenn Grubb and Dr. Glenn Cummings officiating. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

William Lon Breeden, age 90, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday morning, Nov. 23, 1999, at home. Charter member of Light Pink Baptist Church. Preceded in death by granddaughters, Jean Marie Breeden and Carla Michelle Breeden; daughter, Debra Alene Dyer; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Brown Lowe Breeden; and six sisters.
Survivors: Beloved wife of 63 years, Pearl M. Breeden; sons and daughters-in-law, Willis R. ``Bill'' and Willa Mae Breeden of Louisville, Carl ``Pete'' and Linda Breeden of Maryville and Larry Breeden of Louisville; daughters and sons-in-law, Agnes and Archie Welch of Knoxville, Pat and Troy Butler of Maryville, Mary and Glenn Simerly of Louisville, Carmen and Steve Dixon of Louisville, and Jonnie L. and Donnie Morgan of Athens; son-in-law, Jerry W. WADE R. EFFLER
Wade R. Effler, age 86, of Townsend died at 7:05 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, at Ft. Sanders Park West Hospital. He was a member of Tuckaleechee Primitive Baptist Church. He retired from ALCOA and was a member of their 25-Year Club. He was a member of the CCC's at Tremont, worked in Cades Cove with the Natural History Association after retirement from ALCOA.
Preceded in death by: wife, Bessie M. Stephenson Effler; brothers, Boyd, Clark, and Dewey Effler; sister, Ellen Effler; parents, Jerry and Della Effler.

Edgar W. Best, age 92, of Maryville, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000 at Maryville Healthcare Center. He was a member of Carpenters United Methodist Church, was retired from ALCOA and a member of the ALCOA 25 Year Service Club. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ethleen Baumgardner; mother and father, Coy and Cora Best; sister, Mary Coning; brothers, Truman, Fred, Claude and Lawrence.

Ronald Keith Bridges, age 56, of Maryville, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2000 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church, an employee of ALCOA for 34 years, and a member of their 25-Year-Club. Preceded in death by: father, Younger Bridges; brother, Edmond Bridges.
Survivors include: mother, Stella Wrinn Bridges of Maryville; daughter and son-in-law, Kasey and Greg Cable of Maryville; step-daughter and husband, Jan and Lee Allen of Maryville; step-grandchildren, Joshua and Hannah Allen; aunt, Florence Edwards of Oak Ridge, TN.

Marie Effler, age 80, went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 20, 2000. She was a life long member of West Miller's Cove Primitive Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: parents, Henry and Laura Williams; children, Andy Effler and Carol Vadeboncoeur; grandchildren, Robert Effler and Joseph McKee.

H.R. FORTON
H.R. Forton, age 91, of Maryville, born July 10, 1908, passed away Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000 at his home. He was an inventor, successful businessman, and founder of Greenback Industries. He was preceded in death by two wives, Margaret N. Forton, and Lucille G. Forton.
Survivors include: his sister, Ms. Myrtis Schreiber and husband, Norman Schreiber of Ft. Myers, FL; compassionate stepson, Michael Meares; companion and care givers through 16 years of friendship, Brenda Cooper, and daughter, Angela Cooper Riddle; loving care givers, Edith Haun, Donna Standridge, Margie Bradford, Linda Hayes; former care givers, Judy Lindsey, Jean Jones, and Jennifer Bradford.
Family and friends will meet 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum for the funeral service with Father Joseph J. Brando officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at McCammon-Ammons Funeral Home, Maryville.

HERBERT BEN FULLER
Herbert Ben Fuller, age 70, of Maryville, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000 at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Naomi Fuller; and son, Rodney A. Fuller.
Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Robin and Kay Fuller of Maryville; grandchildren, Chip Fuller, Lori Fuller, Katie Fuller, Benny Fuller; great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Fuller and Sarah Fuller.

JACQUELINE FABER GAYLON
Jacqueline Faber Gaylon, finally ended her struggle with leukemia. She began her life in the Grand Duchey of Luxembourg almost 67 years ago on the 24th of March, 1933. Surviving the ravages of World War II in Europe, she completed finishing school in London, England in 1955. She arrived in the United States in 1956, gaining her citizenship in 1969. Accompanying the Colonel to various duty stations throughout the world, they would finally settle in Louisville, TN, after his retirement in 1974. She immediately endeared herself with many of the people in the boating community. She was loved by many and adored by all whom she met. ``Stub'' will be sorely missed by everyone.
She is survived by: her loving husband, Ed Galyon; her devoted son, Bobby Goodman; her adoring stepsons, Mike, Dan, Pat, Jimmy, David, Kevin and Robin Galyon.
No services are planned. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Leukemia Foundation. McCammon-Ammons Funeral Home, Maryville.

JACOB LAWRENCE MADDOX
Jacob Lawrence Maddox, age 89, a resident of Colonial Hills Nursing Home in Maryville, formerly of Greenback, passed away Monday, Feb. 21, 2000. Mr. Maddox retired from ALCOA in 1973 and was a member of their 25-Year Club. He was a member of Greenback Memorial Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: wife, Martha Etta Maddox in 1998.
He is survived by: two sons and daughters-in-law, L.J. and Helen Maddox of Knoxville, and Le-Roy and Una Maddox of Philadelphia, TN; daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy and Leon Garland of Friendsville, TN, and Jean and Jimmy Steel of Crestview, FL; sister, Estel Pierce; brothers, Floyd C. Maddox, Verlin Maddox, and Hayes Maddox, all of Speedwell, TN, Lester Maddox of LaFollette, TN, and Ralph Maddox of Clinton, TN; five grandsons; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000 in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Ron Bailey officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends will assemble at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for entombment. LILLIAN L. MCMAHAN
Lillian L. McMahan, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000. She was a long time member of St. John United Methodist Church and a retired Registered Nurse.
She is survived by husband, Clyde McMahan; daughter, Charlotte. A native of South Carolina, she adopted Tennessee as her home in 1946. She leaves behind: sisters, Vermelle Huckaby and Zoie Cheek of Anderson, SC, Alice Atkinson of Branford, FL.; 10 nieces and 11 nephews gave her great joy. She loved people and quilting. Her beautiful smile and sweet laugh will be missed.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Edward Sykes officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. DR. TIMOTHY H. RUPP
Dr. Timothy H. Rupp, age 37, of Maryville, Tennessee, formerly of Davison, Michigan, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000 at his parents' home in Davison.
A funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison. Rev. Fr. Andrew Czajkowski celebrant. Burial in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Dr. Rupp will lie in state at the Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., where the family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. A scripture service will be prayed 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Duke University Brain Tumor Center or the Wellness Community. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Timothy was born in Flint, MI, on August 11, 1962, the son of Ronald and Barbara Rupp. He married Elizabeth Farner on June 27, 1992 in Indianapolis, IN. Dr. Rupp graduated from Albion College in 1984 and Wayne State Medical School in 1988. He completed a residency in internal medicine and a gastroenterology fellowship in Indiana University. Dr. Rupp was also on staff at Indiana University and actively involved in research. He most recently was a partner with Blount Gatroenterology Associates. Dr. Rupp was a member of Our Lady of Fatima and Phi Beta Kappa.
Timothy is survived by: wife, Liz; sons, Jack and Tom; parents, Ronald and Barbara Rupp; twin brother, Dr. Thomas Rupp.

Preceded in death by parents, Sam and Melvina Cutshaw; sister, Myrtle Hatcher; brothers, J.D. and Lawrence ``Bud'' Cutshaw.
Survivors include; wife, Mary Lynn Clark Cutshaw; children, Howard H. Cutshaw and wife Kathy of Chattanooga, TN, Bridget Cutshaw and husband Michael Weir, of Houston, TX, and Jeffrey L. Cutshaw and wife Leslie; three grandchildren, Clark Cutshaw, Aaron Cutshaw, and Emily Weir; sisters Betty Davis and husband George, Willie Rhea Keeble, Ruby Allison and Helen Delozier; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by; husband, Noah Easterday; brothers Jim and John Aiken; sisters, Mayme Nelson, Rose McCullough, Louise Aiken, and Carrie Miller.
Survivors include; children, Ralph and Gerry Easterday of Tellico Village and Doris and Stanley Brown of Maryville; grandchildren, Nancy and John Howell of Maryville, Kathy and Rickey Carver of Collierville, Linda and Peter Ponce of Knoxville, Tami and Chris Touton of Maryville; great-grandchildren, Kevin, Laura, and Amy Howell, Jennifer Carver, Peter J. and Alexandria Ponce; several nieces and nephews.

Carl Wallace Gennoe, age 74, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2000, at Blount Memorial Hospital.
He was employed by the Cunningham Dairy Farm. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Alexander and Edna Mae Gennoe.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Debbi and Shane Hood of Seymour; sons and daughters-in-law, Carl and Phyllis Gennoe of Maryville, Terry and Kim Gennoe of Seymour; sons, Ricky Gennoe and Kevin Gennoe, both of Maryville; five grandchildren; brothers, Condon Gennoe of Niota, TN; brothers and sisters-in-law, R.E. and Sue Gennoe of Decatur, TN, Leroy and Pat Gennoe of Niota; sister, Wilma Gennoe of Crossville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda and E.L.
