Liggett of Galesburg, IL and Norma F. Ellis of Louisville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Moore; a grandson, Carson Moore; her parents, Michael Flood and the former Lenora Wilson; and a sister, Eva Killip. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 N. Yancey C. Moore, 75, of Louisville, died Saturday, September 21, 2002, at Norton Audubon Hospital. She was the former Yancey Barber Cummins, a wife, mother, homemaker and social activist involved in Meals on Wheels, Witness for Peace, Fellowship of Reconciliation and several environmental and religious organizations. She is survived by her husband, John O. Moore Sr.; sons, J. Robert Moore, Dr. Patrick A. Moore and his wife, Dr. Karen Lindfors of Sacramento, CA and John O. Moore Jr.; daughters, Yancey L. Moore of Rochester, NY, Rebecca S. Moore and her husband, Timothy McDermott and Frances M. Moore and her husband, Kenneth Hillebrand; sisters, Sara Cummins Edwards and Frances Cummins; brother, Joseph Arthur Cummins II; and 10 grandchildren. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her daughter, Ann Cummins Moore, and her sister, Ann Cummins Tafel. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Pearson's, 149 Breckinridge Ln. She is survived by four daughters, Cindy Burris and Theresa, Margaret and Rosemary McGaha; a son, William D. McGaha Sr.; three sisters, Pat Nugent, Mary Polston and Jeanette Bullock; brothers, David and Mark Workman; nine granchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Her funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home, with burial in Pennsylvania Run Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday.

Virginia Lee Moore, 72, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2002, at Norton Audubon Hospital. She was the former Virginia Thomas. Virginia is survived by two sons, Larry Franklin and Stan Moore; two daughters, Jackie and Patty Franklin; a sister, Nancy Hayslett; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Her body was donated to the University of Louisville Bequeathal Program. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Nunnelley Funeral Home, 4327 Taylor Blvd., with visitation from 5-7 p.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

Survivors include her parents, Karen Moore and Patrick Jordon; stepparents, Anthony Maddox and Deborah Jordan; brothers, Jacori Moore and Jordon Walker; sisters, Kandice Moore and Tajiana Jordon; half-brothers, Joshua Maddox and Hennessy Richardson; and her grandparents, William and Betty Moore, Frank and Margaret Jordon, Faye Herndon and Anna and Walter Sharp. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Anchorage, 11500 LaGrange Rd., with burial in Berrytown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at A.D. Porter & Sons Funeral Home, 1300 W. Chestnut Street, and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Carl Thomas "Tom" Moore, 65, of Louisville, died Saturday at Hospice & Palliative Care of Louisville's inpatient unit at Norton Audubon Hospital. He was a native of Marion County, KY and a retired employee of General Electric, with 40 years service. Mr. Moore was a member of the International Union of Electrical Workers Local #761. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Moore; two sons, Jeffery Thomas Moore and Timothy W. Moore; three brothers, Joseph M., Walter H. and Louis Moore; three sisters, Susan M. Montgomery, Brenda Thomas and Carol Daugherty; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Robert "Bob" Moore; and an infant sister, Rebecca Mae Moore. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, 5505 Bardstown Rd., with entombment in Resthaven Mausoleum. Visitation: 2-9 p.m. Monday at Ratterman & Sons, 3800 Bardstown Rd. Memorial gifts are suggested to Hospice of Louisville.
