Mallay, Jesse Charles
August 27, 1975 - April 2, 2004
Jesse Charles Mallay, 28, of Shepherd, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2004 at Hurley Medical Center in Flint.
A Memorial Service for Jesse will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at 4 p.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel.
Jesse was born on August 27, 1975, in Alma, Michigan, the Son of Gary Ronald and Joyce Wanita (Lootens) Mallay. He was self employed as a construction laborer.
Jesse is survived by his father, Gary Ronald Mallay; brothers, Timothy Mallay and David Mallay (Bridget Basney); Sisters, Sheryl (John) Donley, Pamela (Jerry) Decker and Christina Mallay and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jesse was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Mallay and sister, Linda Mallay.

Dennis Sr., Russell Ray
July 28, 1945 - April 1, 2004
Russell R. Dennis Sr., 58, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2004, at his home.
Funeral services for Russell will be held today, Saturday, April 3, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Obrecht officiating.
Russell was born on July 28, 1945, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, the son of Cecil F. and Bernice E. (Ludwig) Dennis I. He married Barbara Kripa on June 23, 1973 in Mt. Pleasant. Russell was a currier for Isabella Bank and Trust for 35 years, retiring in 2000. He loved his grandchildren and liked talking about hunting.
Russell is survived by his wife, Barbara Dennis of Mt. Pleasant; his children, Russell R. (Kristi) Dennis Jr. and Robin (C.J.) Hart both of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Hunter, Wyatt, McKenzie and Caleb; mother, Bernice Dennis of Mt. Pleasant; brother, Roger S. (Joyce) Dennis of Mt. Pleasant.
Russell was preceded in death by his father, Cecil F. Dennis I and brother, Cecil F. Dennis II.

Campbell, Vivian Lucille
May 3, 1921 - March 30, 2004
Vivian Campbell, 82, of Rosebush, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away after a long and courageous battle on Tuesday, March 30, 2004, at the Cleveland Clinic Medical Facility with her family by her side.
Funeral Services for Vivian will be held on Saturday, April 3, at 11 a.m. from the Clark Funeral Chapel in Mt. Pleasant with Reverend Mary Anne Evans-Justin and Reverend Alec Brooks officiating. Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 2, from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, April 3, from 10 a.m. until time of service at Clark Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rosebush Presbyterian Church, Rosebush Manor or Donor's choice. Envelopes will be available at Clark Funeral Chapel.
Vivian was born May 3, 1921, in Rosebush, the daughter of Floyd and Lois (Connor) Graham. She married Albert Campbell on July 21, 1944 in Rosebush. Vivian and Albert celebrated 59 years of marriage together. After graduating from high school she began working for Joe Schueller at Farmers Mutual Insurance Co. In 1955 Vivian took over her father-in-laws insurance business where she began selling out of the home. Later Vivian was the Rosebush Village Treasurer for many years. Vivian was a member of the Rosebush Presbyterian Church, where she played the organ and piano for over 60 years and was involved in many of the church activities. Vivian was a wonderful cook with many 'special' recipes. She loved watching birds, squirrels, playing games, traveling or simply spending time with family and friends. She was always caring and devoted towards others. Vivian's open arms, hugs and kisses will be deeply missed by all.
Vivian is survived by her husband Albert Campbell of Rosebush; her children, Ted Sr. (Trudy) Campbell of Mt. Pleasant, Helen Campbell of West Bloomfield, MI; grandchildren, Shellie (Paul) Wilson of Midland, Ted Jr.(Kristy) Campbell of Wixom, MI and Amanda Campbell of Mt. Pleasant; Great-Grandchildren Larissa and Codey Wilson of Midland; brother, Dale (Bernice) Graham of Mt. Pleasant; sister Marian Schleder of Ithaca; sister-in-law, Pauline Graham of Rosebush along with many nieces, nephews and special friends.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Lois Graham and her brother; Ivan Graham.

Fischer, Annabelle
February 20, 1915 - March 27, 2004
Annabelle Fischer, age 89, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2004, at her residence.
Funeral services for Annabelle will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at 11 a.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel with Rev. Richard Fulkerson officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 29, from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, March 30, from 2'4 & 7'9 p.m. at Clark Funeral Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mid-Michigan VNA Hospice or to the Central Michigan Free Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at Clark Funeral Chapel.
Annabelle was born February 20, 1915, the daughter of Frank Howay and Anna (Billington) Howay. Annabelle attended and graduated from Mt. Pleasant Schools, class of 1934. She married Frank G. Fischer who preceded her in death on June 6, 1976. She was a member of the Central Michigan Free Methodist Church, active in Girl Scouting for many years, and life member of the V.F.W. Post 3033 Auxiliary. Annabelle and her husband were instrumental in the development of the Airport Community Center (now Jameson Park).
Annabelle is survived by her 5 children, Carol (Jim) Ruthruff of Weidman, George (Suzanne) Fischer of Caledonia, Pauline Fischer of Midland, Ralph Fischer of Mt. Pleasant, and Annatta Marshall of Midland; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; her 3 sisters, Sedena McReavy of Mt. Pleasant, Ruth Rock of Mt. Pleasant and Katherine Tiedeman of Clare; sister-in-law, Hazel Howay of Harrison, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 sister Eleanor Feltman, and 5 brothers, Earl, George, Lyle, Charles and Russell Howay.
Annabelle was a Loving Mother and Grandmother who will surely be missed by her family and friends.

Wheeler, Roger Ray
December 9, 1952 - March 24, 2004
Roger Ray Wheeler, 51, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on March 24, 2004 at Central Michigan Community Hospital.
Funeral Services for Roger will be held on Saturday, March 27, at 2 p.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bill Heath officiating. Interment will follow in the Chippewa Township Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 25, from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, March 26, from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Clark Funeral Chapel.
Roger was born December 9, 1952, in Isabella County, the son of Gordan and Helen (Fair) Wheeler. Roger is survived by his brothers, Gordan 'Bill' Wheeler, Ronald (Mary Anne) Wheeler and Rolland (Janet) Wheeler all of Mt. Pleasant; Sisters Betty (Roy) Trussell of Charlotte, Florida and Violet Harris of Mt. Pleasant and many nieces and nephews.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Randy Wheeler and Sister-in-law, Barb Wheeler.
The family would like to give a special thanks to McBrides Adult Foster Care Home and their staff.

Utterback, Helen Gertrude
January 10, 1917 - March 23, 2004
Helen Gertrude Utterback, 87, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at her home.
Funeral Services for Helen will be held on Saturday, March 27, at 11 a.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel with Rev. Donald Kevern officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 26, from 3-9 p.m. at Clark Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Michigan or Friends of Isabella Seniors. Envelopes will be available at Clark Funeral Chapel.
Helen was born January 10, 1917, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Charles E. and Helen Josephine (Oathout) Craft. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1935. Helen married Chelsea Utterback on December 24, 1935. He preceded her in death after 62 years of marriage. She worked as a state wide conveyor for the Michigan Crippled Children for 10 years and Union Township Clerk for 8 years. Helen was involved in CMCH Auxillary and spent many years with the Girl Scouts. She was instrumental in moving the Girls Scouts Cabin. Helen also helped her husband, Chelsea with construction projects in the community, including the building of Community Stadium.
Helen is survived by her children, Imogene Pilarski of Utica, MI, Eugene 'Chum' (Ruth) Utterback of Mt. Pleasant, Charlene (Gary) Priest of Shepherd and Terry (Alison) Utterback of Charlotte, NC; Fifteen Grandchildren; Eighteen Great-Grandchildren; One brother, Ivan (Edith) Craft of Lansing, MI; Brother-in-law, Kenneth 'Red' (Mildred) Utterback of Mt. Pleasant and Sister-in-law, Kathryn Utterback of Mt. Pleasant.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Chelsea and son-in-law, Regis Pilarski.

Denney, Geraldine L.
February 12, 1921 - March 18, 2004
Wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Geraldine L. Denney, 83, of Mt. Pleasant died on Thursday, March 18, 2004 at her home. A memorial service for Geraldine will be held on Saturday, April 17 at 11 a.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel with officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Cancer Services or Hospice of Central Michigan.
Geraldine was born February 12, 1921, the daughter of Ernest and Hattie (Smith) Derry in Gratiot County. She married Robert Denney on June 21, 1940. Geraldine was employed by Central Michigan Community Hospital for 30 years before retiring in 1985. She enjoyed bowling, golf and was a devoted Tigers fan, avid reader and loved playing cards.
Geraldine is survived by her husband, Robert of Mt. Pleasant; children, Douglas (Paula Fortino) Denney of Greenville, Pamela Miller of St. Charles, Cathy (Richard) von Reichbauer of Mt. Pleasant, Kimberly (David) Yost of Shepherd and Roxann (Randy) Ellis of Dimondale, Michigan; Grandchildren, Robin, Jeremy, Vicki (Tom), Jason (Lisa), Krystal, Katie, Audra and Dane; Great-Grandchildren, Kennadi, Justen, Jaksen, Khayman, Madelyn, Ella, Derry and Konnor; brothers, Jack (Beverly) Derry of Shepherd and Earl Derry of Florida and one sister, Phyllis Derry of St. Louis.
Interment will be in Memorial Gardens later in the spring.

Grecu, Phyllis
July 24, 1921 - March 10, 2004
Phyllis Grecu, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2004, at her residence.
Private family services have taken place.
