OCALA — Kathleen Mary Anderson, 85, a retired headlight assembler for Chrysler, died Sunday, June 18, 2000, at Sylvia's Hospice House.
A native of Brandon, Manitoba, Canada, she came here from Detroit in 1972. Ms. Anderson was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church.
Survivors include her sister, Mary Dawson, Ocala; niece, Roberta M. Masson, and friend, John Waligorski, both of Ocala.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County.

Charles L. Cates, 80
DUNNELLON— Charles L. Cates, 80, a retired equipment operator, died Friday, June 16, 2000 at home.
A native of Miami and a lifelong Floridian, he moved here 15 years ago. Mr. Cates was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Cates, and son, Charles Wayne Cates in 1999.
Survivors include son, Richard Arthur Cates, Washington; daughter Judy Ayers, Ocala; four brothers, two sisters and 3 grandchildren.

Amy L. Harris, 58
OCALA — Amy L. Harris, 58, a homemaker, died Monday, June 12, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Harris was a native and lifelong resident of Ocala and was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include her daughters, Tarra Harris, Ocala and Tonya Harris, New York City, N.Y.; sisters, Barbara Davis, Sheryl Brown and Ida Mobley, all of Anthony, Wilma and Dorthenia Hester, Mary Wilkerson; and brother, Roger Hester, all of Ocala.

James M. McAleer, 86
OCALA — James M. McAleer, 86, a retired manager/financial adviser, died Saturday, June 17, 2000, at his residence.
A native of Chicago, he came here from Michigan 17 years ago. Mr. McAleer was a member of Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church in Ocala.
Survivors include his wife, Melanie McAleer, Ocala; daughters, Joan Maguire, Vassar, Mich. and Ann Walsh, Clawson, Mich.; sons, John Maguire, Fairfield, Iowa, Larry Maguire, Grosse Ile, Mich., Tom Maguire, Grand Rapids, Mich. and Joseph Maguire, Monte Rio, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Patrick G. Rennells, 24
OCALA — Patrick Gavin Rennells, 24, a baker for Publix Supermarket, died Tuesday, June 13, 2000.
A native of Tampa, he came here from Miami in 1999.
Survivors include his father, Robert Rennells, Marshfield, Wis.; brothers, Sean Rennells, Brunswick, Maine and Robert Rennells, Marshfield; sister, Cheri Rennells, Marshfield; and paternal grandmother, Rosemary Kelleher, Ocala.

Jerry L. Thayer Sr., 68
OCKLAWAHA — Jerry Lee Thayer Sr., 68, a retired insurance agent for Independent Life Insurance Co., died Saturday, June 17, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Appalachia, Va., he came to Ocklawaha from Miami 32 years ago. Mr. Thayer was a member of First Assembly of God in Ocala; the Life Underwriters Training Council; charter member of New Life Church in Ocala, and charter member of First Freewill Baptist in Hollywood.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Thayer, Ocklawaha; daughters, Debbie Mottl, Belleview and Kathy Day, Powder Springs, Ga.; son, Jerry Thayer, Ocklawaha; sisters, Jackie Wilkes, McRae, Ga., Carol Cunningham, Newnan, Ga. and Barbara Halpin, Jacksonville; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Thayer Sr.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Assembly of God Bus Ministry.

Jean-Baptiste Begin, 89
HOLLY HILL — Jean-Baptiste Begin, a retired cabinet maker for Modern Age Kitchens in Holly Hill, died Saturday, June 17, 2000, at his residence.
A native of St. Ludger in Quebec, Canada, he came to Holly Hill in 1970. Mr. Begin was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Ormond Beach and the Ormond Beach Senior Center.
Survivors include his daughters, Diane Hirtle, Rochester, N.H., Ginette Baxley, Ocala, and Andree Begin, Holly Hill; sons, Jean-Luc Begin, Daytona Beach, Jean-Claude Begin, Guy-Noel Begin and Renaud Begin, all of Ormond Beach, Laval Begin, Holly Hill, Gaetan Begin, Sherbrooke, Canada and Viateur Begin, Rochester; sisters, Bernadette Boulanger and Germaine Blais, both of St. Ludger, Quebec; brothers, Bernadin Begin, St. Ludger, Quebec, and Gerard Begin, Elmwood, Conn.; 22 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Horst F. Casper, 77
OCALA — Horst F. Casper, 77, master butcher and part-owner of Schultz Restaurant in E. Aurora, N.Y., died Saturday, June 17, 2000, at Estelle's Hospice House.
A native of Dessau, Germany, he came here from Pinellas Park four years ago.
Survivors include his companion, Lillian Grant, Ocala; daughters, Barbara Casper, Ohio, Monica Casper, Illinois, and Beverly Casper, New York; son, Baron Casper, Lewisville, Texas; brothers, Frank Casper, E. Aurora and Hans Casper, Dusseldorf, Germany; and two grandchildren.

Aldie K. Caswell, 70
SUMMERFIELD — Aldie "Ken" Caswell, 70, retired from Armstrong Pattern and Mold Company, died Thursday, June 15, 2000, at his residence.
A native of Chittenango, N.Y., he moved to Summerfield in 1990 from Bridgeport, N.Y. Mr. Caswell was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, receiving the Purple Heart. He was a Mason for several years.
Survivors include his daughter, Rosalie Haynes, Chittenango; son, Larry Caswell, Tucson, Ariz.; and companion, Mary Redhead, Summerfield.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Katherine LeGuin.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lake and Sumter County.

Tillie Anderson Coe, 81
HERNANDO — Tillie Anderson Coe, 81, a retired elementary school teacher in Sarasota, died Monday, June 19, 2000.
A native of Quitman, Ga., she moved to Hernando in 1971 from Sarasota. Mrs. Tillman was a member of the Kappa Delta Gamma Sorority. She was Methodist.
Survivors include her sons, Wallace L. Coe, Jr., Gainesville and Philip S. Coe, Fayetteville, Ga.; daughter, Dolores Coe, Tampa; sisters, Helen Thomas, Hernando and Phyllis Smith, Inverness; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace L. Coe Sr.

Pauline E. Girardot, 66
OCALA — Pauline E. "Polly" Girardot, 66, a retired employee for Bud's Electric & Hardware in Hoagland, Ind., and former worker of both the Decatur Daily Democrat and Lincoln National Life Insurance Co., died Friday, June 16, 2000, at her residence.
Mrs. Girardot was a native of Monroe, Ind., and a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her aunts, Velma Daniels, Dorothy and Margaret Lobsiger, all of Decatur, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Neil E. Girardot, and brother, Donald Lobsiger.

Walter P. Hartley, 82
OCALA — Walter P. Hartley, 82, a retired maintenance worker, died Saturday, June 17, 2000.
A native of Lowell, Mass., he came here from Homosassa, in 1994. Mr. Hartley was Baptist.
Survivors includes his sister, Mary Muldoon, Ocala.

Orville W. Miller, 87
OCALA — Orville W. Miller, 87, retired auto parts salesman, died Saturday, June 17, 2000, at Park Place Retirement Community.
A native of Hebron, Ind., he moved to Ocala in 1994 from Falls Church, Va. Mr. Miller was Catholic, and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his son, Edwin McNamee, Tuscaloosa, Ala.s; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Miller.

Marion C. Robinson, 69
OCKLAWAHA — Marion C. Robinson, 69, a homemaker, died Saturday, July 17, 2000, at Palm Gardens of Ocala.
A native of Glennvile, Ga., she came to Ocklawaha in 1984 from Hollywood. Mrs. Robinson was Baptist.
Survivors include her daughters, Janice Cross, Ocklawaha, Marilyn "Cathy" Martin, Ocklawaha, and Marion "Carol" Hazelwood, Hutland, Tenn.; sons, Jerry Robinson, Belleview, and John Robinson, Ocala; sister, Edna Christianbury, Charlotte, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

George C. Roschlau, 74
OCALA — George C. Roschlau, 74, a retired senior lab technician, died Friday, June 16, 2000.
A native of New York, he came here in 1988 from Hyde Park, N.Y. Mr. Roschlau was a fireman for Roosevelt Fire District; a fire commissioner in Hyde Park; a retired IBM employee, and a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Roschlau, Ocala; daughters, Deborah Krevolin and Laura Seagren, both of Staatsburg, N.Y., and Valerie Roschlau, Hyde Park; and three grandchildren.
