LEESBURG — Maxine Banning Coursen, 91, a retired secretary and pianist for the First Baptist Church of Tavares, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000.
A native of Monroe, N.C., she moved to Leesburg from Tavares in 1999. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Tavares.

CITRUS SPRINGS — Ralph E. Evans, 79, a retired U.S. Navy lieutenant commander, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000.
A native of St. Louis, he moved here from Rhode Island in 1972. Mr. Evans was a member of First Baptist Church of Inverness.

REDDICK — Ella Govan, 92, a homemaker, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2000.
Mrs. Govan was a native and a lifelong resident of Reddick. She was Pentecostal.

Mrs. McGuffin was a member of Beverly Hills Civic Association; Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge, West Virginia; Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary; Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; and former vice president of the Democratic Party, Fayetteville, W.Va.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry W. McGuffin; and a son, Daniel McGuffin.
