OCALA — Lawrence K. Christensen, 66, an auto mechanic for Phillips Chrysler, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, at his home.
A native of Long Island, N.Y., he moved to Ocala from Miami 15 years ago. Mr. Christensen was a U.S. National Guard veteran. He was Lutheran.
Survivors include his wife, Signe M. Christensen, Ocala; mother, Camilla Christensen, Ocala; sons, Lawrence K. Christensen, Citra, Daniel G. Christensen, Ocala, and Stephen G. Christensen Sr., Miramar; sister, Joan Nance, Ocala; and 10 grandchildren.

Evelyn M. Cousins, 93
OCALA — Evelyn M. Cousins, 93, a homemaker, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000.
A native of New Canaan, Conn., she moved here from Elmont, N.Y., in 1994. Mrs. Cousins was a member of Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church, where she belonged to the Women's Club.
Survivors include her sons, Robert Cousins, Niagara Falls, N.Y., John Cousins, Birmingham, Ala., and Thomas Cousins, Tampa; daughters, Doris Rogers, Stuart, and Janet Kraus, Ocala; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy M. DeKnikker, 94
SPARR — Dorothy May DeKnikker, 94, a homemaker, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation for Coventry.
A native of England, she moved here from South Dakota in 1951. Mrs. DeKnikker was Baptist.
Survivors include her daughters, Caroline Hughes, Sparr, Esther Mills, Lowell, Bonnie Wilson, Anthony, and Josephine Cooley, Reddick; sons, Edward DeKnikker, Gettysburg, S.D., Albert DeKnikker, Cedarville, Calif., Arthur DeKnikker, Faith, S.D., and Lester DeKnikker, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; sisters, Stella Lenako, Mary Short, both of Port Orchard, Wash., and Beatrice Larson, Tempe, Ariz.; 27 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

Catherine J. Fleming, 80
OCALA — Catherine J. Fleming, 80, a homemaker, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at Harborside Health Care Center.
A native of Brooklyn N. Y., she moved here from Delray Beach in 1984. Mrs. Fleming was a member of Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church and Pine Needles Quilters Club. She was a volunteer at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her daughters, Gail Walsh, Ocala, Barbara Sasso, Winston-Salem, N.C., and Mary B. Fleming, Haverhill, Mass.; sons, Richard Fleming, Berwyn, Pa., and Jeffrey Fleming, Stuart; sisters, Miriam Bourgal, Long Island, N.Y., and Betty Lacavara, New Jersey; brothers Donald Fahy, and John Fahy, both of Brooklyn; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

William J. Jones, 49
HERNANDO — William J. Jones, 49, a screening business owner, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000.
A native of Canton, Ohio, he moved here from Fort McCoy 20 years ago. Mr. Jones was Catholic. He was a member of Wanderer's Car Club and an avid motorcyclist.
Survivors include his mother, Margaret Jones, Homosassa; sisters, Jane Marler, Beverly Hills, Carol May, Homosassa, and Dolores Tillman, Houston; son, Patrick Jones, Texas; and daughter, Angel Jones, Texas.

OCALA — George Kaleida, 86, a retired dairy farmer, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, at Estelle's Hospice House.
A native of Disputanta, Va., he moved here from Conneautville, Pa., 17 years ago. Mr. Kaleida was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie A. Kaleida, Ocala; sons, Robert Kaleida, Richard Kaleida, and Matthew Kaleida, all of Pennsylvania; daughters, Patricia Patterson, Allyne Peterson, and Joanne Robinson, all of Tennessee, Diane Paszkowski, and Dorothy Karpinski, both of North Carolina; sister, Helen Potenziani, Pittsburgh ; 18 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A native of Live Oak, he moved here from Ocklawaha 20 years ago. Mr. Moore was Baptist. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Moore, Belleview; daughters, Rosemary Penoyer, Ocklawaha, Jean Rust, Jacksonville, and Libby Cornett, Hilton, Va.; sons, Morris Westberry, Saint Aug.ine, Jimmy R. Moore, Anderson, S.C., Ray Moore, and Jerry Moore, both of Live Oak; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

A native of Winchester, Ky., he moved here from Zephyrhills in 1977. Mr. South was a Boy Scout leader.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine South; son, Devin South; daughter, Erin South, all of Ocala; and sister, Connie Jumbelick, Jacksonville.

Ansonia, Conn. — Doris L. Van Stone, 77, a machine operator, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000.
Mrs. Van Stone was a native of Southport, Conn., and a former resident of Belleview. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8083 in Belleview, Moose Club 1014 in Ocala, and American Legion Auxiliary Post 284 in Belleview. She worked for Schick Safety Razor, a division of Warner Lambert, Milford, Conn.
Mrs. Van Stone was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Van Stone.
Survivors include her daughters, Barbara L. McNeill, Waterbury, Conn., Patricia A. Amaral, Shelton, Conn., and Mary Beth Shepard, Ansonia, Conn.; brothers, Howard Sherman, Niceville, and Robert Sherman, Campton, N.H.; sister, Audrey Collins, Milford, Conn.; and two grandchildren.

Ronald L. Walling, 64
OCALA — Ronald L. Walling Sr., 64, owner and operator of Ron's Pizza in Scottsburg, Ind., died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, at his home.
A native of Lexington, Ind., he moved to Ocala in 1992. Mr. Walling was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, serving as a medic. He was a member of the American Legion, Delray Beach, and the Loyal Order of the Moose, Madison, Ind. Mr. Walling was Presbyterian.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy "Carole" Walling, Ocala; daughters, Catherine Zollman and Debra Gay, both of Scottsburg, Ind.; sons, Robert A. Walling, Boca Raton, Kenneth L. Walling, Ocala, and Ronald L. Walling Jr., Lawrenceville, Ga.; sisters, Donna J. Miller, Louisville, Ky., Lynda K. McElvoy, Fredericksburg, Ohio., and Pamela S. A native of Hackensack, N.J., he moved here from Palm Beach Gardens five years ago. Mr. Auletta was a member of Ocala Word of Faith Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Janet B. Auletta, Dunnellon; daughter, Kimberly A. Mayorga, Royal Palm Beach; son, Jeffrey S. Auletta, West Palm Beach; and four grandchildren.

A native of Scottsburg, Ind., he moved here from Leesburg in 1995. Mr. Averill was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post No. 4493 in Candler. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam War.
