BEVERLY HILLS — Manuel George Costa, 86, a retired highway department laborer, died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2000.
A native of Plymouth, Mass., he moved to Beverly Hills in 1986. Mr. Costa was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses of Hernando.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Mary B. Costa, Beverly Hills; son, Timothy J. Costa, Homosassa; daughter, Kim Fritz, Cincinnati; sister, Mary Ferreria, Plymouth.

Eddie Davis, 77
OCKLAWAHA — Eddie Davis, 77, a laborer, died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000, at Estelle's Hospice House.
A native of Prattville, Ala., he moved to Ocklawaha 50 years ago. Mr. Davis was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Rachel Davis, Ocklawaha; daughter, Dorothy M. Taylor, Ocala; sisters, Mattie Goodson, Brooksville and Alberta Hennerson, Cleveland; brother, McKenzie Davis, Birmingham, Ala.

Annie W. Johnson, 82
DUNNELLON — Annie Williams Johnson, 82, a retired school teacher, died Sunday, Aug. 20, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Johnson was a native of Dunnellon, and a lifelong resident of Marion County. She was a member of First Bethel Baptist Church finance committee and Comprehensive Planning Commission, Seven Rivers Hospital Citrus Elderly Council and Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.
Survivors include her daughters, Tanya Brooks, Dunnellon, Jozelle Echols and Deanna White, both of Chicago; son, Reuben Green, Dunnellon; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth M. Langevin, 81
OCALA — Elizabeth May Langevin, 81, a retired registered nurse, died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2000.
A native of Whitewater, Wis., she moved here from Milwaukee in 1969. Mrs. Langevin was a member of Christ Anglican Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Langevin.
Survivors include her daughters, Laurel Denson, Leesburg, and Jean Szwec, Brookville, Ohio; son, Edward H. Beers Jr., Pittsfield, Mass.; brother, Robert Thayer, Madison, Wis.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

OCALA — Daniel Chester Reaves Sr., 56, a retired farmer, died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, at Sunbridge Nursing Center.
Mr. Reaves was a native of Micanopy, and a lifelong resident of Ocala. Mr. Reaves was a member of Progressive Union Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Bessie M. Reaves, Martin; daughters, Tammy McCants, Flemington, and Belinda Simmons, Ocala; sons, Daniel Reaves Jr. and Danny Reaves, both of Flemington; brothers, Thomas Reaves, Reddick, John Reaves and Joe Reaves, both of Gainesville, Elijatt Reaves, Alex Reaves and Walter Reaves, all of Micanopy; stepdaughters, Peggy Johnson, Pauline Williams, Vermell Bess, Diane Craft, Luella West and Carolyn Vernon, all of Martin; stepsons, Vernon Roberts, Crystal River, and Odell Williams, Martin; 30 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A native of Lake City, he moved to Ocala in 1935. He was a member of Ebenezer Free Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Shumon, Ocala; sons, Samuel L. Shumon, Kenneth Shumon, Raymond Shumon, Leo Shumon and Randall Shumon; daughters, Antheria S. Robinson and Rhonda Shumon; sisters, Eria Shumon and Cecelia S. Sancho, all of Ocala; brothers, Curtis Shumon, Rochester, N.Y., and Joe Shumon, Ocala; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

OCALA — John D. Williams, 76, retired herpetologist at Silver Springs Attraction, died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, at his home.
Mr. Williams was a native of Bronson and a lifelong resident of Ocala. He was a member of Greater New Bethel Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a member of R.R. Bailey Lodge No. 486 Masonic Order.
Survivors include his wife, Duanita Williams, Ocala; sisters, Lucille Arthur, Elizabeth Robinson, Florence Ray and Roberta McCoy, all of Ocala, and Kate Cannon, Newark, N.J.; brothers, Robert Williams, Robin Williams, David Williams and Lawrence Williams Jr., all of Ocala; stepdaughters, Roxanna Lattimore, Mary Lattimore and Patricia Watson, all of Ocala; stepsons, Earl Watson Jr., Martin Watson and James Watson, all of Ocala; and three stepgrandchildren.

OCALA — Nelson J. Abrahams, 77, a retail administrator, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, at his home.
A native of New York, he moved to Ocala from Indiana in 1984. Mr. Abrahams was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Abrahams, Ocala.

OCALA — Russell R. Bakke, 76, a retired carnival worker, died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2000, at Estelle's Hospice House.
A native of Minnesota, he moved to Ocala in 1935. Mr. Bakke was Protestant.
Survivors include his friends, Frankie McRae, Mary Morgan, both of Ocala, and Marcus Johnson, Hilliard.

Jane Shephard Beckham, 79
OCALA — Jane Shephard Beckham, 79, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000.
Mrs. Beckham was a native of Ocala and a lifelong resident of Marion County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joel Beckham.
Survivors include her daughter, Beverly Pope, Ocala; son, Glenn Beckham, Charleston, S.C.; brother, John Shephard, Ocala; and four grandchildren.

Laurence E. Clemens, 56
OCALA — Laurence Eugene "Larry" Clemens, 56, died Monday, Aug. 21, 2000, at his home.
A native of Hammond, Ind., he moved to Ocala from Jesup, Ga., 21 years ago. Mr. Clemens was Baptist. He was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 2356, and Legionnaire Seminole Moose Legion No. 81. He was a gold medal—winning Special Olympian.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Clemens, Ocala; and brother, Melvin F. Clemens Jr., Rockville, Md.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County.
