OCALA — Willie Hubbard Sr., 70, a retired self-employed car detailer, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000, at Estelle's Hospice House.
A native of Blakely, Ga., he moved to Ocala from Blakely 50 years ago. Mr. Hubbard was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Hubbard, Ocala; daughters, Willie M. McDaniel, Miami, Lola McNeal, Ocala, and Cynthia A. Griffin, Tallahassee; sons, Willie Hubbard Jr., Temple Hill, Md., George Williams, Atlanta, and Fletcher Bailey, New York; sisters, Annie B. Bailey and Laura Igles, both of Blakely; brother, Charlie Abraham, Ocala; stepdaughters, Elnor Vernon, Mary Poole, Lillie Hanks, Shywhann Wright, and Alisha Gadson, all of Ocala; stepson, William Clark, Ocala; 24 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

William C. Meagher, 81
DUNNELLON — William C. Meagher, 81, a construction tile layer, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000 in Ocala.
A native of St. Louis, he moved here from Long Island, N.Y. 10 years ago. Mr. Meagher was Lutheran. He was a member of Masons Volunteer in Rainbow Springs State Park, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Meagher, Dunnellon; daughter, Barbara A. Conrod, Long Island, N.Y.; sons, William C. Meagher Jr., Stoughton, Mass., and Robert V. Meagher, Islip Terrace, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Virginia L. Olds, 75
OCALA — Virginia L Olds, 75, a retired hospital ward clerk, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000, at Tallahassee Community Hospital.
Mrs. Olds was preceded in death by her son, Donald Olds.
A native of Hornell, N.Y., she moved here from New Port Richey in 1996. Mrs. Olds was Lutheran.
Survivors include her daughters, Darlene Beckwith, Tallahassee, and Diane Hurlbut, Arkport, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Ellen Bermann, 94
BEVERLY HILLS — Ellen Bermann, 94, a retired administrator for the health care industry, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness.
A native of New York City, she came to Beverly Hills from Long Island, N.Y., 11 years ago. Mrs. Bermann was Episcopalian and a member of the Beverly Hills Bridge Club, Round Robin Bridge and the Beverly Hills Duplicate.
Survivors include her daughters, Barbara A. Maloney and Mary Hill, both of Beverly Hills; brother, Albert Altons, New Jersey; sister, Matilda Flesia, California; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Morton Bermann.

Jessie E. Davis, 51
BELLEVIEW — Jessie E. Davis, 51, a homemaker, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000, at her residence.
A native of Long Island, N.Y., she came to Belleview from St. Petersburg 20 years ago. Mrs. Davis was Catholic. She was a director and cheerleading instructor for Marion County Youth Football League and an avid gardener.
Survivors include her husband, Michael A. Davis, Belleview; daughters, Heather Lynam, Holly Davis and Carrine Davis, all of Ossining, N.Y.; sisters, Evron McKenzie Jones, Redmond, Ore., and Margaret McKenzie, St. Petersburg; and two grandchildren.

SILVER SPRINGS — Donald W. Garton, 84, a retired house parent for McPherson School, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, at Harborside Healthcare.
A native of Henry, Neb., he moved here from Otego, N.Y. in 1954. Mr. Garton was Methodist.
Survivors include his daughters, Terry A. Green, Gainesville, and Judy D'Andrea, Ocala; son, Paul Garton, Avon Park; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Herbert E. Morgan, 88
SILVER SPRINGS — Herbert E. Morgan, 88, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, at his residence.
A native of Wyoming County, W.Va., he came to Silver Springs from Pineville, W.Va., in 1973. Mr. Morgan was a member of Oklawaha Bridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include his sons, Buford Hawkins, Abingdon, Va., Max Morgan, Lady Lake, Onnie Morgan, Charleston, W.Va., Tom Morgan, Cool Ridge, W.Va., and Jerry Morgan, Boiling Springs Lake, N.C.; daughters, Wanda Parks, Wilson, N.C., Millie Church, Ocala, Peggy Muniz, Longwood, Judy Chericozzi, Princeton, W.Va., Kay Wolfe, Welch, W.Va., and Janey Allen, Ocklawaha; brothers, Buster Morgan, Kimball, W.Va., and Ed Morgan, Fern Park; sister, Gene Bowles, Ocala; 30 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

A native of Philadelphia, she came to Dunnellon from Miami three years ago.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Mulcahey, Dunnellon; daughter, Sandra Acker, Fort Wright, Ky.; and father Andrew Chobot, Dunnellon.

OCALA — Mattie "Granny" Birchfield Setzer, 68, retired owner of Granny's Produce Stand, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000, in Ocala.
A native of Robinsville, N.C., she came here from Plant City in 1980. Mrs. Setzer was a member of Sunshine Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Rhonda Crutchfield, Donna Alcerman and Sharon Crisp, all of Ocala; brothers, Larry and LeRoy Birchfield, both of Robinsville; and six grandchildren.

OCALA — Lorraine J. Smejkal, 74, a homemaker, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Chicago, she moved here from Villa Park, Ill., seven years ago.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence "Joe" Smejkal, Ocala; sons, Richard C. Smejkal, and Philip J. Smejkal, both of Villa Park, and Paul S. Smejkal, Wheaton, Ill.; brother, Leonard J. Koch, Tucson, Ariz.; and five grandchildren.

LYNNE — Edmund J. Wikarski, 78, a retired tool maker for General Motors, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, at Marion House.
A native of Buffalo, N.Y., he came to Lynne from East Aurora, N.Y., in 1985. Mr. Wikarski was Catholic, a member of Eagles Club of Silver Springs, and a U.S. Navy and Merchant Marine veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Wikarski Lynne; son, Russell Wikarski, East Aurora; sister, Dolores, and brothers, Jimmy and Bobby, all of New York; and six grandchildren.

Alice B. Ackerman, 67
SILVER SPRINGS — Alice B. Ackerman, 67, a retired laboratory technician, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Charleston, S.C., she moved here from Troy, Ohio, in 1986. Mrs. Ackerman was a member of Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church and the Ladies Auxiliary No. 4216 of Silver Springs.
Survivors include her daughter, Veronica Sexton, Silver Springs; sons, Raymond Leonard, Tampa, Robert E. Haney Jr., and Alan J. Haney, both of Silver Springs; sister, Veronica Jansen, York, Pa.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Lawrence L. Arrington, 79
CITRA — Lawrence L. Arrington, 79, a retired roofing contractor, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, at Malcolm Randall Veterans Administration Medical Center, Gainesville.
A native of West Palm Beach, he moved here from Fort Lauderdale in 1975. Mr. Arrington was a U.S. Army veteran and prisoner of war during of World War II. He was a member of North Central Florida Chapter of Ex-Prisoners of War and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4209 in Ocala.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores H. Arrington, Citra; son, Paul Arrington, San Antonio, Texas; and sister, Maye Arrington, San Antonio.

LECANTO — Donald R. Crigger, 64, a retired real estate broker, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000.
A native of McAndrews, Ky., he moved here from Fort Lauderdale in 1972. Mr. Crigger was a member of Citrus County Planning Commission. He was Protestant.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine S. Crigger, Lecanto; daughter, Darlene E. Crigger, Lecanto; mother, Edna Crigger, Florida; brothers, Arthur Crigger, West Virginia, and Bobby Crigger, Kentucky; sisters, Sue Allen, South Carolina, and Mary Lou Reed, Florida.

Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline Crouse, Ocala; daughters, Christina Mummery, Waterbury, Conn., Lisa Curtiss, Naugatuck, and Vicki Picone, McKeesport, Pa.; sons, Wayne A.
