INVERNESS — Richard George Acker, 83, a retired carpenter, died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000.
A native of Asheville, N.C., he moved here from Brecksville, Ohio, in 1972. Mr. Acker was a member of Inverness Church of God.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Mary Rae Hinckley Acker, Inverness; sons, Bert R. Acker, Berea, Ohio, and Thomas H. Acker, Asheville; daughters, Joy A. Kanter, Inverness, and Deborah A. Starner, Hernando; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Otis E. Baker, 73
SILVER SPRINGS — Otis Eugene "O.E." Baker, 73, a retired agent for Prudential Insurance Co., died Friday, Nov. 17, 2000, at his home.
A native of Owensburg, Ind., he moved here from Marathon. Mr. Baker was a member and past exalted ruler of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lodge 2139; member and past master of Masonic Lodge 323 (F&AM), both in Marathon. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his daughter, Debbie Shoenfelt, Homestead; sons, Dale Baker, Marathon, and Mike Baker, Silver Springs; ex-wife, Ruth Baker; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Marion County.

Clyde J. Blandford Sr., 75
OCALA — Clyde J. Blandford Sr., 75, died Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, in Canton, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Blandford, Palm Cay; six children; 22 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Oleta M. Collins, 90
BEVERLY HILLS — Oleta M. Collins, 90, a retired clerk for the U.S. Postal Service, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2000, at Heartland of St. Petersburg.
A native of Bedford, Ind., she moved here from Hollywood 17 years ago. Mrs. Collins was Protestant.
She is survived by a niece and a nephew.

Linda R. Conrad, 65
DUNNELLON — Linda R. Conrad, 65, a retired civil service employee for the U.S. government, died Monday, Nov. 20, 2000.
A native of Brinkman, Okla., she moved here from Washington, D.C., in 1988. Mrs. Conrad was a member of the Citrus County Women's Bowling Association.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Harold Conrad.
Survivors include her husband, Kermith E. Conrad, Dunnellon; son, Russell Richardson, Woodland, Wash.; daughters, Lisa Morgan, Dunnellon, Lana Bass, Blue Springs, Mo., and Janae Kelley, Clinton, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Raymond Green, 70
OCALA — Raymond Green, 70, a retired heavy equipment operator for O'Neil Construction, died Monday, Nov. 20, 2000, at Ocala Health and Rehabilitation Center.
A native of Perry, he moved here 50 years ago. Mr. Green was Baptist.
Survivors include his daughters, Frankie Carriero, Ocala, and Annie Foster, Texas; son, Raymond O. Green Jr., Ocala; sisters, Loraine Huckabee, Greenwood, S.C., and Frankie Lee Green, Wauchula; brothers, Charles Green and Daniel Green, both of Perry; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Gerald J. Maxwell, 85
BEVERLY HILLS — Gerald J. Maxwell, 85, a retired aviation insurance underwriter, died Monday, Nov. 20, 2000.
A native of New York City, he moved here from Mahwah, N.J., in 1984. Mr. Maxwell was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Olga Miko Maxwell, Beverly Hills; sons, Thomas H. Maxwell, Beverly Hills, and Gerald J. Maxwell, Mahwah; and three grandchildren.

John B. McNally, 78
OCALA — John B. McNally, 78, a retired mechanic for a glass factory, died Monday, Nov. 20, 2000.
A native of Dickson City, Pa., he moved here from Scranton, Pa., two years ago. Mr. McNally served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was Catholic.
Survivors include her daughters, Theresa Vella, Ocala, and Lisa Greggo, Boston; brother, Jerry McNally; sister, Jane Lengle, both of Dickson City; and four grandchildren.

Szlama Putersznit, 77
OCALA — Szlama Putersznit, 77, a retired steel mill ironworker, died Monday, Nov. 20, 2000.
A native of Poland, he moved here from Brooklyn, N.Y., in 1993. Mr. Putersznit was a member of Congregation Beth Shalom, Beverly Hills.
He was preceded in death by a son, Nathan Putersznit, who died on June 25, 1988.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Singer Putersznit, Ocala; son, Bernard Putersznit, Memphis, Tenn.; and sister, Zosia Mortenfeld, Israel.

Terrell M. Vanarsdall, 37
LUTZ — Terrell Mansfield Vanarsdall, 37, a disability examiner for State of Florida Department of Health, died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2000, in Orlando.
A native of Lebanon, Tenn., she moved to Lutz from Tallahassee one year ago. Mrs. Vanarsdall was a member of Grace Family Church. She graduated from Florida State University.
Survivors include her husband, Rick Vanarsdall, Lutz; son, Riker Vanarsdall, Lutz; parents, Eston S. and Barbara Mansfield, Ocala; and her brothers, Eston S. Mansfield III, Kissimmee, Lawson C. Mansfield, Seattle, and David W. Mansfield, Boise, Idaho.

OCALA — Otis Anderson, 87, a retired construction worker, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000.

Emma M. Brackett, 79
INVERNESS — Emma M. Brackett, 79, a retired parts inspector for a heavy equipment manufacturer, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2000.
A native of Bowling Green, Ky., she moved here from Brownsburg, Ind., in 1973. Mrs. Brackett was a member of Hernando Civic Club; New Hope Circle; and Phi Beta Chi Sorority. She was Protestant.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Virgil E. Brackett, Inverness; daughters, Barbara Stern, Glendale, Ariz., and Nancy Rubion, Las Vegas; sister, Elizabeth Belcher, Monrovia, Ind.; three grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.

OCALA — Beva Helen Chartier, 80, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2000, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Chartier moved here from Massachusetts in 1977. She was a volunteer for Ocala Civic Theatre.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Joseph R. Chartier, Ocala; daughters, Susan C. Schooley, Miami, Janet C. Shelley, Ocala and Lauren C. Fiore, Lakeport; sons, David A. Chartier, Piti, Guam, and Fred R. Chartier, San Francisco; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Rosa M. Daniels, 71
REDDICK — Rosa Mae Daniels, 79, a homemaker, died Friday, Nov. 17, 2000, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
A native of Camilla, Ga., she was a longtime resident of Marion County. Mrs. Daniels was a member of United Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Henry Sims Daniels, Reddick, Parion Sims, Fairfield, Robert Johnson, Sparr, Carl Brown, Miami, Harold Williams, Ocala, Charlie Daniels Jr. and Eddie Daniels, both of Gainesville; daughters, Shirley Davis, Shynise Richardson and Wilma Martin, all of Reddick, Gola Dale Drane and Diane Brannon, both of Miami; stepdaughters, Patricia Daniels, Gainesville and Queen Ester Daniels, Orlando; stepson, Bobby Daniels, Gainesville; 61 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

CITRUS SPRINGS — LaWanda Janette Griner Glunt, 30, a home health nurse, died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville.
A native of Bartow, she moved to Citrus Springs from Hernando one year ago. Mrs. Glunt was Pentecostal.
Survivors include her husband, Jeff Glunt, Tampa; daughters, Vandeera Rochel Darity and Sarah Ann Griner Glunt, both of Citrus Springs; son, Philip Edward Darity, Citrus Springs; stepdaughters, Danielle Glunt and Angela Glunt, both of Tampa; mother, Naomi Virginia Griner, Citrus Springs; father, Fred O. Griner, Winter Haven; sisters, W. Gail Ward, Lake Wales and Jan McGregor, Tampa; and many nieces and nephews.

Walter R. Hampton, 87
OCALA — Walter R. Hampton, 87, a retired plumber, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2000, at Marion House Health Care of Ocala.
Mr. Hampton was a native and a lifelong resident of Ocala.
He is survived by his sisters, Ida Fisher, Palatka, Ruby Mautner and Frances Peebles, both of Ocala; brother, Hubert Hampton, Ocala; and numerous nieces nephews.
