DUNNELLON — Norma Grace Newman, 71, a homemaker, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2001.
A native of Falconer, N.Y., she moved here from Buffalo, N.Y., in 1985. Mrs. Newman was a member of Holy Faith Episcopal Church and American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 58 in Dunnellon.
She was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Newman.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Gordan Newman, Dunnellon; daughter, Darlene Subulski, Salmanca, N.Y.; sons, Kevin Newman, San Antonio, Texas, Dean Newman, Ulysses, Kan., and Mark Newman, Cheektowaga, N.Y.; daughter, Faith Ball, Farmington, N.Y.; and her sisters, June Dearing, Mayville, N.Y., and Shirley Whitney, Sebring.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marion County's Estelle's House.

Robert C. Robison III, 12
TALLAHASSEE — Robert Carl Robison III, 12, a student at Nims Middle School, died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2001.
Robert was a native and a lifelong resident of Tallahassee.
Survivors include his mother, Chanin Moore, Tallahassee; father, Robert C. Robison Jr., Crawfordville; stepfather, Raymond Bettis, Tallahassee; brothers, Brandon Harrell, Tallahassee and Jacob Robison, Crawfordville; sisters, Anna Robin, Crawfordville, Brandi Harrell and Misti D. Robison, both of Tallahassee; and his grandparents, Cecelia Taylor, Belleview, Robert C. Robison and Mary J. Robison, both of Crawfordville.

Elmer H. Anderson Jr., 75
OCALA — Elmer H. Anderson Jr., 75, a retired manager for Dow Electronics, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2001.
A native of Baltimore, he moved here from Williston in 1981. Mr. Anderson served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Anderson, Ocala; son, Larry E. Mullins Jr., Chicago; daughters, Kathi Swehla, Polk City, Sandra Christiansen, Ashville, Pat Wilson, Deltona, Jerri Mills, Rolla, Mo., and Theresa Raines, Jacksonville; brothers, Louis Anderson, Grandy, N.C., and Gordon Anderson, Hampstead, Md.; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Hazel J. Bridges, 80
GAINESVILLE — Hazel J. Bridges, 80, a retired beautician, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, at North Florida Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Bridges was a native and lifelong resident of Ocala. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Ocala.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest W. Bridges; and daughter, Elizabeth A. Carson.
Survivors include her sons, Ernest W. "Bud" Bridges Jr., Gainesville, the Rev. Robert T. Bridges, Windemere and William T. "Bill" Bridges, Ocala; sister, Claire Steele, Ocala; brother, Claude Jennings, Ocala; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

OCALA — Patricia A. Brinkman, 60, a homemaker, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, she moved here from Strongsville, Ohio, in 1992. Mrs. Brinkman was a member of Our Lady of the Springs Church.
Survivors include her husband, George Brinkman, Ocala; daughters, Heidi B. Urbanic, Strongsville and Michelle Brinkman, Cleveland; brothers, Fredrick McIntyre II, Mentor, Ohio, and Daniel Lappin, Denver, Colo.; and two grandchildren.

Ruth E. Smith Frazee, 87
OCALA — Ruth E. Smith Frazee, 87, a homemaker, died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2001, at Life Care Center of Ocala.
Mrs. Frazee was a native and a lifelong resident of Marion County. She was a member of United Daughters of the Confederacy; Questors; Garden Club; officer for Fairfield Presbyterian Church; past president, past director and founding member of Marion County Historical Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry B. "Chick" Frazee.
Survivors include her sons, Henry M. "Buddy" Frazee, Gainesville; David L. Frazee, Rodondo Beach, Calif., and Craig Frazee, Ocala; daughters, Elizabeth F. Haskins and Katherine F. Theus, both of Ocala; sisters, Laura Feingold, Ocala and Bobby Jo Mills, Jacksonville; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

SUMMERFIELD — Brian Keith Lewis, 29, a metal framer with C.J. Metal Framing Co., died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2001.
A native of Ocala, he moved to Summerfield from Oxford in 1993. Mr. Lewis attended Oxford Assembly of God Church. He was an avid hunter.
Survivors include his wife, Cherie L. Lewis, Summerfield; son, Dillon T. Eason, Summerfield; daughter, Alexandria N. Eason, Summerfield; parents, David and Rose Lewis, Oxford; brothers, Larry W. Lewis, Fruitland Park and Warren D. Lewis, Winder, Ga.; and sister, Carol L. Bulling, Ocklawaha.

OCALA — Margaret L. Lofton, 92, a homemaker, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, at Harborside Healthcare of Ocala.
A native of Grafton, Ill., she moved here from Rock Hall, Md., in 1987. Mrs. Lofton was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and Emmaus Group at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse H. Lofton; and son, William H. Lofton.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty J. Chiota, Ocala; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

OCALA — Lucile Long, 65, a retired office secretary for the city of Ocala, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001, at Sylvia's Hospice House.
A native of St. Augustine, she was a longtime resident of Ocala. Mrs. Long was a member of Highlands Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a son, Reuben Long.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald Long, Ocala; sons, Donald B. Long, Melrose, Mark Long and Wayne Long, both of Ocala; and three grandchildren.

OCALA — Evelyn G. Morton, 75, a homemaker, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, at Surrey Place of Ocala.
A native of Plaistow, N.H., she moved here from Haverhill, Mass., in 1986. Mrs. Morton was a member of First Baptist Church.
She was a member of Helping Hands. Survivors include her husband, Robert Morton, Ocala; sons, Robert S. Morton, Ocala and John Fruci, Tampa; daughters, Sandra L. Colantoni, Ocala and Patti L. Brounell, Boynton Beach; brother, Elbridge Peabody, Amesbury, Mass.; sister, Lorraine Torrey, Newbury, Vt.; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

PENSACOLA — Katherine Rawls Slappey, 94, died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2001, at her home.
A native of Lake City, she was a longtime resident of Dunnellon. Mrs. Slappey was an active member of Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon B. Slappey; and son, Thomas E. Slappey.
Survivors include her sons, Gordon B. Slappey Jr., Memphis, Tenn., and Robert L. Slappey, Monticello; daughter, Suzanne S. Carlton, Pensacola; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A native of Paterson, N.J., she moved here from Hialeah 22 years ago. Mrs. Stanley was Catholic.
Survivors include her husband, Harry Stanley, Ocala; daughters, Kerry S. Curtain, Davie and Erin B. Kelly, West Palm Beach; sons, Thomas Vancheri, North Lauderdale, William Vancheri, Weston and Ronald Vancheri, Apopka; sister, Delores Amero, Paterson; brother, Roy Morbito, Orange Springs; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore C. Bell; and a son, Larry N. Bell.

Survivors include his wife, Carmen Carrasquillo, Belleview; son, Sam Carrasquillo, Belleview; daughters, Mildred Carrasquillo, Belleview; Tina Lopez, Ocala, Rebecca Carrasquillo, Belleview, Maritza Carrasquillo, Belleview, and Carmen Montalvo, Puerto Rico; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
