OCKLAWAHA — Jeffrey Michael Held, 41, an automotive body paint and repairman, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of St. Petersburg, he moved here from Cleveland, Tenn., two years ago. Mr. Held was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Survivors include his mother, Karen Holmes, Ocklawaha; sons, Khristopher M. Held and Jason M. Held, both of Ocklawaha; and sisters, Patricia Fredericks, Ocklawaha, Terry M. Harrington and Laura Thompson, both of Belleview.

S. Edith Hill, 80
OCALA — S. Edith Hill, 80, a homemaker, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001.
A native of Greene County, Pa., she moved here from Tampa in 1992. Mrs. Hill was an avid bridge player.
Survivors include her husband, Gene H. Hill, Ocala; son, Gary L. Hill, Brewton, Ala.; daughter, Patty J. Strohmenger, Panama City; brothers, Wayne Halfin, Point Marion, Pa., and Herman Halfin, Menominee, Wis.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Howard R. Holloway Jr., 56
BEVERLY HILLS — Howard R. Holloway Jr., 56, a roofer, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001.
A native of Brockton, Mass., he moved here from Middleboro, Mass., in 1998. Mr. Holloway served in the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam. He was Catholic.
Survivors include his sons, Mark Holloway and Jason Holloway, both of Mansfield, Mass.; father, Howard R. Holloway Sr., Naples; mother, Maryann Holloway, Middleboro; and sisters, Lorraine Simpson, Indianapolis, Sheila Pasteris, Tauton, Mass., Barbara Cope and Diane Mola, both of Middleboro.

Louise M. Lange, 78
OCALA — Louise M. Lange, 78, a homemaker, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at TimberRidge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A native of New York City, she moved here from Long Island, N.Y., in 1992. Mrs. Lange was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church; New York and New Jersey Club, On Top of the World; and Women of the World Club.
Survivors include her husband, George F. Lange, Ocala; daughters, Geraldine Brooks, West Babylon, N.Y., and Carolyn Hess, Long Island; sisters, Betty Ryerson, Rene Wain and Barbara Berrenger, all of Long Island; brother, Robert McGuire, Long Island; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

BEVERLY HILLS — Claire C. Owens, 81, a homemaker, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, in Casselberry.
Mrs. Owens was a native of Jersey City, N.J. She was a former member of Beverly Hills Community Church and Beverly Hills Recreation Club. Mrs. Owens was Methodist.
Survivors include her sons, Robert Owens, Deltona, and Williams Owens, Arlington Heights, Ill.; and four grandchildren.

Marvin P. Rathmann, 64
OCALA — Marvin Peter Rathmann, 64, a salesman, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001.
A native of Anamosa, Iowa, he moved here in 1966. Mr. Rathmann was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his mother, Jennie Rathmann, Iowa; son, Michael Rathmann, Sierra Vista, Ariz.; daughter, Christy R. Welch, Brandon; brothers, John S. Rathmann, Citra, and Jim B. Rathmann, Iowa; sister, Joann E. Tydings, West Palm Beach; companion, Mary L. Roberts, Ocala; and eight grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marion County.

Rex E. Rogers, 82
OCKLAWAHA — Rex E. Rogers, 82, a business owner, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001.
A native of Mason County, W.Va., he moved here from Clearwater in 1981. Mr. Rogers was owner and operator of Roger's Upholstery Shop. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans. Mr. Rogers served in the U.S. Army. He was Methodist.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha Rogers, Ocklawaha; sons, Richard Rogers, Inmann, S.C., and John Rogers, Tulsa, Okla.; daughter, Susan Rogers, Tampa; sisters, Inez Camdon, Point Pleasant, W. Va., Agnes Bauman and Phylis Adams, both of Delaware, Ohio; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Mollie E. Schwartz, 92
LECANTO — Mollie E. Schwartz, 92, a homemaker, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at Seven Rivers Community Hospital.
A native of New York City, she moved here three years ago. Mrs. Schwartz was Jewish.
She is survived by her daughter, Anita Crisson, New York City; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Maria T. Seda-Droz,
OCALA — Maria Theresa Seda-Droz, 99, a retired public school teacher, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at Palm Garden of Ocala.
A native of Coamo, Puerto Rico, she moved here from Tampa in 1993. Mrs. Seda-Droz was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church and Teachers Association of Puerto Rico.
Survivors include her daughters, Priscilla Suarez, Ocala, Silvia Droz-Reyes, Land O'Lakes and Betty Del Rio, Mount Dora; son, Rafael E. Droz-Seda, Miramar; sister, Vigermina Seda, Puerto Rico; brothers, Miguel A. Seda, Brooklyn, N.Y., Pedro Seda, Coamo; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Edgar A. Sowell Jr., 74
OCALA — Edgar A. Sowell Jr., 74, retired from the U.S. Marine Corps, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001.
A native of Fort Lauderdale, he moved here from Harmony, N.C., in 1994. Mr. Sowell was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 8083 in Belleview. He served in the Marines during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Wylie J. Sowell, Ocala; stepdaughter, Jamie L. Hassell, Portsmouth, Va.; sons, David F. Sowell and Greg P. Sowell, both of Fort Lauderdale; and one grandchild.

OCALA — Margaret A. Then, 96, a registered nurse, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001.
A native of Bayonne, N.J., she moved here from Long Island, N.Y., in 1985. Mrs. Then was Protestant.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Matthias Then.
Survivors include her sons, Nicholas Then, Durham, N.C., and John W. Then, Ocala; daughter, Patricia A. Kimbrough, Long Island; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A native of Orlando, she moved here from Newark, N.J., in 1992. Mrs. Wagner was a member of Zion United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Edna Levins, Ocala; and sister, Rosalie Johnson, Ocala.

Burrel D. Wiggins, 72
LEESBURG — Burrell David Wiggins, 72, a retired truck driver, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001.
Mr. Wiggins was a native of Romeo. He was a Masonic Lodge member. Mr. Wiggins was a U.S. Army veteran. He was Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Katie R. Wiggins, Leesburg; son, Burrel Wiggins, Houston; daughter, Tracey A. Moore, Indianapolis; stepdaughters, Myrtle Suggs, Fruitland Park, and Carol Eckerdt, Panama City; and sister, Magnolia, Miss.

Robert J. Yonelunas, 62
BEVERLY HILLS — Robert John Yonelunas, 62, a retired air conditioning engineer, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001.
A native of Manhassett, N.Y., he moved here from Slate Hill, N.Y., in 1995. Mr. Yonelunas worked with the Seeing Eye Dog Foundation. He was Catholic.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Gloria J. Yonelunas, Beverly Hills; son, Robert J. Yonelunas, Middletown, N.Y.; daughters, Barbara J. Richardson, Jupiter; Lori Yonelunas, Campbell, Calif.; mother, Helen Yonelunas, Beverly Hills; and one grandchild.

Scott M. Baird, 23
GAINESVILLE — Scott Matthew Baird, 23, a law enforcement officer with Gainesville Police Department, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001.
A native of West Palm Beach, he moved to Gainesville from Ocala in 1995. Mr. Baird was a graduate of Lake Weir High School and attended Santa Fe Community College and University of Florida. He enjoyed reading, music and watching movies. Mr. Baird was Catholic.
Survivors include his father, Sonny Baird, Orlando; mother, Kelly F. Gaudet, Belleview; stepmother, Dina Baird, Orlando; stepfather, Andrus Gaudet, Belleview; brother, Buddy Baird, Ocala; sister, Kristina Baird, Belleview; paternal grandparents, Walter and Charlotte Baird Jr., Ocala, and maternal grandparents, Blaise and Jackie Emidy, Ocala.
