Locke-Welton - Chaffee
Saturday June 7, 2003

Gordon Chaffee and Cindy Locke-Welton were united in marriage March 1, 2003, at the American Legion Hall in Newport.

Ann Berrio, justice of the peace, conducted the ceremony.

The bride wore a white satin gown. Felicia Welton, daughter of the bride, served as maid of honor and wore a slate blue satin gown.

Sean Welton, son of the bride, served as best man. He toasted the couple, saying "May they live in peace and prosperity and may they ride like crazy!"

After the ceremony, the couple and the guests danced to the music of Hoochi Lombardo, friends of the couple. A wedding cake was made by Sandy Poginy, sister of the bride. Shawn Straffin of West Burke, friend of the couple, took photographs.

Following a wedding trip snowmobiling in Maine, the couple reside in Barton. They plan to spend their first anniversary at Daytona Beach Bike Week.

Fournier - Morin
Saturday October 12, 2002

Heidi Elizabeth Fournier and Chad Michael Morin were united in marriage July 20, 2002, at St. Monica's Church in Barre.

Following a wedding trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple reside in Baltimore, Md.

Heidi is the daughter of Richard and Cheryl Fournier of Barre and the granddaughter of Gerald and Clara Aubin of Lyndonville. The bride is a graduate of Spaulding High School and Elmira College in New York. She is a registered nurse in the neo-natal unit of Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore.

Chad is the son of James and Suzanne Morin of Lewiston, Maine. The groom is a graduate of St. Dominic's High School and also Elmira College. He is a registered nurse in the coronary care unit at Johns Hopkins.

Olsen - Lint
Saturday July 6, 2002

Joan (Moore) Olsen and Theodore "Ted" M. Lint, both of St. Johnsbury, were united in marriage May 25, 2002, at the Lincoln Inn in St. Johnsbury.

The 2 p.m., double-ring ceremony was performed by Ann Laferriere, justice of the peace. Pastel flowers decorated the fireplace and mantel where the wedding ceremony took place, as well as the reception area.

The bride wore a short-sleeved, sage, long-tiered gown adorned with matching sequins. She carried a bouquet of pink tulips.

Kristina Olsen, daughter of the bride, served as maid of honor. She carried a bouquet of pink tulips. Scott Olsen, son of the bride, was the best man.

The reception was also held at the Lincoln Inn. The square wedding cake was topped with a small, heart-shaped cake and decorated with flowers piping.

Following a wedding trip to Boston, Mass., the couple reside in St. Johnsbury.

The bride is the daughter of Josephine Moore of Winter Garden, Fla., and the late Dr. John Moore. She is a 1964 graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy, a 1966 graduate of Champlain College and a 1994 graduate of Johnson State College. She is employed by UVM Extension in St. Johnsbury.

The groom is the son of Phyllis Sanborn of Littleton and Theodore Lint Sr. of New York. He is a graduate of Baldwin High School, Baldwin, N.Y. and is employed by Gilmour Ford-Chrysler Inc. in St. Johnsbury.

Johnson - Choiniere
Saturday February 22, 2003

Angela Johnson of Whitefield, N.H., and Nathan Choiniere of Burke were united in marriage Sept. 14, 2002, at the Bandstand Park in Lyndonville.

The 3:30 p.m., double-ring ceremony was performed by Norman Messier.

The bride wore a strapless white gown adorned with sequins and embroidered flowers, with a button-down back and a short train. She carried a cascading bouquet of Asiatic lillies and long-stemmed pink roses.

Jessica Brooks served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Amy Graham; Danielle Aldrich, sister of the groom; and Crystal Wright, cousin of the bride. Attendants wore royal blue gowns featuring lace overlays on the bodice and carried bouquets of sunflowers and assorted long-stemmed wild flowers.

Hercules Quintavalle served as best man. Groomsmen were Eric Barrett; Justin Choiniere, brother of groom; and Rodric Aldrich, brother-in-law of the groom.

The reception was held at the Littleton, NH Elks Club. The three-tiered cake was a mix of carrot, marble, yellow and chocolate cake. The cake top featured yellow lillies, and mini sunflowers surrounded the bottom layer of the cake.

Following a wedding trip to the Dominican Republic, the couple reside in St. Johnsbury.

The bride is the daughter of Margarette Johnson of Whitefield, NH. She is a 1999 graduate of Lyndon State College with a bachelor's degree in human services. She is employed at the Common Ground in Littleton, NH.

The groom is the son of Francine and James Choiniere of Burke. He is a graduate of Cobleskills College in New York with a degree in soil management. He is employed by Northeast Agriculture and Sales in Lyndonville.

Gregory - Metras
Saturday August 2, 2003

Margaret Gregory of Lyndonville and Roger Metras of Newport were united in marriage Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002, at 12:30 p.m. aboard the M/S Mt. Washington on Lake Winnepesaukee in Weirs Beach, N.H., in a double-ring ceremony.

Given away by her stepfather, the bride wore a white satin A-line gown featuring caviar beading and embroidered sequin accents on the bodice and along the banded chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of cream and lilac colored roses accented with short sprigs of eucalyptus.

Elizabeth Gregory, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. The bride was also attended by Joyce Oliver, sister of the groom. Sarah Oliver, niece of the groom, was the flower girl. Attendants wore eggplant floor-length gowns with empire waists, lace-covered bodices and rosette backs with detachable trains. They carried bouquets of cream roses, yellow freesia and accents of eucalyptus.

Jason Metras, brother of the groom, served as best man. Tom Oliver, brother-in-law of the groom, was the usher, and Thomas Oliver, nephew of the groom, was the ring bearer.

A reception was also held aboard the M/S Mt. Washington. The three-tiered cake was decorated with a fondant scarf draped along the side and clusters of natural flowers.

Following a week-long trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple reside in Littleton.

The bride is the daughter of John and Marie (Hemond) Dinsmore of Lyndonville. She is a 1999 graduate of Lyndon State College and a 1995 graduate of Lyndon Institute. She is employed as an accountant with Driscoll & Co., PLLC in Littleton.

The groom is the son of Moise and Esther Metras of Newport. He is a 1998 graduate of Lyndon State College and a 1994 graduate of North Country Union High School. He is employed as an accountant with Garnet Hill in Franconia, N.H.

Rainville - Brunetti
Saturday September 21, 2002

Cheryl L. Rainville of South Boston, Mass., and formerly of St. Johnsbury, and Robert G. Brunetti, also of South Boston, were united in marriage May 11, 2002, at St. Anthony's Church in Falmouth, Mass.

Father Costello presided over the 2 p.m. ceremony.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless, white satin A-line gown with a dropped waist, silver embroidery and beading at the neckline and waistline, and a sweep train. She also wore a cathedral-length veil and carried a bouquet of white calla lilies, white lilacs and greenery.

Cassandra Sherry, friend of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Katelyn Key, friend of the bride; Stephanie Brunetti, sister of the groom; and Patricia Brunetti, sister of the groom. Attendants wore two-piece, sleeveless, pale lavender gowns with bateau necklines and A-line skirts. They carried bouquets of lilacs and sweet peas.

Dr. James Brunetti and Michael Brunetti, brothers of the groom, served as best men. Ushers were Jeffrey Rainville, brother of the bride; and Sylvester Pecora, cousin of the groom.

An evening reception was held at the Coonamessett Inn in Falmouth, Mass.

Following a two-week wedding trip to the islands of Kauai and Maui, Hawaii, the couple reside in South Boston.

The bride is the daughter of L. Arthur and Ida W. Rainville of Danville. She is a 1993 graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy, a 1996 graduate of the University of Vermont with a bachelor of arts degree in English, and a 1999 graduate of the University of Chicago Law School with a Juris Doctor degree. She is employed as an attorney with the law firm of Goodwin Procter LLP in Boston.

The groom is the son of James A. and Fedelia Brunetti of Stratford, Conn. He is a 1987 graduate of Central Bucks High School East, a 1992 graduate of Northeastern University with a bachelor of arts degree in civil engineering, and a 1999 graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a master of business administration degree. He is employed as a construction management consultant for Bechtel Corp. on the Big Dig project in Boston.

MacQuarrie - O'Malley
Saturday October 5, 2002

Allyson MacQuarrie of Liverpool, N.Y., and Ryan O'Malley of Waterford were united in marriage June 1, 2002, on the terrace of the Saranac Hotel in Saranac Lake, N.Y.

The ceremony was officiated by Pastor Clark of the Saranac Lake Baptist Church. A reception was also held at the hotel, where the couple was employed.

The bride is the daughter of Russell and Michelle Heater of Syracuse, N.Y. She is a 1997 graduate of the Liverpool High School and a 2000 graduate of Paul Smith's College in Paul Smith, N.Y., with an associate's degree in culinary arts.

The groom is the son of James and Wendy O'Malley of Waterford. He is a 1996 graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy and a 2001 graduate of Paul Smith's College with a bachelor's degree in culinary arts.

The couple recently relocated to Waterford.

Machell - Daniels
Saturday January 24, 2004

Heather Machell of Danville, and Jerry H. Daniels Jr. of Alabama were united in marriage Oct. 12, 2003, at High Plains Chapel in Cheyenne, Wyo.

The 3 p.m., single-ring ceremony was officiated by Chaplain Noel. The bride was given away by Staff Sgt. Desmond Gusimat. She wore a white satin, spaghetti strap gown with beadwork adorning the bodice. She carried a bouquet of red roses.

Kate Wakefield served as the maid of honor, and Clint Shepard was the best man.

A reception was held at the Village Inn in Cheyenne. The chocolate wedding cake was decorated with flowers.

The bride is the daughter of Amy Haselton of Groton, Vt., and Chris Machell of Michigan. A 2002 graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy, she served as an airman in the U.S. Air Force.

The groom is the son of Dora and Jerry Daniels Sr. of Florida. A 2001 graduate of Chapman High School in Kansas, he is serving as an airman first class with the U.S. Air Force, currently stationed in Japan.

Welch - Carr
Saturday January 31, 2004

Gloria A. Welch of Monroe, N.H., and Jim T. Carr of Lyman, N.H., were united in marriage Oct. 1, 2003, at the North Monroe home of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Stanton.

The 11 a.m. ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Richard Hanson, pastor of the Monroe Methodist Church. Special music was played by organist Joyce DeWitt.

The bride was given away by Gerry LaFlamme, friend of the bride. The flower girls, Amanda and Brittany Regis, carried the rings on white pillows. Attendants were Elaine Dean, maid of honor; and Carol Robinson. Groomsmen were Robert Dean, best man; and Jim Bunker.

The five-tiered wedding cake was made by Marilyn Bedell, friend of the bride. Following a wedding trip to Pittsburg, N.H., the couple reside in Monroe.

The bride is the daughter of Evelyn G. Harris of Monroe and the late Edward Harris. She is employed by North Country Farms in Monroe.

The groom is the son of Olive Carr of Ozark, Ala. He is employed by Hitchiner Manufacturing in Littleton, N.H.
