ADA — Kelli Godwin, Shawnee, and Travis Brown, Oklahoma City, were united in marriage July 30, 2005, at the First United Methodist Church, Ada. Greg McCortney officiated the 6 p.m. ceremony. Soloist was Jake Godwin, brother of the bride, Hollywood, Calif., and Kellie Humphrey, Ada. They were accompanied by Rozzie Purdy, Ada.

The bride is the daughter of Vicki and Tracy Godwin, Ada, and the granddaughter of Edna Stallings, Marjo Hudson, both of Ada, Wayne and Shirley Whiten, Colleyville, Texas, Jan Doss, Maysville, Theron Godwin, Ardmore, the late J. B. Stallings, and the late Ray Doss.

The groom is the son of Francis Brown, Coalgate, and the late Victor Brown, and the grandson of Eunice Powell, Alice Brown, both of Coalgate, the late Odell Powell and the late Herbert Brown.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Man of honor was Jake Godwin.

Patrick Webb, McAlester, served as best man.

Other attendants included flowergirl, Allison Miller, cousin of the bride, Ardmore; ringbearer, Benjamin Godwin, cousin of the bride, Coppel, Texas; candlelighter, Katelyn Miller, cousin of the bride, Ardmore; ushers, Wendell Godwin, uncle of the bride, Coppel, and Daniel Cabo, Ada; and guest registry, Tabatha Miller, cousin of the bride, Ardmore, and Rebecca Lisle, Shawnee.

A reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, was held at the Elks Lodge. Reception attendants were Brenda Miller, Ardmore, Susie Godwin, Coppel, both aunts of the bride, and Rachel Reavis, Shawnee.

Reception assistants were Tabatha Miller, Rebecca Lisle, Paula Stafford, all of Ada, Linda Thetford and Toni Schiedt, both of Shawnee.

Following a wedding trip to El Diablo Royale Resort, Mexico, the couple has made their home in Shawnee.

Howard, Giddens marry May 7
DALLAS, Texas — Rebecca Lynn Howard, formerly of Ada, Okla., and Chaffra Giddens, both of Dallas, Texas, were married May 7, 2005, at Rin Palace Resort, Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Enrique Martinez officiated the 4 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Jack B. Howard, Ada, and the granddaughter of the late Charles and Millie Drummons and the late Waldo and Marie Howard.

The bridegroom is the son of Marianne Giddens, Duluth, Minn., and Charles and Zoe Giddens, Jackson, Miss., and the grandson of the late Rose Chida.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Maid of honor was Kathryn Lowry, sister of the bride. Best man was Captain William Whitaker.

The bride is a 1990 graduate of Ada High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in forestry from Oklahoma State University. She is attending the Dallas Fire Academy and the University of Texas Southwest Medical School where she is working on her paramedic certification. She is employed as a firefighter with the Dallas Fire Department.

The bridegroom is a 1990 graduate of Duluth Denfeld High School. He received firefighting training from the Avon Fire Department, Avon, Colo., and he attended the Dallas Fire Academy and the University of Texas Medical School where he received his paramedic certification. He is employed as a firefighter with the Dallas Fire Department. He was recently promoted to the rank of first lieutenant.

Pickering, Cothren wed Aug. 27
TIOGA, Texas — Leigh-Anne Pickering and John Cothren, both of The Colony, Texas, were united in marriage Aug. 27, 2005, at The Spirit of the West Resort, Tioga. Coy Arnold officiated the 7 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Kenny and Debbie Pickering, Horatio, Ark., and the granddaughter of LaVerne Pickering, Texarkana, Texas, the late Bill Pickering, the late Lela Richards and the late C.W. Richards.

The bridegroom is the son of Donnie and Phillis Cothren, Stratford,Okla., and the grandson of Mildred McKiddy, Stratford, the late Doyle McKiddy and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Cothren.

Holley Jarrell, Centerton, Ark., served as matron of honor. Bridesmaid was DonEtta Cothren, sister of the bridegroom, Stratford.

Jeff McCarty, Stratford, served as best man. Groomsman was Will Pickering, brother of the bride, Horatio, Ark.

Following a wedding trip to Nassau, Bahamas, the couple has made their home in The Colony, Texas.

Davis, Fixico unite in marriage
SEMINOLE — Jerilyn M. Davis, Sasakwa, and Shaun C. Fixico, Konawa, were united in marriage Sept. 17, 2005, at the Kelly Haney Center, Seminole. Robert Davis officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Marilyn Davis, Sasakwa, and the late J. Mark Howard, and the granddaughter of Jerry and Shirley Howard, Ada, and the late Arthur and Annabelle Davis. She is a 1998 graduate of Sasakwa High School, a 2005 graduate of Seminole State College and is employed at Midwest Commercial, Seminole.

The bridegroom is the son of Terry Fixico, Dustin, and Jamie Hawkins, Maud, and the grandson of Charles Fixico, Henryetta, and Katie Harjo, Konawa. He is a 1996 graduate of Konawa High School and is employed with Wal-Mart, Seminole.

Wedding

Crandall, Stick exchange vows
LIDGERWOOD, N.D. — Holly Lynn Crandall, Lidgerwood, N.D., and Steven J Stick, Ada, were united in marriage at 4 p.m. on April 23, 2005, at the New Hope Presbyterian Church in Castle Rock, Colo. Eric Holmes officiated the ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her father.

The bride is the daughter of DarWayne and Ardie Crandall, Cayuga, N.D. The bridegroom is the son of Cynthia Mitchell, Stonewall, and Joe Stick, Santa Fe, N.M., and the grandson of Cecil Brannon, Stonewall.

Serving as bridesmaids were Shannon Medenwald, Hankinson, N.D., and Kimberly Artinger, San Juan Capistrano, Calif. Both are sisters of the bride. Groomsmen were Brian Armstrong, Atoka, and Bob Stick, Ada, uncle of the bridegroom.

Usher was Kevin Crandall, Lidgerwood, brother of the bride. Bride's personal attendant was Dawn Moeller, Lidgerwood. Other attendants included Joe Stick, father of the groom, Lee and Marlys Ruhn, Oakes, N.D., aunt and uncle of the bride; Whitney and Taylor Medenwald, Hankinson, N.D., nieces of the bride; Bobby and Peggy Saunkeah, Ada, cousins to the bridegroom.

The couple lives in Castle Rock, where the bridegroom is a loss control engineer for Great American Insurance and the bride is a commercial underwriter for Allied Insurance.

Engagement

Worcester, Schafer to wed June 4
ADA — The Rev. and Mrs. Barry Worcester, Ada, announce the engagement of their son, Ben, to Sharyn Schafer, daughter of Dennis and Brenda Schafer, Altus. The couple will be united as one at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2005, at University Christian Church in Manhattan, Kan.

The future bride is a 2001 graduate of Altus High School. She attends Kansas State University and will graduate in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in music education. She is the president of K-State Band Ambassadors and president of Sigma Alpha Iota, the music fraternity for women. She is a drum major in the K-State Marching Band, principal horn in symphony band, a member of the International Horn Society and First Horn; Kansas Intercollegiate Band. She is the granddaughter of Jim and Rosemary Schafer, Dover, Del., and the late Clarence and Myrtle McNatt, Smyrna, Del.

The future bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of Altus High School. He attends Kansas State University and Manhattan Christian College and will graduate in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in music education and bachelor’s of science degree in Bible. He is involved in the K-State Marching Band, symphony band and is president of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia music fraternity. He is the grandson of Leonne and Beulah Worcester, Perkins, and Bob and Sue Patterson, Ponca City.

Alvarez, Galindez wed May 21
ADA — Erica Maria Alvarez, Ada, and Hector David Garcia Galindez, Tampa, Fla., exchanged wedding vows May 21, 2005, at Ada Baptist Temple. Robert Eberle officiated the 2 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Pedro and Charlotte Alvarez, Ada. A 2001 graduate of Byng High School, she graduated in May from Heartland Bible College, Oklahoma City, where she was a Christian education major.

The bridegroom is the son of Gladys Galindez, Tulsa. A 2001 graduate of Westgate Baptist Christian School, he graduated in May from Heartland Bible College where he majored in biblical studies.

Amanda Bolin to wed Brent Sadler
STILLWATER — Amanda Dawn Bolin, Stillwater, and Brent P. Sadler, Perkins, are exchanging wedding vows this summer in Stillwater, Jack Eldred officiating.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Dustin and Tricia Heidrich, Stillwater. She is the granddaughter of Joe and Dorris Williams, Ada, Wayman Riggs, Pauls Valley, and Bob and Merilee Heidrich, Accident Md. She graduates in May from Perkins High School. She is employed by Perkins Drug.

The future bridegroom is the son of Beanie and Debbie Sadler, Perkins. He is the grandson of Wendell and Charlotte Sadler, Perkins, Pete Bostian, Perkins, and the late Josephine Bostian. He graduates in May from Perkins High School and plans to attend Oklahoma State University in the fall. He is employed by Limestone LLC, Perkins.

Crystal Ladd to marry Troy Moore June 11
COALGATE — Crystal Ladd, Jones, and Troy Moore, Coalgate, are exchanging wedding vows June 11, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Choctaw Baptist Church in Choctaw.

The future bride is the daughter of James and Jo Ladd, Coalgate, and Woddy and Norene Homan, Jones.

Parents of the future bridegroom are Odis Moore and Wanda Segovia, Lehigh, and Charles and Francis Gaylor, Coalgate.

The couple will make their home in Coalgate.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Richard and Debbie Cordill, Kingwood, Texas, and the granddaughter of Bill and Norma Cordill, Bartlesville, Donna Scott, Tulsa, and the late Walt Scott. A 1998 Kingwood High School graduate and a 2004 graduate of the University of Oklahoma, where she obtained a degree in elementary education, she is employed at Norman Public Schools.

The future bridegroom is the son of Ron and Judy Davidson, Ada, and the grandson of Harold and Janet McWhorter and Jackey Myers, all of Ada, and the late Bonnie Myers. A 2000 graduate of Ada High School, he will graduate from the University of Oklahoma in 2005. He is employed at McMichael’s Music, Norman.

Perkins, Ulm to exchange vows

ADA — Rebekah Perkins and Spencer Ulm will exchange wedding vows at 5 p.m. May 28, 2005, at the Ada Arts and Heritage Building.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Ed and Lorene Perkins, Atwood, and the granddaughter of Nova Perkins, Atwood, J.W. and Berniece Turner, Ada, and the late Ed Perkins Sr. A 2003 graduate of Holdenville High School, she is attending East Central University and is employed at ECU Linscheid Library.

The future bridegroom is the son of Jim Ulm, Farmington, Ill., and Becky Farris, Shawnee, and the grandson of Donna Reed, Boyton Beach, Fla., Roy Roberts, Farmington, and the late Lawrence and Ruth Ulm. A 2003 graduate of Holdenville High School, he is attending Seminole Junior College and is employed with Zale’s Jewelers, Shawnee.

Blansett, Foster to wed March 19

The future bride is the daughter of Mike and Angela Mariano, Conway, Ark. A 2000 graduate of Ada High School, she will graduate from East Central University in May with a degree in exercise science. She is employed at Rolling Hills Hospital.

The future groom is the son of Terry Pope, Turpin, and Alvin and Mary Ann Blood, Brighton, Colo. A 1999 graduate of Turpin High School, he will graduate from East Central University in May with a degree in business administration. He is employed at Wal-mart.

Ray, Stonecipher to unite March 19

ADA — Lauren Jeanne Ray and Craig Stonecipher, both of Ada, will unite in marriage March 19, 2005, at Slippery Falls Chapel, Tishomingo.

The future bride is the daughter of Don and Nakeeta Nichols, Tishomingo, and Kelley Summers, Ada. A 2003 graduate of Tishomingo High School, she is a student at East Central University.

The future groom is the son of Jackie and Kent Stonecipher, Ada. A 1995 graduate of Ada High School, and a 1999 graduate of East Central University, he is employed by KTLS/BOSS F.M. Radio.

Breanna Collins and Lucas White wed

STILLWATER — Breanna Lea Collins, Edmond, and Lucas Brian White, Stillwater, were united in marriage Jan. 31, 2004, at the Oklahoma Christian Academy. Randy Roper officiated the ceremony, and Randy Johns led the closing prayer. Natalie Reed, Edmond, served as soloist.

The bride is the daughter of Judson and Lynda Lea Collins, Edmond, and the granddaughter of Wib and Juanita Scroggins, and Toby and Evelyn Collins, all of Ada.

The bridegroom is the son of Brian and Julie White, Edmond, and the grandson of Gerald and Junea Lawrence, Winfield, Kan., and Olin and Chauncy White, Ark City, Kan.

Serving as maids of honor were Alyson Henry and Elise Alley. Shelly Collins, sister-in-law of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Leah White, sister of the groom, and Amy Beauchamp.

Serving as best men were Adam Orr, Matthew Lawrence, Cory Orr, Jarrod Lawrence, all cousins of the bridegroom, and Blake Collins, brother of the bride.

A reception was held at the Westwood Church of Christ. The couple took a short trip to Kansas City, Kan. after the ceremony. A delayed honeymoon will occur in the summer, with a trip to Mexico; a wedding gift from the bride’s parents.

The couple will reside in Stillwater where the groom is a second year student of veterinary medicine, and the bride is a registered nurse who recently accepted a position in the emergency room of the Stillwater Hospital. She will also enter graduate school in the fall.

Barrick, Hawkins to wed May 28

ADA — Jennifer Barrick and Isaac Hawkins, both of Ada, will exchange wedding vows May 28, 2005, at the First United Methodist Church. John Haynes will officiate the 4 p.m. ceremony.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Ben and Janet Barrick, Ada, and the granddaughter of Troy and Bernice Lester, Ada, Bea Barrick, Ada, and the late Buster Barrick. A graduate of Ada High School, she graduated from East Central University with a bachelor of science degree in business education and office technology. She is employed with Union Public Schools where she teaches math and coaches basketball, softball, and track.

The future bridegroom is the son of Phillip and Susan Hawkins, Ada, and the grandson of Charlotte Hollis, Ada, the late J.W. Hollis, Calista Hawkins, McAlester, and the late Reuben Hawkins. He is a graduate of Ada High School and a collegiate athlete who will graduate from East Central University in May.

Martin, Drummond to exchange vows

ADA — Diana Martin and Rick Drummond, both of Ada, will exchange vows March 14, 2005, in Negril, Jamaica, West Indies.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Oma Lance Martin, formerly of Ada, and Galen Riggs, York, Pa., and the granddaughter of Sara and Leon Lance, Ada, and Chet and Grace Riggs, Wichita, Kan.

The future bridegroom is the son of Chuck and Millie Drummond, Ada, and the grandson of Charles and Ruth Drummond, Oscar Thomas, and Viola Golden Criswell, all of Ada.

The couple plans to make their home in Ada.

Vanlandingham, Davis to unite July 16

SEMINOLE — Amanda Vanlandingham and Zack Davis, both of Seminole, will unite in marriage July 16, 2005, at the First Baptist Church.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of James Vanlandingham and Tina Vanlandingham, both of Stratford. She is the granddaughter of George and Lynda Vanlandingham, Fargo, Okla., Ronnie and Linda Mosley, Tom and Lenora Childress, and LaDon and Dana Miller, all of Stratford.

A 2004 graduate of Stratford High School, she attends Seminole State College, where she is majoring in social work.

The future bridegroom is the son of Rick and Sherry Davis, Seminole. He is the grandson of Glenn and Inis Sigle, Agra, Okla., and Jack and Maxine Davis, Seminole.

A 2003 graduate of Seminole High School, he works as a journeyman for Davis Electric.
