JESSIE LeROY CATON
Jessie LeRoy Caton LCDR, USN Retired, 78, of Pensacola, died Saturday, November 20, 1999 in Orangs Park, Florida.
Mr. Caton was born in Andalusia, AL and later attended the University of Georgia. During WWII, Mr. Caton was a Flight Instructor at Whiting Field, Milton, Florida. Mr. Caton later flew multi-engine aircraft in the Pacific and after medical retirement from the Navy, he retired first to Tifton, Georgia and later to Pensacola. He worked with Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company for over twenty years. Mr. Caton was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Bower Caton and a son, Gary S. Caton.
Mr. Caton is survived by a daughter, Clarice Gall of Orange Park, FL; son, Randall B. Caton of Gainsville, FL; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 24, 1999 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with a Navy Chaplin officiating.
Burial will be in the Barrancas National Cemetery with military honors.
HARPER-MORRIS MEMORIAL CHAPEL is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Navy Marine Corp. Relief Society, 153 Ellyson Ave., Suite B, Pensacola, FL 32508.

MRS. ELEANOR LEE GALLOPS GRANT
Mrs. Eleanor Lee Gallops Grant, 70, formerly of Pace, died Saturday, November 20, 1999 at her daughters home in Mississippi.
Mrs. Grant was a native and longtime resident of Santa Rosa County before moving four years ago to Senatobia, MS. She was a retired Medical Secretary with 25 years of service. She worked for Dr. Dale York, Dr. Amos Prevatt, Dr. J. Howell Martin and many others. She was a member of the American Medical Association and past President of Escambia Co. Chapter of American Medical Assistants Association. She was an active member of the Pace Assembly of God Church, served at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church and Bagdad Assembly of God Church. She had a special love for Children's Ministries.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wilburn Grant, her father, Lee Gallops, two brothers, Glyn Gallops, and Cecil Gallops; and a sister, Cleo Emmons.
She is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law, Janice Lynell Waechter and Joe of Winter Springs, FL, and Sylvia Michelle Grant Alford of Senatobia, MS; mother, Maybelle Gallops Plant of Pea Ridge, FL; one grandson, Grant Alford; two granddaughters, Julie Saucer and Meghan Alford; four sisters, Gladys Giddens of Pace, Ruby Knight of Gainesville, FL, Violet Clodfelter of Pace and Carolyn Holton of Pace; two sisters-in-law, Madine Lowery of Pace, FL and Ruth Grant of Texas.
Funeral services for Mrs. Grant will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 1999 at the Pace Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Glyn Lowery, Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow in the Milton Cemetery with Lewis Funeral home directing.
Active Pallbearers will be nephews, Roy Giddens, Greg Clodfelter, Scott Clodfelter, Wayne Emmons, Marvin Fowler, Jr., and Earl Wendt, Jr.

HENRY HOLLEY
Henry Holley, 73, of Pensacola, died Saturday, November 20, 1999 following a brief illness.
Give unto the Lord, O ye mighty,
Give unto the Lord glory and strength.
Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name;
Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. - Psalm 29: 1-2
Saturday, November 20, 1999, the Lord opened the clouds and sent down the angels to bring Henry Holley home to his final resting-place. His journey had finally been completed on this earth and he peacefully slept away.
Henry Holley was born on July 5, 1926 to the late Frank and Derbie Holley of Chumuckla, Florida. Henry shared his life with Katie Mae Holley until her death and from their blessed union, five children were born. Later, he married Ceola Clark and continued in this union until his death on Saturday, November 20, 1999. Henry loved life and would not want us to mourn, so rejoice and praise the Lord for his deliverance for his spirit has been released from the trials and tribulations of this earth.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Ceola Holley; two daughters, Ruby D. Smith and Mary H. Baxter; three sons, John H. Holley, Carl G. Holley, and Francis O. Holley; two sons-in-law, Amos L. Smith and Kenneth A. Baxter; three daughters-in-law, Daisy L. Holley, Catherine A. Holley and Patricia A. Holley; ten grandchildren, Martin, Jasmin, Kevin, Jermaine, Brian, Erin, Katie, Landon, Hiapatia, and Sean; two great-grandchildren, Latashia and Michael; two step-daughters, Laurea Clark and Maytha Clark; one stepson, Lankford Clark; one brother, Clayton Holley of Mobile, Alabama; and one sister, Annie Pearl Causey of Pensacola, Florida; his nieces, nephews, and other relatives will miss him.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, at St. Anthony's of Padua Catholic Church with Father Tom Bonanti, Pastor of St. Anthony's of Padua Catholic Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Martin Holley Smith, Brian Baxter, Amos Jermaine Smith, Landon Holley, Kevin Baxter, and Sean Holley.

LOUISE E. McLAUGHLIN
Louise E. McLaughlin, 64, of Allentown, died Sunday, November 21, 1999 at her residence.
Mrs. McLaughlin was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Mahlon B. McLaughlin of Allentown; son, Edward T. Turk of Allentown; daughter, Kimberly M. (Larry) Kelley of Allentown; daughter, Josiphine Jerrell Johnson of Atmore, AL; three grandchildren, David Smith, Heith Smith, Genia Rutherford of Atmore, AL; one brother, Harvey Burkett of Mobile, AL; three sisters, Myree Morgan of Corpus Christi, TX, Aurelia Watson of Simms, AL and Gwen Knowles of Flomaton, AL; a special sister-in-law, Anna Johnson; a special friend, Charlotte Barnes; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special niece, Alba Lovette.

JAMES CHARLES McMILLAN
James Charles McMillan, also known as Sonny or Mac, 70 years old, took the final leg of his journey home on November 21, 1999. Mr. McMilan was born in Sardis, AL on May 19, 1929.
James' career spanned 40 odd years with Progressive Roofing after a stint in the Army Air Force, but that was only part of his working life. He was a farmer, cattleman, plumber, electrician, carpenter and mechanic. "Jack of all trades" did not begin to describe his talents.
He leaves a large circle of family and friends to cherish memories of a life well spent and fully enjoyed. His wife and soulmate, Mahala Powell McMillan; children, Frankie Cross of Arizona, Lisa Hatch of Texas, Maria Orlandini of Missouri, Ted McMillan of Pensacola, Jeff Bates of Tallahassee and Pat McMillan of Georgia; sisters, Judy Stabler of Fairhope, AL and Pauline Kennedy of Pineapple, AL; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 24, 1999 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Sanders officiating.
Graveside services and burial will be 3 p.m. at Scotland Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Tunnel Springs, AL.
Pallbearers will be Jack Satterwhite, Read Satterwhite, Preston Satterwhite, Ed Emmons, Bobby Shows and Chuck McMillan.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Satterwhite, Pete Powell and Carl Cropsey.

LEO MILLER
Mr. Leo Miller, age 95, of the Wallace Community, died early Monday morning in a local hospital.
Mr. Miller was a native of Enterprise, Alabama and had resided in his Wallace Community residence for the past 55 years. He was retired Civil Service Employee at Pensacola Naval Air Station and was a member of the Wallace Baptist Church. Mr. Miller was an avid fisherman and baseball fan.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Georgia Martin Miller and his daughter, Jean Guernsey.
He is survived by his four daughters, Anne Adams of Tallahassee, Doris (Howard) Nowling of Pace; Virginia (Sunny) Dozier of Allentown, and Carolyn Tidwell of Chumuckla; five sons, Harold (Tommie) Miller of Cottonwood, AL, Wid (Kay) Miller of Austin, TX, Leon (Margaret) Miller of Wallace, Lomax (Gaylier) Miller of Jay, and Neal (Dee) Miller of Pace; his son-in-law, Clinton Guernsey; two brothers, Quenton Miller and Greene Edward Miller; sister, Murl Smith; 39 grandchildren; 70 great grandchildren; and 31 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Miller will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday from the chapel of the Donnie Sowell Funeral Home in Milton. Rev. La Don Hall assisted by Brother Clain Roberts will officiate with interment in the Elizabeth Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Miller's grandsons will serve as his pallbearers and all his grandchildren will serve as his honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.

Madia (Mattie) Cunningham was born on February 24, 1945, in Frisco City, AL. On Thursday, November 18, 1999, at 10:10 a.m., very gently, God reached down, cradled his arm about her, and carried her home to be with him.
She was born to the late Willie and Annie Burrell Cunningham, she was one of ten children born to this union. Other family members that preceded her in death were a sister, Albina Cunningham and a brother, Willie Cunningham, Jr. She was educated in the Conecuh County School System in Evergreen, AL. She accepted Christ as her Savior in her youth and was baptized at Mt. Rose Baptist Church in Repton, AL. As a young women, she moved to Pensacola, FL and later united with Emanuel Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Robert L. Lewis.
She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, William (Yolanda) Cunningham; two granddaughters, Jazzie and Quanish Cunningham of Pensacola, FL; one god son, Michael Stallworth, Jr. of Birmingham, AL; two sisters, Virgie (Van) Dortch of Pensacola, FL and Bruenett Tonstall of Repton, AL; five brothers, Clifton Cunningham, Tommie Cunningham of Englewood, CA, Robert (Misty) Cunningham, John (Mary) Cunningham of Los Angeles, CA and Sammie Cunningham of Pensacola, FL; a devoted sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Erma Cunningham and Van Williams of Pensacola, FL; special cousins, Cleophis Burrell, Penny Williams both of Pensacola, FL, Mae (Bell Star) Cunningham fo Mobile, AL; devoted neighbor and family friend, Ossie Roger; life long friend and classmate, Jeanetta McCorvey of Repton, AL; three aunts, Mary Love of Frisco City, AL, Carrie Lee and Leona Williams, both of Pensacola, FL; one uncle, Ellis Burrell of Predue Hill, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

WOODROW R. ELLIS
Mr. Woodrow R. Ellis, age 85, of Pensacola, died Monday, November 22, 1999 at a Apalachicola Health Care Facility.
He was a native of Bonifay, Florida and became a Pensacola resident in 1944. He was employed as a Shipbuilder and Welder. Mr. Ellis was preceded in death by his wife, Dollie Ellis, and son, James Milton Ellis.
Survivors include his son, Alton Ellis of Pensacola; two daughters, Carolyn Clifton and Inez Mackie of Arlington, TX; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from the graveside Wednesday, November 24, 1999 at 1 p.m. with Rev. William Estes officiating.
Interment will be in Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.

GAINES ENGLISH
Gaines English, 70, of Pensacola, died Friday, November 19, 1999.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie L. English; a son, Anthony (Merion) Green; two daughters, Marchelle (John) Kelley and Deanna English; seven grandchildren; five brothers; three sisters; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday at Damascus Road Baptist Church with Rev. Freddie Augustine, Pastor of St. Peters Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Resthaven Garden Cemetery.

JOHN EDWARD KENNEDY
John Edward Kennedy, 73, died Monday, November 22, 1999.
Jack was born in Canada on March 23, 1926. He graduated from the University of Detroit. Jack served in the Navy in WWII. He retired from Moldex Rubber Co. two years ago. He was preceded in death by daughters, Margaret Mary Kennedy and Sheila Soyka.
His survivors include his wife, Arlene Kennedy; two sons, Kevin Kennedy and Fred Lowell; four daughters, Maureen Kissinger, Heather Kennedy, Kathi Vaughan, and Teri Herring; and sixteen grandchildren.
Jack was a wonderful husband, father, and friend. He will be greatly missed by everyone. He requested not to have services.

Floyd Edward Waldrop, 71, of Jay, died Monday, November 22, 1999 at his home.
Mr. Waldrop was affiliated with Brownsdale Baptist Church. He was retired from Century Corrections Facility and was a veteran the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Sue Waldrop; two sons, Bert Waldrop and Kevin Waldrop; two daughters, Kristie Guerrero and Sherrie Walker; two step- daughters, Casey Taylor and Carrie Taylor; ten grandchildren; and a sister, Madge Randolph.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 26, 1999 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Copeland and Chaplain Edison Burleson officiating.
Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.

KATHLEEN JANE WALKER- RUSSELL
Kathleen Jane Walker-Russell died on November 20, 1999 in a plane crash in New Orleans. She was 45 and would have been 46 on December 7, 1999.
She was a beautiful woman whose love and life was soley devoted to her two children, sisters and mother. Her daughter, Jamie Berry, is newly married and is living in Gulf Breeze. Her son, Ryan, is attending college at UCF.
A memorial service will be held for her, today, Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kathi Walker-Russell fund for her son, Ryan Palusak's education fund, c/o Jamie Berry at the First American Bank.
She is cherished and will be missed greatly.

L.H. WILLIAM
L.H. Williams, 70, a native of Hacoda, AL, and a longtime resident of Pensacola, died Monday, November 22, 1999 at a local hospital.
Mr. Williams was a retired fleet manager for a local beverage company and was active in the Hadji Shrine Temple and Escambia Lodge # 15 F&AM.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; daughter, Julie Daughtry; five sons, Larry, Bill and Robert Williams, all of Pensacola; Steven Williams, Tri-Cities, TN; and James Williams, Fort Worth, TX; one brother, Buel Williams, Jacksonville, FL; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., today, at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
Interment and Masonic Graveside Services will be in Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be members of the Hadji Shrine Temple.
