Clyde J. Graham, 85
OCALA Clyde J. Graham, 85, a homemaker, died Saturday, July 22, 2000, at Sunbridge Care Center.
Mrs. Graham was a native and a lifelong resident of Ocala. She was a member of Mount Pisgah African Methodist Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary L. Simpkins, Lakeland, and Elouise Roberts; brother, Malachi Johnson, both of Ocala; and two grandchildren.

Noah M. Herlong, 14
OCKLAWAHA Noah Michael Benjamin Herlong, 14, a student at Lake Weir Middle School, died Saturday, July 22, 2000, at Shands Hospital in Live Oak.
A native of Elizabeth City, N.C., he moved here from Chesapeake, Va. in 1996. He was Catholic and enjoyed playing video games.
Survivors include his father, Troe Benjamin Herlong, Seminole; mother, Cheryl Ann Southard; stepfather, William R. Southard, both of Ocklawaha; brothers, Bryan Patrick Southard, Ocala, Dustin Kyle Benjamin Herlong and Evan William Southard; sister, Sharon Louise Southard, all of Ocklawaha; grandparents, Bobbie Beasley, Seminole, Jacob Benjamin "Benny" Herlong, Tampa and Sally Ann Freeman, Pinellas Park; step-grandparents, Charles Leon "Buck" Beasley, Seminole and Charlotte "Nanie" Southard, Ocala; and great-grandparents, Albert and Helen Baluh, Pinellas Park and Cuba Lutheria Herlong, Clearwater.

Zita M. Henry, 63
FORT MCCOY Zita M. Henry, 63, a belt and hose cutter in the automotive industry, died Saturday, July 22, 2000.
A native of Chelsea, Mich., she moved here from Tooele, Utah in 1973. Mrs. Henry was Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Arnold Henry, Ocala; sons, Charles B. Henry, Belleview and Gale L. Henry, Ocala; daughter, Jewell B. Erdy, Andalusia, Ala.; brother, Clyde Myers, Grass Lake, Mich.; and seven grandchildren.

Eva S. Holden, 88
INVERNESS Eva Stanley Holden, 88, a former business owner, died Saturday, July 22, 2000.
A native of Marion County, she moved to Inverness from Ocklawaha 63 years ago. Mrs. Holden was former owner and operator of LaMode Beauty Shop. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Inverness; and past worthy matron and member of Order of Eastern Star, Chapter No. 65, Inverness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Alston Holden.
She is survived by several cousins.

Dorothy A. Leftwich, 72
OCALA Dorothy Anne Teel Leftwich, 72, a retired bookkeeper and clerical worker, died Sunday, July 23, 2000, at her home.
A native of Christiansburg, Va., she moved here in 1948. Mrs. Leftwich was a member of the Ocala Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, a former 33-year member of Oak-Griner Baptist Church and a member of Unity Baptist Church in Anthony. She was a graduate of Auburn High School and attended Radford College in Radford, Va.
Survivors include her sons, Kurt Leftwich and Eric Leftwich, both of Ocala; sisters, Irene Talley, Nashville, Tenn., Edith Phillips and Eva Shepperd, both of Christiansburg; and brothers, Ward Teel, Willard Teel and Don Teel, all of Christiansburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to Unity Baptist Church Building Fund.

Joseph A.L. Legros, 71
SUMMERFIELD Joseph A.L. "Lee" Legros, 71, an electrician and carpenter, died Saturday, July 22, 2000, in Tampa.
A native of Fitchburg, Mass., he moved to Summerfield from Brooklyn, N.Y., two years ago. Mr. Legros was owner and operator of LenLee Cabinet Corporation of Brooklyn. He was a retired 20-year U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Veterans Club of Stonecrest and was Catholic.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife Phyllis Legros, Summerfield; daughter, Barbara Lopez, Edgewater; son, Barry S. Legros, Madison, N.J.; sisters, Rita Melanson, Fitchburg, Mass., Claire Trainque, Lunenburg, Mass., Theresa Legros, Littleton, N.H. and Pauline Arsenault, Asheville, N.C.; and four grandchildren.
Memorial contributions can be made to Progressive Supra Nuclear Palsy Foundation.

Clarence Lekas, 80
BEVERLY HILLS Clarence Lekas, 80, owner and operator of a radio and television service, died Sunday, July 23, 2000.
A native of Chicago, he moved to Beverly Hills from Homewood, Ill., 12 years ago. Mr. Lekas was a member of Beverly Hills Community Church and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Theria Belle Pollard Lekas.
Survivors include his daughters, Sandra Lekas Bermann, Princeton, N.J. and Cynthia Cahill, Den Haag, Netherlands; and four grandchildren.

Stephenie R. Saint, 20
OCALA Stephenie Raquel "Nemo" Saint, 20, a missionary, died Sunday, July 23, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Willmar, Minn., she moved here from west Africa in 1986. Miss Saint was a 1998 graduate of Forest High School. She attended Highlands Baptist Church.
Survivors include her parents, Stephen and Ginny Saint, Ocala; and brothers, Shaun Saint, Birmingham, Ala., Jaime Saint and Jesse Saint, both of Gainesville.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Matthew 28:18-20 Charitable Trust.

Alfred Sims, 86
OCALA Alfred Sims, 86, a retired stock clerk for Belk Lindsey Co., died Thursday, July 20, 2000.
Mr. Sims was a native and lifelong resident of Ocala. He was a member of Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Alma Sims, Ocala; brothers, Van Sims, Ocala, Chester Sims, Fort Lauderdale and Andrew Sims, Miami; and sister, Aletha Green, St. Petersburg.

Grady B. Upton, 85
OCALA Grady B. Upton, 85, a retired chief engineer, died Monday, July 24, 2000, at Estelle's Hospice House.
A native of Hollywood, Ala., he moved here from Clearwater 18 years ago. Mr. Upton retired from American Water Systems in Pennsylvania, after 40 years of service. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Upton was Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie Upton, Ocala; daughter, Linda Musaus, Lake Worth; son, Donald B. Upton, Melbourne; sisters, Mary Nell Harper, Grosse Pointe, Mich. and Kathrene Blankenship, Knoxville, Tenn.; brother, Eugene Upton, Chattanooga; and three grandchildren.

George A. White, 90
OCALA George A. White, 90, a retired grease maker, died Thursday, July 20, 2000.
A native of Louisville, Ky., he moved here from Hammond, Ind. in 1975. Mr. White retired from Arco Refinery after 46 years of service. He was Methodist.
Survivors include his daughter, Beverly J. Maggi, Summerfield; five grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Homer H. White, 86
OCALA Homer H. "Tiny" White, a retired U.S. Army major, died Sunday, July 23, 2000, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
A native of Lucille, Ga., he moved here from Dallas in 1969. Maj. White retired from the army after 25 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Maj. White was the recipient of a Silver Star and two Purple Hearts. He was a member of the Retired Officers Association and was Protestant.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth E. White.

Mollie Abraham, 86
INVERNESS Mollie Abraham, 86, a retired clerk, died Monday, July 24, 2000.
A native of Manhattan, N.Y., she moved here from Dania 16 years ago. Mrs. Abraham was Jewish.
She was a retired clerk for the State of New York.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan Ann Abraham, Inverness.

Elizabeth H. Huey, 84
OCALA Elizabeth H. Huey, 84, a retired school teacher, died Saturday, July 22, 2000.
Mrs. Huey was a native of Atlanta and a lifelong resident of Marion County. She was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. She was a teacher at Blessed Trinity, Eighth Street, College Park and N.H. Jones schools. She was one of the founding teachers at St. Paul's School in Leesburg.
Mrs. Huey was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Gordon.
Survivors include her daughters, Elizabeth H. Graveman, Kingsport, Tenn., Sharon C. Huey, Gainesville, Resa H. Crenshaw, Columbia S.C. and C. Janet Huey, Houston; son, Eric G. Huey, West Palm Beach; sisters, Anne H. Gegan, Louisville, Ky. and Dorothy H. Gonzales-Rubio, Barranquilla, Colombia; brother, Lawrence Harrison, Mobile, Ala.; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.

Dennis R. James, 40
HOMOSASSA Dennis Ray James, 40, an electrician, died Monday, July 24, 2000.
A native of Fayetteville, N.C., he moved here from Dothan, Ala., six years ago. Mr. James was an employee of Pro Line Boats in Crystal River. He was Baptist.
Survivors include his sons, Steven James and Kevin James, both of Homosassa; stepsons, Kenneth Tompkins, Homosassa and Robert Tompkins, Key West; daughters, Twila J. James and Celia James, both of Dothan, and Stephanie M. J. Tompkins, Homosassa; mother, Marian Kirk; stepfather, Charles Kirk, both of Dothan; brothers, Marshall James, Erath, La., Kenneth Kellum, Homosassa and Roger Kirk, Dothan; and two grandchildren.
