Walter J. Szturma, 82
BEVERLY HILLS Walter Jacob Szturma, 82, a retired tool and die maker, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2000.
A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., he moved here from New Hyde Park, N.Y., 19 years ago. Mr. Szturma retired from Neptune Meter Co., New York City, after seven years of service. He was past president of Polish-American Social Club, Beverly Hills; a member of Polish-American Club of Pasco County, Hudson; Beverly Hills Surveillance Unit; Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church; and a supervisor of the Craftsmen's Guild.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine Butrym Szturma, Beverly Hills; son, Walter C. Szturma, New Hyde Park; daughter, Patricia Vine, Ringwood, N.J.; sisters, Pauline Watkins, Pilot Mountain, N.C., and Nora Reis, Briarcliff, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.

Beulah M. Taylor, 76
INVERNESS Beulah M. Taylor, 76, a retired health service coordinator for the state of Florida, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2000.
A native of Mabscott, W.Va., she moved here from Plant City five years ago. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Plant City.
Survivors include her sons, Jimmy Hitson, Inverness, and Gene Hitson, Plant City; daughter, Margaret Murphy, Burnsville, N.C.; sister, Hazel Erickson, Tampa; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mamie L. Banks, 68
OCALA Mamie L. Banks, 68, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000, at Cartersville Medical Center in Georgia.
A native of Rochelle, Ga., she moved here from Georgia 50 years ago. Mrs. Banks was a member of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sisters, Irene Poe, Verdell Butts, both of Cleveland, Ohio, Bernice Carter, Ocala, and Willie Mae Holloway, Cartersville, Ga.; brother, James Hunt, Abbeville, Ga., and Matthew G. Hunt Sr., Delray Beach.

Burney Bess Sr., 56
OCALA Burney "Grandpa" Bess Sr., 56, a laborer, died Monday, Oct. 16, 2000, at his home.
Mr. Bess Jr. was a native and a lifelong resident of Raleigh. He was Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Vermell Bess, Ocala; daughters, Henrietta Horne, Eileen Bess, both of Ocala, and Angela Garrison, Gainesville; stepdaughters, Brenda Johnson and Bettye Parrea, both of Ocala; sons, Burney Bess Jr. and Michael Bess, both of Ocala; sister, Henrietta Wilson, Baltimore; brothers, Charles Bess and George Hamilton, both of Ocala; 25 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Viola M. Clark, 90
INVERNESS Viola M. Clark, 90, a homemaker, died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2000.
A native of Canaan, N.Y., she moved here from Pittsfield, Mass., two months ago.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur W. Clark.
Survivors include her sons, Bruce Clark, Inverness and Roger Clark, Palmer, Mass.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Sarah Cox, 48
OCALA Sarah Cox, 48, a homemaker, died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2000, died at her home.
A native of Miami, she was a longtime resident of Ocala. Mrs. Cox was of Holiness faith.
Survivors include her daughters, LaDedra Austin, Ocala and Viola Samuel, Fayetteville, N.C.; sons, Charles Graham and Sherman Austin, both of Ocala; mother, Mary Boyle, Ocala; sisters, Rosia Curbeam and Jeanette Boyles, both of Ocala; brothers, Benjamin Boyles, Clearwater and George McFadden, Ocala; and eight grandchildren.

Edwin L. Drazba, 72
OCALA Edwin L. Drazba, 72, a retired process engineer for Ford Motor Co., died Monday, Oct. 23, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Detroit, he moved here from Taylor, Mich., 11 years ago. Mr. Drazba was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Jennie Drazba, Ocala; daughter, Anne Greenwell, Dearborn, Mich.; sons, Peter Drazba, Allen Park, Mich., and Gerald Drazba, Taylor; and a sister, Virginia Napolitan, Hobe Sound.

OCALA Ronald W. Eppinger, 49, self-employed, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2000, at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Gainesville.
A native of Butler, Pa., he moved here in 1973. Mr. Eppinger was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his mother, Helen Eppinger, Ocala; father, William Eppinger, Ocala; son, Sean Eppinger, Fort McCoy; daughter, Lori Webb, Ocala; brother, Brian Eppinger, Ocala; sister, Sandra English, Ocala; grandmother, Edith Rossman, Williston; fiancee, Nancy Brown, Dunnellon; and five grandchildren.

OCALA Barbara Sue Jeffcoat, 53, a private duty nurse, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2000, at Surrey Place of Ocala.
A native of Arkansas, she moved here from Pennsylvania eight years ago.
Survivors include her daughter, Tara Falcone, Ocklawaha; brothers, Robert Phillips, Ocala and Douglas Dixon, Vermont; sister, Ann Hopkins, Jacksonville; and two grandchildren.

Anthony Licwinko, 76
DUNNELLON Anthony Licwinko, 76, a thoroughbred breeder, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2000.
A native of Conshohocken, Pa., he moved here from Fairview Village, Pa., in 1978. Mr. Licwinko was a member of the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders Association. He was Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Licwinko, Dunnellon; son, Anthony "Ike" Licwinko Jr., Coral Springs; daughter, Karen Fraser, Weston; brothers, Benjamin Licwinko, Rockhall, Md., and Phil Licwinko, Norristown, Pa.; sisters, Joanne Rega, West Chester, Pa., and Mickey Butville, Clearwater; and three grandchildren.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Nicholas Luongo Sr., 68
OCALA Nicholas Luongo Sr., 68, a retired salesman, died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2000, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
A native of Bronx, N.Y., he moved here from Orlando in 1971. Mr. Luongo Sr. was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Luongo, Ocala; daughter, Kathy Luongo, Ocala; sons, Nicholas Luongo Jr., and David A. Luongo, both of Ocala; sisters, Dolly Trifano, Huntington, Conn., Marie Taddeo, Bronx, and Anna Gentile, Pensacola; brother, Daniel Luongo, Ocala; and eight grandchildren.

James E. Moulder, 75
SALT SPRINGS James E. Moulder, 75, a dry wall finisher, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2000, at Putnam Community Medical Center.
A native of Forsyth County, Ga., he moved to Salt Springs from Tampa in 1968. Mr. Moulder was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post No. 10208 in Salt Springs.
Survivors include his daughters, Brenda Pinner, Palatka, Melanie Page, Salt Springs, and Betty Davis, Ocala; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Clyde Phalen, 77
OCALA Clyde Phalen, 77, a retired truck driver, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2000.
A native of New Orleans, he moved here from Rockford, Ill., in 1984. Mr. Phalen was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post No. 2009; Teamster Retirees Club, Local No. 325, Rockford; Tri-I Club, Rolling Greens; Loyal Order of the Moose; and St. George Anglican Church. He was an avid bowler.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Phalen, Ocala; sons, Tony Phalen, Tulsa, Okla., Terry Phalen, Chicago and Tracy Phalen, Ocala; daughter, Tina Hitch, Rockford; and four grandchildren.
