EVA WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO CARL BARBEE ON MAY 2, 1927 IN ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI AND TO THIS UNION FOUR CHILDREN WERE BORN. CARL PRECEDED HIS WIFE IN DEATH ON JUNE 20, 1978.

SHE IS SURVIVED BY HER MOTHER, LEVA PROVINCE OF IRONDALE, MISSOURI, HER HUSBAND, ROBERT NIXON OF MINERAL POINT, MISSOURI, ONE DAUGHTER, PATRICIA WHALEY AND HUSBAND BOB OF DESOTO, MISSOURI, ONE SON, MICHAEL NIXON AND WIFE BETTY OF MINERAL POINT, MISSOURI, ONE GRANDDAUGHTER, LISA STEINMANN AND HUSBAND SCOTT OF FESTUS, MISSOURI, THREE GRANDSONS, JEFF WHALEY OF DESOTO, MISSOURI, SHANE NIXON AND WIFE LORI OF MINERAL POINT, MISSOURI, AND BRANDON NIXON AND WIFE KAREN OF MINERAL POINT, MISSOURI, THREE GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, CARLEY NIXON, ETHAN NIXON AND AUSTIN NIXON ALL OF MINERAL POINT, MISSOURI, ONE SISTER, LOUISE WILLIAMS AND HUSBAND CHESTER OF BARNHART, MISSOURI, ONE BROTHER, VERNON PROVINCE OF IRONDALE, MISSOURI AND SEVERAL NIECES, NEPHEWS AND MANY OTHER RELATIVE AND FRIENDS. JEAN'S FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HER BY HER GARDENING SKILLS, ALWAYS HAVING BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS THROUGHOUT HER YARD. HER EXPERTISE IN NEEDLE WORK WAS EVIDENT IN HER SEWING, CROCHETING AND EMBROIDERING SKILLS. DURING JEAN'S YOUNGER DAYS SHE ENJOYED ICE SKATING AND ROLLER SKATING FOR FUN AND EXERCISE. JEAN WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED BY HER LOVING AND GENEROUS ATTITUDE TOWARDS FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

LEATTA DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT THE PARKLAND HEALTH CENTER IN FARMINGTON, MISSOURI ON APRIL 25, 2002 HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF SEVENTY-ONE YEARS AND FOUR MONTHS.
LEATTA WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO ROY COLEMAN AND TO THIS UNION FOUR CHILDREN WERE BORN. ROY PRECEDED LEATTA IN DEATH IN 1985. LEATTA WAS ALSO UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO CLAYTON BROCK ON FEBRUARY 3, 1996 IN DESLOGE, MISSOURI.

LEATTA HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR ANIMALS AND ESPECIALLY THOSE ANIMALS THAT NEEDED A GOOD HOME. HER FAVORITE DOG WAS ANNIE AND HER FAVORITE CAT WAS EBONY. LEATTA WAS LOVED BY MANY PEOPLE WHO WILL MISS HER DEARLY.

VERNON DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT THE GEORGIAN GARDENS NURSING HOME IN POTOSI, MISSOURI HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF SEVENTY-SEVEN YEARS, FIVE MONTHS AND SIX DAYS.
HE IS SURVIVED BY TWO SISTERS, ERNA JUNE MEYER OF SUN CITY WEST, Arizona AND DOROTHY BECKER AND HUSBAND JOHN OF KIRKWOOD, MISSOURI, THREE BROTHERS, JACK STROTHER AND WIFE FAY OF HERCULANEUM, MISSOURI, RALPH STROTHER AND WIFE DONNA OF CALEDONIA, MISSOURI AND ALLEN STROTHER AND WIFE FE OF KIRKWOOD, MISSOURI.
VERNON LOVED TO SPEND TIME WATCHING THE ST. LOUIS CARDINALS. BASEBALL WAS A GREAT LOVE OF HIS LIFE. VERNON ENJOYED SPENDING TIME WITH HIS FAMILY, EACH OF THEM HELD A VERY SPECIAL PLACE IN HIS HEART.
VISITATION WAS HELD 4:30 PM TO 9:00 PM ON SUNDAY, APRIL 28, 2002 AND 10:00 AM TO 1:00 PM ON MONDAY, APRIL 29, 2002 AND THE MOORE FUNERAL HOME, IRONDALE.

HERB DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT THE JEFFERSON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN FESTUS, MISSOURI ON APRIL 27, 2002 HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF SEVENTY-FOUR YEARS, SEVEN MONTHS AND SIX DAYS.
HERB WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO JANICE (EGBERT) HUFF ON MARCH 14, 1953 AND TO THIS UNION FOUR CHILDREN WERE BORN. JANICE PRECEDED HER HUSBAND IN DEATH ON JANUARY 22, 2001.
HE IS SURVIVED BY TWO DAUGHTERS, DEBBIE FRENCH OF SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI AND MISSY MERCER AND HUSBAND ALLEN OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, TWO SONS, TONY HUFF OF POTOSI, MISSOURI AND KIRK HUFF AND SISSY OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, FOUR GRANDCHILDREN, AMY KITCHELL AND HUSBAND KENNY OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, FREDDIE NIXON OF MINERAL POINT, MISSOURI, MEAGAN MERCER OF POTOSI, MISSOURI AND JARED MERCER OF POTOSI, MISSOURI. IN ADDITION TO HIS MOTHER HE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY ONE SON, HERB HUFF JR.
HERB WAS A LONG TIME MEMBER OF THE POTOSI SOUTHERN BAPTIST CHURCH.
HERB ENJOYED SPENDING TIME WITH HIS FAMILY, ESPECIALLY HIS GRANDCHILDREN. HE WAS A LIFE MEMBER OF THE POTOSI ELKS LODGE AND HAD A LIFETIME CAREER AS A MEAT CUTTER, WORKING FOR KROGER, OWNED AND OPERATED POTOSI LOCKER PLANT, WARD'S FOOD MART IN POTOSI AND AT MANY OTHER LOCAL GROCERY AND MEAT STORES. HE ALSO ENJOYED PLAYING CARDS AND TRYING HIS LUCK AT THE HORSE RACES. HERB WILL BE SADLY MISSED BY HIS FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.
VISITATION WAS HELD 5:00 PM TO 9:00 PM ON MONDAY, APRIL 29, 2002 AND 9:00 AM TO 11:00 AM TUESDAY, APRIL 30, 2002 AT THE MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
