Mr. Walton Ralph Jackson, age 82, died Sunday, January 23, 2005 at his residence.
Born in Bladen County on September 23, 1922, W.R. was the son of the late Needham James Jackson, Sr. and Mae Dowless Jackson. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Gene Ferguson Jackson and his grandson, Jonathan Alan Jackson; his brothers, Needham Jackson, Jr. and Leon George Jackson. Mr. Jackson, a World War II Navy Veteran, was a member of Carvers Creek United Methodist Church and a member of Masonic Lodge #596. He was an avid sportsman and a retired farmer.
He is survived by his three sons and their wives: David and Kathy Jackson of Greenville, SC; Bill and Denette Jackson of Clarkton; and Donald and Darleen Jackson of Carvers Creek; four Grandchildren; April Jackson, Kelly J. Garland, Mike Jackson and Donna Gene Jackson and two Great-Granddaughters, Abigail Garland and Farah Jackson.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Carvers Creek United Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Perry officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday at Kinlaw Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.

Mrs. Alma Musselwhite Atkinson Harris, 91, died Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at Elizabethtown Nursing Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Winnie Musselwhite and by a daughter, Annie Lee Smith.
She was employed for many years as a LPN at Bladen County Hospital.
Funeral will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM in the chapel at Kinlaw Funeral Home with Reverend Walter Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at the Elizabethtown City Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elaine Cruse, his mother, Irene Cruse, his daughter, Kathy Chapin and a son, Paul Cruse.
Funeral will be held at Bladen Church of Christ on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Monty Hampton officiating. Burial will be held in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Cozy spent her childhood in North Carolina. After moving out of state, she enjoyed returning to what she called "God's Country" to spend time with family and friends
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Zibelin and Sallie Smith Marshall; husband, Daniel W. Hodges; son, Daniel W. Hodges, Jr.; sister, Kathleen Corbett; Brothers, Johnny Marshall, Murdock Marshall, W. Z. Marshall, Jr., Thaddeus Marshall and Dick Marshall.
Mrs. Hodges was a member of Pine Lake Baptist Church in Pine Lake, Georgia.
