Eloise Russell Brock, 71
McMinnville resident and Van Buren County native Eloise Russell Brock, 71, died Dec. 22 at River Park Hospital after an extended illness.
A retired restaurant worker with Stewart's Pharmacy and a member of the Church of God, she was the daughter of Alex and Virginia Smith Russell.
She is survived by her husband, Rasburn Brock; six daughters, Alene Fults and Sharon Brewer, both of McMinnville, Treva Cummings of Spencer, Doris Campbell of Altamont, Kathy Apple of Brush Creek and Melissa Knight of Lebanon; one son, William Donald Brock of Alexandria; one brother, Blake Russell of Covington; 17 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at High's Chapel with Malcolm James officiating. Burial will follow at Rockliff Cemetery.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Winton Brown, 89
McMinnville resident and Coffee County native Winton Brown, 89, died Dec. 19 at his daughter's home after an extended illness.
The retired owner of Brown Amusement Company and a member of Central Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Alton Hugh and Sarah Jane Winton Brown; and was preceded in death by his wife, Marietta Couch Brown; one son, Jack Elkin Brown; one daughter, Nancy Louise Brown; three sisters, Alice Wall, Dean Brown and Grace Weeks; and two brothers, Earl and Freeman Brown.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Larry Gross of McMinnville and Helen and Larry O'Kain of McMinnville; three grandchildren, Chris and Jason Gross of McMinnville and Johnny O'Kain of Nashville; four great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Gammon and Titus Ward officiating. Burial followed at Mt. View Cemetery.
McMinnville Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Sally Vaudrene Cole, 81
Orlando, Fla., resident and Jacksboro native Sally Vaudrene Cole, 81, died Dec. 19.
A homemaker and member of the Church of Christ, she is survived by one son, Melville Cole of Orlando; one daughter, Patricia Ann Daly of Lakeland, Fla.; one sister, Georgia Mills of Centertown; one sister, Doris Clendenon of McMinnville; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Tuesday at Woodlawn Cemetery in Orlando, Fla. Woodlawn Funeral Home of Orlando was in charge of arrangements.

Jerry Lee Hensley Jr., 6
McMinnville resident and Davidson County native Jerry Lee Hensley Jr., 6, died Dec. 20 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville after a lingering illness.
He is survived by his parents, Jerry and Roxanne Hensley of McMinnville; one brother, Glenn Hensley of McMinnville; paternal grandmother, Fannie Hensley of McMinnville; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Ward of McMinnville; and maternal great-grandmother, Kathryn Hutchson of Brunswick, Ga.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. today at High's Chapel with Jerry Feathers officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in White County.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Al Duncan, 73
McMinnville resident and Warren County native Alvin Gordon Duncan, 73, died Dec. 20 at Alvin C. York Medical Center in Murfreesboro after a 17-month illness.
A former owner/operator a convenience store, recreation centers and a security officer at Wal-Mart, he was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
The son of George and Bertha Emery Duncan, he was preceded in death by one sister, Iola Hall; and three brothers, Ira, Lewis and George Duncan.
He is survived by his wife, Judith Virginia Redd Duncan; three daughters, Thelma Hiles of Indianapolis, Ind., Judy Jones of White House and Patricia King of McMinnville; seven sons, Larry Gordon White of Cross Plains, Larry Wayne Duncan of Niceville, Fla., George Duncan of Indianapolis, Jimmy Duncan of Baxter, Kenny Duncan, Kent Cooley and Brent Cooley, all of McMinnville; two brothers, Oliver Duncan of Indianapolis and Jim Duncan of Griffin, Ga.; seven sisters, Mazel Pendergraph, Estelle Blair, and Irene Butcher, all of McMinnville, Joyce Pinegar of Rock Island, Mary Sue Harper of Franklin, Lorene Stewart of Indianapolis and Drucilla Anderson of Missouri; 35 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at noon today at High's Chapel with Ralph Hoover and Mark Hatley officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory with military graveside rites administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. until time of service today at High's.

Mary C. Hardcastle, 60
McMinnville resident and Maury County native Mary C. Hardcastle, 60, died Dec. 21 at her home after an extended illness.
A homemaker and a member of Central Church of Christ, she was the daughter of Evelyn Edwards of McMinnville and the late Ralph Edwards; and was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Potter Edwards.
She is survived by her husband, Brown Hardcastle; son, Alan Hardcastle of Nashville; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Laura Hardcastle of McMinnville; granddaughter, Hannah Hardcastle of McMinnville; and aunt, Geneva Potter of Knoxville.
Services were held Tuesday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Gammon and Vernon Joines officiating. Burial followed at Mt. View Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Lazarus House Hospice.

Rita Fay McLaughlin Snider, 39
McMinnville resident and Logansport, Ind., native Rita Fay McLaughlin Snider, 39, died unexpectedly Dec. 21 at River Park Hospital.
A restaurant worker, a member of the Church of Christ and Ladies Auxiliary Fraternal Order of Eagles #4190, she was the daughter of Richard Clarence McLaughlin and Peggy Grissom, and was preceded in death by one brother, William Carlton; and friend, Rayfield Wright.
She is survived by her mother and step-father, Peggy and Austin Grissom of Rock Island; four sisters, Pamela Roof of Michigan and Tina Myers and Sally Jackson, both of Rock Island, and Sheila Butcher of McMinnville; two brothers, Richard Douglas and Anthony McLaughlin, both of Michigan; maternal grandmother, Frances Anderson of Indiana; maternal step-grandfather, Bill Anderson of Indiana; 11 nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at High's Chapel with Terry Grissom officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-10 p.m. today and 8 a.m. until time of service Thursday at High's.
