Lorene Hogan Dalton, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, 79, died September 4, 2001.
A native of White County, she was a daughter of the late Balus McKinney and Eva Lou Etta Humphries Hogan. Mrs. Dalton had made her home in Crawford since 1951. She was a member of Grove Chapel C.H. Church and was a talented seamstress.
Funeral services will be Thursday, September 6, 2001 at 2:00 PM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, EAST with Revs. Raymond Duncan and John Humphries officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Chris Green, Casey Green, Jonas Dalton, Hayden Wiggins, Jay Wiggins and Alan Castetter.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, C.C. (Pete) Dalton; Son and daughter in law, Leon and Sandi Dalton of Sandy Springs; 2 daughters and sons in law, Treva and Marvin Green of Bishop and Janis and Eddie Wiggins of Warner Robins; 2 sisters, Betty Phyfe of Cumming and Lillian Dyer of Cleveland; 2 brothers, Clinton Hogan of Tucker and Telford Hogan of Walhalla, SC; 7 grandchildren and spouses, Chris and Holly Green, Casey and Jill Green, Jonas Dalton, Hayden Wiggins, Jay and Gina Wiggins, Reagan and Wade Redd and Alan Castetter; 3 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM.

C.C. "Pete" Dalton
1920 - 2001
Crawford, GA
C.C. "Pete" Dalton, devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, 81, died October 25, 2001.
A native of White County, he was a son of the late Thomas Watson Dalton, Sr. and Viola Smith Dalton and the widower of Lorene Hogan Dalton, wife of 60 years. Mr. Dalton had made his home in Crawford since 1951. He was a local businessman, having owned and operated Dalton's Gulf Station in Crawford and Dalton's Grocery Store in Hutchins. Following his retirement, he served as Mayor and City Councilman of Crawford and later served as a bailiff with Oglethorpe County Superior Court for a number of years. He was a member of Lexington Masonic Lodge and Grove Chapel Congregational Holiness Church.
Funeral services will be Sunday, October 28, 2001 at 2:00 PM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, EAST with Revs. Raymond Duncan, John Humphries and Mark Fite officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Survivors include a son and daughter in law, Leon and Sandi Dalton of Sandy Springs; 2 daughters and sons in law, Treva and Marvin Green of Bishop and Janis and Eddie Wiggins of Warner Robins; 3 sisters, Agnes Skelton of Athens, Mildred Lyle of Buckhead and Eloise Edwards of Athens; Brother, Tom Dalton of Roswell; 7 grandchildren and spouses, Chris and Holly Green, Casey and Jill Green, Jonas Dalton, Hayden Wiggins, Jay and Gina Wiggins, Reagan and Wade Redd and Alan Castetter; 7 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Genevieve Dendtler
1914 - 2001
Greensboro, GA
Genevieve Blanchard Dendtler, 86, formerly of Kenmore, NY, died August 22, 2001.
A native of Welland, Ontario Canada, she was a daughter of the late Lavern and Xina Hearne Blanchard and the widow of Hilmar Dendtler. A resident of Woodstock, GA from 1993 - 2001, she was a member of Christ Church.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 25, 2001 at 11:00 AM at Christ Church with The Rev. Linda Pineo officiating. Interment will be Monday, August 27, 2001 at 11:00 AM in Elm Lawn Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda, NY.
Survivors include her son and daughter in law, The Rev. Robert B. and Charlotte W. Dendtler of Greensboro, GA; 3 grandchildren, Kristin Thomas, Laura Dendtler and Robert W. Dendtler and a number of nieces and nephews.

Nina Dickens
1909 - 2001
Bogart, GA
Nina Crowe Dickens, 92, died October 28, 2001.
A native of Oconee County, she was a daughter of the late W. Sam and Nannie Baugh Crowe. She was the widow of Lewis L. (Pete) Dickens, Sr. and was preceded in death by a daughter, Dolores Sims, infant daughter Rosemary, siblings, Sam H. Crowe, Felton V. Crowe and Irene Wheeler.
Mrs. Dickens was a graduate of Bogart High School and Athens High School and attended Lucy Cobb College. She was active in many school organizations including past president of Bogart PTA and Bogart High School Alumni. She was a member of Sunset Garden Club and held many positions of office while doing volunteer work in the community. She was a member of Bulldog Booster Club and Minerva Club of SAE. Mrs. Dickens was a homemaker and member of Bogart Baptist Church for 83 years where she served as a Sunday School teacher and long time member of WMU.
Her home was always open to all friends or family when they needed a place to stay whether for a week or years. During the depression she provided meals to the school teachers who weren't being paid.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 31, 2001 at 2:00 PM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, WEST with Rev. Bill Hayes officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include 2 daughters and son in law, Betty Felder and Shirley and Jackson Jones of Bogart; Son and daughter in law, Lewis L.(Pete), Jr. and Vicky Dickens of Athens; Sister, Pat Norris and 2 brothers, Ted Crowe and Dorsey Crowe, all of Bogart; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and many other family and friends.
Memorial donations may be made to Bogart First Baptist Church or a charity of choice.

Mack Donahoo
Athens, GA
Mack A. Donahoo, 58, died April 14, 2002.
A native of Lincoln, AL, he was the son of Lucille Donahoo of Commerce and the late Mack E. Donahoo. Mr. Donahoo was a U.S. Army veteran, an ordained deacon and Mason. A 29 year resident of Athens, he was retired from the University of Georgia. He was a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church and a volunteer with WMSL Radio.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 16, 2002 at 1:00 PM at Prince Avenue Baptist Church with Revs. Bill Ricketts and John Verschuren officiating. Interment will be in Jackson Memorial Gardens.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Breathe Club.
Survivors in addition to his mother, include his wife, Jenny Donahoo; daughter, Jennifer Donahoo-Dobbins of Athens; son and daughter-in-law, Mack E. and Amye Donahoo of Watkinsville; sister, Dianna Savage of Commerce; 2 grandchildren, Christian Dobbins and Jackson Donahoo; several nieces and nephews and extended family, Eric and Penny Kirkland, Andrew, Alex and Kristen of Richmond, VA.

William Lance Drummonds, 30, died October 20, 2001.
A native of Birmingham, AL, he was a member of Mt. Paran Church of God and attended Prince Avenue Baptist Church. He attended Devry University and Central Florida College and was a computer engineer.
Funeral services will be Thursday, October 25, 2001 at 11:00 AM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, EAST with Revs. Bill Ricketts and E.J. "Woody" Clark officiating. Interment will be in Athens Memory Gardens.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Glenda A. and Saxton R. Gaskin, Jr. of Athens; Sister, Virginia Ratliff of Acworth, GA; 2 step sisters, Abby Knox and Cathei Maynard of Tampa, FL; Niece, Jessica Gaskin of Athens; 2 uncles and l aunt in Birmingham, AL.
