MARY T. WORDELMANN, 51, of Aberdeen died March 12 in Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in the Tompkinsville section of Staten Island, N.Y. she lived in Aberdeen for 23 years. She was a 1983 graduate of Brookdale Community College, where she received an associate’s degree in human services. She was a social worker for the Monmouth County Office of the Handicapped, Freehold. She was involved in the Battered Women’s Group, Keyport and Social Services with the M.S. Society of Monmouth County. She also was a piano and art teacher. Surviving are her two sons, Robert and Darrel Wordelmann, both of Aberdeen; her mother, Mary Mancuso of New Hope, Pa.; two brothers, Peter and David Mancuso, both of New Hope; and a sister, Joan Mancuso of Staten Island. Services were under the direction of Waitt Funeral Home, Morganville, with a Mass at St. Joseph’s Church, Keyport. Interment was at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.

FREDERICK P. STAFFLINGER, D.D.S., 85, of Matawan died March 13 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he lived in the Wickatunk section of Marlboro before moving to Matawan 40 years ago. He was a self-employed dentist in Matawan for 32 years, retiring in 1985. He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. He was a member of St. Clement’s Senior Club, Matawan, and the American Dental Association. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Surviving are three nieces. Services were under the direction of Day Funeral Home, Keyport, with a Mass at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church. Interment was at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport. Memorial donations may be sent to the American Heart Association Memorials Program, 2550 Route 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902-4301, or to the charity of your choice.

ISABELLA OLDS BONNY, 81, of Keyport died March 14 in Regency Park Nursing Home, Hazlet. Born in Maspeth, Queens, N.Y., she lived in Florida before moving to Keyport, 10 years ago. She was an electrocardiogram technician for Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, New York, for several years, retiring in 1980. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward T. Bonny in 1956. Surviving are two sons, William P. Bonny of Keyport and Edward T. Bonny Jr., of Kearny; a brother, Charles Olds of Ocala, Fla.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services were under the direction of Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Interment was at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet.

JOHN J. DeROSA JR., 31, of Gastonia, N.C., died March 14 in North Carolina. Born in Red Bank, he lived in Keyport and Pennsylvania before moving to North Carolina two years ago. He worked as a mover for Armstrong Relocators of North Carolina. Surviving are a son, Jeffrey Scott of Gastonia; a fiancée, Dawn Clancy of Gastonia; his mother, Christine Tooker Matthews of Keyport; his father, John J. DeRosa Sr. of White Haven, Pa.; three sisters, Kimberly DeRosa of Philadelphia, Cassandra Walker of Hazelton, Pa., and Sara DeRosa of White Haven; five brothers, Dominick DeRosa and Anthony DeRosa, both of Keyport, Shawn DeRosa, Mark DeRosa and Matthew DeRosa, all of White Haven. Services were under the direction of Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Cremation was private.

ANN T. HERSEG, 76, of Union Beach died March 14 in Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Long Branch, she lived in the Cliffwood Beach section of Aberdeen before moving to Union Beach 53 years ago. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Julius J.; one son, Daniel of Matawan; one daughter, Carole Burgey of Union Beach; a brother, Michael B. of Exton, Pa.; two sisters, Josephine O’Dolph of Jamesburg, and Dorothy Dziekowski of Middletown; four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Services were under the direction of Waitt Funeral Home, Morganville, with a Mass at St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church, Matawan. Interment was at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.

GENEVIEVE SEIBOTH KWOLEK, 82, of Brooklyn, N.Y., died March 14 in Beachview Extended Care Facility, Keansburg. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., she lived in Brooklyn for most of her life, moving to the Port Monmouth section of Middletown and then Keansburg 10 years ago. Mrs. Kwolek was a homemaker. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Czestochowa Roman Catholic Church, Brooklyn. She was predeceased by her husband, Theodore Kwolek in 1984. Surviving are her three sons, Henry T. and Thomas J., both of Middletown, and Edward A. of Bardonia; one daughter, Wanda M. Carlson of Tucson, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services were under the direction of John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown with a Mass at St. Anthony Church, Nanuet, N.Y. Interment was at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla. Memorial donations may be sent to the Hospital for Special Surgery, E. 70th St., New York, N.Y.

ROSE A. TAMBURRI ILARIA, 92, of the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge died March 12 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Her husband, Anthony Ilaria, died in 1996. Surviving are three daughters, Camille Falzarano of Cliffwood Beach, Patricia Rotondo of Hazlet and Roseann Genuario of Bloomfield; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services were arranged by Day Funeral Home, Keyport, with a Mass at St. Lawrence Church, Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge. Interment was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.

ANNA McFARLAND GROOME, 83, of Keyport, died March 16 in Holmdel Convalescent Center, Holmdel. Born in Newark she lived in Hazlet before moving to Keyport, 20 years ago. She was a factory worker for Lily Tulip Corp., Holmdel, for 16 years, until retiring in 1979. She was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Keyport, and of the Ladies Auxiliary Union Hose Fire Co. No. 1. where she served as past president and treasurer. She was predeceased by her son, Thomas Jr. Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Thomas of Keyport; two sons, James of Keyport and John of Laurence Harbor; six daughters, Helen Noll and Margaret Flanagan, both of Bloomfield, Patricia Hamlin of Sea Bright; Anna of Middletown; Diane Cacopardo of Wheaton, Ill., and Maureen Brennan of Union Beach; one brother, Thomas MacFarland of Kearny; two sisters, Dorothy Arndt of Vero Beach, Fla., and Gloria Kelly of Caldwell; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Services were under the direction of Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Interment was at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet.

DR. MICHAEL AMBROSIO, 71, of Matawan, and a summer resident of Beach Haven Park, Long Beach Island, died March 18 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Dr. Ambrosio had a family practice in Matawan for 35 years, retiring in 1997. He was born in Jersey City. At an early age he moved to Italy. He was a 1959 graduate of the University of Bologna Medical School. He was a former member of the medical staff of Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch; Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank; and Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel, where he was one of the founding physicians of the hospital. He was a member of the New Jersey and Monmouth County medical societies, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Bayshore Italian-American Society. He was a communicant of St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church, Matawan. He was named Physician of the Year at Bayshore Community Hospital in 1994. He was a fourth-degree Knight of Columbus, St. Joseph Council, Keyport. Surviving are his wife, Anne; two sons, Michael Anthony of Freehold and Thomas Michael of Marlboro; one daughter, Lisa Ambrosio Williams of Freehold; a brother, Dr. Domenico of Smithtown, N.Y.; and five grandchildren. Services were under the direction of Holmdel Funeral Home, with a Mass at St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. Interment is planned for March 22 at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport. Memorial donations may be sent to Bayshore Community Hospital, 727 N. Beers St., Holmdel, NJ 07733.

ELIZABETH M. HORAN LENAHAN, 78, of Hazlet died March 8 in Holmdel Convalescent Center. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she moved to Hazlet 42 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Benedict’s Roman Catholic Church, Holmdel. Surviving are her husband, Luke J. of Hazlet; four sons, Lawrence of Aberdeen, Luke J Jr., of Tokyo, Japan, Thomas of Bethlehem, Pa., and James of Atlantic Highlands; one daughter, Eileen Lobello of Hazlet; and eight grandchildren. Services were under the direction of Day Funeral Home, Keyport, with a Mass at St. Benedict’s Church. Interment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.

FELIPA E. ERFELUA ORILLE, 63, of Hazlet, died March 16 in Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in the Philippines, she lived in Jersey City and Cinnaminson, until moving to Hazlet 16 years ago. She worked as a registered nurse for East Orange Veterans Hospital, East Orange, for 20 years, until retiring in 1985. She was a member of the Nursing Association of Central New Jersey. Surviving are her husband, Peary Orille of Hazlet; two sons, Jesse E. Orille of Chicago, and Capt. John Orille of California; two brothers; and two sisters. Services were under the direction of Day Funeral Home, Keyport, with a Mass at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. Entombment is planned for March 22 at Forest Green Memorial Park Cemetery, Marlboro.

ESTHER SILVERBERG, 89, of Hazlet died March 16 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in New York City, she lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., for 40 years before moving to Manalapan for 20 years, moving to Hazlet five years ago. She worked as a statistical typist in New York City, retiring in 1975. She was predeceased by her husband, Bertram Silverberg, in 1994. Surviving are one son, Dr. Steven G. Silverberg of Washington, D.C.; one daughter, Eleanor Goode of Lincroft; one grandson and one great-grandson. Services were under the direction of Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold. Interment was at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge.

MARIANNE Q. HOWRIGAN, of Aberdeen, died March 19 at home. Born in New York City, she lived in Queens, N.Y., before moving to Aberdeen 37 years ago. Mrs. Howrigan was an administrator for American Airlines, New York City, for 20 years. She was office manager for Sonic Ease, Keyport, for seven years, retiring in 1995. She was a communicant of St. Benedict’s Church and past president of the St. Benedict School PTA, Holmdel. She was also past vice president of the Monmouth-Ocean County PTA. Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Leo; her daughter and son-in-law, Eileen and Joseph Carr of Hazlet; one sister, Patricia Cox of Morristown; and a grandson. Services were under the direction of Waitt Funeral Home, Morganville, with a Mass at St. Benedict’s Roman Catholic Church. Interment was at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Marlboro.

CHRISTOPHER G. NATHANIEL, 40, of Hazlet, died March 17 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Port Au Spain, Trinidad, he lived in Aberdeen before moving to Hazlet four months ago. He worked as a manager for Sam’s Club, East Brunswick, for the past eight years. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Jackson Nathaniel of Aberdeen; a son, Christopher Nathaniel of Aberdeen; three daughters, Melissa Nathaniel, Kimberley Nathaniel and Tamara Babwar, all of Aberdeen; his father, Richard Nathaniel of North Carolina; his mother, Hyacinth Chin Hong Wheeler of Aberdeen; his stepfather, Robert Wheeler of Aberdeen; two sisters, Cassandra Short of Aberdeen and Charmion Baez of Matawan; and one brother, John Wheeler of Aberdeen. Services were under the direction of Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Entombment was at Marlboro Cemetery.
