FREDERICK G. APPEL, 74, of Ridgefield Park died Tuesday. Before retiring in 1989, he was a butcher for A&P supermarkets in New York City, where he worked for 43 years. He was an Army and Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Bogota and Disabled American Veterans Chapter 32, Bergenfield. He was a parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church, Ridgefield Park. Arrangements: Petrik Funeral Home, Bogota.

LILLIAN E. BAILEY, 74, of Westwood died Tuesday. She had been a bookkeeper for Commercial Trust, Jersey City, where she worked for 14 years. Arrangements: Becker Funeral Home, Westwood.

ELEANOR RAVITZ BARENBURG, 77, of River Edge died Monday. Before retiring, she was a bookkeeper in the banking industry. Arrangements: Gutterman-Musicant, Hackensack.

LEONA E. DeANGELIS BROWNE, 59, of Wayne died Wednesday. She was a teacher at St. Anthony of Padua School, Butler, for 18 years. She was a graduate of William Paterson University, and was a member of the Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society. She was a parishioner of St. Mary R.C. Church, Pompton Lakes. Arrangements: Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, Wayne.

ANTOINETTE CAPEZZUTO, 83, of Lincoln Park, formerly of River Edge and West New York, died Wednesday. She was a parishioner of Holy Spirit R.C. Church, Pequannock. Arrangements: M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains.

MICHAEL J. CARRIGAN, 83, of Garfield died Tuesday. Before retiring in 1975, he was a teacher at Midland Park High School for 20 years and previously taught at Garfield High School. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a parishioner of Most Holy Name R.C. Church, Garfield. Arrangements: Wozniak Home for Funerals, Wallington.

TRINA COOK COBURN, 76, of Beachwood, formerly of Garfield, died Tuesday. Before retiring in 1992, she was a school crossing guard in Garfield for 25 years. She was a member of St. John Episcopal Church, Passaic. She was a former Democratic committeewoman and a member of the Garfield Democratic Club. She had been a member of the auxiliaries of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2867 and the Police Department, both in Garfield. Arrangements: Kamienski Funeral Home, Garfield.

JOSEPH DIANA, 91, of Hackensack died Monday. Before retiring, he owned J&R Heating Co., Hackensack. Arrangements: Hackensack Funeral Home.

MARION CIANCIA DiNAPOLI, 93, of Bogota died Tuesday. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph R.C. Church, Bogota. Arrangements: Volk-Leber Funeral Home, Teaneck.

JOYCE BEVAN DYSHUK, 63, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Clifton, died Tuesday. She had been a bookkeeper for Little Ferry Asphalt Co., where she worked for 24 years. Arrangements: Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, Van Houten Avenue, Clifton.

BERTHA M. GARTISER, 90, of Emerson died Wednesday. Before retiring in 1973, she was a medical technician for Doctor's Hospital, Sarasota, Fla. She was a parishioner of Assumption R.C. Church, Emerson. Arrangements: Becker Funeral Home, Westwood.

JOHN E. GORDON, 73, of Westwood died Tuesday. He had been a technician for Phillips Electronics in East Rutherford. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and was a member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 32, Bergenfield. Arrangements: Becker Funeral Home, Westwood.

PATRICIA A. DODZIK HARRIS, 59, of Lodi died Wednesday. She had been an accounts payable clerk for Beth Israel Hospital, Passaic. Arrangements: Alesso Funeral Home, Lodi.

STANLEY JACUKIEWICZ, 80, of Passaic died Tuesday. Before retiring 18 years ago, he was a machinist for Leslie Valves Inc., Parsippany, where he worked for 44 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 359, Passaic. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph R.C. Church, Passaic. He was a member of the Polish Falcons of America. Arrangements: Shook Funeral Home, Clifton.

RUTH G. McDONALD JOHNSON, 74, of Dumont died Tuesday. Arrangements: Frech Funeral Home, Dumont.

PATRICK J. KELLY, 89, of Bergenfield died Tuesday. He was born in Ireland. Before retiring, he was a carpenter for John Dahl Carpentry, Hackensack. He was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Bergenfield. Arrangements: Riewerts Memorial Home, Bergenfield.

CLARA DILL L'ARMEE, 86, of Garfield died Tuesday. She was a member of the Fair Lawn chapter of the Deborah Heart and Lung Center and AARP. She also was a member of the auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2867, Garfield. Arrangements: Kamienski Funeral Home, Garfield.

JAMES LEPIS SR., 79, of Lavallette, formerly of Oradell, died Wednesday. Before retiring in 1991, he worked in the sales division of Graphic Technology, New York City, where he was employed for 45 years. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a parishioner of St. Bonaventure R.C. Church, Lavallette. Arrangements: Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, Lavallette.

FRIEDA M. MAGERKURTH, 80, of South Bend, Ind., formerly of South Hackensack, died Friday. Arrangements: Hackensack Funeral Home.

WILLIAM H. McLEESTER, 76, of Smithfield, Va., formerly of Westwood, died Monday. He was an attorney for Liebowitz & Liebowitz, Englewood, where he worked for 25 years, and was a member of the Bergen County Bar Association. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and post advocate of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6467, Bergenfield. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Westwood. Arrangements: Becker Funeral Home, Westwood.

JOHN POTUSKI, 86, of Fort Lee died Wednesday. Before retiring, he was a foreman for Alcoa, Edgewater. Arrangements: A. K. Macagna Funeral Home, Cliffside Park.

ANNA L. RAGO, 88, of Emerson died Wednesday. Arrangements: Becker Funeral Home, Westwood.

MARINO ROTA, 78, of Guttenberg died Tuesday. He was born in Italy and came to the United States in 1955. He had been a self-employed general contractor. Arrangements: A. K. Macagna Funeral Home, Cliffside Park.

MICHAEL A. SABELLA SR. of Saddle Brook, formerly of Lyndhurst, died Monday. Before retiring, he was superintendent of manufacturing for Bendix Corp., Teterboro. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, Saddle Brook. Arrangements: Vander Plaat Memorial Home, Paramus.

PHYLLIS SIMPSON, 73, of Saddle Brook died Wednesday. Before retiring five years ago, she worked for Parke-Davis Corp., New York City, and previously for U.S. Steel Corp. She was a member of Warren Point Presbyterian Church, Fair Lawn. Arrangements: Edward F. Kugler Community Home for Funerals, Saddle Brook.

CHERYL J. TODD, 62, of Washington Township died Monday. She was a trustee of the Pascack Historical Society and was a member of the Peaceful Valley Quilters Group, the Blauvelt Society, and the Washington Township Library Fund. Arrangements: Becker Funeral Home, Westwood.
