MARIE ARNONE BENANTI, 76, of Lodi died Friday. Before retiring, she was a patternmaker for Liz Claiborne, New York City. She was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales R.C. Church, Lodi. She was a member of the Widow and Widowers' Club, Garfield. Arrangements: Santangelo Funeral Home, Lodi.

FRANCES F. LEVY CARLIN, 87, of the Bronx, formerly of New Milford, died Saturday. Before retiring, she was chief file clerk for the Bergen County Probation Department, Hackensack. Arrangements: Louis Suburban Chapel, Fair Lawn.

DIANE R. VAN BEVEREN CONTRERAS, 66, of Wallington died Saturday. She had been a bookkeeper for New Jersey Bank in Passaic. She was a member of Hope Reformed Church, Clifton, where she had served as treasurer. Arrangements: Allwood Funeral Home, Clifton.

THADDEUS DABAL of Clifton died Friday. Before retiring in 1990, he was a quality assurance manager for AlliedSignal Inc., Teterboro, where he worked for 31 years. He was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, Clifton. Arrangements: Shook Funeral Home, Clifton.

BEVERLY I. CARNATHAN DEWS, 71, of Clifton died Saturday. Before retiring, she was an administrator for Inmont-BASF Corp. in Clifton. Arrangements: Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, Van Houten Avenue, Clifton.

CONCETTA GIUE DiFULCO, 68, of Lodi died Friday. She was born in Italy and came to the United States 32 years ago. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph R.C. Church, Lodi, and was a member of its Immaculate Conception Prayer Group. She was a member of the Italian-American Women's Forum, Lodi, and the St. Ciro Society, Garfield. Arrangements: Aloia Funeral Home, Garfield.

ANTONIO DiPETRILLO, 62, of Hackensack died Friday. He was born in Italy and came to the United States in 1954. Before retiring, he worked for Bendix Corp., Teterboro. He was a parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church, Hackensack. Arrangements: J. Rocciola Funeral Home, Hackensack.

CHESTER W. DZIOBKOWSKI, 84, of Ridgewood died Saturday. Before retiring in 1981, he was a supervisor for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church, Ridgewood, where he served as an usher. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Highlights in Leisure Time, both in Ridgewood. Arrangements: C. C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home, Ridgewood.

DANILO FERRAZ, 65, of River Vale died Friday. He was chief executive officer for USAAPI, Englewood Cliffs, where he worked for 30 years. He was a member of Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church, Pearl River, N.Y. Arrangements: Robert Spearing Funeral Home, Park Ridge.

BRUNO FILA, 87, of Raleigh, N.C., formerly of Hasbrouck Heights, died Friday. Before retiring in 1979, he worked for Artistic Manufacturing, Carlstadt. Previously, he was an industrial engineer for Johnson & Johnson. Arrangements: North Raleigh Funeral Home, Raleigh.

GEORGE GIGERIAN, 87, of the Holiday City South section of Berkeley Township, formerly of Wood-Ridge, died Friday. Before retiring in 1979, he was a machinist for Duro-Test Corp. in Secaucus, where he worked for 20 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10185, and was a recipient of the New Jersey Distinguished Service Medal Award. He was a graduate of the Newark College of Engineering. He was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church, Wood-Ridge. Arrangements: Timothy E. Ryan Funeral Home, Toms River.

IVKA CERJAN GVARDIJAN, 82, of Linwood, formerly of Palisades Park, died Thursday. She was born in Croatia and came to the United States in 1955. Before retiring, she was a midwife. She was a parishioner of St. Michael R.C. Church, Palisades Park, and a member of its choir. Arrangements: Blackley Funeral Home, Ridgefield.

JEANETTE B. HOLLAND, 100, of Englewood died Friday. She was born in Germany. Before retiring in 1994, she was a pianist, piano teacher, and musicologist. She was a graduate of New York University with master's degrees in arts and philosophy. Arrangements: Barrett Funeral Home, Tenafly.

LEONARD C. KASPER, 79, of Fair Lawn died Thursday. Before retiring in 1990, he was an assistant director of market research for West Point Pepperell-Stevens Co., New York City, where he worked for 45 years. He was a parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church, Fair Lawn, and was a member and publicity chairman of its Leisure Club. He was a member of the Friday Social Club, Fair Lawn; former director of the Polish-American Club of New Jersey in Paramus, and a member of AARP. Arrangements: Vander Plaat Colonial Home, Fair Lawn.

MAXINE A. ALFORD KLING, 69, of Lavallette, formerly of North Haledon, died Friday. Arrangements: Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, Lavallette.

FLORIA M. PIVIROTTO KRAUS of Clifton died Friday. Before retiring in 1979, she worked for Botany Woolen Mills, Bartman and Bixer Co., and Arrow Plastics, all in Passaic. She was a former parishioner of Saints Cyril and Methodius R.C. Church, Clifton, and a parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle R.C. Church, Clifton. Arrangements: Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, Van Houten Avenue, Clifton.

THERESA SIRICO KROGSTAD, 75, of Lodi died Friday. Before retiring in 1999, she was a food service worker for the Garfield Senior Center. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph R.C. Church, Lodi. Arrangements: Aloia Funeral Home, Garfield.

DIANE LIPARI, 42, of New York City, formerly of Fairview, died Sept. 11 in the World Trade Center attack. She was a partner in Carr Futures, New York City. Previously, she worked for Philips Bros., Salomon Bros., and the Palisades Park Board of Education. Arrangements: Barrett Funeral Home, Tenafly.

JAMES V. LOCASCIO, 84, of Garfield died Friday. Before retiring in 1977, he was superintendent of maintenance for the Hasbrouck Heights Board of Education, where he worked for 30 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2867 and American Legion Post 255, both in Garfield. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Virgin R.C. Church, Garfield. Arrangements: Aloia Funeral Home, Garfield.

LESZEK LUCZYCKI, 31, of Elmwood Park died Sept. 30. He was born in Poland. He had worked for Papp Iron Works, Jersey City. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph R.C. Church, Passaic. Arrangements: J. C. Fila Lexington Memorial Home, Clifton.

ANGELA "DOLLY" LaFIANZA MAFFIA, 78, of Shelton, Conn., formerly of Wood-Ridge, died Friday. Before retiring in 1987, she was a secretary for Arnex Watch Co., New York City. She was a former member of the Wood-Ridge Democratic Club. Arrangements: Patrick J. Conte Funeral Home, Elmwood Park.

JOHN M. MARSHALL, 89, of Goffstown, N.H., formerly of Montvale, died Friday. Before retiring, he was a mail services supervisor for Bankers Trust Co., New York City. Arrangements: Moritz Funeral Home, Tappan, N.Y.

DONALD G. MARTHOUSE, 46, of Totowa died Thursday. He was an operating engineer and a member of Operating Engineers Union Local 825. Arrangements: Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, Van Houten Avenue, Clifton.

PAUL O. NASER SR. of Ridgewood died Saturday. Before retiring, he was a truck driver for Larkin Lumber, Paramus. He was a former member of the Midland Park Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of Hawthorne Gospel Church and Old Paramus Reformed Church, Ridgewood. Arrangements: Vander Plaat Funeral Home, Wyckoff.

KENNETH NELLEMAN of Rutherford died Monday. Before retiring, he was a packager for Friendship House, Hackensack. Arrangements: Vander Plaat Memorial Home, Paramus.

DON NICOLO, 83, of Wayne died Saturday. Before retiring in 1980, he owned Aldon Central Meat Market, Wayne, for 30 years, and had previously operated the market in Paterson. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, Wayne. Arrangements: Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, Wayne.

MARY BECKISH NIEDZIALEK, 81, of Forked River, formerly of Elmwood Park, died Saturday. Before retiring, she was an inspector for Curtiss-Wright Corp., Wood-Ridge, and previously for Bendix Corp., Teterboro, and Keystone Camera, Clifton. Arrangements: Patrick J. Conte Funeral Home, Elmwood Park.

FRANCIS J. "PETE" PETERS, 75, of Brewster, Mass., formerly of Hillsdale, died Wednesday. Before retiring, he was chief draftsman in the engineering department of Lederle Labs, Pearl River, where he worked for 32 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He had served on the Planning Board and was a member of the Democratic Town Committee, both in Hillsdale. He was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Hillsdale, and Our Lady of the Cape R.C. Church, Brewster. Arrangements: Doane, Beal and Ames Funeral Home, South Dennis, Mass.

LESLIE PETERS, 67, of Teaneck died Friday. He was manager of Les' Hair Hut, Englewood, and had previously worked for Hills Bros. Coffee, Edgewater. He was a member of Greater Refuge Temple Church, and it's Men's Club, New York City. Arrangements: Nesbitt Funeral Home, Englewood.

RUTH E. SCIANNIMANICO, 92, of Hillsdale died Friday. Arrangements: Becker Funeral Home, Westwood.

STACIA J. SIENGO, 81, of West Paterson died Friday. Before retiring in 1981, she was an electronics assembler for Conrac Electronics, Roseland, where she worked for 10 years. She was a parishioner of Holy Angels R.C. Church, Little Falls, and a former member of its Rosary Society. She was a member of the Garfield Senior Citizens. Arrangements: Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, Little Falls.

SEBASTIAN "CHARLIE" STRANGE, 82, of Bogota, formerly of Hasbrouck Heights, died Thursday. He was born in Italy and came to the United States in 1920. Before retiring, he was the founder of Charles Strange Painting, Hasbrouck Heights, and was a member of the Painters Union, Hackensack. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4591, Hasbrouck Heights. Arrangements: Santangelo Funeral Home, Lodi.

DONALD TALBOT, 67, of Lincoln Park died Thursday. Before retiring in 1994, he was a dispatcher for the Pequannock Police Department. Previously, he was a manager for AT&T, where he worked for 30 years. He was an Army veteran and also served in the National Guard. He was a member of American Legion Post 279, Lincoln Park. He was scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 170 and was a member of First Reformed Church, both in Lincoln Park. Arrangements: Keri Memorial Home, Lincoln Park.

ELIZABETH I. MALKASIAN TESHKOYAN, 93, of North Bergen died Thursday. Before retiring in 1970, she was a bookkeeper for the Hye Hotel, Belmar. Arrangements: Frank A. Patti & Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home, Fort Lee.

FRANCES EUVONE WHITMORE, 72, of Hawthorne, formerly of West Paterson, died Friday. Before retiring in 1985, she had worked for Bomont Industries, Totowa. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony R.C. Church, Hawthorne. She was a member of the West Paterson Library Board. Arrangements: Scillieri Hawthorne Memorial Home, Hawthorne.

HOWARD J. "BUZZ" WINFIELD JR. of Little Falls died Thursday. He had been dealer at the Trop World and Playboy casinos, both in Atlantic City. Previously, he co-owned the Black Bear Restaurant, Haledon, and was a licensed real estate broker. He was a former member of the North Jersey Country Club, Wayne. JAMES J. WOODS, 26, of New York City, formerly of Pearl River, died Sept. 11 in the World Trade Center attack. He worked for Cantor Fitzgerald Inc., New York City. He was a graduate of the State University of New York at Oswego. Arrangements: Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home, Pearl River.

JOYCE A. WRIGHT of Hackensack died Thursday. Before retiring, she was an office administrator for the Paramus Board of Education. Arrangements: Earl I. Jones Funeral Home, Hackensack.
