A memorial graveside service will be announced at a later date, and held in East Lawn Cemetery, Ithaca

Carmella Ann Paolillo

Carmella Ann Paolillo grew up in New York City, the place of her birth. As the oldest female child in a very large family, Carmella played an important role in the nurturing of her siblings. In 1932 she married Dominick J. Paolillo Sr. and together they raised three sons. In 1951 the family moved from NYC to a dairy farm on the Treadwell-Delhi Stage. Carmella’s husband died in1986 and Carmella continued to live among her friends in the Delhi area until 1998, when it was necessary for her to enter an assisted-living unit. In 1999 she moved to Oak Hill Manor Nursing Home in Ithaca where she received loving care until her death on Thursday, February 8, 2007.

ITHACA - Mr. Lester Feagin passed away January 30th 2007 at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, New York. He was born in Andalusia, Alabama July 23, 1948 to the late Mr. Jeramiah Feagin and Mary Feagin.
He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted wife, Mrs. Elaine Feagin; a daughter, Mrs. Leslie (Arthur) Williams of Ithaca, New York; two grandchildren, Alyssea Williams and Thomas-Jerome Williams of Ithaca, New York; a mother, Mary Feagin of Andalusia, Alabama; three sisters, Mrs. Joanetta (Walter) LaCount of San Antonio, Texas; Mrs. Teresa (Atanasio) Serrato of Andalusia, Alabama; Mrs. Deatra (Calvin) Woods of Andalusia, Alabama; three brothers, Mr. Tony Feagin of Andalusia, Alabama; Mr. Gregory Feagin of Andalusia, Alabama; Mr. Michael Feagin of Andalusia, Alabama; three brother-in-laws, Mr. Willie Mitchell and Simon Mitchell, both of East Orange, New Jersey; Mr. Melvin (Marilou) Mitchell of Dryden, New York; two sister-in-laws, Mrs. Cecilia (Francis) Dunham of Trumansburg, New York; Anna Thomas of Ithaca, New York; four aunts, Mrs. Jocie Sconiers and Mrs. Alberta Jones, both of Andalusia, Alabama; Mrs. Corrine (Robert) Artis of Buffalo, New York; Mrs. Erie Nell of Bloomfield, Connecticut; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Shreve, Kirk D., of 512 Cayuga Heights Road, Ithaca, NY died at 9:09am on Saturday, September 2, 2006 at Cayuga Medical Center at Ithaca.
Mr. Shreve was born August 30, 1957 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the third and youngest son of James R. and Dorian (nee Lloyd) Shreve. Mr. Shreve’s career in the funeral industry began at age 13 when he secured a position with the Farone and Son Funeral Home in Syracuse. He maintained that position throughout High School, graduating from Fayetteville-Manlius High School in 1975. During the summer months he remained employed at Farone’s until his graduation from SUNY Canton, NY. In 1977 he moved to Forest Hills, Queens, NY to obtain a residency with Fox Funeral Home. In 1978 he became a Licensed Funeral Director and secured a position with Conway Funeral Home in Jackson Heights, Queens, NY. In 1980 he moved to Ithaca and had been employed part time at a local funeral home and was employed in the travel industry. In 1991, he realized a dream he had as a child and opened and established his own funeral home in Lansing, NY; now Lansing Funeral Home, Inc.

Pamela Gwyneth Wolters Gillespie

Pamela Gillespie passed away on the evening of Tuesday, August 29, 2006. Pamela was born on March 26, 1958 in Reigate, Surrey, England to Oliver William and Euteen Khoo Wolters. She moved with her family to Ithaca in the early 1960s when her father accepted a position at Cornell University. Pamela attended Ithaca schools until age 13, when she enrolled at Walthamstow Hall, Kent, England. She received her diploma in 1976 and returned to Ithaca to attend Cornell University’s College of Arts and Sciences. Upon graduation in 1980 with a B.A. degree in Geology, she moved to New York City. There, she worked for the civil engineering firm of Mueser, Rutledge and DeSimone, performing geotechnical analysis and fieldwork on many notable projects for the Northeast Corridor Transportation Development, Battery Park City and the South Street Seaport.
Pamela returned to Ithaca in 1983 to marry Graham Gillespie and raise a family. Her son Graeme MacPherson was born in 1985 and daughter Heather Khoo in 1988. While the children were young, Pamela retrained as a nurse, completing the curriculum at Tompkins Cortland Community College in 1993 and receiving her RN. She has been employed in the Intensive Care Unit at Cortland Regional Medical Center from that time.

ITHACA - Herma S. Moiseichik, age 96, of Ithaca, died Tuesday morning at Hospicare. Herma was born in Nazareth, PA on May 18, 1910, a daughter of the late Edwin and Stella Kern.
She was a charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagle Auxiliary #1253 and a member of the Moose Lodge #592, VFW #961 in Ithaca and the American Legion of Trumansburg. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed traveling and having a good time with family and friends. She will be always remembered as an excellent homemaker and cook who enjoyed gardening and planting flowers. With her little three wheel cart, she would walk daily behind Titus Towers and feed the ducks. Prior to her retirement she was a cook at Immaculate Conception School for many years.

Winter Garden, FL – Lillian L. Casciotti, of Winter Garden, FL, a former resident of Ithaca, died Wednesday (November 1, 2006) afternoon at her residence in Florida. Mrs. Casciotti is the daughter of the late Bennett and Amelia Treadwell and step-daughter of the late Louie Smith. Her husband, Aldo J. Casciotti and Lillian recently celebrated 60 years of marriage on August 31, 2006.
Mrs. Casciotti was the proprietor of a pet grooming business while she resided in Ithaca and later she owned an antique shop in Jacksonville for several years prior to moving to Florida. One of Lillian’s passions was collecting antique dolls; in fact, many of her dolls are listed in “The Blue Book Dolls and Values” by Jan Folke.

Josephine Conlon Ernstein, 97, of 56 Conlon Road, Lansing died early Monday
morning, June 11, 2001 at The Groton Nursing Facility.
Memorial services are scheduled for SATURDAY, June 23, 2001, 3:00pm at THE
LANSING UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, LANSING, NEW YORK. interment WILL BE AT A
LATER DATE IN ASBURY Cemetery, LANSING. There are no calling hours.

LAURIE HYDE-TULL
LANSING: Laurie Hyde-Tull, 42,of 86 Dates Road, Lansing died Saturday
afternoon, May 12, 2001 at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, New York. Born
September 10, 1958 in New Orleans, Louisiana, she was the daughter of Mary Jane
(nee Oldenburg) of Metairie, Louisiana and the late Dr. Paul Hyde. Laurie was
a parishioner of All Saints R. C. Church, Lansing, a member of The American
Society of Clinical Pathologists and had been employed as a Registered Medical
Technologist at Cornell Univeristy, College of Veterinary Medicine.
In addition to her Mother, Laurie is survived by her husband, James W. Tull of
Lansing, two sons Joshua Paul Tull, Zachariah James Tull, two daughters,
Jessica Lee Tull and Sarah Jane Tull all of Lansing, one brother Patrick
(Marybeth) Hyde of Galena, Illinois and one sister Amy Maduell of Baton Rouge,
Louisiana.
Services are scheduled for Wednesday, 10:00am At All Saints R. C. Church, 347
Ridge Road, Lansing. The family will receive friends immediately following the
Mass in the church fellowship hall. There are no calling hours.

DAVID R. DORIA
David R. Doria, 85 of 955 Ridge Road, Lansing, New York died Wednesday
afternoon, July 11, 2001 at The Hospicare Residence of Ithaca.
Born January 15, 1916 in Chateaugay, NY he was the youngest of seven children,
son of the late Wallace and Edith McGibbon Doria. Mr. Doria served his country
in the United States Army from 1942 to 1943 when he was honorably discharged.
Prior to his retirement, he was a bus driver for the Lansing Central School
System, had been a car and boat salesman and owned and operated a Hardware
Store in Lansing. The Doria's spent winters in Florida for 10 years and in the
early nineties, returned permanently to Lansing. Mr. Doria will be missed by
those whose lives he touched and will be remembered as an eager provider of
peppermint candies.
Mr. Doria is survived by his wife of 61 years, Leona (nee Teeter) of Lansing, a
daughter Lynne (John) Siddell of Lansing, his grandsons, Steve, Kris and Ken
Stevens.
Funeral services will be Sunday, July 15, 2001, 1:00pm at The LANSING UNITED
METHODIST CHURCH, 32 Brickyard Road, Lansing. Interment will follow in North
Lansing Cemetery. Calling hours on Saturday are private.

BETTY L. WHITE 1948 - 2004
Betty L. White, age 54 of 5113 Knickerbocker Road, Cincinnatus, New York died
suddenly on Thursday evening, February 5, 2004 at her residence.
No services will be held at the request of Mrs. White.

RICHARD KIMBALL "KIM" DAVIS 1936 - 2004
Richard Kimball "Kim" Davis, 67 of 113 Emmons Road, Lansing, New York died
suddenly, Monday afternoon, February 23, 2004.
Born April 24, 1936 in Ithaca, New York, he was the son of the late Herman and
Floy Stevens Davis. Kim was a 1954 graduate of Trumansburg High School. He
then joined the United States Army and received an honorable discharge for his
faithful service to our country on October 19, 1956. Kim was employed at
Arnold Printing in Ithaca and was Production Manager for many years. In 1979,
he established his own business; Davis Graphic Services, Inc. Throughout his
career, Kim was involved in assisting numerous clients as a computer
programmer, consultant and friend with his overwhelming knowledge and
willingness to share. Kim will be remembered for his passion for every task
and activity he undertook. He will be missed by fellow members of The Lansing
Lions Club, where he and his wife Bea, enjoyed many friendships. Among Kim?s
other interests, were his participation in snowmobile racing and more recently
his love of go-kart racing. He was a member of Frozen Ocean Speedway Kart Club.
Survivors include his wife Beatrice (nee McKay) of Lansing, his sons Rick of
Ithaca, Jeff of Lansing, Mitch (Faith) Classen of Apex, NC., his daughters
Cheryl (Dan) Wunder of Scipio Center, Shaunna (Dave) Halton of Locke, Sandie
(Scott)Grooms of Lansing, brother Allan (Barbara) of Fair Oaks, CA, aunt
Dorothy Dorn of Candor and his grandchildren, Charity (Jarrod) Morgan, Matt
Lott, Sheli and Stephanie Grooms, Jason and Cayla Halton, Jocelyn Davis and
Samantha Wunder.
Services will be 11:00am Saturday at The Lansing United Methodist Church, 32
Brickyard Road, Lansing. Rev. William Gottschalk-Fielding will officiate.
Interment in Lansingville Cemetery will be delayed.

MARK E. BROWN 1959 - 2004
LOCKE, NY: Mark E. Brown, 44 of 183 Breed Road, Locke, NY died on Friday,
February 27, 2004.
Born August 19, 1959 in Lackawanna, NY he was the son of Nina (nee Siracuse)
and the late Elwood Edward Brown. Mark graduated in 1977 from St. Francis High
School, Athol Springs, NY, attended The University of Rochester and received
his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh. On May 25,
1985, he married Rhea Brundage in Corry, PA. Mark was employed as a Senior
Network Specialist for Borg-Warner Co, Ithaca, NY. Mark was an avid fan of the
Pittsburgh Pirates, The Toronto Blue Jays, The Greenbay Packers and the
Pittsburgh Panthers. He was a cub scout leader for six years and was involved
in coaching,mentoring and guiding with baseball, basketball and soccer for the
Lansing Recreation Department. Those who knew Mark were acutely aware of his
amazing capacity to recall stats on any baseball player and was reflected in
his extensive collection of baseball cards and memorabilia.
In addition to his mother of Buffalo, NY he is survived by his wife Rhea (nee
Brundage), sons Crawford and Parker, brother Jim (Shari) of Reese, MI. ;
sisters Lynn of Kankakee, IL, Rose (Wally) Kingston of, Pennsauken, NJ, several
aunts uncles cousins, nieces nephews and countless friends. He will be dearly
missed by those whose lives he touched.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday at The Lansing United Methodist
Church, 32 Brickyard Road, Lansing, NY 14882. Pastor Mark G. Broderick will
officiate. Interment will be in Spring Creek Cemetery, Corry, PA. The family
will receive friends at The Lansing Funeral Home, Inc. 32 Auburn Road, Lansing
on Tuesday, between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9pm.

JANE H. CUDLIN 1932 - 2004
Jane Helen Cudlin, 72 of Poplar Drive, Ormond Beach, Florida, formerly of
Newfield, New York died Saturday, February 28, 2004 in Port Orange, Florida.
Born January 18, 1932 in Newfield, New York, she was the daughter of the late
Jack and Leora Bickel Clayton. Mrs. Cudlin moved to Florida in 1959 and enjoyed
sewing, gardening, crochet, travel and music.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Peter Cudlin, son Charles of Holly
Hill, FL, daughters Jane Germano of Colorad Springs, CO, Karen Wittman of
Topeka, KS, her sisters Arlene Caward and Shirley Rockhill both of Lansing,
Geraldine Fish of Ithaca and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 7:00pm Monday at The Lansing Funeral Home, Inc., 32
Auburn Road, Lansing, NY. Rev. Scott Kubinski, Pastor of All Saints Roman
Catholic Church, Lansing will officiate. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery,
Newfield,NY will be delayed until spring. The family will receive friends on
Monday, between the hours of 5:00pm and 7:00pm at the funeral home.

DONALD H. SMITH
CORTLAND: Donald H. Smith, 81 of 41 Clayton Avenue, Cortland, NY died Friday
afternoon, July 20, 2001 at his residence. His family was at his side.
Born November 4, 1919 in Pompey, New York, he was the son of the late Fay and
Ruth Hodges Smith. Mr. Smith served his country in The United States Navy from
April 28, 1942 to January 4, 1946, when he was honorably discharged. Employed
as a Salesman for Prudential Insurance Company, Mr. Smith was a member of The
Cortland Country Club, VFW, Post #2354, Cortland and had served as Chairman for
The Zoning Board of Appeals for the City of Cortland.
Surviving are his wife, Beatrice (nee Fabrizio) of Cortland, a son, Dr. Stewart
(Bruchell) Smith of Williamsville, NY, two daughters, Cynthia (Rick) Monroe of
Solon, NY, Susan (Kent) Edwards of Cortlandville, 7 grandchildren and 2 great
grandchildren.
Funeral services and calling hours are private. He will be buried on Monday
morning in St. Mary's Cemetery, Cortland, New York.

MARILEE C. VORMWALD GREY
Marilee C. (nee Vorwald) Grey, 49 of Dart Drive, Ithaca, New York died
Wednesday afternoon at 5:00pm at her residence. Her family was at her side.
Born February 2, 1952 in Cortland New York, she was the daughter of Ava (nee
Hulslander) Vormwald of Ithaca, New York and the late Philip Vormwald. A 1970
graduate of Ithaca High School, Marilee was employed as an Administrative
Assitant in the Registrars'Office of the Hotel School at Cornell University.
She attended Christ Chapel in Ithaca,New York.
In addition to her Mother, she is survived by her husband Bradley C. Grey of
Ithaca, two sons Kevin of Etna and Aaron of Ithaca, a daughter, Krisitn of
Dryden, two brothers Jerry (Cecile) Vormwald of Largo, Florida, Tom (CarolSue)
of Clifton Park New York, two sisters, Sherry (Ray) Codner of Land O Lakes,
Florida, Jill (Steve) Craft of Monroe, North Carolina and her grandchildren,
Kailee and Jacob.
Funeral services were held Saturday, 10:00am at Christ Chapel, 160 Graham Road,
Ithaca. Interment was in Willow Glen Cemtery, Dryden, New York. Calling hours
were held Friday evening from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

CHARLES D. BALOG, SR.
Charles D. Balog, Sr., 60, of 2 Milliken Road, Lansing, New York died suddenly,
Sunday evening, September 2, 2001 at Cayuga Medical Center at Ithaca.
Born January 4, 1941 in Caldwell, Ohio, he was the son of Nellie Jennings Balog
of Zanesville, Ohio and the late John Balog, who died April 2, 1992. Mr. Balog
was employed as an Engineer for NCR of Ithaca and Harmac of Buffalo, NY. He
served his country during the Vietnam War and was a member of BPOE #636,
Ithaca and The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 377, Dryden, NY. A devoted
family man, Mr. Balog was an avid fisherman, golfer and enjoyed time spent on
his boat.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Balog is survived by his wife Jolan (nee Papp)
of Lansing, NY, three sons, Charles "Buddy" (Stacey) Balog of Auburn, NY, Chris
(Joye) Balog of Lansing, Chad(Lori) Balog of Auburn, NY, one sister, Carolyn
(Richard)Waite of Zanesville, Ohio, his grandsons Zachary and Nicholas Balog
and Tyler and John Johnson, several nieces, nephews, cousins and an aunt and uncle,
Marion Barnhouse and Charles Jennings.
The family will receive friends at THE LANSING FUNERAL HOME, INC., 32 Auburn
Road, Lansing, NY on Wednesday, between the hours of 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Funeral
services are scheduled for 1:00m Friday at THE BOLIN FUNERAL HOME, 1271 Blue
Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio (740.452.4551). The family will receive friends two
hours prior to the funeral service on Friday, from 11:00am to 1:00pm
