AUBREY L. "HOT FOOT" ARTIS, 75, of Paterson died Monday. Before retiring in 1990, he was a mixer for Morgan Chemical Co., Paterson, where he worked for 22 years. He was a member of Elks Lodge 333. Arrangements: Bragg Funeral Home, Paterson.

HERBERT E. BAILEY, 74, of Morganton, N.C., formerly of Teaneck, died Monday. Before retiring, he was a metal spinner for Kurt Versen Co., Westwood. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was a former parishioner of St. Joseph R.C. Church, Bogota. Arrangements: Petrik Funeral Home, Bogota.

JAIME "JIM" BARREIRO, 59, of Branchburg, formerly of Oakland, died Monday. He had been a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 3, New York City. He was a baseball and softball coach for the Oakland Recreation Commission. Arrangements: Oakland Memorial Home.

GERTRUDE L. STARK BAYLEY of West Milford, formerly of Wayne, died Sunday. Before retiring, she was a caterer for State Farm Insurance Co. in Wayne. She was a member of the West Milford Golden Agers. She was a graduate of Drake Business School, New York City. Arrangements: Richards Funeral Home, West Milford.

WILLIAM T. BEARDSLEY of Rockland, Maine, formerly of Ridgewood and Westwood, died Friday. Before retiring in 1967, he was a marketing executive for U.S. Rubber and Uniroyal. Arrangements: Hall Funeral Home, Waldoboro, Maine.

MARY JORLETT BENDER-TOBIN, 91, of Hawthorne died Tuesday. Before retiring 30 years ago, she was a cafeteria worker at Hawthorne High School for 20 years. She was a member of the Passaic County Republican League. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony R.C. Church, Hawthorne. Arrangements: Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, Hawthorne.

JOSEPH F. BIRCH, 72, of Ho-Ho-Kus, formerly of Teaneck, died Monday. Before retiring, he was a general auditor for National Distillers and Chemical Corp. He was a graduate of Villanova University. Arrangements: Vander Plaat Funeral Home, Wyckoff.

CECELIA V. KOCHIS BROKING, 84, of Cliffside Park died Monday. She was a parishioner of Epiphany R.C. Church, Cliffside Park. Arrangements: McCorry Bros. Funeral Home, Cliffside Park.

SAMUEL BUCHOLTZ, 86, of Clifton, formerly of Haledon, died Tuesday. Before retiring, he was a warehouse traffic manager for Ballet Maker Co., Totowa. Arrangements: Louis Suburban Chapel, Fair Lawn.

TENEYA MARIE CARTER, infant daughter of Devent Oral and Maeica Roach Carter of Paterson, died Friday. Arrangements: Bragg Funeral Home, Paterson.

CAROLINE V. CLAIBORNE, 85, of Paterson died Jan. 1. She was superintendent of an apartment building in Paterson. Arrangements: Bragg Funeral Home, Paterson.

KATHLEEN R. DOYLE CRAW, 81, of Wassaic, N.Y., formerly of Harrington Park, died Sunday. She was a parishioner of St. Mary R.C. Church, Closter. Arrangements: Oakland Memorial Home.

CHRISTIAN L. DeSIMONE, 23, of Ringwood died Sept. 11 in the World Trade Center attack. He was an accountant for Marsh & McLennan. Arrangements: D'Agostino Funeral Home, Wanaque.

MARIE L. SPARANO FRANCKE, 67, of Galloway, formerly of Rutherford, died Saturday. She was a former parishioner of St. Mary R.C. Church, Rutherford. Arrangements: Santangelo Funeral Home, Lodi.

JOSEPHINE SHANNON FREYER, 97, of Ridgefield Park died Monday. She was born in Ireland and came to the United States in 1930. She had been a housekeeper for Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, New York City. She was a parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church, Ridgefield Park. Arrangements: Vorhees Funeral Home, Ridgefield Park.

NORA PANDO GARCIA, 71, of West New York died Sunday. She was born in Cuba. Before retiring in 1992, she was a college professor in Cuba. Arrangements: McCorry Bros. Funeral Home, Cliffside Park.

TELKA CHAPOLA GOTT, 75, of Riverdale, formerly of Paterson and Pompton Lakes, died Tuesday. She had been a file clerk for George Weston Bakeries, Totowa. Arrangements: Moore's Home for Funerals, Wayne.

TERRY LOWENTHAL GREENFIELD, 69, of Rockaway Township, formerly of Paramus, died Saturday. Before retiring, she was an art therapist for Metropolitan Hospital in New York City. She was a graduate of William Paterson College, Wayne, where she received a master's degree. She also received a master's degree in art therapy from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn. She was a founding member of Temple Sholom, River Edge, and its Sisterhood. Arrangements: Louis Suburban Chapel, Fair Lawn.

MICHAEL B. GRIFFITH, 56, of Little Falls died Dec. 31. He had been an adult services librarian for the Little Falls Public Library, where he worked for 30 years. He also was a historian for the Little Falls Historical Society. He was a graduate of Montclair State University. Arrangements: Minchin Funeral Home, Paterson.

CHARLES C. GUARINO, 83, of Toms River, formerly of Garfield and Lodi, died Monday. Before retiring 17 years ago, he worked for Curtiss-Wright Corp., Wood-Ridge, for 15 years. He had also been a binder refinisher for Horowitz & Sons Bookbinding for 28 years. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph R.C. Church, Lodi. Arrangements: Santangelo Funeral Home, Lodi.

RUFINO "FINO" HERNANDEZ, 55, of Paterson died Sunday. He was born in Puerto Rico. He was a production worker for Givaudan-Roure fragrances in Mount Olive. Arrangements: Bragg Funeral Home, Paterson.

DOMENICK IARIA, 73, of Palisades Park died Friday. He was born in Italy and came to the United States in 1947. He had been a self-employed mason contractor. Arrangements: A.K. Macagna Funeral Home, Cliffside Park.

BROTHER JOHN V. KRLEG, O.F.M., 89, of Ringwood died Tuesday. He was born in Germany. He was a member of the Franciscan Order of Friars Minor. He entered the order in 1941 and made his final vows in 1947. Arrangements: D'Agostino Funeral Home, Wanaque.

RICHARD J. "PICCOLO" LEPERA, 68, of Hackensack died Sunday. Before retiring in 1996, he worked for Barsan Co., Lodi. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a parishioner of Holy Trinity R.C. Church, Hackensack. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Paramus. Arrangements: G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, Hackensack.

MARY CANNARELLA LETIZIA, 85, of Brick, formerly of North Haledon, died Monday. She was a parishioner of St. Martha R.C. Church, Point Pleasant, and a former parishioner of St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson. Arrangements: Browning Forshay Funeral Home, Hawthorne.

SOPHIE HLAVAC LUKAS, 91, of Garfield died Monday. Before retiring in 1972, she was a weaver for Forstmann Woolen Mills, Garfield, where she worked for 15 years. She was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Kostka R.C. Church, Garfield, and a member of its Polish Rosary Society. She was a member of AARP, the Garfield Senior Citizens, the Polish Catholic Sokol of Passaic, and a former member of the Pulaski Day Parade Committee. Arrangements: Kamienski Funeral Home, Garfield.

LEE A. CORDOSCO MAZZOCCHIA, 83, of Paterson died Tuesday. She was a member of the Auxiliary of St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital. She was a parishioner of St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson. Arrangements: DeLuccia-Lozito Funeral Home, Haledon.

PATRICIA M. MAHONEY MOROSCA, 58, of Lodi died Monday. Arrangements: Santangelo Funeral Home, Lodi.

LOUIS J. PADULA, 80, of Westwood died Monday. He had been a file clerk for the Veterans Administration Regional Office in New York City, where he worked for 30 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Arrangements: Becker Funeral Home, Westwood.

HELEN MODLA PAVLICK, 90, of Wallington died Monday. She was a parishioner of St. Mary R.C. Church, Passaic, and a member of its Rosary & Altar Society. She was president of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2640 Auxiliary, and a former member of Park Row Hose Company 3 Auxiliary, both in Wallington. She was a member of the 29th Division Blue & Gray Auxiliary. Arrangements: Shook Funeral Home, Clifton.

MICHAEL RIZZO, 74, of Seaside Park, formerly of Carlstadt and Hasbrouck Heights, died Monday. Before retiring, he was a mechanic for Preston Trucking Co., Jersey City, where he worked for 15 years. He also owned Midtown Garage, Hoboken. He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II. He was a former parishioner of Corpus Christi R.C. Church, Hasbrouck Heights. He was a member of Teamsters Local 641, Jersey City. Arrangements: Costa Memorial Home, Hasbrouck Heights.

CORNELIUS J. SULLIVAN, 84, of Wanaque died Tuesday. Before retiring in 1980, he was a banker for The Chase Manhattan Bank, New York City, where he worked for 35 years. He was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church, Wanaque, and was past president of its Holy Name Society and bowling league.
