RUTH BIRNBAUM, 79, of Boynton Beach, Fla., formerly of Hackensack and Teaneck, died Monday. She had been a dental assistant. She was a life member of Hadassah. Arrangements: Gutterman-Musicant, Hackensack.

MARGARET H. BOTTOMLEY, 93, of Wayne died Monday. She had been an office manager for Steenstra Paper Products, Paterson. She was a member of St. Agnes Episcopal Church and Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 224, both in Little Falls. Arrangements: Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, Little Falls.

ELIZABETH CALHOUN of Westwood died Sunday. She had been a founding member of Lebanon Baptist Church, Westwood, where she served as a mother of the church, deaconess, and missionary. Arrangements: Earl I. Jones Funeral Home, Hackensack.

JOSEPH A. CARLINO, 81, of Garysburg, N.C., formerly of Lodi, died Sunday. Before retiring in 1964, he owned Rosalie Dress Shop, Garfield, for 25 years. He was a member of the Parkway Lanes Bowling League. Arrangements: Aloia Funeral Home, Lodi.

ISABELLE T. CODY, 86, of Washington Township, formerly of Park Ridge, died Sunday. She was born in Scotland. She was a member of Lakehurst Presbyterian Church and AARP. Arrangements: Becker Funeral Home, Westwood.

MADONNA CONFORTI, 41, of Bensmer City, N.C., formerly of Ridgefield, died Sunday. Arrangements: Petrik Funeral Home, Bogota.

EUGENE F. DALMOTTE, 64, of Fair Lawn died Tuesday. Before retiring in 1985, he was a manager for Foodtown supermarket in Paterson, where he worked for 20 years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church, Fair Lawn. He was a volunteer for the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements: Vander Plaat Colonial Home, Fair Lawn.

FRANK J. FLACCAVENTO, 53, of Wayne died Sunday. He was an attorney and a member of the Passaic County Bar Association. He was a graduate of Rutgers University and Brooklyn Law School. He was a member of Preakness Reformed Church and Pines Lake Men's Club, both in Wayne, and the Habitat for Humanity. Arrangements: Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, Wayne.

MARIO F. GENNARELLI, 88, of Montague, formerly of Paramus, died Saturday. Arrangements: Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Port Jervis, N.Y.

PATRINA A. HALL, 81, of Pequannock died Sunday. She had been an office administrator. She was a parishioner of Holy Spirit R.C. Church, Pequannock. Arrangements: Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, Wayne.

STEVEN M. JANKOWSKI SR., 46, of Paramus died Monday. He was a firefighter for the city of Hackensack for 20 years and a member of I.A.A.F. Union Local 2081, Hackensack. He was a parishioner of Annunciation R.C. Church, Paramus. He was a volunteer for the Fire Department and a coach for the Recreation Department, both in Paramus. Arrangements: G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, Hackensack.

ANNE C. TABOR KARLEWICZ, 84, of Midland Park, formerly of Paterson, died Monday. She had been a waitress for The Crane House, Paterson. She was a parishioner of Nativity R.C. Church, Midland Park. She was past president of the Fair Lawn Elks Lodge. Arrangements: Feeney Funeral Home, Ridgewood.

ISABEL T. PAMBELLO LAFFERTY, 89, of Hackensack died Monday. Before retiring 16 years ago, she was a bookkeeper in New York City. She was a member of the Seniors at St. John R.C. Church and the Catholic Daughters, both in Bergenfield. She was a volunteer at Holy Name Hospital, Teaneck. Arrangements: Riewerts Memorial Home, Bergenfield.

KENNETH P. LIRA, 28 of Paterson died Sept. 11, 2001, in the World Trade Center attack. He was a network engineer for Genuity Inc., New York City. Arrangements: Festa Memorial Home, Totowa.

NEIL LOWNEY, 62, of Norwood died Tuesday. He had been an insurance broker for J.P. Tilden, New York City, and a member of the American Institute of Marine Underwriters. He was an Army veteran. Arrangements: Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, Northvale.

LOUISE BUKOVEC MARINO-SEIDEL, 90, of East Rutherford, formerly of Hoboken, died Monday. Before retiring in 1986, she was a lunchroom aide for the East Rutherford Board of Education. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph R.C. Church, East Rutherford. Arrangements: Kohler Funeral Home, Wood-Ridge.

NORA PAREDES MENDEZ, 46, of Hackensack died Monday. She was born in Bolivia. She was a lab worker for Mercury Foam Co., Hackensack. Arrangements: G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, Hackensack.

LOUISE NELSON, 70, of Spokane, Wash., formerly of Wyckoff, died Nov. 13. Before retiring in 1988, she was director of the Wyckoff Public Library, where she also served as a trustee and reference librarian. She was a graduate of Cornell University and received a master's degree in library science from the Pratt Institute. Arrangements: Ball & Dodd Funeral Home, Spokane.

ERNEST F. PRESCOTT of Teaneck died Oct. 13. He was born in Barbados. Before retiring in 1987, he owned Sew-Vend Co. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Arrangements: Volk-Leber Funeral Home, Teaneck.

JEANETTE C. SMITH, 81, of North Haledon died Monday. She was a member of Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church, Haledon. Arrangements: Vander Plaat-Vermuelen Memorial Home, Franklin Lakes.

IRENE G. STEPHENS, 75, of Paterson died Saturday. She was born in Jamaica and came to the United States in 1970. She had been a hairdresser. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ, Paterson. Arrangements: Bragg Funeral Home, Paterson.

DAVID VANDERSNOW, 60, of Washington Township died Monday. Before retiring, he was a licensed funeral director and owned Long Island Cremation Inc., West Babylon, N.Y., and Brex and Vandersnow Inc., Woodhaven, N.Y. He was past president and member of the Bergen County Funeral Directors Association, a member of the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association, and a former member of the Metropolitan Funeral Directors Association. Arrangements: C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home, Ridgewood.

MEGHAN G. WERNER, 22, of Glen Ridge, formerly of Rutherford, died Saturday. She was an admissions clerk at Bergen Community College, Paramus. Arrangements: Macagna-Diffily Funeral Home, Rutherford.
