VIRGINIA J. AITKEN of Maine, formerly of Glen Rock, died Friday. Before retiring in 1999, she was a school guidance counselor in Maine for 10 years. Previously, she was a health coordinator and teacher at Nanuet High School. She was a graduate of Hackensack School of Nursing, Jersey City State College, and received a master's degree in health education from New York University. Arrangements: Strong Funeral Home, Damariscotta, Maine.

JOSEPH M. "BUDDY" BOSTWICK of East Rutherford died Wednesday. He had been a production worker for Okonite Corp., Passaic. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2640, Wallington. He was a parishioner of St. Mary R.C. Church, Passaic. Arrangements: Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, Lexington Avenue, Clifton.

BRUCE CHAMBERLAIN, 55, of Saddle Brook died Monday. He owned Kim-Bridge Cardtique and Florist, Saddle Brook. He was a member of Pipe Fitters Union Local 274, Ridgefield. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a past president of the Republican Club, a former member of the Board of Adjustment, and a member of the Gray Hair Club, all in Saddle Brook. Arrangements: Santangelo Funeral Home, Lodi.

JOYCE M. DiLORENZO, 62, of Montvale died Wednesday. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, Park Ridge. Arrangements: Becker Funeral Home, Westwood.

ELMER EVANS, 82, of Sparta, formerly of Ringwood, died Tuesday. Before retiring in 1991, he owned Exchange Realty Associates, Ringwood, for 30 years. He was a graduate of St. John's University School of Law. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a recipient of the Purple Heart. Arrangements: D'Agostino Funeral Home, Wanaque.

JOSEPH A. FARANETTA JR., 70, of Elmwood Park died Wednesday. Before retiring, he was a research chemist for Pan Chemical Co., Hawthorne. He was an Army veteran. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony R.C. Church, Paterson, and a member of its Catholic Men's Club. He was a member of the North Jersey Wiz Skiers. Arrangements: Della Torre Funeral Home, Paterson.

PATSY FOGLIA, 77, of Hackensack died Monday. Before retiring, he worked for S. Goldberg and Co., Hackensack. Arrangements: Hackensack Funeral Home.

MARY RUSCONI GARCIA, 96, of North Bergen died Wednesday. Before retiring, she was a weaver. Arrangements: Leber Funeral Home, Union City.

LOUIS HARTHEIMER, 79, of Hackensack, formerly of Demarest, died Wednesday. Before retiring five years ago, he owned Precision Nesting Systems Inc., Cresskill, for 15 years. He was a graduate of Dickinson College, Carlisle, Pa. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Arrangements: Wien & Wien, Hackensack.

MARY A. WALSH KEANE, 86, of Ringwood, formerly of Pompton Lakes, died Tuesday. She was born in Ireland. Before retiring, she was a clerk for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., New York City, where she worked for 34 years. She was a parishioner of St. Mary R.C. Church, Pompton Lakes. Arrangements: Richards Funeral Home, Riverdale.

JOHN KLAPMUST JR., 91, of Franklin Lakes died Tuesday. Before retiring, he was a polisher for Curtiss-Wright Corp., Wood-Ridge, where he worked for 34 years. Arrangements: Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, Franklin Lakes.

HELEN C. KLEIN, 93, of Westwood, formerly of River Vale, died Tuesday. Before retiring in 1962, she was an office manager for Malt Products Corp., Maywood. She was a parishioner of St. Andrew R.C. Church, Westwood. Arrangements: Becker Funeral Home, Westwood.

JOSEPH J. KUCHTA JR., 40, of Freehold Township, formerly of Passaic, died Tuesday. He was a technician for LTA Group, Jamesburg. He was a Marine Corps veteran. Arrangements: C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, Adelphia.

LEOKADIA CUPIAL MICHALOWSKI, 82, of Elmwood Park died Tuesday. She was born in Poland. She had been a packer for Weston Biscuit Co., Passaic. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph R.C. Church, Passaic. She was a former member of Aria Choir, Passaic. Arrangements: Wozniak Home for Funerals, Wallington.

MARY KOWALCZYK MISCIK, 92, of Wallington died Monday. Before retiring in 1975, she was a seamstress for Pam Coat Co., Passaic, where she worked for 20 years, and was a member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers Union in Passaic. She was a parishioner of Most Sacred Heart of Jesus R.C. Church, Wallington. Arrangements: Kamienski Funeral Home, Wallington.

EDWARD J. OHLAND, 78, of Edgewater, Fla., formerly of Saddle Brook, died Tuesday. Before retiring in 1986, he was a pattern maker for Jackfin, Passaic, where he worked for 40 years, and was a member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers Union in New York City. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Arrangements: Alesso Funeral Home, Lodi.

ARTHUR F. O'LEARY, 71, of Toms River, formerly of Oakland, died Wednesday. Before retiring in 1995, he was assistant vice president of Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., New York City, where he worked for 45 years. He was an Army veteran. He was a parishioner of St. Justin R.C. Church, Toms River. Arrangements: Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick.

DOLORES M. OELFKE RITGER, 63, of Dumont died Tuesday. She had been an administrative assistant for N.J. American Warehouse, Jersey City. Arrangements: Riewerts Memorial Home, Bergenfield.

GERTRUDE A. WHITCOMBE ROSS, 92, of Wyckoff died Tuesday. She had been a secretary for American Iron & Steel Institute, New York City. Arrangements: Van Emburgh-Sneider Funeral Home, Ramsey.

INGEBORG A. ZEUGNER RYERSON, 78, of Pequannock died Monday. She was born in Germany. Before retiring in 1994, she was a typesetter and linotype operator for The Star-Ledger, Newark. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star in Wayne. Arrangements: M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains.

MARY ZAZZARO, 91, of Andover, formerly of Paterson, died Tuesday. Before retiring in 1972, she was an assembler-packer for Celebrity Inc., Paterson. She was a member of the Senior Citizens at St. Mary R.C. Church. Arrangements: Aquino Colonial Funeral Home, Paterson.
