DOMENICA DeMARCO ADAMS, 90, of Pompton Lakes died Friday. She had been a seamstress for Various Mills, New York City. She was a parishioner of St. Mary R.C. Church, Pompton Lakes. Arrangements: Richards Funeral Home, Riverdale.

AVIS PAYNE CALLMAN, 84, of New Milford died Thursday. Arrangements: Boulevard Funeral Home, New Milford.

JOSEPH J. CAREY, 74, of Pequannock died Thursday. Before retiring in 1983, he was a machine operator for General Electric, Paterson, where he worked for 20 years, and was a member of United Auto Workers Union Local 191, Paterson. Arrangements: M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains.

JANET J. CARLEY, 80, of Wayne died Thursday. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Valley R.C. Church, Wayne. Arrangements: Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, Wayne.

EDWARD J. CARNEY, 70, of Ridgefield Park died Thursday. Before retiring in 1990, he was a warehouseman for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Inc., Lyndhurst. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a member Elks Lodge 1506, Ridgefield Park. Arrangements: Vorhees Funeral Home, Ridgefield Park.

YOLANDA FERNANDEZ CHASKIN, 54, of West Palm Beach, Fla., formerly of Dumont, died Nov. 22. She was an office manager for a real estate company. Arrangements: Frech Funeral Home, Dumont.

TESSIE WOYTOWICH DOLAN, 79, of Hawthorne, formerly of Ridgewood and Wyckoff, died Friday. She was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth R.C. Church, Wyckoff. Arrangements: Feeney Funeral Home, Ridgewood.

ANN S. FARHAT, 80, of Wall Township, formerly of Bayonne, died Wednesday. Before retiring in 1981, she was a secretary for Westinghouse Electric Corp., Jersey City. She was a parishioner of Holy Innocents R.C. Church, Neptune. Arrangements: O'Brien Funeral Home, Wall.

EDWARD J. FILA, 84, of Lodi died Thursday. Before retiring in 1984, he was a maintenance mechanic and boiler operator for Gibraltar Plastics Inc., Lodi, where he worked for 25 years. He was a Navy veteran and member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5082, Lodi. He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales R.C. Church, Lodi. Arrangements: Wozniak Home for Funerals, Wallington.

SANTINA FERRARA FOLEY, 84, of Cliffside Park died Friday. Arrangements: A.K. Macagna Funeral Home, Cliffside Park.

CORNELIA CAPUTO FRICCHIONE, 96, of Fort Lee, formerly of Nutley, died Friday. Before retiring in 1970, she was a book club clerk for Prentice-Hall, Englewood Cliffs. She was a parishioner of Madonna R.C. Church, Fort Lee. She was a member of the Original Senior Citizens Club and the 505 Senior Citizens Club, both in Fort Lee, and AARP. Arrangements: Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home, Fort Lee.

CATHERINE R. KLEIN FUGEL, 81, of Clifton died Friday. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity R.C. Church, Passaic, and St. George R.C. Church, Paterson. She was a member of the Clifton Senior Center. Arrangements: Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, Lexington Avenue, Clifton.

ANNE C. CHENEY GOEBEL, 93, of Dumont died Thursday. She had been a manager for New Jersey Bell Telephone Co., Newark, and past president of its Telephone Pioneers. She was a parishioner of St. John R.C. Church, Bergenfield, where she served as a Eucharistic minister, lector, hospital visitor, and was a member of its Rosary Society. She was a member of Court of Notre Dame 688 Catholic Daughters of America. She was a volunteer librarian at Englewood Hospital and at Grant School in Dumont. She was a member of Friends of the Dumont Public Library. Arrangements: Riewerts Memorial Home, Bergenfield.

MINNA KOZUCH HECHT, 86, of Miami Beach, Fla., formerly of Paterson, died Thursday. She was a Holocaust survivor. She was a member of Eastside Social Center, Fair Lawn. Arrangements: Louis Suburban Chapel, Fair Lawn.

MINNIE CORDOVER KATZ, 80, of Fair Lawn died Thursday. Arrangements: Louis Suburban Chapel, Fair Lawn.

JOHN R. KINYO, 73, of Carlstadt died Thursday. Before retiring in 1991, he was a bus driver for New Jersey Transit in Maywood, where he worked for 30 years. Subsequently, he was in charge of bus maintenance for Care Free, Clifton, where he worked for 10 years. He was a Navy veteran. Arrangements: Kimak Funeral Home, Carlstadt.

JOHN D. "JERRY" KOVALCIK, 90, of Passaic died Thursday. Before retiring, he was a foreman in the shipping department of Okonite Cable Corp., Passaic. He was a member of St. John Russian Orthodox Church, Passaic, where he was a past president and an honorary trustee. He was a member of the O Club and the Republican Club, both in Passaic, and the Montclair Beach Club. Arrangements: Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, Van Houten Avenue, Clifton.

HILDA AUERBACH KREKICH, 82, of Garfield died Wednesday. She was born in Germany and came to the United States in 1923. Before retiring in 1982, she was a floor lady for Silk-O-Lite, Garfield, where she worked for 20 years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Passaic. She was a past president and member of the Amvets Post 13 auxiliary, Garfield. She was a former Democratic County committeewoman. Arrangements: Kamienski Funeral Home, Garfield.

KATHLEEN F. STEIGINGA LaPAN, 57, of Haledon, formerly of Hawthorne, died Wednesday. She had been an assistant manager for the delicatessen department of Stop & Shop in Ringwood and a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union. She was a former member of Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church, Wyckoff. Arrangements: Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, Franklin Lakes.

MORTON L. LONDON of Teaneck died Thursday. Before retiring in 1999, he owned London Yarn Co., West New York. He was an Army veteran of World War II and past national commander of Jewish War Veterans. He was a trustee of the Teaneck Jewish Center. Arrangements: Gutterman-Musicant, Hackensack.

HELEN T. YURKIEWICZ LoSASSO, 85, of Maitland, Fla., formerly of Hawthorne, died Thursday. Before retiring in 1978, she owned Oceanside Motel, Wildwood Crest, for 30 years. She was a parishioner of St. Margaret Mary R.C. Church, Winter Park, Fla., and St. Anthony R.C. Church, Hawthorne. Arrangements: Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, Hawthorne.

CYNTHIA KILPATRICK LOWELL, 61, of Wanaque, formerly of West Milford, died Wednesday. She had been a collection agent for NCO Group, Ramsey. She was a crossing guard in Butler. Arrangements: Richards Funeral Home, Riverdale.

CHRISTINA A. MASCITTI, 70, of Hawthorne, formerly of Clifton, died Wednesday. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony R.C. Church and a member of its Rosary Society. Arrangements: Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, Hawthorne.

HARRIET E. McLEAN, 94, of Passaic died Wednesday. She had been an organist and choir director for Union Baptist Church, Roger William Baptist Church, and the Independent Chorus, all in Passaic, and Friendship Baptist Church, Garfield. She also was an organist for Bragg Funeral Home in Paterson and Passaic and a piano teacher. She was a member of Union Baptist Church, Passaic, where she served on its Deaconess Board and Missionary Circle. She was a member of the Golden Girls of Demuro Apartments, Passaic. She also was a member of the Passaic Choral Guild and the Elite Trio. Arrangements: Bragg Funeral Home, Passaic.

ANNA M. LACH MESHINSKY, 81, of Bergenfield died Wednesday. She was a parishioner of St. John R.C. Church, Bergenfield, and a member of its Rosary Society. Arrangements: Riewerts Memorial Home, Bergenfield.

CLORINDA "LIL" GRECO MIGLIARDI, 87, of Bethlehem, Pa., formerly of Pompton Lakes, died Thursday. Before retiring, she worked for Gelman Department Store, Pompton Lakes. She had been a Eucharistic minister and a volunteer at Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pompton Plains. Arrangements: Richards Funeral Home, Riverdale.

JAMES A. MILLER, 77, of Manchester, formerly of Fair Lawn, died Thursday. Before retiring in 1993, he worked for Fiddler's Elbow Country Club and previously was a bartender for Watchung View, both in Bedminster. He was a parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church, Fair Lawn. Arrangements: Vander Plaat Colonial Home, Fair Lawn.

FRANK M. NARDOZZA, 73, of Hackensack died Wednesday. Before retiring in 1994, he co-owned Polifly Cleaners, Hackensack. He was a parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church, Hackensack. He was an instructor for Junior Bowlers. Arrangements: G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, Hackensack.

VIOLET BURNAT NIEMIEC, 91, of Clifton died Wednesday. She was a parishioner of Holy Rosary R.C. Church, Passaic. Arrangements: Intelisano-Scarpa Funeral Home, Clifton.

JEFFREY NOVOTNY, 53, of Clifton died Thursday. Before retiring in 1999, he was an officer for the Garfield Police Department, where he worked for 27 years, and was a member of the New Jersey State Policemen's Benevolent Association and Policemen's Benevolent Association Local 46, Garfield. He was a member of Moose Lodge 657, Clifton, and Elks Lodge 2267, Garfield. Arrangements: Kamienski Funeral Home, Garfield.

ESTHER LEVINE PHILLIPS, 89, of Kearny and Fair Lawn died Wednesday. Before retiring in 1975, she co-owned Boulevard Sweet Shop, Hasbrouck Heights, and Phillips' Stationers, Midland Park. Arrangements: Jewish Memorial Chapel, Clifton.

WARREN RANGOLD, 89, of Clifton died Wednesday. He had been a boiler fireman for Dundee Mills, Passaic, where he worked for 20 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Arrangements: Marrocco Memorial Chapel, Colfax Avenue, Clifton.

ELAINE MacLEAN REISER, 72, of Clifton died Friday. Arrangements: Shook Funeral Home, Clifton.

ELKA FRIEDMAN SOLOMON, 87, of Fair Lawn died Thursday. Arrangements: Louis Suburban Chapel, Fair Lawn.

MARY KUCHAK SWAP of Midland Park died Thursday. Before retiring in 1972, she worked for Wostbrock Embroidery, Midland Park, for 30 years. She was a parishioner of Nativity R.C. Church. Arrangements: Olthuis Funeral Home, Midland Park.

JOYCE WALEC TENCZA, 84, of Cedar Grove, formerly of Clifton, died Friday. Before retiring in 1976, she was a nursing secretary for the Daughters of Miriam Home for the Aged, Clifton, where she worked for 15 years. She was a parishioner of St. John Kanty R.C. Church, Clifton. She was a member of American Legion Post 359 auxiliary, Passaic. Arrangements: Shook Funeral Home, Clifton.

JOAN VALLA TOMESCH, 84, of Little Ferry died Wednesday. She had taught catechism for 42 years at St. Margaret of Cortona R.C. Church, Little Ferry, where she also was a parishioner. Arrangements: Trinka-Faustini Funeral Home, Little Ferry.

VIRGINIA "JEAN" TORRE, 81, of Hasbrouck Heights died Thursday. She had been a businesswoman in property management and a former supervisor for Bell Telephone Co. She was a volunteer at Hackensack University Medical Center and a member of the Hasbrouck Heights Republican Club. Arrangements: Hennessey-Powell Funeral Home, Hasbrouck Heights.

JULIA D. MITTAL TURSICK, 83, of Garfield died Friday. She had been a secretary for Slovak Catholic Sokol in Passaic and previously for DuMont Television Studio in Clifton. She was a member of Most Holy Name of Jesus Slovak National Catholic Cathedral, Passaic, where she was a religious education teacher, and member of its Rosary Society and Celestial Choir. Arrangements: Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, Lexington Avenue, Clifton.

LOIS J. WILSON, 95, of Ridgewood died Thursday. Before retiring, she was a teacher at George G. White School in Hillsdale. Arrangements: C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home, Ridgewood.
