Jean Frederick
Jean Elizabeth Frederick, 71, died Wednesday, July 28, 1999, in Prescott.
She was born Feb. 2, 1928, in Mechanicsburg, Pa., to Arthur S. and Violet (Raudabaugh) Coover.
The Fredericks moved to Arizona in 1960. Until the last few years, Mrs. Frederick was active in the Relief Society of the LDS Church in Chino Valley, Del Rio Ward.
She and her husband celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 3 of this year.
Survivors include her husband, George of Chino Valley; son, Terry of Rio Grande, Puerto Rico; brother, Roy Coover of Carlisle, Pa.; sisters, Della Wing of Prescott, Treva Grunigen of Cinnaminson, N.J., and Arlene Lenker of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; and one grandchild.
A visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Relief Society room at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 441 W. Perkinsville Road, in Chino Valley.
The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Chino Valley Cemetery.

Gail J. Bennett
Gail J. Bennett, 56, died Sunday, July 25, 1999, in Prescott.
She was born July 16, 1943, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Roderick and Anne (Walte) Bennett..
Miss Bennett was a graduate of Edgewood College in Madison, Wis. She taught school in Garden Grove, Calif., before retiring in 1989 due to her health.
She moved to Prescott from California in 1990 and attended Calvary Chapel.
She is survived by a sister, Diana Kreger of Kenosha, Wis.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Calvary Chapel.

Janice Elaine Mathews
Janice Elaine Mathews, 57, died Monday, July 26, 1999, in Prescott.
She was born May 4, 1942, in Artesia, N.M., to George and Stella (Whitworth) Adams.
Mrs. Mathews was a secretary in the medical field. She moved to Arizona nine years ago from New Mexico. In her free time she enjoyed working with ceramics and being with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Joyce Gibson of Prescott Valley and Patricia Madron of Artesia, N.M.; brothers, Toby Adams of Prescott Valley, and Thomas Adams of Enid, Okla.; sister, Dorothy Morger of Bakersfield, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
A visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday at Sunrise Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sunrise Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Cunningham officiating. Interment will follow at Redwood Memorial Gardens in Dewey.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hospice of YRMC, Restricted Fund, 3262 N. Windsong Road, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314.

Anthony Ricca
Anthony George Manuel Ricca, 33, died Monday, July 26, 1999, in Black Canyon City.
He was born Sept. 15, 1965, in Long Beach, Calif., to George Manuel and Carlyne (Weaver) Ricca.
Mr. Ricca moved to Arizona 15 years ago from California. He was a truck driver for Ronnie Milsap Construction Co. in Phoenix. He had recently been taking care of his two nephews.
Mr. Ricca was preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors include his father, George of Eugene, Ore.; brothers, Michael of Spanaway, Wash., and Tom of Tenino, Wash.; and sister, Cassandra Ricca of Laguna Nigel, Calif.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 o'clock tonight at Sunrise Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m.

Betty Kamei
Betty Ann Kamei, 64, died Tuesday, July 27, 1999, in Prescott.
She was born Dec. 10, 1934, in Oahu, Hawaii, to Rider and Violet (Nunes) Mathison.
Mrs. Kamei lived for the past four months in Cordes Lakes after moving to Arizona one year ago from Colorado. She loved to pan for gold, and also collected coffee mugs.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas of Cordes Lakes; sons, Stephen of Camarillo, Calif., Edgar of Fremont, Calif., and Glenn of New York; daughter, Adele Kinkel of Littleton, Colo.; mother, Violet Mathison of Peoria; sisters, Pearl Heims of Richmond, Va., and Doreen Sequeira of Glendale; and six grandchildren.
A visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Sunrise Funeral Home, 8167 E. Highway 69, Prescott Valley, followed by a funeral service there at 11 a.m., with the Rev. James Cunningham officiating.

Anna D. Bowers
Anna D. Bowers, 68, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999, in Prescott.
She was born July 23, 1930, in Arkadelphia, Ark., to Thomas and Livvie (Moss) Paty.
Mrs. Bowers retired as a manager with the telephone company in 1984. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and attended Prescott United Methodist Church. She loved gardening and quilting and, as a member of the Mountain Top Quilters, won a first place ribbon this year.
Survivors include her husband, Rex, of Prescott; son, Gene Terrell, Jr. of Glendale; daughter, Vicky Solomon of Chandler; brothers, Thomas Paty of Tempe, Bill Paty of Phoenix, Robert Paty of Scottsdale and Rudy Paty of Glendale; sister, Margaret Pulver of Scottsdale; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Prescott United Methodist Church, 505 W. Gurley St. Cremation was private at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Prescott United Methodist Church, 505 W. Gurley St., Prescott, AZ 86301, or to the American Cancer Society, 915 E. Gurley St., Prescott, AZ 86301.

Virgil Weber
Virgil Weber, 88, a former Chino Valley resident, died Thursday, July 22, 1999, in Riverside, Calif.
He was born Aug. 12, 1910, in Oklahoma, to Jacob and Grace (Ramsey) Weber.
Mr. Weber graduated from Grenville High School in Grenville, N.M., in 1928. Along with his brother, he co-owned their father's grocery business, Weber & Sons, for 20 years in New Mexico. He later worked at Worthington Food Co. in Denver, retiring as sales manager in 1975.
He was a member and elder of the Seventh-day Adventist churches in Denver and Prescott.
He enjoyed auto racing, especially NASCAR.
Mr. Weber lived in Chino Valley for 13 years before moving to Riverside, Calif., five years ago.
Survivors include his son, Edward, of Riverside; daughter, Lu Ann Novits of Riverside, Calif.; and one grandchild.
A visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Sunday at Sunrise Funeral Home, 8167 E. Highway 69, in Prescott Valley, followed by the funeral service there at 11 a.m.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
Interment will be at Redwood Memorial Gardens in Dewey.

Donna F. Janssen
Donna F. Janssen, 83, died Sunday, July 25, 1999, at Prescott Samaritan Village.
She was born Jan. 14, 1916, in Woodbine, Iowa, to Erwin and Irene (Pearson) Henderson.
Mrs. Janssen moved to Arizona from Missouri in 1962, and moved to Prescott in 1976. She was a member of the Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted, in 1993.
Survivors include her sons, Gerald of Phoenix, Dale of Camp Verde, and Ivan and Lyle, both of Prescott; brother, Jack Henderson of Glenwood, Iowa; sisters, Nellie Charleson and Dorothy Thompson, both of Logan, Iowa, Bonnie Frahn of Blair, Neb., and Darlene Ball of Neosho, Mo.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Memory Chapel.
Memory Chapel Mortuary helped the family with arrangements.
