Lila Greek Farless, 97
McMinnville resident and Warren County native Lila Greek Farless, 97, died Nov. 6 at NHC Health Care after an extended illness.
A homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church, she was the daughter of George and Florence Pennington Greek; and was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Farless in 1996; one son, Leard Farless Sr. in 1982; and granddaughter, Sandy Farless Irwin.
She is survived by one daughter, Marie P. Nicolls of Bowling Green, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Bessie Farless of McMinnville; two granddaughters, Collene Doak Johnston of Yorktown, Va., and Salley Wolfe Lavery of Alliance, Ohio; two grandsons, Leard Farless Jr. of Huntsville, Ala., and Robert J. Wolfe of Manfield, Ohio; 11 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services were held Tuesday at Love-Cantrell & Cope Funeral Home Chapel with Robert J. Wolfe and Ron Martin officiating. Burial followed at Shellsford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
Love-Cantrell & Cope Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

James Clayton Fisher Sr., 79
Morrison resident James Clayton Fisher Sr., 79, died Nov. 7 at Coffee Medical Center after an extended illness.
A retired pipefitter and welder at AEDC and a member of Pleasant Knoll Church of Christ, he served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was the son of the late Alchan Bard and Lina Adell Clayton Fisher, and was preceded in death by one brother, Herbert Fisher.
He is survived by his wife, Johnnie Ruth Fisher; three sons, James C. Fisher Jr. of Texarkana, Texas, Larry Fisher of Manchester and John Fisher Sr. of Murfreesboro; three daughters, Beverly McKervie of Tullahoma, Kathy Intintoli and Debbie St. John, both of Morrison; one brother, Hurbert Fisher of Manchester; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday at Coffee County Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Morrison Cemetery.
Coffee County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Gary Lynn Jones, 52
McMinnville resident and Detroit, Mich., native Gary Lynn Jones, 52, died Nov. 6 at River Park Hospital after an extended illness.
A carpenter and factory worker, he was the son of Andrew Lavander and Beulah Mae Warren Jones.
He is survived by one son, Chris Jones of McMinnville; two daughters, Jennifer Maynard of McMinnville and Angelia Blair of Rock Island; two brothers, Alvin Jones and Harold Jones, both of Milwaukee, Wis.; great-aunt, Louise Bouldin of McMinnville; uncle and aunt, G.C. and Minnie Bell Warren of McMinnville; and four grandchildren.
Services were held Sunday at High÷s Chapel with Tony Lawrence officiating. Burial followed at Mt. View Cemetery.

James G. Kell, 72
Bone Cave resident and Van Buren County native James G. Kell, 72, died Nov. 9 at NHC Healthcare after a lingering illness.
A retired farmer and a member of the Church of Christ, he served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
The son of Charlie and Myrtle Kell, he is survived by friend, Alma Ruth Redmon; two sisters, Katherine Hooper of Arkansas and Dorothy Mayberry of Hawaii; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at High÷s Chapel with Barry Stroud officiating. Burial will follow at Crain Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County with military graveside rites administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service today at High's. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made the VFW or American Legion.

Mena B. (Mack) Maczka, 92
Morrison resident and Dalton, England, native Mena B. (Mack) Maczka, 92, died unexpectedly Nov. 10 at River Park Hospital.
A homemaker and a member of Chestnut Grove Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Danial and Rachel Boast Bateman; and was preceded in death by one sister, Lily Shanks; one brother, Daniel Ross Bateman; and husband, Andrew Maczka in 1974.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Beverly June and Monte Lee Smith of Morrison; and five grandsons, Gary W. and Alan R. Smith, both of New Baltimore, Mich., Donald C. Smith of New Haven,Mich., Kenneth L. Smith of Warren, Mich., and Paul G. Smith of Memphis, Mich.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Wesleys Chapel Cemetery in Viola. Visitation will be held from 1-9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Friday at McMinnville Funeral Home.

Tommie Elson Robinson, 81
Bethany community resident and Warren County native Tommie Elson Robinson, 81, died Nov. 9 at the Veteran÷s Administration Medical Center in Nashville after an extended illness.
A retired factory worker with Genesco and a member of the Methodist Church, he served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Centertown CIC, a treasurer with the Centertown Fire Department and a member of American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064.
The son of the late Noah and Mary Jacobs Robinson, he is survived by his wife, Lorene Prater Robinson; daughter, Marlene Carter of Pensacola, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Ann and Chris Bishop of Manchester; one sister, Edith Smith of McMinnville; grandchildren, Tammy and Kenneth Barkes of McMinnville, Jeff Coppinger of McMinnville, Tyler Locke of Pensacola, and Jonathan Locke of Pensacola; great-grandchildren, Chad and Hunter Coppinger and Heath Vinson, all of McMinnville; step-grandson, Airman Elijah Bishop of Lackland Air Force Base, Texas; step great-grandchildren, Brandon and Dynasty Barkes; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Dallas, Joyce K., James Pleas, Charlie and Gomer Robinson; sister, Ethel Ritchey and halfbrother, Willie Murphy.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at McMinnville Funeral Home with Frank Starling officiating. Burial will follow at Centertown Cemetery with military graveside rites administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Members of the Centertown Fire Department will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at McMinnville Funeral Home.

Cindy L. Wilkins, 34
Sioux Falls, S.D., resident and McMinnville native Cindy L. Wilkins, 34, died of natural causes Oct. 28 at Avera McKennan Hospital.
A dental hygienist and a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, she was active in Bible study at various Sioux Falls churches during the past 10 years. She attended schools in Tennessee and Glendale, Calif., and graduated from Flandreau High School in 1982. She attended the University of South Dakota in Vermillion.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Wilkins; five sons, Justin, Mitchell, Christopher, Ryan and Daniel, all of Sioux Falls; her parents, Tom and Betty Keck of Flandreau; grandmother, Geneva Ferrell of McMinnville; two brothers, Jon of Tennessee and Wesley of Flandreau; and one sister, Theresa Blumberg of Sioux Falls.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Monday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Sioux Falls with Father James Andraschko officiating. Burial followed at Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church Cemetery in Flandreau. Memorial donations may be made to the Cindy Wilkins Memorial Fund at any US Bank location.

Jimmy Lane Young Sr., 51
McMinnville resident and DeKalb County native Jimmy Lane Young Sr., 51, died Nov. 8 at River Park Hospital after an extended illness.
An assembly line worker with Carrier and a member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of Bernell Young of McMinnville and the late Beulah Daisey Certain.
He is survived by his wife, Georgie Young; one son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Tammy Young Jr. of McMinnville; one daughter and son-in-law, Angelia and Ray Carroll of McMinnville; two grandchildren, Alex Beaudion Jr. and Janie Carroll, both of McMinnville; two step-grandchildren, Scottie and Tiffany Reed of McMinnville; one sister, Ruth Martin of Rock Island; and three brothers, Morris Young of Rock Island, Glenn and Farris Young of McMinnville.
Services were held Tuesday at High÷s Chapel with Jackie Matheny officiating. Burial followed at Bethany Cemetery.
High Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
