PEKIN - Raymond Howard King, 72, died at 11:26 p.m., Monday, January 31, 2005 at Pekin Hospital.
Born June 15, 1932 to Robert and Bessie Boyd King, he married Thelma E. Quigley on November 22, 1947. She died June 14, 1976. He later married Gloria Jeannine Fowler Hoyle on September 23, 1978.
Surviving are his wife; 1 son, Scott King of Pekin; 2 daughters, Kathy King and Elaine Howard, both of Pekin; and 4 grandchildren.
Mr. King worked for Caterpillar, Inc. in East Peoria for 44 years.
Since 1994, he had been the host of 'Ray King's Variety Show', Thursdays at 7 p.m. on cable TV in Pekin since 1994.
He was a member of Emmanuel Community Church in Pekin.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, February 4, 2005 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin chapel. Rev. Dr. Steven Hauter will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, February 3, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.

VENEDA CLAUSON
(1946-2005)
GREEN VALLEY - Veneda Rose Clauson, 58, of 14309 Christmas Tree Road, died at 1:32 p.m., Sunday, January 30, 2005 at Pekin Hospital.
Born June 21, 1946 in Pekin to Ernest and Genevieve Breese Edwards, she married Larry Clauson on October 11, 1968 in rural Pekin.
Surviving are her husband; 3 sons, Kevin Edwards and Steven Null, both of Pekin, and Brad Clauson of Green Valley; 1 step-son, Curt Clauson of Pekin; 1 step-daughter, Brenda (Jeff) Johnson of Talbott Addition in Spring Lake; 7 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Larry L. Edwards, Jerry E. Edwards, and Terry E. (Verlie) Edwards, all of Pekin; and 2 sisters, Kathy (Don) Estes of Pekin and Crystal J. (Jim) Rice of Fellsmere, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 brothers.
Mrs. Clauson owned and operated Veneda's Snack Shack at Uhlman's Pumpkin Farm in rural Pekin. Previously, she had worked for Keystone Steel and Wire Company in Bartonville from 1974 to 2000.
She had attended First Assembly of God in Pekin.
She enjoyed collecting dolls.
Cremation will be accorded.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin chapel. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services at the funeral home.

MARY LOU SEELYE
(1928-2005)
PEKIN - Mary Lou Seelye, 76, of 341B Country Club Drive, died at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2005 at Hallmark House Nursing Center in Pekin.
Born April 19, 1928 in Harrisburg to Ralph Henry and Delia Melinda Walker Bath, she married Richard James 'Dick' Seelye on June 22, 1947 in Pekin. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Margaret S. 'Marggie' Seelye of Pekin; one sister, Sally J. Ennis Neale of Naples, Florida; one nephew, Steven J. (Connie) Ennis of East Peoria; and two nieces, Julie A. (Albert Jr.) Hettel of Marseilles and Maribeth (Bruce) Kendrick of Las Vegas, Nevada.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brother-in-laws (James Ennis and Gerald Neale).
In 1972, she and her husband began The Greenhouse Flower Shoppe in Pekin which they operated until January of 1991 when the business was sold to their daughter. Previously, she worked at Central Bank in Peoria as a teller and in the office of Pekin Hospital, where she was instrumental in starting the billing department.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She also was a member of the Pekin Country Club, where she golfed in the women's league for many years. She was a former member of the Pekin Hospital League and the Illinois State Florists' Association.
She enjoyed golfing, reading, knitting, and playing cards and Mah Jongg.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where visitation will be one hour before services. The Rev. Dwight E. Borden and Rev. Gary L. Ford will officiate. Cremation will be accorded.

RANDY G. BRASHIER
(1959-2005)
SAN JOSE - Randy Gene Brashier, 45, of 15208 North County Road 3800 East, died at 1:55 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2005 at the Methodist Medical Center of Illinois in Peoria.
Born March 27, 1959 in Florence, Alabama to Tom and Mary Elizabeth 'Libby' Hunt Brashier, Jr., he married Holly Denise Hackney on June 21, 1991 in Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are his parents of North Pekin; one son, Mitchell Wade Brashier at home and one daughter, Brooke Elizabeth Brashier at home.
His grandparents preceded him in death.
He worked for River City Construction for 11 years, last working as a Carpenter's Superintendent in October, 2004. He was a member of Carpenters Local 183 in East Peoria since January 16, 1989.
He was a member of McArthur Drive Baptist Church in North Pekin.
An outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hiking, camping and mushroom hunting. He also enjoyed woodworking and especially enjoyed spending time with his children.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, January 31, 2005 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Dr. Bobby E. Barnhill will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, January 30, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Brashier Children Benefit Fund in care of Associated Bank.

RUBY K. MORGAN
(1915-2005)
PEKIN - Ruby Katherine Morgan, 89, formerly of 336 Matilda Street, died at 11:20 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at ManorCare at Riverview in East Peoria.
Born August 29, 1915 in Mason County to Robert Lee and Allie Druien Thomas, she married Wilton Leroy 'Chick' Morgan on September 28, 1940 in Fairfield, Iowa. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Gayle Ann (Michael) Mirande of Bartonville; one son, Thomas J. (Kathy) Morgan of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Michael A. (Molly) Mirande, II of Westfield, Indiana, Stephen P. (Sharon) Mirande of West Chester, Ohio, Jessica A. (Josh) Weiss of Madison, Wisconsin and Theresa K. Morgan of Paradise, California; five great-grandchildren and one sister, Rosemary Schulz of Bedford, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Mary Catherine Mirande and one sister, Margaret T. Hooker.
She worked at Pekin Community High School District 303 for 19 years, retiring in 1975 as the cafeteria manager at West Campus.
She was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Council of Catholic Women and the former Altar & Rosary Society. She also was a member of the Tri-S Club at the Pekin YWCA.
She enjoyed reading, crocheting and playing cards.
Her funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 29, 2005 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. The Rev. Timothy Nolan and Deacon Martin A. Pogoli will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2005 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, with recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin.

VERA M. MCKINLEY
(1921-2005)
PEKIN - Vera Marjorie McKinley, 83, of 901 Illini Drive in East Peoria, died at 8:25 a.m. Monday, January 24, 2005 at the Methodist Medical Center of Illinois in Peoria. She was formerly of 1505 North 11th Street in Pekin.
Born July 19, 1921 in Havana to John and Marjorie Johnson Sieberborn, she married John Wayne McKinley on October 3, 1940 in Bloomington. He died January 9, 1977 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by one infant son, Dennis McKinley; two brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are three sons, Daniel L. (Lisa Engel) McKinley, Dean D. McKinley and Dale A. McKinley, all of Pekin; two daughters, Donna K Hays of Warrensburg, Missouri and Diane R. Ray of Havana; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
She worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for 42 years, retiring May 31, 1986 as an inspector in the seal room at Building NN in East Peoria.
She was a member of the Caterpillar Retirees Club. She also enjoyed camping at Kentuckiana at Hopedale and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Pekin.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 28, 2005 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Dwight E. Borden will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.

KENNETH J. CORNWELL
(1934-2005)
PEKIN - Kenneth James Cornwell, 70, of 259 Koch St. died at 12:25 a.m., Monday, January 24, 2005 at Pekin Hospital..
Born June 19, 1934 in Pekin to James Avery and Edith Katherine Hill Cornwell, Jr., he married Linda Lou Bitner on August 19, 1956 in Tazewell County. She died June 16, 1985 in Peoria. He later married Sharon Lucille Marshall on July 1, 1988 in Tazewell County.
Surviving are his wife; 5 sons, Kenneth D. Cornwell, James M. (Debbie) Cornwell, Gary S. Cornwell, Russell E. (Cindy) Cornwell, and Charles W. Cornwell, all of Pekin; 3 daughters, Tammie L. (Timothy) Calvin and Jody K. (Ronald) Hunt, both of Pekin, and Julie D. (Jessie) Hollis of Seabrook, Texas; 1 step-son, James (Glenna) Hayden of Pekin; and 1 step-daughter, Stephanie Hayden of Springfield; 33 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by 2 grandsons; 1 brother; and 1 sister.
Mr. Cornwell was a self-employed auto body and auto salvage technician.
He was an honorary member of Amvets Post #235 in Pekin.
He enjoyed old Western movies and building model cars.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 27, 2005 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin chapel. Rev. Quinn McKenzie will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.

BONNIE M. DICK
(1943-2005)
TREMONT - Bonnie May Dick, 61, of 113 West Ripley in Tremont, died at 3:10 a.m. Sunday, January 23, 2005 in Pekin. She was formerly of 1301 Fenley Street in Pekin.
Born December 16, 1943 in LaPrairie Township, Marshall County to Harry LeRoy and Grace Leona Stotler Colwell, she married Bernard Stanley 'Bernie' Dick on November 24, 1962 in Pekin. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Scott Allan (Lonna) Dick of Longview, Washington; two daughters, Kelly Michelle Albrecht of Morton and Brenda Lynnette (Gary) Waremburg of Tremont; seven grandchildren, Ashley N. Albrecht, Philip M. Albrecht, Sarah E. Albrecht, all of Morton, Lacey D. Dick, Brittany A. Dick, Jay T. Jacobs and Bret M. Jacobs, all of Longview, Washington; five brothers, Miles (Catherine) Colwell of Glasford, Charles (Dollie) Colwell of Peck, Idaho, Kenneth (Linda) Colwell of Sparland, Wayne (Mary) Colwell of Chillicothe and Ralph (Janet) Colwell of Genesee, Idaho and three sisters, Mary (Ed) Bireline, June Vonk, both of Chillicothe and Nancy (Alvin) Smolinski of Orofino, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Jordan Alexander Dick; one brother, Harry Colwell, Jr. and a son-in-law, Kirk Albrecht.
She worked in housekeeping at the former Holiday Inn in Pekin and then for the Fireside House. She then worked as the activities director at the former Perino's Nursing Home and later at the Galena Park Nursing Home. She later worked in the housekeeping department at the Riverview Retirement Community in East Peoria. She last worked part time for H&M Campers in Pekin.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pekin, where she helped several years with the youth program for high school students. She also was a member of the Heaven Bound Sunday school class at the church.
She was a charter member of the Heart of Illinois Jay Trackers Camping Club. Along with traveling Bonnie enjoyed rubber stamp card making. She also baked and decorated cakes for special occasions out of her home for many years.
Services will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2005 at First Baptist Church in Pekin. Pastor Mark D. Friday will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7:15 p.m. Thursday at the church. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield. Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.

GENE E. WILLIAMS
(1982-2005)
PEKIN - Gene Edward Williams, 22, of Pekin, was pronounced dead at 12:55 p.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at his residence.
He was born June 5, 1982 in Pekin to Eugene and Janice Ann Coram Williams. His father preceded him in death on August 5, 1983 in Marion.
Surviving are his mother of Pekin; two sisters, Janet M. Williams of Peoria and Gena M. (Riley) Whitener of North Pekin; one niece, Shyanne Alyssa Whitener of North Pekin; three step-sisters, Barb E. Dancel of Pekin, Karen S. Bennett of Paducah, Kentucky and Robin L. (Donald) Freeman of Canton; one step-brother, Larry D. Williams of Pekin and his maternal grandfather, Cleveland R. Coram of Pekin.
He worked for Burger King in Pekin for the past 3 years, last working Monday.
An outdoorsman, he loved to go fishing and camping.
His visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2005 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. Cremation will be accorded following the visitation. Burial of ashes will be in Shiloh Cemetery in Marion at a later date.

BONNIE A. CAMPBELL
(1930-2005)
PEKIN - Bonnie Arline Campbell, 74, of 7300 Oleander Avenue, Port St. Lucie, Florida, died at 12:20 a.m. Thursday, January 20, 2005 at St. Lucie Medical Center in Port St. Lucie, Florida. She was formerly of Pekin.
Born February 15, 1930 in Fryatt, Arkansas to William Luther and Florence Catherine Robertson Flynn, she married Charles Thomas Campbell on June 18, 1948 in Pekin. He died September 19, 1975 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sons (Martin C. Campbell and Jeffrey B. Campbell), and one sister-in-law (Shirley Flynn).
Surviving are one son, Eric S. (Vicki Hayes) Campbell of Fort Pierce, Florida; four grandchildren, Michael S. Campbell and Jeremy E. Campbell, both of Fort Pierce, Florida, Jessica L. Laws of Scott Air Force Base, and Justin S. Keyes of Pekin; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, E. Ruth (Ray) Bianchi and Roberta L. (Paul) Campbell, both of Pekin, Carol L. (Bob) Lumley of Ozark, Missouri, and Aleta V. (Sal) Way of Topeka; and three brothers, Aubrey R. Flynn of Green Valley, Roy H. (Janice) Flynn of Manito, and Kenneth L. (Vivian) Flynn of Pekin.
A homemaker, Mrs. Campbell was an avid reader and enjoyed writing short stories, poetry and songs. She also enjoyed flower gardening.
She formerly attended First Assembly of God in Pekin.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where visitation will be one hour before services. The Rev. Quinn E. McKenzie will officiate. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.

ROBERT K. "PEANUTS" STANTON
(1930-2005)
PEKIN - Robert Kenneth 'Peanuts' Stanton, 74, of 1403 West Shore Drive died at 6:24 p.m., Wednesday, January 19, 2005 in the emergency room at Pekin Hospital.
Born April 12, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri to Paul and Alvina Grindel Stanton, he married Wilma Lorraine Harvey.
He later married Mary J. McCulloch on March 3, 1977 in Pekin.
Surviving are his wife; 1 son, Robert A. Stanton of Pekin; 5 grandchildren; 2 step-granddaughters; 3 great-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Darlene (John) Norton of Roswell, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by 1 son, Denny Lee Stanton on February 22, 2004 in Peoria; 1 step-son, David Knapp on January 22, 1998 in South Carolina; and 1 brother, Richard Stanton.
Mr. Stanton was a tool and die maker and a machinist for 51 years. He last worked for Illinois Tool and Machine Company in North Pekin for 10 years. Previously, he had worked at H. Felde Tool and Machine Company in Peoria for 20 years, and Caterpillar, Inc. in East Peoria for 21 years.
He was a former member of Pekin Moose Lodge #916. He was a avid bowler, participating in the Peoria Journal Star Brothers Bowling Tournament for many years.
He enjoyed gardening.
He served with the U.S. Army in Korea from August 23, 1951 to October 25, 1952.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m., Sunday, January 23, 2005 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin chapel. Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the funeral home. Private burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.

FREEMAN M. CORDLE
(1944-2005)
PEKIN - Freeman Miller Cordle, 60, of 1003 Jefferson Street, died at 7:20 a.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at Manor Care Health Services in Peoria. He was formerly of 717 Maple Avenue in Galesburg.
Born June 24, 1944 in Dundas, Virginia to Claude H. and Margaret Eubank Cordle, he married Ruth Carolyn Newcomb on June 28, 1963 at the Plantersville United Methodist Church in Fort Mitchell, Virginia. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Ronda G. Taylor of Pekin; one son, Roger D. Cordle, Sr. of Colonial Heights, Virginia; three grandchildren, Rananda A. Taylor and Renee A. Taylor, both of Pekin, and Roger D. Cordle, Jr. of Colonial Heights, Virginia; two brothers, Harris Cordle and Herman (Judy) Cordle, both of Galesburg; two step-sisters, Naomi (Frank Jr.) Peterson of Galva and Maxine (Herbert) Nasland of Victoria; and several nieces and newphew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father (Orval Gates), two grandsons (Robert L. Taylor and Maxwell M. Cordle), two brothers (James D. Cordle and Edward Cordle), and one step-sister (Dalene Cramer).
Mr. Cordle worked for OMC Lawn Boy in Galesburg for 22 years in machinery repair, last working in 1985 when the plant closed. He then worked for Illinois Power in Galesburg for 15 years as a garage technician, retiring in 2000.
He was a former member of the Eagles Lodge and was a former social member of the American Legion, both in Galesburg.
He attended Pekin First Church of the Nazarene and formerly attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Galesburg.
He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and trap shooting. He also enjoyed doing mechanical and automobile bodywork.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 22, 2005 at the Pekin First Church of the Nazarene, where visitation will be one hour before services. The Rev. Greg Mason will officiate. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at East Linwood Cemetery in Galesburg.
Arrangements are by the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

M. EVELYN KRIGBAUM
(1918-2005)
Mary Evelyn Krigbaum, 86, of 120 Southwood Drive, Clinton, North Carolina, died at 4:50 a.m., Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at the Mary Gran Nursing Center in Clinton, North Carolina. She was formerly of Sunnyland and Glasford.
Born July 1, 1918 in Monmouth to Edward James and Clarinda Estelle Hedding Robertson, she married William Thomas Krigbaum on February 5, 1937 in Monmouth. He died November 9, 1968 in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by one granddaughter, two brothers and six sisters.
Surviving are one son, Robert C. (Veda) Krigbaum of Grand Forks, North Dakota; three daughters, Janet L. (Reuben) James of Falcon, North Carolina, Barbara A. (Arthur) Fore of Metamora and Carol L. (Dennis) Raines of Glasford; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.
She retired from K-Mart in Peoria as a department manager in 1984 after 25 years of service.
She was a member of Highview Church of God in Washington.
She enjoyed painting, working crossword puzzles and making crafts.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2005 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Creve Coeur Chapel. The Rev. Edwin R. Beasley will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before services Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Peoria.

DOROTHY M. BENNETT

PEKIN - Dorothy Mary Bennett, 89, of 706 South 7th Street, died at 4:20 a.m., Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at her residence.
Born November 12, 1915 in Minier to George and Rachel Matilda Winstead Hayes, she married Joseph Renic Bennett on January 22, 1940 in Pekin. He died October 13, 1970 in St. Louis, Missouri. She also was preceded in death by three great-grandchildren; six brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are three daughters, Rachel J. Myers, Patricia A. Barker and Mary J. Bennett, all of Pekin; three sons, Thomas W. (Linda) Bennett, Joseph D. (Judy) Bennett, both of Pekin and Charles W. Bennett of East Peoria; thirteen grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren and twenty-three great-great-grandchildren.
She worked as a nurse's aide at Floy's Nursing Home in Pekin for 3 years and then for 23 years at Pekin Hospital, retiring on December 31, 1980. She was a member of the Pekin Hospital Retirees Club.
She enjoyed reading, quilting and crocheting.
She was a former member of Deer Creek United Methodist Church.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 22, 2005 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
The Rev. Terry C. Edele will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Imhoff Cemetery at Congerville.

JERRY WINGER
(1968-2005)
PEKIN - Jerry Lee 'Skeeter' Winger, 36, of Pekin, died at 2:10 p.m. Sunday, January 16, 2005 at the Pekin Hospital Emergency Room.
Born November 27, 1968 in California to Suzanne Winger, he married Jackie S. Bartholomew on January 8, 1994 in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother of Pekin; one daughter, Kelsie J.J. Winger at home; one sister, Lia (David) Daniels of Texas; two brothers, Phillip (Misty) Winger and Aaron Winger, both of Pekin and several nieces and nephews.
He worked for Pepsi Americas in Morton as a fleet mechanic for the past 5 years, last working on Friday. He was a member of Teamsters and Chauffeurs Union Local 627 in Peoria.
He enjoyed fishing, motorcycling and four wheeling.
His graveside funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2005 at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. The Rev. Gary L. Ford will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.

NELLIE P. DICKERSON
(1911-2005)
PEKIN - Nellie Pearl Dickerson, 93, of 1520 El Camino Drive, died at 6:20 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2005 at Pekin Manor.
Born July 27, 1911 in Brookston, Indiana to Terry Albert and Laura Jane Roby Deweese, she married Donzil John Dickerson on November 27, 1934 in Edwardsville. He died October 13, 2002 in Pekin. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
Surviving are one son, Jack (Helen) Dickerson of Bethesda, Maryland; two grandchildren, Jacqueline C. (Nestor) Olivier of Saddle River, New Jersey and Brian J. Dickerson of Washington, D.C.; and one great-granddaughter, Anais I. Olivier of Saddle River, New Jersey.
A homemaker, she enjoyed baking and family time.
Private graveside services will be at Prairie Rest Cemetery in Delavan.
Arrangements are by the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.

DAVID H. BEIMFOHR
(1985-2005)
PEKIN - David Hallie Beimfohr, 19, of 13780 1st Street, Midway Addition, died at 7:04 a.m. Friday, January 14, 2005 at South Suburban Hospital in Hazelcrest.
He was born April 28, 1985 in Pekin to Hallie Lee and Rita Marie Wheeler Beimfohr.
Surviving are his parents of Pekin; three brothers, Dustin Lutz, Jeremy Beimfohr, and Daniel Lutz all of Pekin; two sisters, Amber Beimfohr and Deanna Huffman, both of Pekin; Paternal Grandparents, Hallie and Judy Beimfohr of Pekin; maternal grandparents, Bonnie Munson, and Rich and Brenda Wheeler, all of Pekin; and great-grandmother, Betty Wiggins of Pekin.
His great-grandparents preceded him in death.
He enjoyed boating, swimming, riding his bike, listening to music, and loved to visit his family.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, January 17, 2005 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.

WENDELL W. PERKINS
(1917-2005)
PEKIN - Wendell W. Perkins, 87, of 622 Washington Street, Pekin, died at 7:35 a.m. Thursday, January 13, 2005 at Rosewood Care Center in East Peoria. He was formerly of Creve Coeur.
Born October 20, 1917 in Narrows Township, Macon County, Missouri to Henry Clauda and Lelah Banta Perkins, he married Hettie Ruth Whiles on September 22, 1940 in Moberly, Missouri. She died March 25, 2004 in Pekin. He also was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are two sons, David C. (Connie) Perkins and Rodney J. (Sue) Perkins, both of Pekin; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one sister, Beatrice Baldwin of Macon, Missouri.
He was a World War II Army veteran and served with the 1265th Engineer Combat Battalion in the European Theater of Operations.
He was employed by Caterpillar, Inc. for 30 years, retiring in 1974 from the special attachments area in East Peoria.
A folk artist, he was a handyman and able to fix just about anything. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, January 17, 2005 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of services Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.

WILBUR F. STEINGRABER
(1926-2005)
PEKIN - Wilbur Francis Steingraber, 78, of 925 Audubon Drive in Pekin, died at 2:37 a.m. Thursday, January 13, 2005 at the Toulon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Born April 21, 1926 in River Grove, IL to Fred and Martha Rickert Steingraber, he married Kathryn Marie 'Kay' Maurer on January 26, 1952 in Normal, IL. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Sandra K. (Jeff de Castro) Steingraber of Trumansburg, New York and Julie M. (Doug Jones) Skocaj-Jones of Pekin; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; four step-great-grandchildren and three brothers, Fred (Lois) Steingraber of Villa Park, Leroy (Violet) Steingraber of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Roger (Joyce) Steingraber of Clinton, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.
A World War II Army veteran, he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant and served in the Mediterranean Theater of Operations and in the Yukon Territory in Canada. He also was a recruiter of the Fifth Army in Chicago. He was a former member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Steingraber attended the United States Armed Forces Institute, Northwestern University, The University of Illinois and received his Masters Degree in Business Education from Illinois State University. He was a charter member of the Delta Pi Epsilon Honor Society and was awarded membership in the Pi Gamma Mu Honor Society.
Mr. Steingraber was a professor of Business Administration and Accounting at Illinois Central College in East Peoria from 1967 until retiring in 1983. He previously taught business department classes at Pekin Community High School from 1953 to 1967.
He was a life member of the Illinois Education Association, National Education Association, Midwest Business Education Association, American Accounting Association, Illinois Vocational Association and the Illinois Business Education Association.
He wintered in Gulf Shores, Alabama and enjoyed woodworking, gardening and golfing.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pekin, where a memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, January 17, 2005. The Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, January 16, 2005 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. Cremation will be accorded. Burial of ashes will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin, with military rites accorded by the Tazewell Area Ceremonial Team.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Illinois Central College Educational Foundation, 1 College Drive, East Peoria, Illinois 61635 or to the First United Methodist Church, 1315 Court Street, Pekin, Illinois 61554.

SYLVIA L. DODILLET
(1925-2005)
MORTON - Sylvia Lee Dodillet, 79, of 191 East Queenwood Road, died at 3:20 a.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at Morton Terrace Care Center. She was formerly of 541 Roberts Street in Creve Coeur.
Born June 30, 1925 in Jay, Oklahoma to Floyd and Cora Lackey Birkes, she married Lloyd Justin Dodillet on December 22, 1945 in Piggott, Arkansas. He survives of Morton.
Also surviving are one son, Larry R. (Rebecca) Dodillet, Sr. of East Peoria; one daughter, Jo Ann (Robert) Sims of East Peoria; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edna (Samuel) Stuber of Centralia and Velma (Ivan) Yates of Flora; and two brothers, Floyd (Peggy) Birkes of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and William (Gale) Birkes of Monahans, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers (Harvey Birkes and John Birkes), and two sisters (Addie Arnold and Betty Lambird).
She was a former member of the McArthur Drive Baptist Church in North Pekin and Elmridge Baptist Church in East Peoria where she was a primary Sunday school teacher. She assisted her husband in his lay ministry at area nursing homes for many years. On June 3, 1962, she accepted Jesus as her Savior at the Elmridge Baptist Church in East Peoria.
She enjoyed making singing, cooking, baking, and making crafts.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2005 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Creve Coeur Chapel. Brother David B. Hickman will officiate. There will be no visitation. Cremation will be accorded.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Central Illinois Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, 606 West Glen Avenue, Peoria, Illinois 61614.

MILDRED E. ARMSTRONG
(1922-2005)
PEKIN - Mildred Evelyn 'Millie' Pye Armstrong, 82, of 2007 Sheridan Road, died at 4:35 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2005 at her home. She was formerly of East Peoria and Escondido, California.
Born January 10, 1922 in Bartonville to Warner and Mary Wick Pye, she married Paul E. Armstrong on March 24, 1967 in Janesville, Wisconsin. He died February 16, 1989 in California. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Surviving are one brother, Warner Pye of Glasford; two sisters, Leona 'Sis' Helms and Marie Wyss, both of Bartonville; and her niece, Cheri J. Davis, and grand-nieces, Mary Schlitt, Stacy Ogborn, and Amy Cunningham with whom she made her home.
A licensed funeral director and embalmer for 47 years, she was the first woman to practice in the East Peoria area. She began working for Harold Schmidt in 1942 at the Schmidt Funeral Parlors in East Peoria where she worked for many years and later owned and operated, until the sale of the funeral parlors to the late Robert Haller in 1968. In 1990, she was honored by the Illinois Funeral Directors Association for her 46 years of being licensed.
She also had been a deputy coroner for the Tazewell County Coroner's Office under Coroner Harold Schmidt.
She was a member of the United Reformed Church and Emblem Club, both in Escondido, California. She also had been a volunteer for the American Red Cross in Pekin.
She enjoyed reading and gardening.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, January 13, 2005 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where visitation will be one hour before services. The Rev. Harmen Heeg will officiate. Burial will in Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
Memorial contributions for a grave marker may be made to a fund which has been established at Herget National Bank in Pekin.

WAUNITA MAE GRAMMER
(1929-2005)
CREVE COEUR - Waunita Mae Grammer, 75, of 240 N. Stewart St. died at 2:30 a.m., Sunday, January 9, 2005 at Morton Terrace, Ltd. in Morton.
Born June 3, 1929 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Collett and Waunita Traverse Schahfer, she married Russell R. 'Buck' Grammer on November 5, 1948 in Lafayette, Indiana.
Surviving are her husband; 4 sons, Collett Russell (Carol) Grammer, William 'Bill' Edward Grammer, and Kyle Eugene Grammer, all of Creve Coeur, and Shannon Troy (Denise) Grammer of Campbell, Texas; 18 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Edward Jones; and 1 son, Martin D. Grammer on December 7, 1975 in Killeen, Texas.
Mrs. Grammer last worked as a school bus driver for the Creve Coeur school district for many years. Previously, she had been a waitress in the East Peoria area for many years.
She was a member and former deaconess at First Baptist Church in Creve Coeur.
She was a member of the Creve Coeur American Legion Post # 1234 Auxiliary.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at First Baptist Church in Creve Coeur. Rev. David Lynn will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Creve Coeur chapel. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.

TRENTON S. WHITFIELD

PEKIN - Trenton Scott Whitfield, infant son of Jacob Scott Whitfield and Jennifer Nicole Hayes, both of 2301 Broadway, Apartment 9A5 in Pekin, died at 8:53 p.m. Friday, January 7, 2005 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born earlier in the evening at 8:25 p.m.
Surviving are his parents; one sister, Aspen Paige Whitfield of Pekin; his grandparents, Peggy J. and Russell L. Farden of Marquette Heights, William D. Hayes of Canton, John L. and Linda L. Whitfield of Bellevue and Tanya L. and Clarence R. East of Bellevue and his great-grandparents, Shirley M. and Eugene O. Bloch of Peoria, William Hayes of Congerville, N. Helen Whitfield of Bartonville, Joyce Wheeler of Lake City, Minnesota, Donald C. and Patsy C. Farden of Morton and Kenneth C. Parm of Yates City.
His graveside funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin. The Rev. C. Edward Hudelson will officiate. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.

DOROTHY M. CLEMENTS
(1922-2005)
PEKIN - Dorothy Margaret Clements, 82, formerly of 1410 S. 11th St., died at 1:35 p.m., Friday, January 7, 2005 at Hallmark House Nursing Center in Pekin.
Born May 23, 1922 in Leroy, Illinois to Roy and Lola Worthy Wheeler, she married Lerton C. Clements on April 17, 1940 in Bloomington.
She was preceded in death by her husband on February 5, 2000 in Pekin; and 2 sisters.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Barbara Branch of Pekin, Carol (Greg) Hansen of Peoria, and Debbie Heston of Bettendorf, Iowa; and 2 grandsons, Jack and Jacob Heid, both of Peoria.
A 50 year member of First United Methodist Church in Pekin, she taught Sunday school for 30 years, was past president of the Esther Circle and past secretary for the United Methodist Women.
She served as a volunteer for Tri-County Women - s Strength.
She was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing cards.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at First United Methodist Church in Pekin. Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Monday, January 10, 2005 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin chapel. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.

CREVE COEUR - O. Lucille Myers, 92, of 500 Messenger Rd., Keokuk, Iowa, died at 12:35 p.m., Friday, January 7, 2005 at Lexington Square in Keokuk. She was formerly of 104 Gottlieb Ct. in Creve Coeur.
Born May 15, 1912 in rural Shelby County to William and Clara Pierson Clark, she married Ross H. Myers on November 25, 1933 in Strasburg, Illinois. He died on December 13, 1984 in Springfield, Illinois. She later married G.R. Beck in November 1988 in Keokuk, Iowa. He has preceded her in death.
Also preceding in death were 1 great-grandson, Cody Myers; 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Surviving are 1 son, Larry (Mary) Myers of Kahoka, Missouri; 3 grandchildren, Kyle Myers of East Peoria, Kent (Tammy) Myers of Keokuk, Iowa, and Kathy (Eric) Huls of Hamilton, Illinois; 5 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Mary Sheffield of Dixon, Tennessee.
Mrs. Myers had worked in the cafeteria at East Peoria High School for many years.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Creve Coeur, where she played in the 'Tea Pot Band'.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Clover Leaf Chapter #1102 in East Peoria.
She enjoyed baking and playing cards.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, January 10, 2005 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Creve Coeur chapel. Rev. David Lynn will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.

PEKIN - Hans J. Hagen, Jr., 78, of 1014 South Capital Street, died at 11:05 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2005 at his residence.
Born May 22, 1926 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Hans J. and Winifred J. Hartzell Hagen, Sr., he married Josephine J. Pumphrey on October 31, 1949 in Decatur. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Joanell M. (Jeffrey) Nail of Manito and Debbie S. (Dirk) Williams of Pekin; one son, Hans J. (Shelly) Hagen, III of Pekin; eight grandchildren, Danny R. (Traci) Buttrum, Jr., Hans J. Hagen, IV, Stephanie N. Hagen, T. Dirk Williams, Jr., Shane D. Svendsen, all of Pekin, Curtis J. (Jolene) Buttrum of Manito, Stacey M. Buttrum, of Danville and Stephanie L. Svendsen of Florida; six great-grandchildren and two brothers, Charles J. Hagen, Sr. of Pekin and Wayne (Patricia) Hagen of Mason City.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Deanna Zehr.
A World War II Navy veteran, he served as a motor machinist's mate in both the Pacific and Asian theaters.
He was a member of Steamfitters Local 353 in Peoria, where he worked out of for 58 years, retiring in 1986.
He was a life and 50-year member of Empire Lodge 126, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Illinois in Pekin. He was a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Peoria; Mohammed Temple, Shrine in Peoria; Irin Grotto; Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 916 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1869, all in Pekin. He also was a life member of the Roy L. King Veterans of Foreign 1232 in Pekin.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping and fishing.
He was of the Lutheran faith.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. Joel Gray will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, January 10, 2005 at the funeral home, with a Masonic service at 7:45 p.m. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin, with military rites accorded by the Tazewell Area Ceremonial Team.
