CRAIG DURAND DEPRIEST, age 41, of Mabelvale went to be with his Lord on September 17, 2008, asa result of injuries sustained in work accident. Craig was born on August 16, 1967, in Little Rock to his parents Elbert Depriest and Dana Depriest Ellison. Craig treasured spending time with his family, friends and children. Healways had a smile on his face and was willing to help anyone in need, no matter what was going on in his own life. Craig was a member of Christ Church and loved his church family. He had a true passion for serving God and would have given the shirt off of his back to anyone in need.
Craig is preceded in death by his father, Elbert Depriest; and his sister, Rebecca Depriest. Craig leaves behind his mother, Dana Ellison and her husband Buddy; his loving wife, Sherry Depriest. He also leaves behind his children: Michael Rivera, Nina Rae Rivera, Durand Depriest, Blake Depriest, and Craig Lynn Depriest. Stepchildren: Joshua Young, Ryan Moore, Destiny Ellingston, River Gross and Jordan Gross. Brothers: Mike, Doug and Joshua Depriest. Stepbrothers: Ray and Roy Depriest and Kevin, Wayne and Allen Ellison and two stepsisters, Robyn Depriest and Rita Ellison. Stepmother: Donna Depriest. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousin who all loved him and will miss him dearly. He also leaves behind a large church family who will hold up his memory and will be sorely missed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2008, from 6:00-8:00 at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home, 4212 Hwy. 5 North, Bryant 501-847-9099. A celebration of Craig’s life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. His Pastor and Uncle George Dudley will be officiating the service. Interment will be Bolin Cemetery in Paron, Arkansas.

JAMES EDWARD DICKERSON, 64, of Little Rock, passed away peacefully Tuesday with his family at hisside. He was fondly known as J.D. and is survived by his wife, Esther M. Dickerson, Little Rock; sons, Brian of Oakland, Calif. and Ryan Dickerson (Carmesha) of Little Rock; daughters, Sheila Jackson (Darrell)and Yolanda Mitchell both of Little Rock; a brother, Joe T. Dickerson (Stacey) also of Little Rock; sisters, Sandra Faye Baltimore, Sheila Taylor (Winfred) and Brenda Andrews (Lawrence all of Brownsville, Tenn. Services are 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 20th. Visitation begins at 1 p.m., Friday, with family hour 6-7 both at Dubisson Funeral Home, 374-5025.

NAPOLEAN DILLARD, 87, of Little Rock, departed this life Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008. He is survived bydaughters, Brenda Lowe of Dallas and Deborah Freeman; brothers, Roosevelt (Annette) Mitchell, Rev. William (Betty) Mitchell, Rev. Eddie (Cleo) Mitchell all of Little Rock and Virgil Mitchell of Atlanta, Ga.; sisters, Fannie Mae(Henry) Turner of Fresno, Calif., Rosetta (Lee Andrew) Lindsey, Ruthie Mae Pinkey, Juanita Robinson, and Beatrice Young all of Little Rock; four grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren. His services will be Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at Macedonia MBC at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Rest in Peace Cemetery in Hensley by Pine Bluff Mortuary Co.

H.L. “KENNY” HARRISON, 73, of Little Rock, died Wednesday, September 17, 2008. He was born July14, 1935, in El Dorado to the late Lewis Lee Harrison and Myrtle Fletcher Harrison. He was also predeceased by a brother, Lewis Lee Harrison, Jr. Kenny graduated from high school in Natchez, Miss. and received a BSdegree from Mc Neese State University. He worked in agricultural sales and was a member of the Arkansas Plant Foods Society. Kenny was an avid sports fan and enjoyed the outdoors. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral.
Kenny is survived by his wife of 49 years, Arthurine Harrison; daughter, Rhonda Harrison Hestir (Mike); grandson, Harrison Michael Hestir, who called him “Pap”; and two brothers, Marlton Ray Harrison and Jerry Wayne Harrison. He also leaves his special friend Pebbles.
There will be a memorial service 10 a.m. Saturday, September 20, at the Ruebel Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by The Rev. Canon R.Ewing Jackson. A graveside service will follow at the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral Garden followed by a reception in Morrison Hall. JAMES “JIM” D. PRUITT JR., age 85, of Little Rock died Thursday, September 18, 2008. He was bornin Sims, Texas, on March 15, 1923, to the late James Dalton Sr. and Edith Carter Pruitt.
Jim was an Army Air Corps veteran serving as a gunner during World War II. His business career was long and productive in the LittleRock Metro area for many years. He was a buyer of ladies shoes for Kempner’s Shoe Store which led he and his wife to open Jim Pruitt’s Shoe Store in Trellis Square in 1976. They decided to sell and retire in 1992 to a life of relaxation and travel accompanied by a favorite companion, their dog JoJo, who was named after his wife Norma. Jim was a true civic-minded businessman who eventually had joined about all the civic organizations that Little Rock had to offer and usually served as an officer if not President. As a private pilot license holder he loved to fly and had served on various private pilot associations and held numerous club memberships. He and Norma had been members of Highland Valley United Methodist Church for 56 years.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years: Norma Jo Still Pruitt; his daughter: Sandra Kuykendall and husband Terry of Little Rock; grandchildren: Dr. Tracy Kuykendall of Bixby, Oklahoma, and Christopher Kuykendall of Little Rock, and one great-grandchild: Alex Ivy of Bixby.
Funeral services will be Saturday, 10:30 a.m., September 20 at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Chapel (5800 W. 12th St., LR, Ark. 72204 ph#: (501) 661-9111) officiated by Rev. JAMES CARL ROBERTS SR., 81, of North Little Rock passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2008. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to the late Charles and Mamie Higgs Roberts. He was a member of Levy Baptist Church and retired from the North Little Rock Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Weise Roberts; two sons; Jimmy Carl Roberts (Becky) and Steve Roberts (Treva); two grandsons, J.P. Roberts (Kate) and Stephen Roberts and one granddaughter ShannonWalker (Derek); three great-grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth Kelley; and niece, Gail Keathley.

JOSEPH CLYDE “JOJO” ROBERTS of Jacksonville passed from this life on September 15, 2008 at ArkansasChildren’s Hospital. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on May 1, 2006.
He is survived by his father Jay Roberts and three brothers Jacob Tubbs, Joshua Roberts and Jayson Roberts all of Jacksonville, grandparents Jimmy and Lynne Roberts of Lonoke, great-grandparents, Doyle and Joyce Wilfong of Sherwood and Bill and Opal Roberts of Elkins, two aunts, Teresa Barkey and her husband, Ryan of Sherwood and Sheena Roberts of Sarasota Florida, Godparents, Arin and Seth Justice of Vilonia and a host of extended family all who will miss him dearly.

JOHNNY JOE SIEMS, age 92, of North Little Rock, formerly of Stuttgart and England, died Sept. 17, 2008, at St. Vincent Hospital North. Johnny was born Jan. 28, 1916, at Stuttgart to the late Paul and Ida Boch Siems. When he retired from the farming business, he moved to Memphis, Tenn., where he was manager of Epperson House Moving Co. until his retirement in 1980. Johnny was a member of First Christian Church of Stuttgart, member of England Lodge 107 where he was past Worshipful Master, a 32nd Degree Mason and a charter member of England-Keo Hunting Club.
Johnny was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lillian Tarkington Siems; five sisters; two brothers; and a granddaughter, Leslie Ann Eanes.He is survived by two sons, Kenny Joe (Linn) of North Little Rock and John Alan of Fayetteville; a daughter, Shirley Ann (Ed) Epperson of North Little Rock; two sisters-in-law, Hazel Siems of South Carolina and Dorothy Siems of Stuttgart; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and many loved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 20, at 2 p.m. at Turpin Funeral Home with visitation from 12:30-1:45 p.m. before the service. FRANKLIN ROOSEVELT WHEELER, age 74, of Little Rock passed away Wednesday September 17 2008. He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Wheeler; a son, James Edward Wheeler; three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his son, Timothy Franklin Wheeler; a stepson, Joey Richardson; a brother Bill Wheeler of Council Bluff, Iowa; two sisters, Peggy Faulkner and Phyllis Bulleton both of Caruthersville, Missouri; four grandchildren, Samuel and Jewelia Richardson, Daniel Haltom and Alleace Richardson. AUSTIN - Forrest Rickey Webb of Austin, formerly of England,went to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 17, 2008, after a long, courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. He was a member of the Westside Church of Christ of Cabot. Rickey was a devout Christian, and throughout hislife exemplified that patience is a virtue.
He was preceded in death by his father, F.W. “Buddy” Webb. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Virginia; a daughter, Sheila King and her husband Phillip of Blytheville; a son, Kevin Webb and his wife Kim; and his mother, Oddis Webb of England. He was “Poppie” to six grandchildren, Caden and Layne King of Blytheville, Kaleb, Kolby, Kyler, Kelsea Webb; two sisters, Kay Workman and her husband Dickie of Pine Bluff, and Beverly Morris and herhusband Lewis of Little Rock; and several nieces and nephews.
The Webb family would like to especially thank Dr. Pat Fields and Joe Colgrove R.N. at McClellan VA Hospital and Peggy Johnson and Arkansas Hospice for their tender care and compassion during Rickey’s illness.

BRYANT - Frances Corder Thompson, 71, of Bryant, Arkansas, was born November 9, 1936, to Howard and Eunice Corder, and she died Friday, September 12, 2008, at Benton, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hermon Thompson, and her parents. She was a member of 65th Street Church of Christ in Little Rock.

CABOT - Selina Marie Schmidt, 37, of Cabot passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2008, following acourageous battle with brain cancer. She was born February 21, 1971, in Little Rock to William Joseph Windemaker and Judy Pease Everett. Selina was a registered medical assistant at the Jacksonville Medical Clinic.
Selina is survived by her parents; husband, Donald Schmidt, children Briana and Tamara Johnson; stepson, Michael Schmidt; sisters, Shanon Henrie, Lariena Windemaker; brothers, Billy, Michael, Daniel (Ashley), Jessie (Miranda) and Justin (Tina) Windemaker; best friend, Susie Roling; longtime friends, Donna Suen, Lisa Murray; and numerousother friends, relatives and patients from Jacksonville Medical Clinic.

CONWAY - Opal Louise Shackelford of Conway, Ark., formerly of DeWitt, Ark., died Wednesday morning, Sept. 17, 2008. She was born in Ashdown, Ark., on August 18, 1923. Louise was a wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend who could charm your heart with her warm and inviting smile that seemed to always welcome everyone.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Grayson Shackelford, whom she loved and devoted her life to for 58 years; her father and mother, William Thomas Franks and Effie Rebecca Franks; her sisters, Johnnie Myrtle Bland and Lillie Alzenia Etter and her brothers, Jake Franks and Charlie Lee Franks.
Louise is survived by her son, Thomas Grayson Shackelford Jr. and wife, Greta Shackelford and grandson, Thomas Grayson Shackelford III of Conway; sisters, Daisy Lucille Meadows and her husband, Everett of North Little Rock and Mildred Lorene Pogue and her husband, Wilbert of North Little Rock; one brother, Gerald Leon Franks of Fort Smith; and many nieces and nephews. All of her family was very special to her and she loved each and every one dearly.

GREERS FERRY - Joe T. Gray, 96, of Greers Ferry was born in Shiloh, Arkansas, on January 7, 1912. The day came when our Lord and Savior looked down upon Southridge Nursing Home and took my father by the hand to join my mother on September 17, 2008. He had called upon her so many times in the past few weeks that it came time for him to join her. He was the son of Joe and Pearl (Brady) Gray. He professed his faith at an early age at the Shiloh Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Ivory Ann (Dillon) Gray; one son, Floyd J. Gray; and one daughter, Maxine Gray. Mr. Gray retired from Olivette Supply Company in Greers Ferry, Arkansas.
He is survived by a daughter, Mary Louise Griggs of Greers Ferry; one brother, Paul Gray of Searcy; five grandchildren and their spouses, Vicky Lou and Lynn Lockard, Treva Ann and Rodney James, Valerie and Tony Davis, Sandra Perkins, and Ann and Larry Guthrie; nine great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren; four nephews and four nieces. Mr. Gray is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 19, at Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc. from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Shiloh Cross Roads Church at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2008, with Bro. Homer Branscum officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cross Roads Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bradley Davis, Greg Jumper, Shane Parish, Bruce Gray, Richie Gray, and Gardner Bittle. JONESBORO - Beatrice “Bea” De-Ford Hunter, 88, of Jonesboro, was born on February 22, 1920, daughterof Warren Cylvester and Roxie Adkisson DeFord. She departed this life on September 16, 2008. Bea graduated from Trumann High School as valedictorian and was captain of the basketball team. She loved music,especially country western music. She was a singer and at one time hosted her own radio program in Memphis. She was a backup singer and guitarist for Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys.
In 1941, Bea married Robert Hunter. Blessed with the birth of a daughter, the couple spent 66 years together prior to Mr. Hunter’s death in February, 2008. From the earliest years of their marriage, Bea and her husband were devoted members of First Christian Church in Jonesboro. Bea always taught children at church. For 15 years, Bea and her husband served as youth directors. Most recently, she had served as the adult education teacher.
After her daughter graduated from college, Bea pursued her personal dream and entered Arkansas State University to become a teacher of children with special needs. She graduated magna cum laude and later received a Master of Science in Education degree. Bea had an intense passion for working with children with special needs. Early in her teaching career, Bea saw the need for services for special needs children and was instrumental in seeing that these needs were met in northeast Arkansas as a devoted teacher at the Cottage of Hope.
An avid environmentalist, Bea had planted over 1,000 pine trees. She knew the migration patterns of many species of birds, keeping intricate logs on their movement. She was also a published author of genealogy and poetry.
Bea is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Allan Port; grandson, Hunter Port; granddaughter, Maggie DeFord Port, all of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by a sister, Nell (Mrs. Jim) Justus, Decatur, Alabama; five sisters-inlaw, Dorothy Coleman, Connie Berry, May DeFord, Roberta DeFord, Ruby Hunter; brother-in-law, Roy Hunter and his wife, Bonnie; and many nephews, nieces, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church with Jerry Wilcox officiating. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Family members and men of First Christian Church will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
She will be loved and remembered for her compassion, unparalleled friendship, great humor and many accomplishments.

LAKEVIEW - Mrs. Emily Ellen Phillips, 62, of Lakeview died Wednesday. Survivors include son, David M. Phillips and grandson, Eli L. Phillips, both of Little Rock. ROGERS - Lois Roller Huskey, age 76, of Rogers, flew home to Glory on September 15, 2008, following a stayat the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born February 7, 1932, in Monte Ne, the only child of the late William and Ethel McGarrah.
The family moved to Rogers where Lois attended school throughthe 11th grade. In Rogers, she met and later married Johnny H. Roller on December 27, 1948. The couple worked together building a successful farm and business, and attended the Freewill Baptist Church in Rogers, where both were active members. Lois served the church in various capacities: arranging flowers for the altar, teaching primary grade Sunday school, and both writing and directing Easter and Christmas plays. She also sang in the church choir and in a trio that consisted of her mother, Ethel, and her eldest daughter.
As a homemaker, Lois worked at everything from canning vegetables and sewing clothes for Barbie Dolls to driving the hay baling tractor and hauling her four sons to ball practice. She also developed familyfavorite recipes for cinnamon toast.She was an avid reader, and she enjoyed all the seasons of the year and found pleasure in small treasures like an early morning snow or a springtime thunderstorm. She especially loved the Christmas season and passed this love on to all her children.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Roller, who died in September 1990. They were married almost 41 years at the time of his death.
Later, she married Lavern Huskey on October 15, 1993. She supported her new husband, a Baptist minister, by continuing to teach children and doing whatever needed to be done in his church. The couple enjoyed traveling and spending time camping in their RV during their fifteen years of marriage.
Survivors include her husband, Lavern Huskey and his three daughters, Joyce, Sheila, and Beverly, and their families. Lois’ own surviving children include, Jerry Roller and wife Janelle of West Fork, Shella Sherry and husband, Rod of Russellville, Rickey Roller and wife, Cheri of Elm Springs, Jack Roller of Seligman, Missouri, Rebecca Roller of Centerton, Tony Roller and wife, Annette of Rogers; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2008, at Callison-Lough Funeral Home, Rogers. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. on Friday at Rogers Freewill Baptist Church officiated by Bro. Arthur Lee Galloway. Burial will follow in Benton County Memorial Park.
Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be her sons and grandsons.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Callison-Lough Funeral Home in downtown Rogers.

ROSE BUD - Wanda Jean Collinsworth, age 81, from Rose Bud, died Wednesday, September 17, 2008 in Searcy. Graveside Service will be Saturday, September 20, 2008 at 10 a.m. at White County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, September 19, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home.

SEARCY - Helen Edwards Hammock, born November 20, 1914 and passed away September 17, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Daniel W. Hammock, father, mother, and four sisters. She is survived by one brother, Charley Edwards and wife, Madia of Searcy; a son, Curtis Hammock of Little Rock; one daughter, Glenda Beck of Hurst, Texas; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many other relatives and friends. WEST MEMPHIS - Louise Dacus Lalman, 91, of West Memphis, Arkansas passed away September 17, 2008 at her residence in West Memphis. Mrs. Lalman was owner & operator of Lalman Mobile Home Park & Lalman, Inc. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in West Memphis. She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha at the University of Arkansas; member ofthe Twenty Club; member of Paul Harris fellow of Rotary International and a Rotary Ann; member of the Mississippi Senior Golf Association and board member of the Ralph Hamilton Scholar Ship Fund.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Ed Lalman and survived by one daughter, Louise Lalman Percer of West Memphis; grandchildren, Cham & Becky Percer of West Memphis and Weesie Percer of Memphis, Tenn., and one great-grandchild, Tyler Percer.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 21, 2008 from 4-6 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis and services will be 2 p.m. Monday, September 22nd in their Chapel with interment following at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Ark.

VERONA, N.J. - Constantino Formicola, 77, of Verona on September 17, 2008. Raised in the St. Georgesection of Staten Island, N.Y., he lived in West Caldwell for 16 years before moving to Verona in 1994. A Graduate of the Brooklyn Tech High School in 1948, CCNY School of Engineering with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1953, and a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University in 1956, Constantino worked for RCA Victor 1956-1961 on the design of vacuum tubes for the first color TV. Later he worked for Johnson & Johnson, Chicopee & Little Rock, Ark., 18 years as Associate VP and Director of Engineering from 1961-1978. He was Director of Engineering at Vibra Screw Inc., in Totowa 1978-1975. He loved travel, opera and golf, and was an avid reader of science and biographies.
Predeceased by first wife, Dorothy (Gorman) and son Robert Charles. Survived by wife, Doris B. Keely Formicola, daughter, Dorothy Formicola of Hong Kong, son, Thomas Edward and wife, Cynthia of Little Rock, Ark., daughter, Nancy Saake and husband, Mark of Cumming, Ga., six grandchildren Joseph, Phillip, R. Nicolas Formicola, Ashley, Kaitlin and Brian Saake; sisters, Marie Formicola of Bonita Springs, Fla., and Gloria Davio of Hawthorne; nephews, Gerald, Louis and MichaelDavio, their spouses and children.

TEXAS CITY, Texas - Bill Lewis Brown, 55, of Texas City went to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 17, 2008. He was born July 22, 1953, to L.Y. and Bernice (Bonnie) Brown in Crane, Texas. Bill was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Texas City, where he served as Director of Music for over 20 years. He received his Master’s Degree in Music Education from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
Bill was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Earl Perry, and his father, L.Y. Brown. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Mona Brown; his son, Bryan Brown; and his granddaughter, Mia Brown, all of Texas City; his mother, Bonnie Brown of Warren, Arkansas, and his mother-in-law, Katherine Perry of Benton, Arkansas.
Visitation will be at Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, Texas, on Saturday, September 20, 2008, at 1 p.m. followed by funeral services in the Chapel at 2 p.m. with Bro. Mark Smith officiating, assisted by Bro. Carl Fitzgerald. A graveside service under the direction of Frazier Funeral Home will be held on Monday, September 22, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Prosperity Cemetery in Herbine, Arkansas, with Bro. Jerry Carter officiating.
