1999 - KATHLEEN ANN CRIBBS -- May 19,1943 to March 29,1999. The most loved and cherished wife of Glenn Cribbs and most adored, loved and treasured mother of Lisa Cribbs and her fiance Mark Whitcomb, Kimberly Wrenn and her husband Kevin, Melanie Gallardo and her husband Aaron, and loving grandmother of
Hannah Wrenn and Ethan Wrenn. Her love, compassion and kindness affected everyone who met her. Through God's grace and mercy, she glorified and honored Him all the days of her life by loving her family, relatives, friends and anyone who entered her life at any time. She was a wonderful source of love, kindness, support and nurturing. Her memory will live on forever through the goodness and unconditional love that made her an example of how God wants His children to live out their lives in this world. Although we hurt very much we know she is with the Lord Jesus Christ and is loving and being loved with Him in his kingdom. The angels are rejoicing.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, April 6, 1999, 7:00 PM at South Hills Community Church at 6601 Camden Ave. in San Jose. Donations may be made to South Hills Community Church in her memory or the American Cancer Society in her honor. 1998 - WARREN CRIBBS, 67, died Saturday, Aug. 1, 1998, at a Wichita Falls hospital following a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Strange and the Rev. Ron Fox officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery.

Mr. Cribbs was born May 7, 1931, in Chillicothe, Texas. He and Patsy Deen Davis were married in 1954 in Childress. He was a graduate of Chillicothe High School. He served in the Navy in the early 1950s as a diesel mechanic. He was a retired miller at Vernon Cellanese Plant. He was a longtime resident of Wilbarger and Hardeman counties. He was a member of Chillicothe Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Warren Cribbs of Childress; two daughters, Sherry Torres of Oklaunion, Texas, and Katra Blacksher of Vernon; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The family will be at the Augusta Apartments No. 223 in Vernon.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. - VERNON, TX - Wichita Times Record-News.

1999 - LUZELL CRIBBS, 92, of Ralls, Texas, died Friday, Jan. 22, 1999, in a Ralls, Texas, nursing home.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Eastview Cemetery of Vernon with the Rev. John Lowrey officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cribbs was born Aug. 20, 1906, in Decatur, Texas. She and Clifford Robert Cribbs were married Jan. 25, 1925, in Crowell, Texas. He died March 6, 1974. She moved to Wilbarger County with her family in 1922 from Decatur. She had been a resident of Ralls since 1991 and was a member of First Baptist Church. Her son, Robert Ray Cribbs, died in 1935.

Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Bruington of Petersburg, Texas; two sons, M.J. and Wayne N., both of Seattle; a sister, Mary Jo Stokes of San Antonio; a brother, John Fred Belew Jr. of Vernon; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The family will be at the funeral home from 1 p.m. Tuesday until the service. VERNON, TX - Wichita Times Record-News

1999 - EULA MAE CRIBBS, 88, of Olney, died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1999, in a Olney hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Lunn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Max Burkhead, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Newcastle Cemetery.

Mrs. Cribbs was born Aug. 13, 1910, in Newcastle, Texas. Her husband, Aubrey T. Thompson, died in 1979. She was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist Church. She was a resident of Young County most of her life.

Survivors include a son, J.R. Thompson of Blackwell, Texas; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. - OLNEY, TX - Wichita Times Record-News

1999 - NORMA CRIBBS, 49, died Tuesday at home.

She was born March 16, 1949, in Fulton, Ky. An associate in the gaming industry, she was a resident of Las Vegas.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; and daughters, Glenda Singer, Sheila Higgins and Sharlene, all of Las Vegas; mother, Mary Mack of Thompsonville, Mich.; brothers, Clarence Casey of Port Huron, Mich., and Harold Casey and William Casey, both of Thompsonville; and sisters, Elizabeth Stuckey of Kimball, Mich., Madge Parker of Bloomington, Ill., and Jonelle McVay, Juanita Robinette and Carol Fowlkes, all of Port Huron.

Services will be held in Port Huron under the direction of Jowett Funeral Home. The family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

1999 - RICHARD JACKSON CRIBBS, (Mr. Jack), 72, passed away 4-23-99. Mr. Jack was a U. S. Navy Veteran who served in the Philippines. A Lawn Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held on 5-15-99 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 1819 Heights Blvd. At 10 AM. Services will be officiated by Rev. Robert Carter. 1999 - ELLA MAE CRIBBS, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 21, 1915, in Oconee, Okla. A resident for 45 years, she was a homemaker. She is survived by one daughter, JoAnn Terry of Las Vegas; one son, John W. Cribbs of St. George, Utah; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. 1999 - RICHARD DEAN CRIBBS, 80, of Winter Haven, died Tuesday, March 23, 1999, at his residence. He was a native of Live Oak, who came to the area from Plant City, in 1991. He was a builder in the construction industry, and of the Baptist faith. He was a Navy veteran. He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Cribbs of Winter Haven; a son, Richard Cribbs of Plant City; three daughters, Kathy Johnson of Winter Haven, Judy Williams of Plant City, and Patsy Cribbs of Lakeland; two brothers, James Cribbs and Havard Cribbs, both of Plant City; two sisters, Saloma Gault of Brandon, and Shirley Baxter of Plant City. 1998 - RACHEL KIZER CRIBBS, Rachel Kizer Cribbs, 86, homemaker, died of heart failure Tuesday in Dyersburg. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Johnson Funeral Home in Newbern with burial in Roellen Cemetery. She was a member of Roellen Church of Christ. Mrs. Cribbs, the widow of John Nolen Cribbs, leaves a daughter, Joanne Thornton of Nashville; a son, Tommy Cribbs of Dyersburg, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. 1999 - IRENE E. CRIBBS, 89, Bradenton, died Jan. 18, 1999. She was born May 7, 1909, in Washington, D.C., and came to Manatee County 42 years ago from there. She was a retired federal government employee and a member of Congregational United Church of Christ. She was a life member of Chi Sigma National Sorority in Washington. 1999 - BETTY I. CRIBBS, 77, of 242 Bear Creek Road, Buffalo Township, died at 7:35 a.m. Tuesday at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. Born April 22, 1922, in Cabot, she was the daughter of Howard "Jake" and Nellie (Faulkner) Noble. She was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Freeport. Surviving are her husband, Logan Cribbs, Jr.; five daughters, Mrs. Darryl (Sandra) Elder and Mrs. Thomas (Leisa) Brothers, both of Buffalo Township, Mrs. David (Linda) Beatty of Grove City, Mrs. Richard (Shirleen) Mitchell of DuBois and Beth Cribbs of New Kensington; three sons, Logan Cribbs of Indiana, Pa., Terry Cribbs of Valencia and Keith Cribbs of Buffalo Township; a brother, Howard Noble of Cabot; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Betty I. Cribbs, who died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 1999, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at REDMOND FUNERAL HOME, 524 High St., Freeport, with the Rev. James Neal, her church pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Sarverville Cemetery, Buffalo Township. There will be no public visitation.

1999 - C. HADEN CRIBBS, SR. born September 5, 1918 and died on September 13, 1999. Age 81 years. A longtime resident and business man of Beaumont, Texas. Preceded in death by wife, Mary Louise Choate Cribbs. Survived by: two sons; C. Haden "Sonny" Cribbs, Jr. of Beaumont, and F. Thomas Cribbs and two daughters; Elizabeth Alexander of Metairie, LA. and Lynda Etheridge of N. Little Rock, Arkansas; and a brother, Bobby M. Cribbs of Pasadena, Texas; and eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Mr. Cribbs was a veteran of World War II, a member of the American Legion 40 et. 8, and a past commander of the American Legion Post 33. He was honored in 1998 as a continuous American Legion member for over fifty years. Graveside services will be held at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont on Saturday, September 18, 1999 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Eldon Reed officiating.

1947 - MRS. MARY E. CRIBBS, 89, widow of William Cribbs and a resident of this city [New Philadelphia, OH] most of her life, died at 5:30 a.m. today at her home 747 Third street, SE., this city. She had been ill four months. A daughter of the late Jonathan and Permelia Demnana Neeriemer, Mrs. Cribbs was born in Newcomerstown June 17th, 1858. She was married November 3rd, 1895, and her husband died February 18th, 1943. She was a member of Broadway Methodist church. Surviving are an adopted son, Clyde Cribbs, resident unknown, and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the late residence, where friends may call after 7 tonight. The Rev. S. P. 1998 - BEULAH MOSELY CRIBBS, 93, died Dec. 20 at Memorial Medical Center. She was a native of Evans County and the widow of Elliott Cribbs. She was owner and operator of Ide-A-While Apartments at Tybee Island for 48 years, and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She had served as the church hostess and was very active in the Joy Sunday School Class. She was a member of Amity Chapter, No. 183, Order of the Eastern Star, the Demolay Mothers Club and American Business and Professional Women.
SURVIVORS: two daughter, Eloise C. Williby of Savannah and JoAnn C. Stearns of Texarkana, Texas; two sisters, Mollie and Ruby Anderson, both of Savannah; three grandchildren and granddaughter-in-law, Edward J. Williby III and Dianne Williby of Savannah, Robin and Renee Stearns of Texarkana; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home, burial in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.

1943 - WILLIAM M. CRIBBS, 74, a retired carpenter, died this morning at 2:30 at his home at 747 Third street SE., this city, following an illness of two years' duration. Born at Nineveh on Mar. 21, 1868, he was the son of the late Henry and Elizabeth Rice Cribbs. He was a member of the Broadway Methodist church. Surviving are the widow, Mary Neerimer Cribbs, an adopted son, Clyde Cribbs of East St. Louis, Mo., and a brother, Jacob Cribbs of Tuscarawas. Two sisters and two brothers preceded him in death. Friends may call after tomorrow noon at the residence where funeral services, in charge of the Lewis Funeral Home, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Rev. 1999 - CARRIE ROPER FULTON WILEY passed away July 16, 1999 at the age of 83 years, 10 months and 25 days. She was born August 21, 1915 in Raleigh, NC to Harry Rascoe Fulton of Oxford, MS and Nell Cribbs Fulton of Tuscaloosa, AL. Carrie-Roper married Dr. Llewellyn Noel Wiley of Vienna, VA, November 11, 1942 in Nashville, TN. Dr. Wiley preceded her in death June 26, 1997. Carrie-Roper was a member of Kappa-Delta Sorority, D.A.R. and Daughters of The Confederacy and The National Society of Colonial Dames. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert B. Fulton III; daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Brett; son, Harry F. Wiley; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, July 21, 1999, at 6:30 P.M. at St. Chad's Anglican Church, 11919 Orsinger. Burial will be in Washington, D.C. at Rock Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Chad's Anglican Church. Arrangements with: Ortiz Mortuary.

1999 - M. E. `GENE' CRIBBS [Myrt], 76, retired assistant state conservationist, died of heart failure Wednesday at Mississippi Methodist Hospital and Rehabilitation Center in Jackson. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Rosemound Cemetery in Tutwiler. Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton has charge. He was a member of Clinton United Methodist Church, Shrine Club, Wahabi Temple, Masonic Lodge, and a World War II Army veteran. Mr. Cribbs, the husband of Bess Cribbs, also leaves a daughter, Cindy Wallis of Madison; a son, Bo Cribbs of Mandeville, La.; two sisters, Louise Rasmussen of Albuquerque, and Belle Cribbs of Destin, Fla.; a brother, Fred Cribbs of Brandon, and four grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Clinton First United Methodist Church or Tutwiler First United Methodist Church.

1999 - EDNA CROTHERS CRIBBS, 75, of Washington, formerly of Canonsburg, died at 10:55 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 1999, in Manor Care of McMurray. She was born March 9, 1924, in Johnstown, a daughter of Chester and Anna Wagner Hitchew. Mrs. Cribbs was a former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Canonsburg. She lived in Canonsburg for 45 years before moving to Washington. Mrs. Cribbs was a member of GBU Club and AGA Club, both of Canonsburg.
Surviving are five sons, Daniel Romano of Heidelberg, Chester Crothers of Washington, Robert Crothers of Canonsburg, Mark Crothers of Washington and Thomas Crothers of Canonsburg; a daughter, Donna Matthews of Cecil Township; two brothers, James Hitchew of Connecticut and Chester Hitchew Jr. of Lunenburg, Mass.; a sister, Nancy Horner of Summerset, Ky.; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a son, William Romano; and two sisters, Dorothy Knold and Katherine Davis.

1999 - ANGELIA MARIE CRIBBS, college student ATHENS -- Funeral for Angelia Marie Cribbs, 26, of Harvest was to be today at 1 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Everett Conn officiating. Burial was to be in Huntsville Memory Gardens. Ms. Cribbs died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1999, in Madison County. She was born Jan. 15, 1973, in Athens. A member of Capshaw Church of Christ, she attended Ardmore High School and was a student at Calhoun Community College. She is survived by her parents, Granville and Kathy Cribbs of Harvest; one brother, Neal Cribbs of Harvest; one sister, Christy Hall of Harvest; and her grandmothers, Virgie Cribbs Leonard and Ester M. Laxson, both of Athens. Pallbearers were to be George Burks, Levi Cawthorne, Melvin Laxson, Larry Parvin, Mack Cribbs and Jimmy Cribbs.

1999 - JOHNNY PAUL CRIBBS, ALACHUA - Johnny Paul Cribbs of Alachua died Tuesday [Apr. 27, 1999] at his home after a long illness. He was 51. Mr. Cribbs was a construction worker. Born in High Springs, he was a lifelong resident of Alachua County. Mr. Cribbs was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Jaueline Cribbs of Alachua; a son, George Victor Cribbs of Newberry; a daughter, Tina Marie Leslein of South Carolina; a brother, Danny Hanna of Hawthorne; a half-brother, Harvey Lee Cribbs of New Port Richey; four sisters, June Rhoden of Alachua, Lottie Newman of Newberry, Joann Meeks of Oneco and Jane Smith of Bell; 26 grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren.

1999 - WILLIAM GLEN CRIBBS, of Gainesville died Tuesday [Nov. 30, 1999]. He was 71. Mr. Cribbs was born in Hortense, Ga., and moved to Gainesville from Fort Lauderdale in 1985. He worked in sales promotion for the Florida Department of Citrus. He held an embalmers license and worked in the Fort Lauderdale area in the funeral industry. Mr. Cribbs was a member of Northwest Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Patsy Patton Cribbs of Gainesville; two sisters, Maxine Westberry of Brunswick, Ga., and Ouida Proulx of Largo; and two brothers, Donal Cribbs of New Smyrna Beach and Benny Cribbs of Guyton, Ga.

1999 - RICKEY DALE CRIBBS, 43, commercial truck driver ATHENS, AL -- Graveside service for Rickey Dale Cribbs, 43, of Tanner was to be today at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery with Danny McMullins officiating and Limestone Chapel Funeral Home directing. Mr. Cribbs died Monday, Oct. 4, 1999, at his home. He was born Jan. 31, 1956, in Limestone County. He was a commercial truck driver. He is survived by one son, Brandon Dale Cribbs of Cullman; one daughter, Misty Nicole Cribbs of Cullman; his mother, Clara Cribbs of Athens; one brother, Lamon Cribbs of Athens; and two sisters, Sue Schrimsher and Charlotte Cottles, both of Athens.
