ELSIE PAULINE STANGE OF IRONDALE, MISSOURI, WAS BORN JULY 26, 1917, A DAUGHTER OF THE LATE FRED AND GRACE (PIGG) HELMS. ELSIE DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT PARKLAND HEALTH CENTER ON MARCH 10, 1999, HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF EIGHTY-ONE YEARS SEVEN MONTHS AND FIFTEEN DAYS.
ELSIE WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO ROBERT LEE STANGE ON APRIL 14, 1956, IN MISSISSIPPI.
ELSIE IS SURVIVED BY HER HUSBAND, ROBERT STANGE OF IRONDALE, ONE SON-IN-LAW, FRANK COLEMAN OF FRANKCLAY, TWO GRANDSONS, RICK COLEMAN AND WIFE SAMMIE OF FRANKCLAY, RUSSELL COLEMAN AND WIFE MARY OF IRONDALE, FOUR GREAT GRANCHILDREN, JASON COLEMAN OF IRONDALE, JENNIFER CULKIN AND HUSBAND DAVID OF IRONDALE, DEANN KINNARD OF DESLOGE, KIMBERLY KINNARD OF FRANKCLAY, TWO GREAT GREAT GRANDSONS, DEVIN CULKIN OF IRONDALE AND KOBE KINNARD OF DESLOGE, ONE BROTHER, ERNEST HARRIS AND WIFE DOROTHY OF FARMINGTON, ROY HARRIS OF COOL, CALIFORNIA, ONE SISTER, NELLIE RODGERS OF BONNE TERRE AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS SHE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY ONE DAUGHTER, SHIRLEY COLEMAN, ONE SISTER, EMMA JOHNSON AND TWO BROTHERS, PAUL AND EDDIE HELMS.
ELSIE WAS A LONGTIME BUSINESS OWNER AND OPERATOR OF THE CREAM TOP DAIRY QUEEN IN IRONDALE, MISSOURI, FOR TWENTY-ONE YEARS. SHE ENJOYED SPENDING HER SPARE TIME CANNING, SEWING AND RELAXING WITH THE TELEVISION. ELSIE WAS AN AVID CARDINAL FAN ALWAYS TAKING TIME TO SUPPORT THEM.
ELSIE HAD A GREAT LOVE IN HER HEART FOR FAMILY, FRIENDS AND ASSOCIATES. HER DAILY SMILE, KIND WORD OR HER OPEN EAR LIFTED THE SPIRITS OF ANYONE WHO SAW HER.
VISITATION WAS HELD THURSDAY, MARCH 11, 1999, FROM 5:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AT THE GUM & SON FUNERAL HOME IN IRONDALE.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED FRIDAY, MARCH 12, 1999, AT 2:00 P.M. AT THE GUM & SON CHAPEL WITH BROTHER DWIGHT BRADLEY OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN HOPEWELL CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF GUM & SON FUNERAL HOME IN IRONDALE.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE, DENNIS WOODS, CHARLES HELMS, FRED HELMS, DENNIS WELLS, DAVID CULKIN AND WARREN GIBSON.

VIRGINIA LEE BOYER OF FESTUS, MISSOURI, WAS BORN JULY 24, 1934, IN OLD MINES, MISSOURI, A DAUGHTER OF WILLIAM AND MARY GENEVIEVE PORTELL. VIRGINIA DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT HER RESIDENCE ON JUNE 14, 2001, HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF SIXTY-SIX YEARS, TEN MONTHS AND TWENTY-ONE DAYS.
VIRGINIA WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO ADRIAN J. BOYER ON DECEMBER 26, 1953, IN OLD MINES, MISSOURI, THEY WERE BLESSED TO HAVE ONE SON AND ONE DAUGHTER BORN TO THEIR UNION.
VIRGINIA IS SURVIVED BY HER LOVING HUSBAND ADRIAN BOYER OF FESTUS, ONE SON, MARTY BOYER AND WIFE VIRGINIA OF ROCKFORD, ILLINOIS, ONE DAUGHTER, LISA STANSBURY AND HUSBAND TIM OF WEST MONROE, LOUISIANA, SIX GRANDCHILDREN, TYLER AND EMILY STANSBURY, HOLLY BUQUO, ANGIE BOYER, KAREN AND SCOTT ATWATER, TWO GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, COURTNEY AND EMILY BUQUO, FIVE BROTHERS, THOMAS PORTELL OF CADET, CARL PORTELL AND WIFE MARY CATHRINE OF POTOSI, JOE PORTELL AND WIFE WANDA OF ST. LOUIS, RONNIE PORTELL AND WIFE JOYCE OF POTOSI, DONALD PORTELL AND WIFE JUDY OF CADET, TWO SISTERS, MARGARET RUNDELL OF PEVELY AND KAREN PORTELL OF POTOSI AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. VIRGINIA WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER PARENTS, WILLIAM AND MARY PORTELL, ONE SISTER, NORMA JEAN PORTELL AND ONE BROTHER, WILLIAM PORTELL.
VIRGINIA ENJOYED SPENDING TIME SEWING AND WORKING CRAFTS, SHE WAS ALWAYS LOOKING FOR A NEW IDEA TO SHARE. SHE HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR HER FAMILY AND CHERISHED EACH AND EVERY MOMENT SPENT WITH THEM. EACH OF THEM HELD A VERY DEAR PLACE IN HER HEART.
VISITATION WAS HELD SUNDAY, JUNE 17, 2001 FROM 4:30 PM TO 9:00 PM AT THE MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI, MISSOURI. ROSARY SERVICES WERE HELD SUNDAY, JUNE 17, 2001 AT 8:30 PM LED BY VIRGINIA'S BROTHER DONALD PORTELL.
FUNERAL MASS WAS CELEBRATED MONDAY, JUNE 18, 2001 AT THE ST. JOACHIM CATHOLIC CHURCH AT 10:00 AM WITH FATHER TED PIEPER OFFICIATING. MUSIC WAS PROVIDED BY THE ST. JOACHIM CHURCH CHOIR. HONORING VIRGINIA AS PALL BEARERS WERE JOE PORTELL, RANDY PORTELL, BILL PORTELL, CARLEY PORTELL AND NOONIE RUNDEL. BURIAL WAS IN THE ST. JOACHIM CATHOLIC CHURCH CEMETERY IN OLD MINES, MISSOURI. SERVICES WERE UNDER THE CARE OF THE MOORE FUNERAL HOMES, POTOSI, MISSOURI.

FRED EARNEST MOON OF MINERAL POINT, MISSOURI WAS BORN JANUARY 25, 1939 IN POTOSI, MISSOURI A SON OF THE LATE FRED LOUIS AND WILLIE MARGARET (KEITH) MOON. FRED DEPARTED THIS LIFE JUNE 18, 2001 AT THE COREY MANOR AT THE AGE OF SIXTY-TWO YEARS, FOUR MONTHS AND TWENTY-FOUR DAYS.
FRED LEAVES TO SURVIVE HIM TWO SISTERS, BERTHA WORLEY AND HUSBAND LEONARD OF FARMINGTON, MISSOURI AND BARBARA LOCKETT AND HUSBAND BILL OF ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI; THREE BROTHERS, RONALD MOON AND WIFE YVONNE OF POPLAR BLUFF, MISSOURI, ROBERT MOON AND WIFE ERNA OF BLACK, MISSOURI AND EDWARD MOON OF ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HIS PARENTS, FRED WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY TWO BROTHERS, CLIFFORD AND CLAUD HENSON AND BY FOUR SISTERS, ANNIE HENSON, LOIS HENSON, GLADYS GARDNER AND BETTY LOVINS.
FRED HAD SERVED IN THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES. HE WAS AN ACTIVE VOLUNTEER OF THE WASHINGTON COUNTY AREA, HE HAD SERVED ON THE MINERAL AREA REACT SQUAD AND EMPLOYED BY THE MISSOURI DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION AS FIRE LINE SPECIALIST. FRED HAD ALSO SERVED AS A SUBSTITUTE TEACHER WITH THE POTOSI R-3 SCHOOL SYSTEM.
VISITATION WAS HELD WEDNESDAY, JUNE 20, 2001, FROM 12:30 P.M. TO 1:00 P.M. AT MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED WEDNESDAY, JUNE 20, 2001, AT 1:00 P.M. AT THE CHAPEL WITH REVEREND JEFF RICHARDS AND BROTHER BILL LOCKETT. BURIAL WAS IN SUNSET HILL CEMETERY, HONORING FRED AS PALLBEARERS WERE, CASEY SMITH, LEONARD WORLEY, JIMMY WORLEY, MICHAEL LOCKETT, LESLIE FANOUS, JOHNNY FREEMAN, WILLIE FREEMAN AND RONNIE ADAMS. KATHY IS SURVIVED BY HER FATHER, HERCHERL COMPTON OF ELIZABETHTOWN, KENTUCKY, TWO DAUGHTERS, PEGGY LAMBEAN AND HUSBAND MIKE OF POTOSI, JACKIE EYE AND HUSBAND JERAD OF MINERAL POINT, SIX GRANDCHILDREN, THREE BROTHERS, BILLY COMPTON OF FESTUS, TIMMY COMPTON AND WIFE DEBBIE OF FESTUS, ARILN COMPTON OF ST. LOUIS, FIVE SISTERS, DIANA WELKER AND HUSBAND ROGER OF PEVELY, CAROL HORTON AND HUSBAND JIM OF POTOSI, BRENDA SEACREASE OF DIXON, MARGIE VELECHECK AND HUSBAND RAY OF DIXON, JENEATTE SHOEMAKER AND HUSBAND MARK OF FREDRICKSBERG, VIRGINIA AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. KATHY WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER MOTHER, MARILYN "PEGGY" COMPTON.
KATHY ENJOYED MAKING AND SHARING CRAFTS AND THE GREAT OUTDOORS. SHE LOVED TO SPEND TIME MOTORCYCLE RIDING AND SUNBATHING. SHE HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR HER FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS AND EACH OF THEM HELD A VERY DEAR PLACE IN HER HEART.
